Hi everyone
thought I should jump on and say hello. Way to much to catch up on again.
Logan is walking now, so keeping me on my toes. We have had a shocking week sleep wise but I am hoping it is just a big developmental stage (especially with the walking) or teeth. He has had a cold over the last two weeks too so thats could be it, who knows lol. I cant wait for the day when he can tell me whats wrong.
I had better run Logan has just woken up and we are off to do some more painting.
I hope your all doing well.

Those that have walkers - how long was it from those first couple of steps by themselves to when they were doing it regularly? K has been taking steps by herself for 2 weeks, but needs a lot of encouragement to do it (or be absorbed in what she's doing and not realise she has let go). Just wondering when she will start doing it more often?
Fianne - she woke the moment I pressed the 'submit reply' button lol!
Well its only 16more sleeps till Olivia's 1st Birthday....OMG my baby will be 1.... She has 3 teeth now but the others are really really close. not walking yet but it wont to long I dont think. She can now say Grandad, ganny( for granny), ta, hello, dadda, mum and yay ya (thats Xavier) I think she knows that name cause I am yelling it all the time. lol. She really is growing up fast.
The boys are good well that is as good as a 3 year old can be...lol.... (definatly not terrible 2's girls its terrible 3's) DH gets the snip on tuesday 19th and Xavier gets his next lot of grommets on the 26th.
Gee today has gone so quick I have to go and get the kids from daycare.
Sorry for no personals but I promise to catch up later.
it's been an age since i have posted!! or at least feels like it! i have been leading a rather mundane existence this past week and couldn't bear boring you all with the details! LOL!
i mean seriously, the highlight (or lowlight in Leila's opinion) was her biting her tongue for the first time. she totally cracked it. i have to say that i saw it coming...she was standing holding onto the jungle gym at kindy with her tongue hanging out (her usual mode) and fell down...oh the tears (and blood!!). pretty gross.
other than that nada! had a haircut...first in over a year...ummm yup. that does it!
Leanne: OMG that birthday is getting close!! i just attempted to bake a cake to practise for the BIG day and OMG it was ROTTEN!! didnt rise and didnt cook. made DH eat a piece though and now we are feeling really gross and yuk...might have to store buy it!!
Noni: sorry that you're so tired. it sucks butt! i have been finding myself getting really zonked when DH is away for those 2 days a week. i can't imagine how the girls on here cope with DHs away for long periods of time!
yeah i second Arte, get the iron checked out. after i had glandular fever when i was 18 i was really tired for about a year, went to doc got a blood test and turns out that my red blood cells are half the size they should be and can't carry enough oxygen to bind the iron. so have been on supplements ever since...ITH.
Oz: oh wowsers! all these walkers! i bet they must go ssooo fast!!
Cally: we too have an early riser. to stem the tiredness flow though we bring her into our bed where it is still a bit dark and she has a feed and quite time with mum and dad. for the most part she stays with us say 20-30 mins then we put her back to bed for say another hour or so. i find that when she is in with us i dont get so tired as when i get fully up to feed her IYKWIM? but yeah, wishing she could stretch it out a little bit!! ahh what i wouldn't give for a 7 to 7 sleeper!!
Arte: up until i was about 2.5 i thought horses were sheep! so i understand dear W!!
Fianne: we dont do much nappy free time ATM mostly due to the cold and yeah, the mobility issues!! so cannae be of assistance i'm afraid!
Sherie: oohh i have this feeling that L and A would get on a scream together! the cute cheekiness factor is blaring!! love the 'outside' stint! ATM leila's game du jour is the push trolley. she just laughs and laughs then hits the wall with the trolley and falls to the floor in anguish because she hasn't learnt how to turn it, then, the moment you turn it around (or at least partly, she off laughing hysterically again - with the tongue hanging out of course!).
anyway, i guess i had best be off DH has started camping beside me reading his book so i know that i have been awhile....chat soon!
hello everyone, just sitting here drinking a hot chocolate and watching 'so you think you can dance' and thought i'd pop on for an update.
katie- wow!!! on the walker
hayley- how's maddie's bronchitis? is she doing better? oh and btw, you are not the worst mum in the world, you are awesome
sherie- i think catalogue should be nationwide. they usually pop it in the sunday newspaper if you get that or i think last time it was online too. jaz found it first last time!
