Caddie, thank god that it was not cancer, Im sure you must be relieved to find out what is wrong so you may be on the road to feeling better.

Thank you to my friends here that have been so supportive to me in the last few days when I have really needed help getting through each day, I really appreciate you all taking the time to look after me after all I am going through right now.

ETA I spoke to my psyciatrist yesterday and he helped me so much too and shed a new light on things also.

Hi girls thankyou for all your wonderful words.Made me feel better that maybe my life is not going to be totally boring and restrictive. Though who mentioned KFC,no more for me.Went to christina ag concert was really great except venue **** for acoustics. Her voice is amazing. Was very hard at dinner because two concerts were at the burswood and no where for food.Lines were huge.We found a little bar called allure round the hotel area and we had tapas.I managed some sushi,a couple of lamb koftas and i did sneak in a crumbed prawn which was a nono but after having a hot chicken roll and porridge before diagnosis its not going to matter. Rice porridge this morning though.
    Rikki where is this bakery??

I was reading up in the tax book that you are eligible for family tax A if you fit into the combined income cut off and haven't received any payments from family assistance office. If they have underpaid you you will get what they owe.
Family Tax B is based on the lower persons income only.
I hope I've read it correctly. We never applied for family assistance thinking we wouldn't be eligible but now I've seen in book we do make under the cut off so we must just get it in the one lump sum.

Caddie- glad you enjoyed the concert. It prolly be hard for awhile remembering what you can and can't have and remembering to check ingredients but as everyone else has said so many more options around now. Oh and I have a recipe I'll have to hunt out for you a delicious gluten free chocolate cake, its so yummy.

Belle- Glad things went well with the psychiatrist, hopefully he/she can help put you on the road to feeling 100%.

Hi funnymummy, welcome to the group!

AnnaT- Def come down, if we ever decide a meet-up, our last one we were planning didn't exactly eventuate! We are so slack.

We are off to another auction today, if we don't get this we are gouing to start looking at town houses instaed seeing as all houses are going out of our range.

    GLUTEN FREE CHOCOLATE CAKE.

    - 110gm Cadbury cooking chocolate
    - 110gm Almond meal
    - 110gm unsalted butter
    - 110gm caster sugar
    - 6 eggs.

Melt chocolate in a double boiler over small amount of simmering water (if too hot it will cook the chocolate)
When melted add butter stir til butter is melted.
Take away from water and cool slightly
    Seperate eggs
Add cater sugar to the yolks then stir this into the choc/ butter mix
    Add the almond meal.
    Beat egg whites til fluffy.
FOLD them into the mix, DO NOT beat (this is what helps cake to rise)
Put mixture into 8in cake tin with high sides
    Bake 190c for 45-50mins

The first time I made this it turned out well second time didn't rise!

If I didnt say before, sorry, but glad to hear that all is well with you Caddie and that even though it sucks at least it is something you can change your diet for.

Mmmmm I think centrelink might owe me some money, but will call them on Monday and hopefully someone will know what they are doing. For some reason I find it is a lottery when you call them, you either get someone who is really good at their job, nice helpful, knows what they are talking about or you get the total opposite, so who knows.

Eithan is still unwell, snot everywhere a horrible crackly cough, so clingy. Bella is staying at Leith's parents tonight though, so hopefully I can get stuck in and clear up the mess in her room. Bella likes to hoard things but forgets they are there until I try to throw them away, so hopefully without her here I can get it sorted out.

Shell-Goodluck with the Auction today, you know if you cant get a house you can always make the move to tassie. That's if you could put up with the cold winters. Not many houses go for auction down here, it is pretty much make an offer between x amount of $ and y amount of $ and they either accept your offer or not. When we were buying our land it was for sale for $97,000 we offered $93,000 and they came back and said that they would accept an offer of $94,00, so we did and we got it, now we are just waiting on the titles to be issued and money to change hands and then we can look at getting all our building approvals.

Belle-Glad to hear that the physchiatrist helped.

Well Bella had fun last night. Leith won an award for work. Ummm Eithan is still asleep, poor baby, he must be really sick. I BF him in myer and he went to sleep, then had a wander around met Leith for lunch then we went for coffee, put him in the car, drove home, took him out and put him in his cot and he is still asleep. Anyway better go and attempt some housework before he wakes.

    Love

Hey Myer's great for BF isn't it Helen! Man I had such a hard night (for us) with River last night, he's teething and I think that in combination with being in a new place makes him so hard to settle, usually when he wakes up he's easy to settle, but it took about an hour each time...and then there was no settling after about 4am. But there are plenty of people here to watch him, so I got a huge sleep-in.

Hey welcome Mel, nice to meet you.

Kell, I reckon I'm just going to bug you til you come back...hope you're still reading otherwise I'm wasting precious...pixels?

