Hi - a quick one from me. Been AWOL as it was my sisters wedding in the weekend, and it was a 3 day event with the tea ceremony, the actual wedding then the day after the wedding with all the guests from Malaysia. Anyway I worked yesterday, and I am TIRED.
Belle - Hope Julia is getting better.
Maz - Hope all is going well.
Hope all the preggy girls are keeping out of the heat.
Meg, how was the wedding? Everything go well? Sounds exhausting.
Maz, when are your appt's at the hospital? How long does it take you to drive down here? Be busy time for you.
Belle- How is Julia today? Have the Ab's kicked in?
Been bit quiet in here today. Thank god cool change is here.
man it is so quiet in here...what is everyone off having babies or something??? Yay for the cool change, last night was unbearable, Rylee has a cold and woke up about 30 times from when I put her to bed until 5am....anyway happy it has cooled down.
Belle -how is Julia going?
Meg - the wedding sounded awesome.
AnnaT - great news on moving to Townsville, bet you can't wait and you will have our very own Jodi to show you around and a playmate for Jett!!!!
Helen - on a quick TTC journey for you.
Maz - how are you going super woman???
Okay see you all tomorrow.
Laurin x
Hi, how's it going Shell - we posted at the same time!!
Laurin, god you must be tired with Rylee waking so often and mixed with the heat. I kept Df awake by coughing all night.
Kell, where are you? I forgot to ask how the u/s went on sat, did they confirm 100% a girl?
belle - how are you and Julia going? Did you get me message. Sorry I didn't call earlier. And stupid MIL, if she can't be bothered to pass on a message, then she shouldn't answer the phone. gggrrrrrr (sorry, cranky at her ATM!!)
Laurin - hopefully you have a better night tonight.
maz - goodluck with your appointments this week. Let us know how you go.
That's all I have time for, I'm so tired tonight.
Hiya girls. Not much here, girls just getting over there colds.Millana had a temp last night but nurofen kicked it in the butt. They always get worse at night.
Going to mum and dads for dinner.might have a go at making mint slice.
Belle hope julia is feeling better
Nelle, hope You have your bubs soon.
bum i can hear our work car playing up,better check on aaron bbl to read the posts again.Sorry having problems and stress wqith our car again.
Hi ya guys
SELFISH POST !!!!!!!
Wilhelms appointments and meeting went well...we are getting funding so we can buy one of those egg type chairs from IKEA that are $150. His school uses them for the autistic kids so they can have time out without leaving the room. We so need something like this for him at home cause he lsot his room when mateauz was born and now has no 'cave' to retreat to. Will be picking it up tomorrow when we're in Melbourne.
We have to see the Nurologist and Hemotologist. VERY scared but hopefully I might be able to sleep from tomorrow onwards. Mateauz is in his cot in his room now and I wake everyhour and check on him. Im so scared of him having more seizures and I am so scared of finding him dead in the mornings. I never worried about cot death and all with the others but I suppose after everything my little man has gone through I just cant help it.
Thank god for my sewing ATM..its the only thing keeping me sain
ok better go and shower while he's still asleep
hop everyone is well and that the heat has cooled down
Just a quick post -
Maz - That's great news for Wil! Hope all goes well tomorrow  I know the feeling with the checking on bubby at night-time, I've been like that with all of mine since the scare with Bre when she was 4 weeks old - luckily the feeling has lessened with time, but still is in the back of my mind.
Helen - Good luck with TTC, hope all goes quickly and smoothly for you guys
Hi to everyone else :grouphug: Love to all :heartbeat:
hi ladies
sorry no personals so very tired
tiarna is not sleeping well and is constantly getting up the moment i put her down
she was up from 7pm till 3:30am so she was so overtired and just cried and cried
i really found it difficult cause i was so worried savanna would wake up too
ahhhhhh its a really trying time having two babies close together and its been very stressful but im hoping it will get better
i cant seem to get her into a routine either whist juggling savanna at the same time. i dont even remember how i managed to get savanna to self settle .. i wish there was an instruction manual somewhere!! lol
still breast feeding which has also become stressful cause she will only drink for under 5 minutes on one breast then pull off so i change her nappy then try again
sometimes she goes back but sometimes she refuses and gets wingey and crys..i dont want to offer other breast cause she wont get the good milk so i keep her on the same breast cause it still has alot of milk in it.. arghhh
any advice would be appreciated.
how do i settle and put her to sleep? she never falls asleep drinking either.
i wrap her but i dont think she likes it...but then im worried she will keep waking if i dont wrap her cause she has that startling reflex going on..
