Nice work N! I was surprised at how much it helped S being 'bottom'less. Only probably is the colder weather, gotta do it for shorter bursts when it's not quite as warm.
I've tried S on the patting thing but she screams blue murder, I think they are slowing in frequency. She was doing it every few nights to start off with (4 months ago, coincidentally or not when solids started) and is now down to once a week or so. They've also reduced in time, was 3 hours now 2 hours. So maybe in 4 more months we'll be down to 60mins  haha
I've gotta get me a nipple ball, hadn't even thought of it to be honest. Heading into town tomorrow so will see what I find.
Hi to everyone else, sorry for no personals. I'm slack at the best of times but be aware that when I read your posts, I am thinking of you and responding to you in my head ;)
Hope everyone is well and in for a great night

Hi Girls!
I feel as though i have been MIA as the computer was playing up and not turning on...freakin' me out man! LOL!
Pregpan: Woo hoo on N trying out the sweet zzzz's the last few nights! good boy! and yeah, i know it's easier said than done, but the crawling thing is probably no big deal. my friend's bub never crawled. she bum shuffled until she was 15 months and then whammo! got up and ran.
starting to feel better...but don't want to jinx myself. dr is not convinced that we have caught the bug...ggrrrrr.
i hope that you get better soon! or at least can find some time for rest and recuperation. with work on top of everything it's pretty yuk.
Kate: i can only imagine the 2 hour nightmare! Leila the last 2 nights has been waking at 3 am and has taken close to an hour to settle (i try not to feed her, but my bad, i give in in the end....oh the vicious circle that i create!lol!). I too think it may be related to toofies. it looks as though L is getting one of her top teeth, but it is taking an extraordinary amount of time. and IKWYM about the draining part! when L started sleeping through it was so awesome, so now when she has the occasional wake-up, even if for only a quick feed, it totally smashes us!
Noni: yay the sleep! must be feeling like a new woman! LOL!
oh the joys of a twin tub! they are pretty old fashioned...basically it has two sides (hence the twin) one side is the washing part and the other is the spinner. so you have to haul all washing out from one side to the other. right royal PIA. but worked in Fiji when on more than one occasion we had no running water as you can manually fill them up easily and they dont use much water.
Sherie: yes, hunting for shanks is as manly macho as my DH can get! he was very disappointed when he couldn't get them, as was i as he came back with silverside....
i think the jabs are working. i still have the infection, but at least the pain is subsiding. my final one is tomorrow and then he will check it out a day after...fingers-crossed that all is well!
and you def had an 'awwww' moment! that must have been so cute/satisfying/tugging at the ol' heart strings seeing the little champ tuckered out on your nightie! it gives me all the awww cootchy-coo vibes!
Cally: i hear ya sista. L only slept 30 minutes in total today...was out the whole day and for one reason or another she just didnt sleep. no doubt tonight will be a shocker!
ahh the lovely sound of a cat hacking their guts up...he he he!
AFM: well, i am hoping to be saying goodbye to tonsilitis! i have my last jab tomorrow (which is lucky as there is not much room left to jab!!). still sore but nothing on last week.
also had my braces tightened today (forgot about that one until the last minute). leila behaved well though.
Leila got a pressie today from a friend of mine and she just loves it! it's one of those tin spinning top things. she is just loving it! has no idea how to use it, but it doesn't stop her trying to do what i do to it!
are the other bubs going through a really intense mimickry stage? L is copying everything i do ATM. it's really weird to be under observation!
anyway best dash and sending out lots of sleepy vibes to the bubs tonight!:)
-
another reasonable night here! we did co - sleep all night because id had netball training and her routine was all thrown out n she was a bit sooky but she actually slept really well for her!! still feeling tired tho, think its a matter of catching up now!!
waaaaaaa the nappies are on the line and were left there overnight (to get a bit of an air out) and its been raining!! now they are soaked and i have to wait for a break in the rain to go and get them and re - wash them! not to mention the clothes line full of clothes!
oh nooo clare u poor thing! i would be demanding a new washing machine!! haha i always get really worried when my comp plays up too its like nooooo social life!!!! lol
pregpan - well done N on the progress!! gladthe weaning and sleeping is going well too!! her cold is kinda the same.. worse cough though because shes getting all the crap off her chest now.. i think she is feeling a bit better because i havnt had to give her dimetapp the last few days..
kate - congrats on the crawling! ashas been very much the same with the clingy and sooky drives you nuts dosnt it!
