I haven't had a good day. I'll just copy what I wrote in my belly buddies group:

Back from my 'checkup'. I ended up having to go down to the hospital to be monitored for a few hours. I still have protein in my urine, my swelling is pretty bad today and I haven't been getting very many movements lately.
Bub was fine, heartrate normal, but she's not moving a lot. They're keeping an eye on me for the swelling and protein, again. The only good news is that my bp is still low. If it starts rising then they'll have to monitor me more closely.

Anway, enough about me.

maz, so glad you havent posted it yet as i need breast pads as well, i will email you soon hun. i have 2.5 weeks left till school holidays.....7 kids for 2 weeks..and 35weeks preggers, and i promised my 4 im taking them to newcastle show, so thats going to be interesting.....i i might take the pram with a fold up chair so i can just sit and watch them on the rides all day,and i dont have to carry all the ***** you end up with, ........be very interesting

Maz - thats great news about the money.

Not much happening here. Just made shepherds pie for dinner. J LOVED it. Then he had fruit salad for dessert. He picks the grapes out though and tried to feed them to the dog!!!!


ETA - Nelle - J sleeps really well in the KinderKot. It is so much easier that a portacot, and still keeps him nice an snug. It would be great for a new bub. It is probably good to try and get the new bub used to it while they are young though

Maz,thats so fabulous that you got some money to help out with everything.That is a great woohoo.

Unfortunatly no dinner cooked here as i have been vomiting all last night and have felt awful all day.My body feeld like its been hit by a mack truck.

Wow she is so cute, thanks for the updates Kell. Df and I are impressed at what nice quick labour, he also commented Adam was lucky that he only had to be around 5 mins!

Caddie- Hope you start feeling better, all these illnesses are going round at the moment.

HelenP- Big hugs to you, sounds like you're having rough time we definately will need to have msn night think we're due for one.

Nelle- omg can't believe you are due in 7 days!

Jodi- oh that doesn't sound too good, try not to worry bout it too much, sounds like bub is doing well, maybe she's not moving so much cause now shes bigger gets harder to move. Keep getting regular checks, keep on top of it.

Maz- That is great you are getting some assistance, all these costs from getting to from appts and whatever else comes up all add up so at least you have one less worry having some money aside to help out with things.

I had big day today, shopping for present for baby shower I have on sunday, had to buy my bridesmaid shoes (got $20 off yay!) then had mums group in arvo.

Tomor get nice break, going to visit my friend in Castlemaine and gonna stay night so we'll see how Df goes without me for all that time.

Shell - I am busy tomorrow, but will be home all day Thursday. Do you want to drop over on your way home for a cuppa?

the reason I asked is

1. it doe
2. it doesn't stop them getting chicken pox
3. in Japan where the vaccine has been used for 20 odd years a higher than normal episodes of shingles has been occuring
4. vaccine only lasts 10 years
5. Jack is not in the high risk category for chciken pox, ie no older sibling, not in childcare etc

I had it as a adult and I know how bad it can be, I spent 2 weeks buck naked as I couldn't wear clothes laying on my bed in a dark room with Jase spoging me with pintasol mixture ......... so yes I know how bad it can be

anyway we are still undecided we may hold off giving it to him and give it with his 4yr needles, a lot of the info I was reading yesterday says that the majority of cases in under 10 yrs is extremely mild, yes there are possible complication but there is with everything you dont vaccinate against IYKWIM!!! and a lot of theinformation said if they haven't had it by 10 yrs then is a good time to vaccinate.......

I am all for immunisations where the vaccine helps to eradicate (sp??) the disease but chicken pox and rota virus vaccine dont prevent just can make the outbreak milder than normal anyway I didn't want to start anything just ask a simple question tryiing to gather info about the pro's/con's

well Jack is 18 mths :dance: (yesterday) only seems liek yesterday we were in townsville having him I can't beleive how quickly the 18 mths have passed, he has all his teeth bar the 2 yr molars now :) he had his first dentist visit last week and his teeth are looking great she said

Rach.. i think there is a thread somewhere regarding the chicken pox vaccination. You might find more info there.
We got it for Jesse a few weeks ago being the fact DH has never had it and it can turn him sterile now if he was to get it.. and we want to prevent that as much as we can to maybe happen to Jesse. He had no reaction to it at all, didnt even cry for the first time with the needle. It doesnt stop them getting chicken pox 100% but it has its purpose otherwise the govournment wouldnt pay for us to give it to our kids.. it wouldnt exist. Its the same with any vaccine. They are there to try and lessen the disease (if thats what theyre called) in the population. You can get chicken pox from someone walking through a shopping centre or down the street.. you dont necesarily have to be incontact with kids.