PLEASE HELP!!!
day sleeps are hard to cause savanna is so noisey and wakes her up
damn open plan living is irritating!
thanks ladies
luv ambz
Ambz- Firstly big  Hmmm, jut trying to think what worked for us with Ash. Does she fall asleep in the pram? I remember at times just pushing the pram round til she fell asleep and let her sleep there. Or if she is in a bassinet I used to rock that to help. Maybe you could hire a hammock? I never used one but from what I've heard they can be quite helpful.
With the breastfeeding maybe call the ABA or post in the BF section about that prob. Try work out why she is coming off after 5 mins, could she be fast drinker therefore finished that side? I hope you work something out.
Maz- Good luck tomor with the appt and big  to you too. It so hard not to worry. is there any room in your room for the cot? Just so you can put your mind at ease and have him nearby, or those special monitors? How is Wil going at school? Has he settled well?
Ash has just woken so will bbl.
ambz - now you're making me think! I'd completely forgotten what I did with Nina. With the b/f, like shell said, do you think she's finished that side? How does your breast feel after 5 min? Nina was a super quick feeder, 5 min on one side and she was content until the next feed. How does she burp, is she a good burper? Have you tried that then putting her back on? How about offering the second side, then quickly switching back to the first breast before she realises. Do you think that would work?
I never wrapped Nina. She hated it. What I did have for Nina though was a sleep positioner. That worked a treat for settling Nina for sleeps.
Not sure what to suggest during the day when there is a lot of noise going on. Have you tried putting her down and shutting her door, therefore trying to shut out the noise? Or how about a baby carrier, that way you can carry her around hands free when she's sleepy?
I really don't know what to suggest. I guess I'll be in the same boat in a few weeks time.
maz - that's fantastic news about Whilhelm!! It must have been hard on him losing his room. How is he settling in with a new baby?
Good luck with the upcoming appointments. I'm sure everything will go fine. From the sounds of it he's going great. Do you have a sound and movement monitor set up for him now that he's in his own room?
Try and get some rest when you can. You need your strength remember.
Ambz you poor thing. You sound so stressed.Just relax, your doing the best you can and its great your trying different things.I would keep her wrapped up if she is waking her self from the startle reflex. My friend had to do that for 6months.She also had a hammock for the early stages. At one stage i had ruby in a pram in the lounge and would get her to sleep that way.Once a sleep would leave her in her pram and when she woke would give a feed then cot.She couldnt wind down properly but once half asleep she was fine.
As for b.f no idea. Give the ABA a ring for sure.Visit your local ngala or health service and speak to someone regarding sleep issues and help.
Maz,im glad your hetting help with wilhelms needs.I hope mateuz appointments go well too.Just for your ease of mind.I totally understand you with the sewing thing.I do that with scrapbooking but i dont half half the crapola you have. As i say you are a great loving person with lots of patience.
Ok i got to make some stuff for the stall and get ruby to sleep. She just wont have an afternoon sleep anymore. She is such a turd!!!
I took Ash for her 18 month mchn appt today and she is now 11.08kg and 83cm long. Thing I am happy with is her weight at 12 months was in 25% and now up to 50% so altho she is fussy with her food and doesn't eat all that much I know she must be eating what she needs.
Oh and new trick I learnt tonight was hide her vegies under mash potato.
Shell.. im here :) Just so tired and buggered atm after a full on day with jesse half the time i have no energy to think and post. Scan went well! Yes its definately a girl!! They cant say 100% but she had a perfect shot and paused and showed me a few times the girly bits. So very happy!! Thats great Ash's appointment went well. I still have to book Jesse in.
Maz.. thats great youre getting your funding!
yay Kell, now you can go out with confidence and spend up on all things pink!
