    Hi there girls!

kate: well i finally bought some toothbrushes! (YAY!). i bought the pigeon 3 pack...looks pretty spesh! cant wait to see her using them! at the orthodontist she was forever stealing the brushes off the counter, so no doubt she wont have any probs using them!
ha ha about the clothing sizes! Leila still has some 000 too! it seems so ridiculous, so i rarely admit it! but it's true. i think she has only just gone over the 8 kilo mark by now...have no idea really as we havent had her weighed since she was 8 months and then she was 6.9kgs.

Andie: Leila has also been going through some wee separation moments. funnily enough it's when we are around the house. she goes to kindy 2 days a week and doesnt bat an eyelid, but when we are at home, she wants us in sight! unless of course she is too busy bashing her rattles on the table legs...

i saw the hylands tablets but they looked pretty hardcore to me. i am not great with measuring stuff (i get DH to measure out the panadol LOL!). i guess if the teething gets shocking i'll go the next step. fingers crossed it's smooth sailing pffffttt! LOL!

G: oh i know about the fire place! we have an open gas heater thingy on the wall and we have been meaning to go and buy a fireguard...oops! luckily leila is not at all interested in it, i just worry that during her playing she'll fall on it or something.
you may not be able to buy CR BUT....remember our good friend metalicus!!!!! i bought and wore that stuff constantly when preggers (and still do!). they have some gorgeous dresses out ATM....

hi Cinta! and welcome! of course you can ask questions! we ask many all the time! LOL!
like the others have said you may get more info if you post a general thread in the baby and toddler section about the strawberry marks...afraid i can't help on that one...

MD: oh yeah baby! i have soooo bought Leila her party outfit!! i didnt think i would do it, but, i bought a ridiculous bright orange, pink and red tutu!! oh and she will soo be wearing the fairy wings that i bought when you and i went shopping in that store in manuka!!!!! i LOVE that store! wish it had of been there when i lived there!
that sprout store is so good. i could never resist going in there when we did our groceries at supabarn...oh them were the days! i cant believe i am nostalgic. what is wrong with me???

Arte: OMG that W is so gorgeous! man he is really speaking! what a gorgeous thing! you guys must be so proud!

hey there i just wanted to jump in and quickly say that anyone having trouble getting bubs to sleep should try a sleep cd!! i bought a lullaby cd for asha made by fisher price for ten bucks from target the other day and its made a huge difference for us.. we are three days into using it and i have managed to get her to sleep all three nights in her bed (previously we would let her fall asleep in the bouncer and carefully put her in bed).. i stay next to her as long as she is laying down quietly, if shes naughty and getting up i leave for 5 minutes and come back and the second time ten minutes and come back but as long as shes laying and beeing good i stay next to her.. the first night i went out of the room twice and she went to sleep by the 6th song on the cd, the second night i only went out once and she was asleep by the 4th song on the cd.. drum roll please!!! tonight i didnt have to leave the room at all and she was asleep halfway through the 2ND SONG!!!!
she is still waking up and coming to bed with us but i dont mind as long as she sleeps a few hours in her cot atleast (atm shes doing 5-7 hours in her cot).. i am so excited we might be able to try and move her back to her own room in a few weeks if it keeps going well!!!
hope everyones doing well be back tmw for some personals..

we dont have probs putting L to sleep for the night but for the last 3 weeks she has been waking up in the early hours (1-3am) and refusing to go back to sleep without a feed grrrr! i am with you on the feed to sleep! it's my own fault, but doesnt make the reality any easier.

Noni: oohh i think i need that cd for the middle of the night rampages!

we used the hylands teeting tabs on alex .. & do you think a chemist wld have them around here! had to get the name from someone in QLD & get a chemist to especially order them.

yeah alex didn't like the panadol either. dymadon worked a treat with taste! now they usually have jadin's chemist own brand (when I have it in stock).

jack's not too bad going to sleep .. only if you try & put alex down with jack awake then its all on for jack. we, sorry, I have little probs with jack going down. just keeping him asleep during the night. decided last nite its time for him to start finding his dummy on his own at midnite instead of getting mum up every hour to hour & a half!

Cass -those hylands tablets are fantastic. They are omeopathic and I have heard so many people swear by them. They can be used in conjunction with anything else and just dissolve in bubs mouth. S justs pops them in and they dissolve away. My sister used to rub them on the gums but S just chomps on my finger instead. And yep, S is only about 8.5kg, getting her weighed again this thursday so will update you then. My nephew is 6.5months and outweighed her from about 5 months of age. He is such a buddha butt lol.
So true about Bones and Booth being modern day Mulder and Scully. Although I think the gender has swapped a bit as I see Bones being more the Mulder type person. I love this show but am having a hard time trying to keep my eyes open. Know where I can download episodes from...?

PP - don't stress...just visualise Bali, breathe in deeply and remember that we are all as jealous as hell!!! Hope you get everything ready in time and the herbalist gets you on track.

Noni - nice work...what was the cd called. I got her the celtic lullabies but for some strange reason its in the car (not being played). Might get that out tomorrow I've got my fingers crossed for you with that miracle cd!

I NEED HELP....PLEASE READ AND HELP ASAP!!!

Which Wheely Bug should I get Sarah?

