Hey Shell! Check out Astrolady's BellyBelly Article link! You will have two weeks of df home.
Chrissy, that's dumb. I hope you get it back in good condition. My sister's car got broken into recently too, I don't think people really think about how much they inconvenience their victims. (My dad's car got broken into too, only it wasn't damaged, since he never locks the doors and has nothing in there )
Maz, I'm with Shell, just mention it to a dr, so they can keep an eye on it with you.
Ness, you're in trouble mate, Sims are the bomb. Is it normal The Sims or The Sims 2?
Well, I've just had some brownie for breakfast...heh heh. I'm in massive (and we are talking massive) trouble when I stop breastfeeding.
Hi all,
We have had a pretty tough 24 hours. James has vomitted 6 times this morning, and is now feeling like a new man and refusing to sleep. I am taking his to the GP this arvo tho, as you can never be too sure with bubs. He still has a rotten cold and cough.
Just a q for you all - does anyone have prob with bub rolling onto tummy in cot, then getting upset? part of why James wont sleep is because he is playing around on his tummy!!!!
SNAP Meg!! Hope James gets better soon. And yep, River does that, rolls onto his tummy to play and then gets cold and awake and cries. It doesn't happen nearly as often now he's in a sleeping bag of a night - it's a little trickier for him to turn, and he keeps a bit warmer too.
Meg - I've been thinking about buying some cot bumpers lately too as Xander hits his head so hard in the night I actually hear the 'thunk' over the monitor! Reckon they are old enough that the bumpers would be pretty safe? I know SIDS don't recommend them until 12 months, but I don't think they would recommend that Xander doinks his head that hard all the time either! I've looked at the 'ariwrap' ones, but they are way to thin to be of help.
Nelle- Thanks, I checked it out, though at our place the shift has changed to me wanting it and Df having no drive! Oh and your breakfast sounds like mine, I'm always saying to Df that I'll have to breastfeed forever cause i can eat all the crap I want (and I do) and I've still managed to be 4kg lighter than pre preggy!
Ash is always on her tummy now, its the only way she will sleep. I was worried at first but I know she can move easliy if needed, since she started sleeping on her tummy she sleeps better. It looks funny cause she tucks her knees up under her so her little bum sticks in the air.
I have a car today yet nowhere to go, how sad. Might just go for a walk down the shops later. I get my new car next Thurs! Then I'll always have a car, but still won't have anywhere to go.
thanks for responding re weird threads had a chat with ness on msn and looks like I'm not the only suss person
Meg Jack sleep son tummy so no probs there
Meg and Anna check out air wrap just google it, so much safer than conventional bumpers but still does the same job I have had it on our cot since he went in and have had friends buy after seeing ours, worth every $$
Maz hope ya feel better soon
Chrissy man you are having a run of bad luck :hugs:
 to everyone else
we having a shocker of a time here hence me being MIA, last night I seriously felt like I was going to implode, I just wanted to get in the car and drive far far away I do 99% of everythign for Jack feeds, baths, bedtime etc am home all day alone with him, I love him to death but I need and I hate sayign this just 5min to myself, I feel like i am the worst mum and wife in the world because I can't seem to keep up on the housework plus look after Jack, it is hard when its dinner/bath time for Jack and I get that done then it time to cook dinner for us, Jack is crying for me, or under my feet, then after we eat I have to clean up, do the bottles, deal with Jack iron a uniform for Jase, get jack ready for bed, feed and change him again, and still have time to relax, then jase will go to bed and I still haven't doen all the bottles or Jack is still awake but not content to be on floor, and usually I haven't had time for a shower well Last nite I just sat ont he couch lights and tv off and bawled my eyes out while nursing Jack to sleep
I am going out next wed/thurs nite for 2 1/2 hrs to do a baby/toddler first aid course and was fretting about going out without Jack but now I am counting down the days till I have a little time with no-one to worry bout but me, mind you I know I will come home, and still have dishes to do and bottle etc but still............2 1/2hrs WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! then I feel guilty for that as well *sigh*
if ya got thru that thanks
oh another ??? when do you worry about OMG runnywatery and reeky nappies, Jack has for the first time exploded out of nappies the last couple of days 2 wed, 3 yesterday and 2 today and man they are horrid, he sis till eating his formula intake is down a little but not majorly
Rach, jack may have picked up on a bug like xander did.Seems to be the month for it.