GOODLUCK TOMORROW MAZ WILL BE THINKING OF YOU AND MAT
Kell - congrats on definately a girl mate!
Thanks for all your thoughts and wishes girls, Julia is doing so much better. The ABs have kicked in thanks Shell, shes so much better and back to her babbling self and normal sleep patterns.
Soooooo Chrissy we are coming up mate! we are much better all round. If you are still keen to catchup that would be great! Will give ya a call to see whens best for you.
Have a good Easter Girls.
Bel

belle, that's fantastic news that Julia is getting better! I hope you enjoy your easter.
Ash had her chicken pox vaccination today and not a single tear or whinge! I think she was so engrossed in watching the other people there that she didn't even realise it had happened then she happily went on to run around. Thank god now no more til 4 years old. I just have to ring family assistance place to ask bout the rebate and how I can get it.
Maz, hope you are getting some good news at the appts, thinking of you.
Belle - I am glad Julia is on the mend.
Maz - Wishing you all the best for Mat's appointment.
Ambz - Hang in there!
Kell - Glad your 2nd scan went well.
Caddie - are the girls all better now?
Laurin - How's Rylee now?
If anyone is interested in seeing pics of my sisters wedding, they are on my facebook. if anyone who doesn't have me on their facebook, pm me, and I will give you my details if you want them.
Just had a look Meg, really nice. I liked your bridesmaid dress too and the touch of those chinese umbrellas. I'm starting to realise costs of being a bridesmaid at moment, shoes, dress, air fares, accomodation, would've been easier if my friend was getting married here!
shell - can you let me know how you get on with Centrelink. Last time I spoke with them, they were reviewing us for the immunisation rebate, but that was over a month ago, and Nina had her 18 month needle 3 weeks ago.
What a bummer you have to fly to where the bride is. My bridesmaid had to fly up here from Brisbane, so I paid for her hair and make up, that way she didn't have so much to pay for.
meg - I'll have a look at your pics in a sec.
Meg - pm me with your facebook, don't think I have it.
Shell - Rylee hardly made a peep when she had her jab - I was really worried as I hate them.
Okay girls - did a pg test today - very very faint line - could it be???? My period was due two days ago - on Monday I had a bit of brown discharge (tmi) but only for the day.....what do you think?
Laurin xxx
OMG Laurin, I didn't realise you were TTC (how on earth do you do that when he's hardly even there ) but a huge CONGRATULATIONS to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A line is a line. Test again tomorrow morning and see if it's any darker.
ooh Laurin, its sounding pretty positive to me! I guess your Dh was there right at the right time! ;) Prolly faint cause its still in early stages, the d/c prolly implantation bleed? Retest tomor morn or next day and see. ooh how exciting, I didn't realise you were ttc.
Jodi, I called them up he said it should go inot bank account just after they turn 19 months, thats as long as they have your bank account details and that you are on the immunisation register.
Snap Jodi, we both said same thing to Laurin!
we were kinda TTC but with DH being away all the time weren't taking it all too seriously and at this stage I am not getting my hopes up - will test in a few days time.....if it is meant to be it will be.
ohh - It sounds positive to me too! I have everything crossed for you.
Sending you my Facebook details now.
The lucky thing about it being my sis's wedding is my dad paid!
Congratulations Laurin!! I think they say a line is a line? But thats great news!
Wow that sounds fab laurin! Fingers crossed for you!! Congrats.
Maz,how did today go matey.
Meg sent you a pm!
Girls are better.Millana still has a cough though. We off for two days R&R tommorow so will be awol!
Any news from Maz yet?
Laurin, that's great news honey!!! Are you going to test again in a few days?
Meg - Dammit, I deleted my facebook account!!! Oh well, I'm sure the photos are gorgeous.
Jodi and Shell - Yeah, you don't have to apply for the immunisation bonus, just as long as centrelink have bub's medicare details and has been immunised up to the 12 month ones. They do a check about 19 months old of the register and you should get paid around that time. If your hanging out for the $ though, you can call them and hassle for it - but it's a low priority payment I believe.
Belle - That's great that Julia's feeling better, Ambah's just getting better now too.
