Laurin.. oh you poor thing. Would standing in there and patting her to sleep help any? When i transitioned from rocking Jesse as he was getting too heavy, i started out by rocking him in his room. When he started to nod off id then put him in bed (if she starts to get heavy take a chair in and rock on the edge of it). I did that for a few days and slowly creeped it up to putting him in bed when it was bed time, but id stand in there next to him, put his dummy in etc. If he got all worked up and started crying or screaming i would pick him up until he settled back down again and was on the verge of falling asleep, then put him back to bed where he's soon fall asleep there. Once he got use to being in bed with me next to him, as he started to fall asleep, id walk to the other side of the room where he couldnt see me and wait for him to fall asleep. Again if he got upset id go back to him. Just repeating that process slowly, he now can be put in his room and fall asleep himself. Its a long process but it seemed to work for him quite well, rather than the sudden transition to fall asleep on his own. But :hugs: hun you are doing a great job and you are a great mum!

Sharleen.. hehe.. hope Ambah gets better soon poor pet.

Shell..poor ash. Try and get an early night if you can. Hope shes better soon.

sharleen - hope Ambah comes good soon. You doing much for her b'day at the end of the month? We're just having a bbq with family. That was a shame Bre was sick for her b'day.

laurin - is she asleep now? I hope you didn't get too worked up over it. I'm sure people understand what it's like to have a baby. In an apartment it must sound 100 times worse.
Following on from Kel's advise, when I'm trying something new, I'll always do it for 3-5 nights, if it hasn't worked by then, I go back to the beginning and start something new.

megan - Nina is the same tonight. She only normally has one day sleep, but she had an hour late this afternoon, and is still wide awake now. She's normally in bed no later than 6.30pm!!

shell - hope you get plenty of rest tonight. When do you work again?

Well,by the sound of that hehehehe sharls has got something to say? mmm
And i agree helen could be an implantation bleed? Interesting.
Laurin know how you feel sometimes regarding the sleep.
Ruby has 1 sleep a day sometimes.Today she went to bed at 12pm and slept 3 hrs.So lots of cleaning was done and had mum for dinner too.If she sleeps in the am even for an hr she rarely has an afternoon one.She just rolls and talks to herself in her cot.
Great pram annt! wish i could have had one but no chance now!!

I hope things do start looking up for you. Ambah is going to love her b'day party, and so will all the other kids!! I think if we had other kids, or we knew people with other kids, we'd have a big party too. But Nina is the only baby/child in both our families.

Eeeeeek implantation bleed????????- the thought had not even crossed my mind. If I was preggers though I would be completely ecstatic about it. We are trying not to fall preg just yet as I am waiting to get into my endicrinologist and I cant get into to see her until Oct. We havent really done anything to really fall pregnant. We use doms, apart from once last week but it was put on 1/2 way through so if I am preg it is one lone ranger spermie that has done it. Anyways I dont think I am, I just think my cycle is all over the place. I am hoping that Anna is next, sending some baby dust your way.............

Well Eithan has decided that now is the right time to chuck a tantie, so will be back later for personals.

    Ok back again.

Sharleen-I hope that Ambah gets better soon.

Annie-Whooohoo on the job. Yes I reckon it is scary too, but you will do great and the kids will be fine. Have fun shopping for some new clothes.

Shell,-I hope that you managed to get some rest.

Laurin-Rylee sounds exactly like what Bella was like as a baby. Sorry but we had so much trouble with her, if we did anything else she would vomit everywhere. If it helps she did grow out of it and is a terrific sleeper now.

Hi Caddie, Kell, Jodi, Maz, Anna, AnnaT, Nelle, Belle, Meg, Nessa, Ambz, Vixstar, Rach, Chrissy, Rikki and all the people I have missed, sorry.

Oh and we will be hoping to TTC late this yr. We have told our families that we are not having anymore, so TTC is a secret, but you guys wont tell, will you???? We arent telling family because it took soo long to concieve Eithan and the pressure from family from the constant asking if we were pregnant was just awful,. They meant well but nevertheless it was hard to always say no. So this time we will do it in secret and then share the happy news when I manage to fall pregnant.