-
morning everyone! ia m still cravng lamb shanks... i better learn how to make them i guess and then go on a hunt!! I reckon the meat stripped off them would be yummo for the babies too - anyone tried that?
Clare - glad you are feeling a bit better - i am too (tho was nowhere near as bad as you). My DH is off oseas again tomorrow for a few days so i better get my energy back! N is also into micking me now - he does a wicked '****adoodledooo' so cute!!! he has started to clap as well in the last few days (i know lots of of bubbas have already been doing this but it is new for him LOL) and is chattering away heaps...he also smacks his lips together when he is hungry and is picking up lots of mannerisms from me and DH. it is kind of weird to see them on a little person hey!
Noni - glad asha slept better last night... Noah also slept thru again!!! he had a settle at 10pm, just patting from DH and then we didnt hear fromhim til 6.30am!!! of course we both checked hima bout 15 times but he was none the wiser LOL!
MD - how are you?
Rainy - how and where are you???
hi to everyone else
xxx
-
morning all. :D Just a quickie.
Shingles clearing up nicely. MS in full swing, i remember now why i was only having one baby! Ah well self inflicted, no sympathy!
Food- we wouldn't have quite 2 cups of food per meal, but maybe 1 and a half.
Rainy had an incident with her pc and it is out of action. She is hoping to back on line on the weekend. (hope you don't mind me letting everyone know you're fine Rain! )
-
Aaah good to know she is OK Ange! I am missing her!
I am so glad the shingles are getting better - how awful for you and on top of that MS!!! At least you get another gorgeous bubba at the end of it all!
-
ahhhhh asha wants to go to sleep and i cannot find a dummy anywhere not even one ahhhhh the joys
!!!
-
i think af is due next week is it still too early to do a HPT? i did one last thursdayish that was neg but i am still feeling funny... when should i wait till to get accurate results?
-
Noni - I am not sure, i think there are some that are accurate from 5 days before AF due??? I dont know though as all the tests i was doing were in the UK... maybe go to chemist and check them out i think they all write on their packaging when they are accurate from...
Hope you found the dummy and miss A is having a lovely sleep now.
-
I didn't get a BFP until 15DPO, but some people get them much earlier, for eg. 9 DPO. There is a thread on who got BFP, when and what test they used.
ETA- missed your post pregpan! Yeah i know you are right, eye's on the prize! i keep reminding myself. :)
-
problem is i dont know how many dpo i am coz no idea when i od only actually guessing on when af is due (so bad with keeping track this month!)
pregpan - i didnt find a dummy but she is asleep in her bouncer.. i'm stuck here tho coz when i stop bouncing she wakes up!
-
Well then i'd say if you have loads of spare cash, test away, if you don't, wait till next week! After all it won't change much, except your state of mind! ;) Are you taking folate JIC?
-
Kate & Pregpan - I totally agree with giving bubs pant free time. With pants on Maddie was slipping and sliding and not getting far, but when I took her pants off and put her on carpet off she went. Now she has the hang of it she is doing pretty well even with her pants on. So Pregpan definately keep giving N pant free time. Also I like the idea of turning the rug over.
Noni - Gawd I'm not really sure, I dont really have a clue when it comes to dates and stuff lol. I do know that before I found out I was pregnant, I did a test to make sure I wasnt utd and it came back negative & the week after it was positive. Maybe give it more time? Are you hoping for another? Glad to hear A gave you a good nights sleep.
Ange - I was thinking about Rainy last night as well, thanks for the update. Sorry to hear about you ms, its horrible isnt it. I remember when I was pregnant I swore I wouldnt do it again due to the terrible ms. Of course I will but soooo dreading that ms! Glad the shingles have gone.
Pregpan - YAY glad N slept through again! ****adoodledoo hahahaha how cute.
Clare - We had a rough patch a couple of weeks ago with M waking at 3/4 and taking time to settle. Its since stopped, but I put it down to teeth too. Dont worry about the night feeds, I was doing it and we've since had a whole week of her sleeping through. Touch wood! I think you just do what you need to do at the time.