Laurin - Congratulations! They say if you can see it from an arms distance away it is really there.
Ambz - Have you tried a baby swing? I know that it isnt teaching her to self settle but at least you will have some time without her in your arms. Quite a few of my friends have them and swear by them. My Tiana was the same, silly me didnt buy a swing but I did have a baby bjorn sling which at least meant that I could move with her in front of me. Hope you get some sleep soon.
Maz - Its great that the first tests went well. Good luck with the next lot of drs.
To all that just had the chicken pox needle - they may get a reaction a few days later fever and slight rash. You prob already know but in case you dont (like I didnt) you wont worry that they are getting sick. Tianas went up to 39.
Ok, sorry to all I have missed cant remember without quick post. Going to hide some pureed vegies...
Happy Easter!!!
Thanks girls, I can only just just see at arms length, maybe I am imagining things, my cycle is all over the show and we would have had to have been incredibly lucky to have something happen while DH was home over the two weeks.....so I will wait until after Easter to test again....
Maz - hope everything went well today, it was probably a very draining day for you.
Hope everyone has a great Easter and gets to eats lots of Easter Eggs.....
Laurin xxx
Maz-That is great news that you are able to get the seat for Wilhelm. Do you get help with $ for the price of all of it? Hope that all went well with Mateauz. Have been thinking about you a lot lately. I dont know how you manage, you are being such a great mum to all of your kids. How is Nikolaus coping with everything? From what you have said before he sounds like a wise old soul, so I can only imagine he has been trying to help.
Laurin-Wow I have my fingers crossed for you. I have cycles that are all over the place aswell but I managed to fall preg at christmas time. It can take you by suprise. A line is a line, cant wait to hear the news from the test after easter.
Shell-Wow what a good girl Ash was.
Hope all of our preggy girls are doing well, aswell as our new mums (well 2nd or more time over).
Better go, I forgot I was boiling water, better go and checked that there is some left.LOL.
Love
I hope everyone is having a lovely Good Friday
Well everyone must be having a good good friday cause so quiet in here!
I haven't done all that much, took Ash to the playground, made cubby with blankets and chairs and Df spent the day in bed on major hangover.
I was very nice and donated some money to the good friday appeal.
So who in here eats fish for good friday? I do and not eat meat but Df is 'naughty' and eats meat. Guess it depends on your beliefs.
I don't eat meat today. I don't eat fish either (don't like it) but DH is a good Catholic boy, and he and J both had fish.
hi ladies!
hope you are all enjoying your easter weekend!
just quickly...
I went out and bought the Lullabub cot rocker from baby bunting. Cost me $250!
But i tell ya what.. it was money well spent!!!! Tiarna has been sleeping fantastic in it!!! First night on Thursday she slept from 10pm -2am then 3am till 8:30am then 9:30 am till 11:30am
Last night she slept 9pm-2:30am then 3:30am till 6:30am then 7:30am till 9:30am
its such an awesome invention!! Those that dont know what it is ..well its like four bowl sorta things that you place under each leg of the cot and they have a spring suspension in them and you plug it in and turn it on and it gently rocks the cot. you can even manually rock the cot yourself with just one finger. Its preset to thirty minutes and then turns itself off and it has 4 different rocking motions.
I originally saw it on Today tonight or A current affair.
Its such a relief on my back and my arms from rocking and tapping. :)
Better go get ready.. gotta do last minute easter egg shopping hehe
Take care ladies!
Love ambz
ps. thank you for your advice and kind words when i was so down
xoxoxox
Ambz,- even though its costly sounds like money well spent. Very worth getting some relief, plus after you've done having kids you'll prolly be able to resell it at a good price. You must be feeling alot better too getting some sleep. I'll have to keep it in mind for #2! Isn't it a great feeling when you work out something that works.
hi shell!
i was just searching posts on "lullabub" and came across a conversation you and maz were having when the girls were around 6 months old!! hehe
wow old posts really bring back memories. you were asking maz about the lullabub cause you were having trouble settling ruby.
it was definitely money well spent!! what would sometimes take hours trying to settle and resettle tiarna has turned into 20 minutes!
now to get her to like the pram..... loll