Did you get the results back anna for xander.
I havnt really seen suss threads but im pretty naive as i was with the shelley episode too.I like to think the good in people until they crap m,e off.
Rach sounds like heavy going at your place.Slavery more like it.Dont feel guilty,it sounds like your doing everything and you shouldnt have too because your husband is not a baby and if on his own would still be going to work and having to do his washing etc.
My hubby helps with dishes everynight, does his own washing, and vacumm etc when he has time on the weekend. If i have a spare 5 min i will but he is an adult and should help. His only downfall is he can be insensative at times when speaking. lol
Maz,your pressie arrived and thanks.Means alot to me.Is on my display cabinet for all to see. Its nice to know my friends are thinking of me in this worrying time. You guys are such pals!!
Chrissy,i do hope you get your car back. Its so unfair that it should happen. Thinking of you.
Ruby is being a little turd and wont sleep, better go and talk to her and tell her she just has too.lol
Nessa.. hehe. You must be ignoring me too cos youre not on msn Hehe. Nah i was rushing around this morning and came in here, posted then turned the computer off. Will be popping up the shops to do grocery shopping when Grahame gets home.. so guess will talk to ya tonight. BTW Wooo! On the Sims!! I bet youre already addicted!
Chrissy.. oh no!!!!!! Oh you poor thing.. thats terrible. I hope they can find it all ok. Im so sorry youve had a bad month.. poor thing.
Meg.. Jesse use to get upset and all that when he rolled on his tummy before he could roll back or sit up. But he sleeps on his tummy now.. even if i turn him back over, he'll just roll again. We use sleeping bags too.. cos hes always out of the covers and least that way he has something on at least.
Shell.. you can come over to my place! Ive got anzac cookies and banana cake!
Well.. had a lovely morning with mums group! Was fun! Better go quickly clean up the dishes befoe Gray gets home.
Kellxx - I've been a good little wife today too, just finished baking a beetroot & chocolate cake... smells super yummo. Just need to whip up some cream to go with it. I love anzac cookies!
Rach - Sounds like Jack has a bit of a tummy bug, or maybe he's just eaten something that doesn't agree with him? I looked at the Airwrap but they are too thin, I need something with more padding than that.
Caddie - I'm like you, I like to see the good in people... and am usually totally oblivious to 'suss' threads.
Shell - What car are you getting? How exciting.
Better go check up on the munchkin as it is too quiet so I can only assume he is up to no good
Anna**- We're getting some sort of SAAB, free! From Matt's parents, his mum is getting a new car so it works in our favour. Now that beetroot and chocolate cake sounds very interesting. I haven't heard that combo before.
Kell- Ok, I'm on my way over, save it til I get there! Glad you had good morning, I missed my mums group this week, i hate missing it cause it breaks up the week abit having some adults to converse with during the day.
Rach- Don't feel guilty, we all need baby free time. I'm looking forward to having some while matt is on his school holidays, now Ash isn't such a booby monster I can actually leave her a few hours. With regards to you doing everything have you spoke to Jase bout how you are feeling? It does sound to me like he should lift his weight a bit more. In the evenings here I usually do the cooking and dishes while the Matt feeds Ash, entertains her and does whatever needed to prepare for bed, maybe suggest something like that to Jase. I like it cause it gives matt time alone with Ash and me a break from her, even if it is just to cook.
Matt is out though tonight so I've snuck on here while Ash is in the play pen then I'll think bout dinner soon, still got the dishes I left from last night!
Hi all,
I went and bought an airwrap, and I am also trying a pillow. I know, I know risk of SIDS.... but He seems more comfy, and at least he wont bang his head.