Trillian - Awwwww how cute is Alister, could just picture him curled up with mum's nightie!!
Well I feel like M has come a fair way in the past few days. Still cant believe she's crawling, no joke she is off and I find myself having to track her down all the time. She is into everything!! I keep having to go 'ta, not for Maddie' and taking things off her. You girls were right, crawling isnt so good after all lol. Also apparently at daycare yesterday she was drinking out of her sippy cup and tipping her head back. I'm yet to see it though. Also just before she crawled over to our lounge and pulled herself to standing. She is doing so well I'm so impressed.
On a bad note I've got a gastro bug and suspect M might be in the same boat, as she's had a couple of chucks this morning. So we are missing swimming AGAIN!
-
Hi Girls,
I am starting to get really excited as on Friday DH and I are staying at a really nice hotel in the city for the night. DH has a work dinner that we have to go to in there and said that since it our wedding aniversary (8yrs) on tuesday that we are going to treat ourselves. Wooo Hooo I am going to leave work early so I can check in at 2pm and enjoy the room.. The kids are sleepin over at grannys for the night so they will enjoy that. Woo hooo for Mumma Time....
Noni- Good work for A to go to sleep with out a dummy. Glad you had some much needed sleep.
Ange- Glad the shingles are clearing up.
Prepan- Congrats on N sleeping though again...
Clare- Hope the tonsiles clear up now.
Kate- WTG S for crawling:clap:
Oh Olivia now has 3 teeth with 2 more soon to follow... I am so glad she is like Jordy with getting teeth and no temps... X was a nightmare.
Jordy's Pooing seems to be going ok. He has to have the movicol for another 2 mths then we go back to the dr and he will wean him off it slowly. Fingers Crossed.
OMG Yesterday I just realised that X had a hearing test on monday that I totally forgot about and I felt really bad too but I rang them up and now going on Friday at 11.30 am. Told my SIL that I might need a PA lol. My life seems so crazy that sometimes I just can not catch up with it get distracted.... Yesterday I thought I should put the appointments in my mobile but then I rememberd that on monday I lost my phone for the whole day... What a Dits Iam.. Geez I really dont think that that made sense....
I am really looking forward to Friday.....:excited::rofl:
-
well i did one lol it was negative.. its pretty unlikely that i am but i just feel different.. ahhh well i'll wait out the week and then buy another one if still no af.
leanne - woooohooo for mumma time!! have a great one!my mum is taking asha again this friday and i cant wait!! haha does that sound mean? oh well lol
mm - no not hoping for another lol well it wasnt planned and now that it could be happening i am kinda semi excited lol.. i know with the way things have been with asha etc and my lack of coping skills at times its not the smart thing to do to have another baby but hey if it happens i'll welcome it.. sorry to hear you guys are sick!
ange - lol no i didnt even take folate during my preg with asha (smacks hand) i am hopeless with taking tablets!!
-
MM, I was wondering how long it would take for you to realise that crawling creates a whole heap more work lol, very cute though. Sounds like M is doing really well
Noni, glad A slept well for you last night. I didn't take any folate or vitamins when preg either, can't swallow pills.
Clare, good to hear the tonsillitis is getting better. Do you inject into your own bum? I always thought the extra padding I have there would make it a good spot for injecting (when I was on insulin for GD) but could never quite reach it with my belly preventing the twist needed to reach it lol
Ange, sorry about the morning sickness. I also swore that W would be an only child, now I can't wait to do it again. The memory of how sick I was has faded but I am sure it will come back as soon as I start to spend some quality time with the toilet again lol
Leemar, sounds like you are in for a good weekend, I am jealous.
Kate, congrats on the crawling. It is such a bummer when they are having sooky clingy days.
Prepan, the ****adoodledo is really cute. No words here.
Well, I was almost a supermum this morning- I got up early, booked tickets to visit the inlaws, got W and I fed and dressed, went to W's music group, posted MIL's birthday present, did the shopping and was home by 11am. It has faded out now though because I should be cleaning the house but I am on here instead lol
We got a good haul of toys from toy library the other day for $4 so the wet inside days are not much of a problem now. W is getting more and more words that he understands. Today we got a balloon at the shop and at home I asked W 'where is the balloon' and he didn't know so I showed him, then a few minutes later I asked him again and he went straight to it. He can find mum, dad, chim (dog), artemis (cat), box, jacket and at least a dozen toys by name now. He is a little sponge, he learns so quickly I am constantly amazed.