Man I'm so out of it, I think I'm really dehydrated cos River got fed so many times last night. Rans made up a jug of cordial for me, so I'm drinking that. I said 'nice jug' to him, and he said 'this one leaks too'. Cheeky.

lol nelle, you & Rans crack me up.

Nina has got her first molar come through today she's been a little unsettled at night, but we haven't been giving her any nurofen or bonjella at all. She'd normally settle with a little bit of milk. Hope the others come through just as good.

    hi mel, welcome!

    How'd you go today shell?

belle - great to hear you're on the way to recovery!! that's great news about the physchiatrist.

helen - I hope Eithan gets better soon.

Well we listed our unit for sale today, offers over $219k, not bad considering we bought it for only $160k 12 months ago. The market is really strong here ATM so it should sell very soon. Wish me luck!!

Hi ladies, Thanks for the warm welcomes!

Nessa, hope your able to put your feet up soon.

Jodi, I think that Elly is just about to cut her molars as well, she usually gets 2 teeth at a time and already has her 8 front teeth. She is showing the usual signs of teething but i thought it was a bit too early for her to get her molars. Now that Nina has cut one of hers it could be possible. She has been a bit early with all of her teeth, started around 5mths. Im glad to hear that her molar didnt give her too much trouble. Apparently the Canines are the worst, quite painful.

Jodi - good luck on selling your unit. Jodi - did you ask about how Rylee went with the weaning - I can't remember if I answered you - but she was fine - think she has forgotton all about my boobs now....I feel a bit emotional about it though but will get there.
Shell - how did the auction go today?
Helen - poor Eithan - hope you got into Bella's room and sorted it out.
Nelle - bummer on Riv's sleeping.
Belle - hope things will be on the up and up for you now.
Caddie - Way to go on the Christina Ag concert, that would have been very cool.
Hey to all the other Mum's and bubs.
Not much here - Ry is now waking 12 am and 5 am - better than she has been - takes 100 mls of formula each time and goes back to sleep....
    Have a nice Sunday girls.

Caddie - Happy to hear that it is "only" caeliacs. Was really worried for you that it might've been something more sinister. At least there are lots of caeliac friendly foods available in shops to choose from.

Wow, I've missed way too many posts so buckleys of catchin up with personals. Though would love to say a big welcome to funmummy. Oh, and a big thank you to Meg for sharing with us your story - seems like I know you a lot better now!

Not much to report around here, Xander is getting a new bottom tooth and it is causing him a lot of grief (at least now I have an explanation re the sleep troubles as of late). Scott is on holidays so am unlikely to be on here as much as usual; I probably should spend some quality family time with my family

Ok, off to go catch up on reading all these posts.

No house for us again, this time we didn't get our hopes up so we weren't too dissapointed, just pi$$ed off! When we first started out things were going bout 20% over advertised price now its more like up near 30% which is just ridiculous. We are just gonna start looking at town houses, I would've liked a back yard but seems land is too expensive.

Sharleen! Are you back to stay? Or just popping in? How are all the kids?

Anna**- don't you love having hubby home on holidays, mine goes back mon so I'm gonna miss sleep-ins and help around the house.

Belle- I think 1 beer would go to my head too and make me dizzy! Glad you had a nice day though. Its great to get the chance to go out for dinner cause these days it becomes a rare thing.

Laurin- Ash did those wake up time for quite a while then eventually she has cut down to once a night, she still has her bad nights though, we wnet thru a week of her waking at 11:30 everynight and taking ages to settle.

Nessa- Big . Hope today you are feeling alot better. that sucks bout the phone and being "water" damage you won't be covered. Maybe try dry it out? I dropped mine in the bath awhile back and used a hair dryer on it.

Jodi- if the market up there is as strong as down here you should make lots extra cash, even in the 5 months we've been looking for a place the prices have just sky rocketed.

HelenP- How is Eithan today? Any better? Don't think I could move to tassie for the fact I'd miss my family too much but I've always wanted to holiday down there, just gotta talk Df into it.

Not much on for me today, looks like a boring day, done dishes, will do some washing, change sheets. Df will lay around all day as he is hung-over as usual for a sunday. Hope you're all enjoying your weekends.

Hi Sharleen, how's things? You coming back to us too?

shell - we had our house valued at the beginning of the year for low $400's, now it's worth mid to high $400k. It's just crazy this market. I hope you find something soon though. Even if it is a townhouse, at least it gets your foot in the real estate market, then from there you can eventually get what you want.

nessa - I pushed Heath in the pool once, and didn't realise his phone was in his pocket (whoops!!). He too had insurance & got a new phone out of it. A better phone too as they no longer made his original phone.

anna** - I hope Xanders tooth comes through soon and he starts sleeping well again.

Shell... Good idea to get a townhouse or something smaller. Just think of it as a temporary step in getting the house you want. You can do it up and sell for a nice profit... then buy your house!

Happy 11 Months to Alexander! Only a few short weeks and he'll be 1!
