I think Ive updated J's site recently.

Well we've decided baby boy will be named Ripley. Its unique, its spunky and it fits iykwim. It was never on our list and certainly isnt our favourite names (our #1 picks are totally different and neither of us are willing to budge lol) but it just feels right. I felt the same way when naming Jett (was never even considered until his godmum suggested it and even then I still wasnt sure about it) but I love it now and couldnt imagine him being anything but.
I know my mother isnt impressed with our choice but secretly that just makes me like it more

Anywho off for coffee and munchies at a friends place. Poor thing has been pegged as babysitter for 2 extra kids (in addition to her own 2 boys) tonight by "friends" of ours and she isnt even getting paid for it They do this to her all the time and it makes me mad because imo its abusing her generosity as a friend. They dont even babysit HER kids for her if she needs it.

Anna - aw poor X I hope it passes quickly. I know what you mean about Drs though, its the same down here, you wait weeks and weeks for an appointment. Its ridiculous and the government should do something about it.

anyway, sorry to hear about all the unwell bubs and not being able to get in and see a doctor that is bad when little bubs are concerned.

annaT - I love the name Ripley - I havn't heard of any other bubs called Ripley but it is a great name. How cute sorting out all Jett's newborn clothes.

Shell - sorry about the Saints losing . How are Ash's hives- any better?

Oh man - I have the whingyiest baby on my hands - her temp is down and vomiting stop but still grizzlebum, better go, bbl

I like the name Ripley! I've always liked since that show 'Ripley's believe it or not'

It is bad when you can't see a doctor when your baby is sick. The only option for us is to wait it out at the GP after hours (which usually takes hours as they don't do bookings - then charge $100!) so I'm just going to keep an eye on him. He seems ok when he has nurafen or panadol, so unless he gets worse I'm gonna have to wait till Monday.

Caddie - I thought you were immune to hand/foot/mouth once you've had it??? Do you know where she picked it up?

Ash had hand/foot/mouth last week, I did read that after you have it once you are then immune to it. God knows where they get it. It said they get it from feacal matter or from the weepy blisters and I just had no idea where we could've been to get it!

Anna**- Could you see if emerg is busy at your hosp and maybe pop in there?

well I think I'll pop into bed now. Df and I been playing card games all night.

Shell - If he gets worse, I will take him to emergency, but because of the hysteria over the flu, emergency departments in Perth are packed to the max! I'm gonna sleep in his room tonight just so I can be nearby. If he is like this still tomorrow, I'll find somewhere as I'm starting to wonder also if it is partly a reaction to the vaccine he had on Thursday.

Oh, I have no idea how much Riv weighs, might have to take him in hey...I'll get back to you!

Sorry if I worried you about the ho thing Laurin, was just being random. When in doubt, assume I'm joking.

I quite like the name Ripley Annat. Also quite liked Gage.

Sorry to hear about the Saints Shell, I specifically asked Dad who won cos I was thinking of you. You'll get through this hard time mate.

Hoping all those sick bubs are sleeping well and on the mend! It's tough when they're sick hey, but they can't tell you all their symptoms.

You hit it on the head with the m/s Sharle, it's the 'all the time' part that's the worst, even if the sickness is mild, there's no relief. I'm starting to dread nights, cos that's when it's worst. Seems okay tonight though, we were summoned to mum and dad's today for a bit of pampering in the sun. So I got constantly fed, which I think really helped. It's just when I'm at home, I can't be bothered constantly eating, which I regret later! You affected much by all that rain?

How are you going Annie, have you found a special 'you and Alex' kind of time/activity to help you feel close still?

Well, while I'm feeling okay, I might try to doze off. Hope everyone's having a good weekend! xo

    Hi ladies

    sorry been away so long
savanna has also been unwell with a virus too.
she has had very high temps coughing and runny nose and just so lethargic poor bubby.
we had to rush her to the docs at 10pm one night as she was really burning up and we were sooo worried. lucky for us we have a 24 hr 7 days a week bulk billing clinic not far from home.

anna - when i rang to make an appointment with our local doctors during the day they said they were booked out flat for a couple days but when i mentioned that she was an 11 month old baby with flu like symptoms they told me to come in pretty much straight away.

i hope all the bubbas get better soon its so scary with this influenza A virus going around that we cant take any chances at all.
also hope all the pregnant ladies are doing well

NO MORE MORNING SICKNESS AND NAUSEA YEEEHAAAA !! i think it passed by around 12 weeks. this pregnancy has been quite different to my first.

These little stats updates are so interesting.

Ok, just got back from a ludicrously overpriced GP After Hours clinic with a 2 hour wait... Xander has a really bad ear infection, in both ears! No wonder he has been screaming around the clock with a fever. Poor little mite. He's got some heavy duty antibiotics to help him get better.