His sleep is also getting better slowly. We have had a couple of times in the past week when he has only woken 2 times in the night  After all this time I think I have figured out what a big part of the problem was: Blankets!. He always wakes up, kicks off the blankets, I feed him back to sleep and cover him back up. This last week or so I haven't been putting the blankets back on and he hasn't been waking as much. Seems too coincidental to not be related.
-
hi all just did long post and lost it...
poor N is home with me.... he has conjunctivitis.... poor boy!! and poor mumma how am i going ti get my work done?? and DH away from tomorrow morning...
the jugging is so hard...
Now pls tell me this would not be why he has been sleeping so well????? please please... i thought he was on a new stage not just getting sick....
sorry for selfish post
-
hello everyone
sorry i had you all worried...i'm touched that you guys noticed i wasn't here and missed me..aawwww:hug:
on friday i left a full glass of cordial next to the laptop. i went to answer the phone and when i came back lewis had poured the whole glass over the computer...it is stuffed....
it wouldn't even turn on....
aawww well, we needed a new one anyway, seeing as how it had no spacew bar, enter key or shift key- thanks lewis!
thanks for letting everyone know i was mia ange :)
i've had a quick skim over everything....
damn, lewis has just woken...just when i get a chance to catch up!!!
i'll be back as soon as i can to catch up with you all
-
pregpan- big big hugs
you poor love. i don't know if that would make him sleep, i reckon it would prob make him more wakeful yeah?
lewis is still sick and sleeping really badly. i'm taking him to physio next week to rule outany problems there and tonight he is getting his first ever bottle of formula- wish dp luck in giving it to him!
since he has been sick he has developed a suck to sleep dependancy. it can be very difficult to get my nipple out of his mouth without him screaming. i am getting very tired and over it.
dp is going to give him a bottle at 7.30pm tonight so hopefully i can get a bit of a break.
then hopefully once he is totally over this cold we can work on some sleeping strategies. i am not into cc at all, but i'm also feeling quite desperate.
i'm really wanting to start weaning soon so might be asking you guys for lots of help!
i had all these things i wanted to write to you guys but i've completely forgotten everything! i'm blaming pg brain for my completely selfish rambling post.
mmm i'm so hungry- we're having indian takeaway tonight. we are the kings of takeaway atm
-
Hi ladies
Noni, oh hun i kwym about being excited even though it wasn't planned, I think I would feel that way if by some miraculous event it happened to me. Glad you have caught up on some sleep, when's your next mumma-time day?
Ange, glad the shingles is sorting out, remember to take your ginger!! Blackmores has a really good MS formulation, I know it worked cos i only ever felt super rotten when I'd forgotten to take it for a day or two. BTW thanks for letting us know about Rainy, I'd been wondering too.
Pregpan, ah poor thing! Yes the juggling is hard, some days there are so many balls up there that you've got to drop one or two to save the rest. Hope you catch up on your work ok.
Leanne, super jealous of your dirty anniversary weekend! Enjoy!
Clare, glad your human pincushion days are nearly over, sometimes you just need that extra boost then your body can heal itself from there.
MM poo for missing swimming again! LOL now that M is into everything (some of us have been doing that for months)! hehe.
Sherie, sooo cute about A curling up with your nightie! E put herself to sleep not long ago as DD was getting ready for Guides and had to have crazy hair AND dress for the Olympics (we combined the two by doing Olympic colours in her hair with pipecleaners). I could hear E complaining in her bed but I had to get H ready superquick cos the leader was picking her up and by the time I got ready to go in there, she was asleep LOL.
AFM well had a lovely day catching up with another friend who's got a 3 mo, had a walk and coffee, etc. THEN I went to Athletes Foot to buy myself some woohoo walking shoes and met a young lady who's about to fly out to China because her fiance is in the Austn Judo team - how excited am I to have met someone who is Actually Going! So now I'll have to follow the Judo, Matt something is his name. Told DD and she was just as excited that I'd met someone as I was LOL. Oh we lead a small life, don't we?
