My family is coming over for easter egg hunt so that should be fun and last night we went to BBQ at Df's parents and his family. Ash had a ball and a late night and now she is still asleep but I am wide awake! Always the way when she decides to sleep in.
I am guessing everyone else must be having a great weekend because of how quiet it is in here. All those gone away hope your having great time.
Happy Easter Everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not much happening in this neck of the woods, just making sure the kids dont overload on choccy:p
just had a visit from Belle, julia and jeffery, it was lovely to catch up with them and belle bought me a sneaky easter egg.
have a great day girls
Happy easter everyone!
We been away for the weekend. Ruby is still under the weather and hasnt been eating or drinking much at all. I dont know whats wrong. She just spits nearly everything out.Still has a bottle now and then to keep her going. If she not better by tues i think back to the dr's.
Believe it or not we actually had dinner on friday night with sara marie fedele's family from big brother. The whole clan was there and her mum made the best spread. They live next door(the mum) to my Good friend in margaret river. I was expecting a snob but she was very nice as was all her sisters. They tried to cheer up ruby when she was down.
Ambz thats great bout your rocker!!! Well done.
Chrissy how nice of belle to do that for you. A good in friend in deed you are belle!
oh wow Caddie, I love Sara marie she always appears really friendly and down to earth on everything I've seen her appear on. Poor Ruby, this has been prob for awile now does she still have the ulcers?
Chrissy glad you and Belle had a great time.

Caddie - I hope that Ruby gets better soon matie, poor little chicken adn I think you should put up a catalogue of what you make, especially with mothers day coming up soonish
Shell - I am so envious of you matie..you seem to get out and about alot and Ash loves it. I wish I could do that more.
Oh the chair was a big success...we got a red one which is his favourite colour at the moment..but we had to change th bunks around in the room...so Wilhelm wet the bed last night...thats his latest thing, wets the bed when things change for him...ah gotta give to get I suppose.

thanks a million girls for always being so positive..i really must sto being such a slack tart and get in here more often, even on line more
Hi all,
Just got back from an overnight camping trip. Was good. We had a great time!
Our 7 year old Goddaughter was there too. J just had a blast with her. Now I can see how much a second child learns off the first. Even overnight J learnt so much from her.
I feel like I have overindulged in Easter eggs though!
Ambz - I am glad that you have managed to settle her.
Caddie - Hope Ruby is better before Tuesday.
Chrissy & Belle - Glad you had a good time together.
Shell - How did the easter egg hunt go?
Laurin - Have you re tested again yet?
I hope everyone else has had a good Easter.
Nelle where are you? You are always such a regular poster. I hope you are well.
ETA Mz I must have missed your post yesterday. How did the appointment go for Mat? I am glad that you have the chair, and hopefully the bed wetting will ease off as he gets used to the new arrangement of the room
I'm around! Had the inlaws over this arvo after church, so twas busy chatting and drinking tea - then was VERY due for a nap when they left!! :D
Camping! That sounds cool Meg, and yeah kids do learn pretty quick from each other don't they!
Great about the chair Maz, they look so cool - I wish they made them for adults!! I'd just hide in there with a book - or better, my laptop and go on Bellybelly! :p
Hope Ruby picks up Caddie, no fun having unwell kids!
Chrissy and Belle, that's great that you guys got to catch up!
How did your easter egg hunt go Shell?
Did anyone use a Moses Basket for when their kids were newborn? We just had Riv lying on the floor on a rug/blanket, but it's occurring to me that a basket or something might be needed for #2 if Riv gets a bit too 'loving' or gets the cranks and plays naughty when he's tired...
Mum and I are headed to Baby Bunting and Target tomorrow, apart from church this morn, and the park, I haven't been 'out' in awhile, so nice to kick the cabin fever while Rans is home to child-supervise. I better not go into labour while shopping.
Can anyone else think of anything I'll need for #2 that I didn't need for #1? Or that I'll need 2 of? I know carseat, but til I find one I like (ie, on sale!), we can borrow mum's one, which is handy! Be my brain girls!! :p
Hope everyone's doing really well, and enjoying their Easter weekend with their families!! Have fun (and much patience and good luck) to those with kids about to start their school hols!!
Nelle hon - I used a vibrating baby rocker for Vy and now Mateauz uses it. Its one that converts into a rocking chair when they get older and also has a safety bar that stops it from rocking. Its nice and high so you dont bust your back and it stops Vy trying to get in but allows her to see mateauz. Its the fisher price brand one and I think their about $50. When mateauz gets cranky, I put the vibrate switch on and he loves it. I reccomend that. Yourve got slings so you'll be right for the other stuff. And oh books!!!! Vy and I read while I bf Mateauz so she isnt left out.
