Gracie, I sooo hear you on DHs not being self-directed with the baby care. My DH is now very good but I think I nearly went insane in the first couple of years of DD1s life, repeating "Show some initiative!!!" The best cure for this is to create some time (an hour here or there) where you leave bub with DH and then leave the house altogether (having issued only minimal instructions ). Then talk about what has happened/been done while you were out, afterwards. Bit hard when your DH is working such long hours, but even just a little bit here and there might help!
Arte, I was ROFL about the wrong birthday! That's just hilarious. I hear some pretty sensational people were born on the 7th of September . My hard dates to remember is what year to write for DH and DD on the forms, same date I just have to remember to write the right year!
Leanne, LOL glad the drought has well and truly broken! Go you merry team of pooers! I really don't know about the whole black tie thing, that's a bit out of my sphere of experience I"m afraid. I saw some photos of Penny Wong (Govt spokesperson) at the Press Gallery Ball at Parliament House in the Sunday paper and she looked like she was wearing a japanese silk jacket thing (it looked like something you could wear pants with) so I guess if she can, you can!
I'm a complete disorganised clutz this morning. Just had a phone call from the osteopath saying "Are you late?" OMG I happily dropped E off at FDC this morning and forgot completely!!! AAAAARGH! Better go an organise myself I think.
K is a bit better today I think. Not much coughing. Did have a very early start to the day - woke at 5:20 and no matter what I tried she did not want to go back to sleep. At least she had a 2.25 hour nap so ended up back on track for the day. Stupid me didn't go back to bed though!
Gracie - can you just tell DH what to do, in a nice way ie 'I'll go and get the nappy bag and put the pram in the car, can you change his top'. Then after that for a little while he might start thinking for himself. Maybe - he is a man though!
lewis isn't feeling well, he's got a fever and he's all down and out. he doesn't want to eat and he's all whingey. poor little man

cally- i do do what you say but i get so sick of having to spell everything out for him. i get sick of the sound of my own voice, i feel like such a school teacher. i wish he could just think for himself iykwim?
md- i've only ever left the 2 of them alone once and i'm not game to do so again. i came back and they were both asleep on the couch together, all the lights in the house on, tv blaring, both wearing the same clothes they'd worn all day. nightmare.

just thought i'd let you know, i ended up buying the dermadoctor eye cream (pregpan you might be interested in this too- cosmetics junkie!) and it is fantastic. i can see a difference already. very exxy though

i am here - have just been busy busy busy so naughtily reading and not posting... but now i need to ask about the eye cream!!! ha ha!! how muich and what difference can you see? i have to say i havent been such a junkie l;ately - but may just need to treat myself soon LOL!
oh i hacve had a hectic few days - dont know where to start. i am having foot probs, v painful - turns out i have a heel spur and also my foot is 'sollapsing' ouchy! so this leads to all the back/neck pain i have had as well as the acute foot pain. anyway am getting it dealt with so in a few weeks should see an improvement. also you have prob seen my other post about the monitor - had a scary few days when N's breathing monitor kept going off - awful awful - anyway took him to dr and noithing wrongw ith his lungs or anything - so they think just false alarms... hmmm... lots of sleepless nights!
Sorry no time for more personals - busy at work and travelling to melbs tomorrow so better get back to it. will try to write more later in the week.

it's called dermadoctor wrinkle revenge and it cost $145. very exxy but so good! the whole area around my eyes looks heaps smoother. i was looking pretty haggard after 8 months of no sleep but it's evened out the colour and tone.
i'll let you know if there's any improvement in a month or so- that's the real test.
your foot sounds very ouchie, hope it gets sorted soon.

Gracie, I thought I was looking a bit worse for wear after months of broken sleep, but when I went for the horse trek a few weeks ago the girl asked if I was still at school LOL. I sat there with my mouth gaping open and didn't know what to say, the best I could manage was 'but I'm old!' LMAO
Agnes, are you there. I saw your post about W being sick. Hope that it passes quickly. There seems to be a lot going around this year, but maybe it is just because we have bubs now that catch everything. Did you get your car fixed up?

Leanne, that is what you get when you pray for poo LOL! I can't help with the dress problem, I am hopeless at that type of thing. Black pants would be o.k if you have a nice dressy top to go with them. Usually I go with black skirt and nice top, then I am covered for all possibilities.
Pregpan, ouchie for your foot! Hope you get it sorted quickly.
Renee, if you are still on the lookout for toys for Rory then I recommend a ball pool. DH got it at Kmart, it is a small inflatable pool with a heap of plastic balls in it. W loves it. The other thing he likes at the moment is his bead maze.
Hayley, DH was walking past the computer the other day when I was looking at FB pics of Maddie and he said 'that is an o.k looking kid' which coming from him is actually a really big compliment!
MD, have you had the sleep over yet?
Well, I don't think it will be long before W is walking consistently. I can put him on his feet and let him go and he just toddles over to whatever he wants to go play with. It is amazing how quickly it all happens.