No more choking incidents with E thank goodness, it was doing my nerves in. Intend to have a decent cook up cos the baby food freezer stocks are running low. She had egg in her pudding last night and today no probs so I'll get onto some pikelets and fritters. Re the talking, she says "Allo" when you go in there in the morning (that's what DH always says, Hallo) but I haven't really tested what other words she understands. Might try it with some toys like Arte did.
Oh, and I've decided what we're doing for mine and E's birthdays, going up to friends for the weekend, and I'll try to find one of those baby animal patting places to go to and have a picnic. Then we'll have a little cake and balloon party with a few friends the following weekend. Maybe a duckie theme since she loves her bath duckies so much! LOL I'm going to blow up zillions of balloons and have them all in a pit in the lounge room for E to play in!
Rainy, I'm not into CC either, but I had reached desperation point by the time we went to QE2. I tried a lot of the comforted no crying techniques and they were just exacerbating the problems and I didn't have the luxury of time to get it sorted, kwim? You're a fantastic mother and your loving attention will get him through whatever changes you need to make. xxx BTW where did you get your new laptop, I'm in the market for one right now!
-
hi all
sorry for the selfish post earlier... was feeling a little stressed and v sad for N to be unwell again. that said the conjunc really does not seem to be bothering him much - what bothered him was having the ointment put in his eyes... poor little guy... i am dreading doing that over the next few days without DH.
V stressed about work, so much on. DH took him to dr and i did some and am catching up now while DH does dinner too...i will still be behind as N has to stay home tomorrow but what can you do hey... i guess i will be working after i put him to bed tomorrow night as well...
MD sounds like you had a fun day with your friend. and the party sounds wonderful too.
Rainy - good to hear from you!!! Lewis is a terror!!!! all these stories put a silver lining in the cloud of no crawl Noah!! LOL!!! how did the bottle go??? i have weaning tips... i still feel sometimes sad and sometimes fine about weaning... i guess it has to happen at some pt. i hope he took to the formula ok, though it did take a while for N - now he is so fine with it. which bottles are you using? N would only do the tommee tipeee closer to nature ones.
Anyway - sorry to rush off but gotta lower my stress levels by actually DOING some work!!
have a good night everyone.
-
hey everyone
i am feeling alot better the last few days with coping with asha.. putting her bed in our room means i get a few hours sleep to myself and then the rest of the night co - sleeping but i dont mind coz she is actually sleeping! yesterday i cleaned the house, mopped the floors and made cupcakes hahaha very productive.. ashas being a real clingy monster though which makes things a bit tough! she cries if i go down the hallway or anywhere out of site then starts following me crying all the way geez drives me mad!!
i am getting my wisdom teeth too :( man they hurt! on the plus side if been eating like foods going out of fassion lately and now that my teeth hurt i can hardly eat at all so a bit of damage controll going on haha.. on that same wavelength we have a fancy dress party to go to on the weekend and my costume is a litttle ummm i spose skanky haha so i dont wanna look fat in it!!! i am very proud of ashas costume tho!! i made her a little mouse costume.. i dyed a bonds suit grey and bought on of their little hats made of the same material and dyed it and made ears with the material and sewed them on a headband and then made a tail out of that same hat and sewed it on the suit.. its soooo cute will have to post some pics after the weekend..
pregpan - sorry to hear your having a tough time! hope the conjunctavitis clears up asap too. poor little N!
md - yeah its funny after the neg test part of me was happy but another point is dissapointed.. i find myself hoping i am and thinking about names etc etc hahaha maybe i will be ready to have another one sooner than i originally thought lol.. i am worried though because i really want a boy and i dont want to feel dissapointed if i have another girl next.. ohhhh well rambling!! glad the choking incidents have stopped! i wanna get helium balloons for ashas birthday but the normal ones are probably better to play with now u mention it... my next free mumma day is .........TOMMOROW!!! hahahaha
rainforest - good to see you back!! lol @ lewis destroying your computer i spose if u want a new one of anything u can just leave it out for him haha and then u'll have a good excuse to replace it? haha thats what i would do anyway!! howd he go with the formula? well i hope! atleast indian take away is kinda different and semi healthy you think you guys are take away kings atm you should see what weve been eating eeep no wonder i am putting on weight lol we had pizza just last night!! and in the same week weve had kfc and maccas too eeeeeeeeep thats awful!!
arte - what a clever boy!! ive never tried that with asha before.. good idea tho!