Meg - I posted inthe nappy forum and I didnt cut and paste...will do now and I am so jealous you got to go camping!!!! Jed and I miss it so much.
ok better get back to it
my post in the nappy thread
OK We waited 2 hours to see the hemotologist just for him to confirm that Mateauz suffers headaches/migraines...didnt want us to do the blood test to see if he has inherited a blood cloting thing from Jed and I. Moved onto the Nurologist who was absolutely fantastic. He didnt reacognise Mateauz at first and was so happy with his progress and how strong he is. Commented that my bb juice must be doing him wonders . He also likes the stripped IB and Melbel cover he had on..Mel he loved the moneky on the back hun . He also said that cloth nappies are gonig to help my little guy for the following
- he has a slight hernier in his belly button so the cloth nappies will help keep it in (when he screams his belly button pops out a good 1/2 inch)
- my little man doesnt have good hips. I asked the doc if mateauz is going to have trouble crawling and he said a firm yes. he also said that the cloth nappies will help with his muscles in that area. So using cloth has become another advantage for us.
Just a little depressed cause if Mateauz has trouble with his hips and crawling...Im worried sick to see what its going to be like to walk for him. Im also upset cause of the headaches my little man had been getting. I feel very useless for him ATM. Im his mummy and I feel like I cant help him with all this.
Hey Nessa Here!!! (stealing nats name again)
Just thought i would come in a say hi before i head of the the hospital tonight for my induction!!!! Bubs should be here by tuesday night.
Kell will let you know as soon as she knows anything.
Hope you all had a great easter.
Anyway still have to get ready
Luv Ness
Oooh how exciting Ness! Tomor night you'll be holding your gorgeous girl in your arms! Good luck with it all. hope its a nice quick labour.
Hey Maz! I hunted you down in the cloth nappy thread and replyed in there to you. I'm hoping with all this going on you are making sure you are looking after yourself too. Thats just as important.
Nelle and meg- egg hunt went great my nephew was so excited. Funny thing tho was he asked my sister "how come the easter bunny did all that at shell's house but not at my house". Lol. She did come up with a good answer.
Nelle- So not long til you pop with #2, hope you're having fun shopping, I'm going shopping with my mum tomor kid free (the pros of being with school teacher).
I was gonna suggest you might need another pair hands but don't know where you can buy them from, lol.
Meg- I can't say camping sounds like a fun idea, esp with a child! My idea of camping is to have at least a cabin with toilet and bathroom! Glad you had great time though. So did you set up easter eggs round the camp site for the kids?
Couple of Df's friends coming over today to watch footy, they're all Essendon supporters so we've tidied the house this morn looking all clean and nice.
Ness - will text you later...best of luck babe - hope its a quick labour for you!!! MAUW!
Shell - yes hon found your post..thanks babe but as Nell said thats it you have to use cloth nappies now ROFL. Im always looking after me *coughing with hand over mouth* Bull$hit..I take my multivitamins and eat well....to well cause ive put on weight again!! ahh the joys. Ive been sewing which is like my therapy and drinking heaps of water.
Oh the chair works a charm to girls. Im thinking of saving some tax money and getting one for VY for in her room. Good time out chairs. We had to change the boys room around abit so we could get a bit more privatcy for WIlhelm and Nikolaus (time away from each other) and its working wonders. Best thing I ever found for our man.
Im off to go outside and supervise my darling husband who is on our roof making a dutch gable....on slippery tiles cause we had about 1 mmm of rain oh and look at that..Vy has just taken off her $hitty nappy and is about to pass it to me...ahh
hope everyone had a great easter weekend!
maz i just want to say what an amazing women i think you are. i cant even put into words the respect and awe i have for you. I dont know how you stay so strong but your just fantastic. i wish the best for you and your family and send many prayers for your little man to grow up healthy and strong.
xoxoxox
my girls are sleeping...ahhhh savanna is gonna give trouble to sleep tonight if she sleeps after 4:30pm.... tia should be ready to wake up soon...im so tired but cant sleep cause i know as soon as i do she will wake up. hehe
take care ladies
luv ambz
Lol Maz, I remembered we have one of those chairs too! Behind bub's door! We used it heaps with Riv, but not in awhile. :p And we measured Moses baskets today and they're not much longer than Riv's birth length, so I don't think they'd be great value for money! So we'll go with the rocker with legs kicked out on the table to keep bub out of Riv's way if needed, AND we got a baby gate for bub's room too, so it can nap with the door open, but Riv can't violently rock the cradle (which is rickety enough as it is!).
