    Hi Girls!

Cally: awwww that is so true! you're making me all emotional! they are just a delight at this stage. and it is really fun and lovey gushy watching them grow and become their own people. i even love witnessing the stubborn tantrum moments! LOL! i am sure that will wear off in no time!

Pregpan: good luck with the herbalist! wow, one step closer to TTC! what an exciting time!
ooohh Bali! on a day like today, it is sooo needed! august in canberra is the pits!

Noni: i am so jealous! (not of the housework! LOL!). but is nice being able to do stuff without a bub underfoot. make sure you make time to watch super nanny and oprah though! LOL!

AFM: well DH is back! YAY! and of course Leila decided to be healthy bouncy and laughing! so i look like the big fat liar when i told him that she has been screaming for 3 days...oh well, just stoked that she seems to be getting better.
my girl is almost 1. i cannot believe it. in my mind she is still that tiny 2.7 kilo bundle that we brought home from the hospital. this time last year i was as big as a house...thinking that i still had 4 weeks before she would be born...hah!

Cally - Awww go K, clever girl! Your parents will be so pleased. I know what you mean about falling in love with her even more. Every new little thing Maddie does makes me all emotional lol.

Pregpan - She's on the mend, thanks for asking! How is Noah going with the crawling?

Clare - I know the time has flown. They grow way too fast dont they?

Noni - Just spent all morning cleaning here. I feel like I am forever cleaning!! Now that M is on the move I am picking up after her even more, she throws around cd's, books, dvds and the other day found a candle and rubbed it all over the tv cabinet. All you can do is laugh! I need a new vaccum cleaner too, desperately.

Maddie has taken to standing in her cot, saying mum mum mum when she has woken. It makes me melt!

MM that is soooo cute! N is getting better at the crawling though it is still v commando or more of a shuffle along and he does not go far! he will get there... and from all the work that a crawler entails i am now in no rush for it to happen LOL!
I made some potato and mince croquettes for him - they are quite delicious and going down v well with him - v basic... so here is the recipe if anyone wants it.
    boil 4 potatoes and mash
mix in about 400g mince meat, some chopped parsley and an egg
roll into small balls and roll them in bread crumbs
pat onto a tray (flatten slightly ) covered in oilve oil and bake at 180 for about 30 mins, then turn and bake another about 10 mins til golden.
YUMMO - i ate a heap of them too!!!

you could prob mix other thinsg in like cheese (i dont eat cheese w meat so i didnt) or paprika or onion too...

    hi there girls!

a bit of a rant and need advice!!

ok...soooo, i go to kindy to feed leila and as i arrive there is a little boy leaving to go to the drs...

one other baby is sitting on the carers lap and screaming...and has suspicious sores around his mouth and on his feet...(guess where this is heading!)

then there is another bub lying in his cot wailing in pain...also with 'things in his mouth' (quoting here).

turns out that there is foot and mouth disease going rampant through the baby room...hmmm, shouldnt the sick bubbas be going home???? i mean, highly contagious disease meets communal toys????

i'm not sure what to do? should i take her home and bring her back next week when (hopefully) it has gone? or am i just being paranoid?
and what do you do to treat F&M? these bubs are miserable! arghhhh....

    sorry for the selfish post!

Pregpan: ha ha that is soo funny! i made something similar the other day and L was also really really into it!

MM: that's another 'awww' moment! L just says mummmummumm when she is hungry...ho hum. one day! LOL!
IKWYM about the cleaning. we have definite trails of destruction in our house. we couldn't lose leila if we tried as we would just have to follow the path of strewn objects... she has a thing for clocks. go figure.

anyway best dash and attempt to pretend that i am working!

clare - i would take her home if you can.... yuk!!! it is really bad that the sick bubbas are there - it annoys me that they dont call the parents straight away - otherwise everyone ends up sick. though to be honest i would think HFM is prob contagious before the welts appear??? i hope L is OK - i would be unimpressed. did you say anything to them?? yest when i picked up N the other baby that fdc looks after had gone home... with suspected tonsilitis.. (he had it before) - well this morning he is back.. and DH said he didnt look so well.. there is no way that he had been to the dr.... hmmm. when N is even slightly sick i pick him up straight away and he stays home til he is better - not easy for me but better for the other babies and MUCH better for poor sick bubba...
ha ha it turned into MY rant!!
i reckonthe crouquettes would be good with other veg as well - parsnip and/or sweet pot.

    hello everyone

re Ange: she is on a family holiday in qld with lu and dh, sunbaking right now no doubt!

clare- please ring the council and rspca about the dog. someone else may have complained as well, so the more complaints the better. it really needs to be sorted out as that poor creature may end up attacking a child

pregpan- yah about herbalist- please come and join us in the preggo club!!! makes me feel like i'm not so crazy for having them so close.

all you girls and your travel plans are making me jealous. it is pouring here.

i had mothers group here and only 2 came. i made dp clean both toilets and no-one even used them!! oh well

i had no sleep at all on tuesday night. after having my u/s and announcing my pg on here 'officially' and everything- i woke up in the middle of the night and was bleeding. i absolutely freaked out that i was having a miscarriage. i never ever bled at all with lewis. i was sooo upset and just couldn't understand what was happening. i lay there awake for hours so upset..
anyway nothing else happened. on wednesday i did heaps of reading and apparantley 1 in 3 women have spotting during pg and it's no big deal. apparantley 99% of m/c occur in the first 12 weeks and i'm 13 weeks so i think i'm ok. it was just so scarey
i watched the news and saw that poor orphaned whale and just bawled and bawled. i think i just needed to let it all out..

eta- clare omg!!!! i would get her out of there quicksmart. can you get out of work and take her home?

G, when I was 12wks pg with Erin, I had a pretty significant bleed - so much so I had to put a pad on and I was terrified I was losing her. Luckily I had the NT scan the following week (first and only time I ever had it done - divine intervention there I think) and all turned out to be fine, and there was a small blemish on the placenta where it had bled from. So scary as it is, I'm sure the little one is fine in there.