-
morning all
Noni - yay for more sleep for you and asha!!! and LOL to all of us at the takeout - i think we have it a lot more now that N is older than when he was a newborn when everyone said we would live off it. i try to do a bot of cooking on the weekend but well i am not a leftovers kinda girl so we have takeaway about once a week at least. we used to eat out a lot before N so it still means we wat home cooked food alot more than we used to. that said i have arange of easy meals to make now - so the diet is a lot less interesting than it used to be. i need to expand the repertoire a bit. MMs zucchini bake is on the list now!
Clare - how are you feeling? i hope you dont have to go ythru the injections again...
Rainy - how did lewis go last night? i hope you got some rest.
as for me, DH left this morning at 5.30am.... but he is back sat night so it is ok. N had another good night sleep - i am lovng this - he had a settle at about 8.30 and then went straight through!!! til 5.30... bottle then and asleep again from 7am to 8.15 in bed with me... i dont know what has made him turn this cnr but am loving it - i just hope there isnt another corner in our path for a while LOL. that said we are taking him to melbs again next week so that will disrupt him again.. no mother of the yr awards here thats for sure!
His eye looks so much better - iwas expecting it to be REALLY crusty this morning but there was bnothing there.... it still looks more 'closed' than the other one but not too bad. i have to say getting the ointment in his eye is just awful... he screams and squirms and i have to hold him down to do it... not easy without DH! i think we have to do it for about 2-3 days after it all clears up, so at least til mon so i guess i will be a pro by the end of that!
anyway better go, i have N home with me today so plan to make the most of it (given i am dealing w the guilt re work already) and have some fun with him.
bbl - hope you all have a FAB day
-
hello ladies, thanks for all your warm welcome backs :)
noni- glad we are not the only takeaway kings around here! dp loves pizza so we have that at least once a week. my favourite is indian.
md- we are using a borrowed computer atm and are getting a hand me down one from my dad on the weekend. i wish we could afford a new one :(
i know what you mean about reaching 'the point' before you went to sleep school. it's very hard. everyone told me the first 3 months were bad but he's still a bad sleeper at 10 months!
pregpan- ok....formula bottle went ...ok. used tommee tippee bottle. dp gave it to him, he drank about half. then i put him in bed, he still wanted a bf, so i gave him a quick one and he went to sleep. woke up about an hour later, then i went in and resettled him. woke up an hour later, bf him back to sleep. then he slept for about 4 hours. bf back to sleep, then slept another 4 hours,
not toooo bad. slowing and surely we will get there.
it's a big improevement on how it's been the last couple of weeks where he has still been awake at midnight, screaming from overtiredness and refusing to sleep.
we're just going to keep working on stretching out his sleeps, reducing bfs. see how we go
do you think N may have turned a corner b/c he has weaned?
well we were supposed to go to mothers group today at 1pm but at 12.50pm lewis started screaming hysterically and wouldn't let me put him down even so i could get dresssed to go. it was doing my head in! then he just fell asleep and slept for 2 hours. usually he doesn't have his arvo sleep till 2 or3pm so he must have just been exhausted today...aahhh sleeping is so harrrrrd atm. ever since he's been sick i just feel all over the place :(
-
Rainy - N's sleep has really improved since I weaned him.... I have no idea if it is linked (I would like to think not but I am not sure) but he has been pretty bad since 4 months and now he is sleeping well and he has been for 6 nights now - ha ha have prob jinxed myself. as you know i weaned gradually for the most part but then it kinda suddenly ended last thu - he has been sleeping thru pretty much since sat night and has only had 1 feed (also a bottle) in the night in all that time... i have no idea if it is linked or a coincidence but I am taking it!!! if you want to know bit more about how i weaned him just PM me.... I dont know how you are coping wuth the sleep dep while preg too... hats off to you my dear! I love Indian too.... hmm maybe i will get that tonight since DH has abandoned me!!!