Nelle: I hear you about eating junk food... I am lighter than when I had james, and I just downed a Macca's meal for lunch. Who knows what will happen when I stop feeding bub.
Shell: Did you find somewhere to take the car out??
Rach: You really sound like you need some baby free time. Everyone needs time out. You should make Jase get off his bottom. That really isn't fair. Enjoy your time out. maybe you should go out for a coffe or something after the course, for a bit of R&R.
Caddie: Did Ruby have a sleep?
Anna** I wish I had time to cook a cake!
James visited the doctor. and he has the all clear. Gp thinks the vomitting was due to a build up of phlegm. He was starving this arvo, pob because he threw up so much. He had one big (for him) mid morning sleep. (2 hours) so he is refusing to have another sleep today. He is in his cot having a "rest". he seems to be moving towards one sleep a day, but more of a longer sleep. 2 - 3 hours. Then he is still going from 7:30 pm to 7:30 am.
Anyway I can hear him coughing. Better go, in case he throws up again.
Ok first up i just wanna say.. we went to get KFC and they have NO CHICKEN!!!!????? OMG! How can KFC have NO CHICKEN!?!?! I was so angry! I only get KFC on pay days which is once every 2 weeks.. we didnt even get it last pay day cos we had heaps of bills and couldnt afford it.. so 4 weeks i have gone, looking forward to our treaty dinner night.. and THEY HAD NO CHICKEN!!!! We ended up having to go to Red Rooooter and i had fish and chips.. but im so sad.. i wanted KFC!
Anna**.. Beetroot and chocolate?? Wow that sounds a little.. um, interesting! How does it taste?
Shell.. have put the kettle on!
Meg.. hope James is feeling better soon. Ive heard those airwraps are good.. and if your as clever as Maz is, you could even make one.
Ok.. well, think im might go sulk in the corner over my NO CHICKEN! KFC.. and get Jesse some dinner.
Oh Kell, you've made me laugh. I do feel bad for you, I'd be pi$$ed too. I love KFC but not big on red rooter. But how can it run out of chicken? They may as well shut up shop cause what else they gonna sell just chips and potato & gravy?
Oh you've just reminded me now, mashies are back! I think I might have to jump in car now and go up to KFC.
Shell.. yeh they had Zinger burgers and mashies. DH wanted some box that comes with those and a piece of chicken. She said oh we dont have any chicken is that ok.. i yelled across him, NO! What are you gonna give us in stead then?! Like ehh if hes gonna pay for that we want something or a cheaper meal.. so she said oh we have devil wings.. so he got some of those, but i hate spicey food so it was all out for me. But otherwise yeh it wouldve just been chips and potato and gravy.. and im not really that huge a fan of P&G. Hehe it was funny.. but how can KFC run out of chicken!! NO CHICKEN!! Its like Pizza Hut running out of pizzas!
Chrissy - I am so sorry about your car, it has been a bad month for you - I hope this is the end of it all and things are on the up and up from now for you and Craig.
Rach - I so hear you on the imploding. When you don't have kids you can't believe what other mums tell you about it being hard work - but it is bl**dy hard work. My DH has made comments that he wonders what I do all day - puhleese - if I'm not changing nappies, its trying to get food into Rylee or housework or this or that and it is so isolating as well. I agree the dinner/bath thing is a mental time and I still havn't got the hang of it. Don't feel guilty because you want time away from Jack - that is normal - it is such an intense job coz you are with them 24 hours a day - doesn't stop....
Meg - poor James, I hope he is improving. You asked about my DH he is a project manager for a mining company - so we always end up in these strange places - I am totally sick of it - just want to be back home with my friends and family - fed up with not knowing anyone here, etc, etc, and Johannesburg isn't the safest place in the world, hijackings, kidnappings, guns being held at your head, so I don't have much freedom to just wander down the street.
Maz - yeah think you should go to the doctors.
For you Mums who are still breastfeeding - how many breast feeds and how many formulas (if any) do you give bubs a day????