Got a carseat on sale too. So...we're more set now. The books is a great idea, thanks!
Mmm Shell, my dad's a schoolteacher and it's great isn't it! I tell Rans if he ever changes jobs he has to teach, so he gets the holidays! My dad works looooong days though. And there's correcting too (and let's not get started on reports!) so perhaps it all evens out in the end.
Well very tired from shopping, so about to nap. And Rans is out getting me a slurpee bless him.
Hi to everyone else, hope you and your families are all doing brilliantly!
Good luck for tomorrow Ness. Looking forward to hearing the news of your new arrival.
Shell - Camping was not that difficult. J slept in a kiderkot inside our tent, so he was nice an snug. Also we had a portable toilet and portable shower. (not ours, another couple that we were camping with.) So all in all it was very easy. Also the weather was lovely so didn't have to worry about getting muddy etc.
Ambz - Hope you got a rest today.
maz - I am sure that every dr's visit for Mat will be daunting. Kids are awesome at finding ways around things. So I am sure that he will find another way around not being able to walk/crawl well.
Nelle - Enjoy your Slurpee.
J and I went to the park today. He spent hours running around. Straight to bed for him! :)
Goodluck tmmorow ness! Cant wait to hear the news!!!!
HI guys, that is sad that Mateauz is getting headaches Maz, but it is great to hear that the dr's say he is going really well.
Goodluck tomorrow Nessa.
We have been on holiday. Eithan fell over yesterday and got his top lip stuck between his two top fron teeth. It still hasnt come out, it doesnt seem to be bothering him but we are off to the dr tomorrow as the food and icypole tricks have not worked.
Hope you all had a great easter.
Love
Hi everyone hope you all had a good Easter.
Nessa - just want to wish you luck for tomorrow - thinking of you!
Chrissy - great to see ya mate!

Top lip between his teeth Helen? That's impressive! Honestly, the things kids can manage! Glad he's not bothered by it! :p
Meg, I'm so tempted by the Kinderkot, Rans HATES setting up the portacot with all its bits and pieces - how do you find it, what are the pros and cons?
Morning chickies! Just wanted to let you know what happened over night....
Nessa's lil monkey...

Congrats to Nessa!
Hi to everyone else. Sorry this will be a quick update on us, will be back later for personals.
Jett is 18mths old now, my god how time flies! He's so cute, heaps of fun now. His new fave toy is his blackboard/easel, he loves drawing with his crayons and painting. He's also OBSSESSED with cars and trucks - playing with them on the floor, watching them on TV, seeing them when we're out, all I hear is "Vroom vrooom vroooooom!" His eye teeth are finally through so all we're waiting on are his 2yo molars. He's speaking sentences more and more now, I love hearing "Mummy _______ please." I also love it when he calls for my attention, he always used to say Daddy more than Mummy heheheh He loves his 'brother Rippy' still - always trying to feed him bottles, put his dummy back in or read him books.
Ripley is doing great, he's like 7+kgs now  He has the biggest head youve ever seen lol Thankgod he didnt come out that way is all I can say. He's sleeping through the night now from about 10:30-11pm til 6-6:30am so most of my sanity has returned! He still has his moments of clinginess but he's getting better. He is such a smiley boy, he has the most beautiful grin and he isnt afraid to use it. Theyre like chalk and cheese my boys, in looks and personality. Its amazing how different they are even though theyre brothers. I cant wait til Ripley is around 7-8mths old and they can start playing together a bit.
As for TTC well for awhile there Ryan reneg'ed and said no to a #3. His mother even told him to get a vasectomy behind my back :wall: But he is thinking he would like another one now so we're still in talks on if/when it will happen. Im thinking we'll start trying in November (I so dont want another summer pregnancy, although not that it matters in Townsville lol) but if he does want another he wants to start trying in July so we can have a similar age gap again. So we'll see who wins.
The inlaws are gone YIIIIIIPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEE YEEHA THANKYOU LORD! I love them but 3 weeks was 2 weeks too long. They are going to miss the boys like crazy though, next time they see them Ripley will most like be over 12mths old.
Right shower time while Jett is still asleep and Ripley is snoozing in his swing. BBL.
:)
:confetti:Whoohooo Congratulations Nessa and family on the birth of Millana Jayde.:confetti:
CONGRATS NESS!!!
I wasn't expecting news so soon!
BBL gotta get ready meeting mum for bit shopping.