-
pregpan- i'm so glad you're on here- i have been searching for that vego pasta recipe you posted in the last thread and i can't find it. can you tell me it again please? sorry to be such a pita but i have to ring dp and tell him what to bring home from the supermarket.
yes i would very much like some weaning help. did you just start with one bottle of formula. i want to do it very gradually- take about 3-4 months or so? if he's very against it then i may tandem feed.
-
which one hon??? the roast veg one??? if so you need yellow and red capsicum, courgette, aubergine, vine tomatoe or cherry tomatoes, garlic and red onion - roast them all up and puree.
the other one had ricotta which i dont think yuo ate eating right now???
yep i started with one bottle, a day time one... that was a few months ago - replaced a feed every few weeks til all day was bottles and then did the same with pre bed and wake up feeds... he dropped the night feedimg when we did this.
-
ohh thanks, do you think i can eat ricotta in food? i was looking for that one. our oven is dodgy atm.
might look on taste dot com and see if i can find an easy one.
how many bottles does N have a day now? does he self settle or do you help him to sleep?
-
just a quickie- i eat ricotta. As long as it is fresh out of a packet it is fine. When cooked it is extra fine! (I eat all cheese if it is made from pasturised milk and i know it is fresh. ;) )
-
thanks ange
what about fetta? i miss fetta
how are you feeling today?
ps- happy 10 months to lewis today!!yah
-
Yup i eat fetta too. ;) Again as long as it is fresh (i get the packets you have to open) and made from pasturised milk.
I feel like a cheese and crap sandwich again. :D But thanks for asking!
-
yeah i ate ricotta thru the last preg, well in the last tri once my OB told me i was crazy not to.... i wanted it JUST to have this pasta - which is one of my favourite meals!!
Ange - sorry you are feeling crap - i hope the ms passes soon... are the shingles still bothering you?
Rainy - it is a mix, to be honest he has been rather good at self settling lately, but i also pat and trock depending on how he is. as you know i used to feed to sleep and also rock a lot... so this is a bit of a miracle week... no idea what is making it happen and i am sure next week i will have a hell week... he has 4 bottles a day (and on the odd occasion ie once this week one in the night too)... he was bfeeding a lot more than that - 2 or 3 times in the night... so i was scared he would be having like 8 bottles but that hasnt happened... he has 200ml in most bottles (some are 150ml). my next challenge is to get him to drink water from a sippy cup as surely when he is on cows milk in a6-8 weeks or so he wont drink 800ml a day of it???? or will he????

sounds good pregpan- i'm going to be pestering you for months about weaning!
what's in the ricotta pasta recipe again? sorry to be such a pita

cherry toms - 2 packs
basil
ricotta (about 250g)
garlic
olive oil
cut cherry tom in half and squeeze out juice and seeds, add olive oil and garlic and set aside for about 15 mins
cook pasta - i use orechiette
drain and then heat the tomato mix, mix in pasta and the ricotta and basil leaves
yummo
i usde quite a lot of garlic and basil and season the ricotta w fresh pepper and sea salt

Pregpan- My MCHN said to me today that at 12months they recommend 3 serves of dairy a day. I 'think' 200ml of milk is one serve, a small tub of yughurt is another. But i'm sure this advice varies from person to person! Shingles are clearing up really well thanks.
Maybe it is the age Rainy, we had a massive miracle week about 2 weeks ago too and she is a new baby overnight now. I didn't really change that much. So maybe your miracle is on the way. ;)
-
I reckon it is the age - i simply cant put it down to weaning and as i said i think this is a coincidence. i hope Lewis turns a corner soon Rainy - I know it has helped me a lot, he was terible the last few weeks... i even told DH i thought we should put off TTC longer... (i dont thnk that anymore!!)
That reminds me, now thayt I am no longer bfeeding i guess i stop taking the preg and bfeeding multi vs?
-
Rainy, sounds like the better sleeping might be an age thing, W has improved out of sight in the past couple of weeks. He has gone from 6+ wake ups to some nights only waking twice! Very manageable. Hopefully L is about to turn a corner for you.
Pregpan, keep taking the preg multi's, we can be TTC buddies lol
Noni, the suit sounds soo cute.
MD, did H accept the major city reason for the late tooth fairy?