arte- the 'try hard, worst name ever' is scarlett. he refuses to name the baby after a coulour or flower. he also refused to give our dog a person's name. pity he is not the idiot at the park everyday who has to call out 'spooky'....that would be me.
well quick update....last night dp rang his mother in sydney to tell her we are pg and she already knew! she acted like she didn't but it was sooooo obvious. it was the fakest reaction ever and she didn't even stop the conversation to tell dp's dad. it was clear they both already knew. quite disappointing actually.
the only people we had told from their end was dp's brother and his gf. not happy.
i think we have a 90% definite girl's name i'm pretty happy with it. it's quite common but i don't know anyone personally with the name. i'm going to keep a lid on it so you all get a bit of a surprise next year, but i think it's a keeper. dp actually likes it! shock, horror!!!
Trill, thanks I'd love to see the cake page. Not sure if I'm fully up to attempting it but I can have a look and decide then. Re your screen door, you could just get a baby gate and set it in the door frame - then the screen can bang all it likes and he won't be able to get out unless you open the gate.
Noni, I was wondering the same thing, Elisabeth eats a lot more than Asha by the sounds of it, but you've got to remember they are little growing bodies. If you're worried, maybe have a chat to your MCHN and get her weighed and length measured on a regular basis. TBH I think she looks fine in your photos and I'm sure the MCHN will say the same thing.
Rainy, LOL @ Spooky! However I shouldn't really because Boston gets called "Fluffy" a lot (short for Fluffychops of course) and really that aint a respectable dawg name at all! Glad you've found your girl's name, I'm waiting in a state of suspense already. (PS mouth is drooling at the thought of hot choc).
Fianne, have you tried canesten and sigmacort cream together on the nappy rash? If it still persists after using them for a few days, it's worth taking her to the drs. I think it was Noni who was having nappy rash troubles and it turned out it needed a script (was it Antibiotics, Noni?)
Clare, *snap* on the walker angst when it hits that wall! Elisabeth hoots around at full speed but gets nearly hysterical when the darn thing stops because it's pushed up against something. Then, after a few laps of the family room, she starts anticipating the pain of it stopping, and starts crying a foot or two BEFORE she even hits the wall. PMSL! We're going to try to capture some of this classic action on the camcorder this weekend.
Well maybe I haven't been talking to Elisabeth quite enough after reading the 'how much is your baby talking' thread?! I can't remember DD1 having too many words at the same age, though...
Katie, hope the sleeping was just shortlived and you're about to get a week of blissful slumber to compensate! I'm not sure you really ARE looking forward to the day when L can tell you what's wrong, they go through a very long stage of insisting only one particular thing (staying on the swing, having a biscuit, not going to bed etc) is what can fix it (toddlerhood LOL).
See this is why I really should post every day. Otherwise they turn into mega posts.
Cally - Wow at WW duck cake with chips AND popcorn! My mind has boggled and I find myself unable to picture it LOL. I KWYM about accident prone, E is sporting a lovely bruise on one cheek and a big scratch on the other. No significant blood to this point though.
Arte, that's hilarious how Will was using Neigh for the Baalamb! They do that, when they're first talking, they pick the word they have that's closest (in their head) to the thing they're talking about. That's why both Puss and Boston are Doh-dohs at our house. When you think about it, he was pretty close, they both have four legs, are big and live in a paddock eating grass.
Noni, I agree with everyone else, maybe it's iron or it could even be thyroid. I reckon you should have a chat to your lovely GP about it. You want to be firing on all cylinders when A's birthday rolls around!
Fianne, when she points, model the word for her, "You want your bottle? Have a drink of water from your bottle" etc. And lots of praise and attention when she does say a word. It's only a worry when they are (much) bigger and still pointing and grunting. Usually though they learn that the correct word is more efficient than pointing. Right now pointing is a good tool for getting mummy to say the word so I can learn what it means!!
Ahh, too late for me, better get myself to bed! Have a lovely weekend everyone. xxx
OMG we dropped off the first page of threads for the first time ever LOL.
I decided to give Alister some dinner last night as we were eating dinner, and guess what? NO WAKE UPS! Well we had one, but he was freezing cold the poor little fella and he went right back to sleep once I covered him up. So I'm very excited that he wasn't up with belly pains at all. I can start giving him three meals again now.