    Love

    An extra big thank-you

I am sitting here eating my morning tea, and it has just occured to me that I have not had a panic attack in about 6 weeks now. I think that it is because of the support from all of you in this thread is why I am feeling better. I find this thread a way to debrief, and say things that I don't even tell my close friends. You girls have allowed me to express my feelings, and listening you your stories makes me realise that all babies have their little quirks, and they are never going to be perfect all the time.
I still get a little nervous about a few things. (he is not cruising yet, and has really only just started tummy crawling) but I know that he will get there in the end.

So a BIG THANK YOU to everyone

Meg- Good idea, we can start ttc at similar times, we were loking bout July next year but will reassess closer to the time.

Shar- Good to hear Ambah is alot better.

HelenP- We will keep your secret, ikwym though we made the mistake of telling people we were ttc Ash and it took nearly 1.5 years so ppl asking all the time are you preg yet and then asking why? Whats wrong with you doesn't go down too well.

Annie- Congrats, be great if you find someone to job share with, you think you'll get nanny in for the kids or child care?

Ash has decided her fav thing is putting things in and out of things. Its fine when its her toybox or something but when its the bin its pretty disgusting. She's learnt how to open it too so thats a pain, gotta watch her closely she always up to something!

Oh anyone heard crumpet toast? I found it at supermarket this morning, not as good as a crumpet but nicer than ordinary toast. Though its hard to eat these days seeing as Ash isn't in to sleeping, used to wait til she had a nap.

ETA: Thats great Meg bout the panic attacks and you're right it is great to see how all bubs are just so different that you don't have to stress what your bub is or isn't doing. I think I'd go crazy without everyone too. The only advice I really get outside of here is my sister (which is great) or sil and mil and according to them their kids always perfect sleeping thru so early doing this or that.

Meg.. :hugs: its been wonderful having you hear and getting to know you. Im so happy for you not having any panic attacks, and im glad that our madness on here is keeping you from them! My msn is usually always on when im home so if im away give me a buzz, i wont be too far away from the computer. But its so true.. our little bubs will get there in the end, they all do things at different stages.. Jesse still doesnt say anything that doesnt sound like babble. He'll babble bub bub bub but thats it. Doesnt say mum mum or da da.. but he'll get there one day. Same with James and his cruising. I say as long as they have a smile on their face, thats most important.

Shell.. yes! We bought it last week too! Gray loves it.

Sharleen-Great to hear that Ambah is doing much better. Eithan had it a few weeks ago and it is so horrible for them.

Meg-That's wonderful news, great that you can rely on us for some honest information. I love it that everyone is open with their own issue/problems with bubs and hubby's, makes me feel less isolated.

Shell-Yuck the bin!!!! Eithan hasnt pulled himself up on ours yet, but you can guarentee that when he does he will figure out how to open it too. Yep that crumpet bread is nice.

Well Bella still wont eat, it has been nearly a week now and she will hardly touch more than a bite of anything. I just gave her a scoop of icecream and she didnt even eat that! Better go, waiting from a call from Leith and I have to get off net so he can get through as I have hidden my mobile somewhere.

Helen.. the poor chook. Is there anything she will eat? Mum once said my sister did something similar at that age. All she would eat was the occasional vegemite sandwiches. She took her to the doctor who said just let her eat them. She will eat when she is hungry, she's not at the age to want to starve herself yet. Hope she starts eating again though.

Helen - when Wilhelm doesnt eat I get some incremen into him. Its a liquid (god I was going to say fertilizer then) multi vitamin for kids that arent eating...it really helps boost him up and within 3 days he's eating again. Its in a tallish bottle with a yellow label on it and a giraffe and its about $22 a bottle but so worth it. It took me ages to find something that would help and i hide it in his milo. Big hugs matie...I know were your coming from. Wilhelm went 3 and a half weeks with out eating just after we had Vy.
BBL Have a sick little pooh coughing her lungs out
Big hugs to everyone with sick babies..