Congratulations Nessa and family on the safe arrival of your much awaited princess Millana Jayde. I hope you had a good labour and recover well.
Can't wait to see pics!
Oh congrats nessa and your family on the arrival of Millana Jayde!!! So excited to hear.Did she go natural overnight kell? Woohoo.
Nessa was induced last night.. given the gel etc. Contractions were really light then. She was only dilated 2-3cm at about 11pm last night. Then sometime after that contraction became really heavy and painful, waters broke and Millana was born 35 minutes later! No drugs, no tears. Adam only just made it by 5 minutes!
Congrats Nessa!!! Nice quick labour for you!!!
Ill have to go back and catch up on all the news, hope that everyone is ok?
Maz - How is Mr M?? and the rest of the clan.. been thinking of you hun and am sending you a huge kiss! I notice from your ticker that you are still BF well done!
Anyway, will try and get back for personals, but dont hold your breath! DH is at home today and he hates me using the computer!
xoxo

hope ya all had a great easter
Congrats NESSA!!!!!!!!! this is wonderful news!!!!
Congrats Ness for a quick Labour.
and congrats to the family in welcoming another little girl to love
quick question how many of you got the chciken pox vaccine for the kids and why???
I thought jack had a few this thursdya but its only chicken pox and I am not sure about it
I am going to wait until we return from London, so J won't be having his vaccines till May/June.
Just that i know sometimes they can be unsettled after for a couple of weeks, and the MCHN is doing the vaccines a few days before we leave. So I am going to wait.
NESSA a huge congrats
maz i hope your ok hun, sending you a big
yay, Nessa, Huge congratulations to you and your family and welcome to the world baby Millana.
Laurin x
CONGRATULATIONS NESSA HONEY
i CANT WAIT TO SEE PICS OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL NEW DAUGHTER mILLANA!!! OH HOW EXCITING!!!!
ah stupid capitals!!!
Chrissy - im cool hun...just dreading school holidays atm casue I cant really go out without all 4 of them and it drives me insane. Im hoping Jed wont be working this saturday cause then I can get to the post office :D I cant wait for you to get it.
Nelle - how you feeling chicken?? Ive been thinking about how sore you must be right about now.
Annie - hello dolly!! how the hell are ya chickie - were cool....cruising happy - pulling hair out but good!! hahahah
just on a little Woo HOO for us....cause Mateauz has Cerapal Palsy (I so cant spell - sorry Nelle) we are intitled to a careers allowance. we were also told to apply for the top up which is upto $10,000 so we did. We got a phone call on thrusday while we were in melbourne and thought I had forgotten something...nope - we got the full amount for our little man. So releaved about it cause it goes towards anything me needs in the future. we put $7,000 away straight away and paid some bills that we had put off and a huge phone bill that we had from me being in Melbourne with him. It has made our life so much easier again. We were starting to stress about what bill to pay first. I jsut had to share. I just cried and cried to the chick ont he phone when she rang me back this morning. oh and the first thing we bought him was a lamaz spin playmat so he can start getting his arms and legs moving
ok better go and change a stinky bum
Maz-That is just wonderful news. I bet it really helps, so glad that you were able to get it. That's a good idea that you have put some away. Hope that Jed has Saturday off so he can help you out.
Laurin-Cute new ticker pic.
Well things here are really hard. Cant post as it is unfair to air my problems as it has to do with more than just me. I think I need an msn night one night when DH is not home so I can chat. We are having some seperate time at the moment, not sure when he is getting home, I think at kids bedtime so he can help me get them to bed as I have a bad shoulder atm.
Eithan's lip, well the dr couldnt tell us if it was normal or not, but that it is nothing to worry about and to just let him be while he is happy.
Hope everyone is all well.
Love
 Helen. We are so totally here for you. Are you guys still living in that small place, no wonder you and Heath need some space if you are!
Maz that is just brilliant. Great news.
As for me, yeah feeling okay, actually lying on the bed with a slurpee and tiny BH's at the moment. Taking advantage of Riv being asleep.
Already congratulated Ness, we were in 3 regular threads together! :p I think she was stalking me...haha.
Thanks Nelle, can those BH be developing into anything? mmmmm
Love
Ah well they're taking their sweet time if they are. They're gone for now. They're almost not even annoying, just a vague sort of tightening...doubt they mean anything.
Never mind, it'll happen when it happens, and until then, I'll continue to remember things I should have done weeks ago! (like pre-make meals for when bub comes! Mum and Dad are coming for dinner and bringing vegies from their garden so I can make soup and risotto to freeze. :p)