Each to their own.. its a personal opinion and decision.. thats just mine.

well i had coke and choccy easter eggs for brekky, followed closely by peanut better toast

well im on a liquid diet.I have gastro and i have never had the ****s so bad.Even from bali belly.Last time i did i was in hospital.So im sucking a gastrolyte icypole and praying my husband will take care of me.Fat chance.:(

hi ladies

i posted a long post yesterday and the bloody thing didnt come up.

anyways just letting you know whats happening...
last night tiarna was really unsettled and never slept at all..maybe for an hour or so the whole night... i was beside myself!! then savanna woke at 5:30am and i took and hour and 45 minutes to put her back to bed.. lucky tiarna slept through it but by the time i went to bed tia woke up again.. she would not drink any milk all night and screams if i try to rock her in my arms or even hold her.. she has been like this since birth but not as severe.

i called my mum in tears and she came rushing over (she was on her way to work)

we took tia to the doctors this morning

my poor darling has silent acid reflux which has been giving her so much pain.
i cant stop crying im such an emotional mess...everything just seems too hard and im so exhausted..it doesnt help that hubby works nights and im all on my own. im really getting scared im going to get post natal depression because i can see im just not myself. i just feel like im falling apart slowly. ive tried to tell hubby but he still doesnt seem to understand.

anyway... she has started on Zantac and AR formula so hopefully she will get better.

Anyone else been through this? please ... i need advice...

ambz, I'm so sorry to hear of what you're going through. I haven't been through it, but some of the other girls here have. I know Belle & Meg has/had PND and I know when our Sept bubs were younger there were some colicy babies. Hopefully someone can give you some advice. Hang in there honey.

Caddie - Hope you are on the mend.

Ambz - J had silent reflux, and the Zantac did the trick. He improved in about a week!!!

Also the PND - If you think that you are feeling like you are heading that way, call PANDA. THey are awesome, and they will ask you some questions and gather how you are going.

TBH, you are probably just extremely tired. You are caring for 2 your children, some of the time on your own. Make sure that you ask for help. It is great that you called your mum. There is a fine line between sleep deprivation and PND. Hang in there matey.

ETA - I just realised that you are in Melbourne. If you have Private Health Insurance, call North Park Private hospital Mother/Baby unit. They have mothers in there with PND, but also mothers in there that have really unsettled babies. They have a great Paed team, and I cannot rave about them enough. You can spek to them and possibly be admitted for a 4 night sleep assistance with T. I would call them asap if you can

AMBZ - honey big hugs re Tiarna mate, hope she feels better soon. You must be stressed out. Hopefully its just tiredness but keep a diary on how you are feeling over the next 2 weeks honey, see how many up/down days you have. Also see Beyond Blue website too they have a questionnaire on there you can do also to see how you are feeling. I think Megs suggestion is wonderful, I wish we had something up here like that. My PND started when Julia didnt put on weight for 2 weeks from 4 weeks old to 6 weeks old so I understand how you are feeling, feel free to email me or msn me if you want to chat I am here for a shoulder if you just want to talk ok.

Ambz, I just want to say hang in there! Im in the same boat with 2 so close together and it was an absolute nightmare for the first 10wks or so, and I even gave up breastfeeding. Now that Rips is 3mths old life is so much better- he's more settled, he's sleeping from 11pm-6am which makes me feel a whole lot saner and he's easier to fit in with our routine. Feels like those first hellish weeks were all a dream. Dont be afraid to ask for help either - I thought I was getting PND for awhile there but with some support from my friend and a chat with my GP & MCHN I realised I was just exhausted and feeling unsupported. Get checked out though just in case you need some more indepth help. Big hugs lovey :hug:

Caddie you deserve a hug too :hug: having the cha cha's or chuckies sucks, esp when you have kids to take care of and your hubby wont help you out.

Silent reflux, how were you to know Ambz!? How tricky. That's so reassuring that Zantac worked for Meg and J, hopefully that will bring you guys some relief just as quickly. Keep us posted, keep talking about how you're feeling. And definitely keep drawing upon your support people in this time, if Tia's on formula temporarily, perhaps that'll give you a chance to have a longer sleep than usual to catch up a bit, if someone else feeds her?

Lol at your breakfasts, I had cereal...but I'm having Easter bunny now for dinner!! I gave River my serving of home-made soup cos I couldn't be faffed making him something new. :p When Rans comes home with bread and other groceries, I guess I'll make myself something more substantial then.
Might have a spa bath tonight too, Rans is going through a spa bath phase...? I could do with a back rub for sure! And maybe I can bubble this baby out. :p

Of course it did, Frozen Coke helps EVERYTHING! Except going into labour it seems, and trust me, that's not for lack of Frozen Coke here! :p
I'd better keep trying though, just in case you need a certain amount of them before they start to work...

Jodi, I am working on a 'Nappy Dictionary' of sorts right now! It's great for my boredom! Then I can just pass that on to anyone who needs it, instead of writing something new each time. :D
I've forgotten just how much basic info there is that I've taken for granted though - sheesh it's a huge learning curve! If you print it out or something though, and just refer to it as you need, that should be less overwhelming...