I really like the ladybug one but think the mouse is super cute as well. I have a bit of a fascination with ladybugs but don't want to rub that off onto S...

ha ha ha Kate you crack me up!!
I love them both - ok i love them all!! i think my fave is the mouse if it is for a girl..
do it!! gr8 toys on sale but i think sold out of mouse..
btw i ended up getting my nephew the bee... i thought the ears of the tiger may get dirty
now i need to choose one for N - i am thinking either ladybug (is that too girly), cow or bee

I agree the tigers ears would get too dirty,v.cute tho
I love them all but would have a hard time justifing that, I found them on ebay for $85 each with cheapish postage. Works out cheaper than gr8 toys, unless I end up buying heaps of other things from there. hehe

I think you should get N the cow, that way he can play with his cousins bee as well. Unless you would prefer to get the same to avoid fights...*shrugs* Decisions, decisions, decisions! Why are all of lifes biggest questions so hard to answer? I would rather be asked the meaning of life over which wheely bug should I get!

Ah damn, still can't decide which one....rock off time...one...two...three...*****...hard to fool yourself! I keep knowing what I'm going to choose. Maybe I'll try to thumb wrestle myself for an answer... one, two, three, four...I declare a thumb war...argh..nope ambidexterious (sp?) here.

Okay, so I've just re-read my post and think that I need to get some sleep soon.

Maybe I'll just get DH to choose...

    Hey!
    Thanks for the welcome.
hmmm, yeah my daughter has a strawberry birthmark just under left arm on her side, which appeared after birth. I've always been paranoid about it coz every time you pick her up it gets pulled etc. anyhoo, i took her to the GP coz it has a dry piece of skin on it which turned into a sore and he told me that it has turned into a benign tumour. I'm just not sure whether it's something that should be extremely worrying or not, i'm guessing it will probably have to be removed...I don't know many other mothers, so yeh...sorry to blabber on.

Oh, and with ur little bubbies sleeping through, i'm not sure if this will help, but i tried getting my bub to have a pretty decent dinner and a bottle so she wouldn't be hungry. At this point she would only wake up at about 1-2 am for a bottle, but as she ate more for dinner she sleeps through the night. And getting her to sleep, i used the the 5 minute, rub back reaasure method. It almost kills u coz u feel so bad when they cry, but now she's learnt how to put herself to sleep. it's great! 8pm til 8am!

    ermm...what's a bug?

Cinta - you gotta check these out. Search in google or ebay for wheely bug. So cute...little bit expensive but adorable.
Have you popped a thread in the childrens medical conditions section on bb yet? I'm sure that there will be plenty of ladies (and gents) that could help you out with answers. Did the dr tell you what to do about it?
As for the sleeping...I am so jealous. I've tried feeding S up with solids as well as a comp formula feed but she has still been stirring a coupla times a night. I get away with being able to pop her dummy in and pat her for a min or two but occasionally she will stay awake and need cuddles and yep, worse case scenario she needs a feed to settle her. I think the feed is just for my piece of mind because I know that she will go straight to sleep after a feed so I get to go back to bed.

LOL! Kate! you are so funny!! hmmm, if i were to get another (i have the ladybug bug) i would go the mouse...too cute!

Cinta: oh that does sound pretty intense for your girl. i have heard of sores going strange and the superficial cells changing. what are the drs going to do about it? is she going to have some bloods taken or a biopsy? a friend recently had this happen (a sore that got infected and cells went funny). and they made her wait a couple of weeks then they retested and it had gone back to normal. maybe call your local parentline/MACH line...they are a font of information and are generally 24 hours. i ring them at all hours with a bizillion questions LOL!

    PP: oohhh Bali..............

    Hey,

Thanks, i only just signed up here today, still yet to check it out some more.
I found that my bub just needed to get used to putting themselves back to sleep. I tried to learn to differenciate between her cries, so if she didn't sound hungry or distressed, i didnt go to her, i did stay awake and listen tho! she always just went back to sleep. I think i've just been blessed with a wonderful child! hehe, i found when she had her dummy she woke up more looking for it, but she just decided one day that she didnt want it, so that helped alot, but then i didn't have anything to comfort her. Maybe try weaning her off her dummy at night time if you find she loses it and wakes up to find it missing?

Good idea Cinta, she doesn't use it normally thru the day its just for sleeps. She can fall asleep in the car without one, I might try that. Dunno why I didn't think of that...must be because you get a good nights sleep tehehe. That being said and I'm still on the computer when I should be sleeping when she does. I just can't seem to be able to turn my mind off sometimes, so have to do things as I remember them. Currently have 4 screens up doing different things on each...
You sound like you have this mothers thing down pat. Nice work

Cinta we did the same thing (rub back after 5 mins thing) after going to a residential sleep school and same thing here, she now sleeps all night - bar the occasional get-up for boobie. I couldn't have imagined she'd be sleeping so well three months ago when we were going INSANE! LOL

Kate, I have a weird ladybird thing too. They're just such perfect little insects and such a nice shade of red! So cute!

Noni it must work cos when I was at QE2 the nurses had this Enya CD that they played over and over in the nursery, they had it really quite loud it seemed. Glad this is working, I hope it continues to get better and better for you.

Clare, OMG I want a photo of Leila in her party tutu! LOL Style, baby!!

Rainy, there is a layer of 'exec' teachers just below the headmaster, it's like a group of deputy principals. This one works particularly with restorative practice and the more I think about it they wouldn't have a dedicated staff member unless there was an entrenched problem in the school. PMSL about IgglePiggle aqua wondersuits. I had lots of those with DD1 and in the end I hated that colour so much I gave them all away.

ETA - yeah Pregpan, send us a postcard!!
