Hi Girls!
Wow lots going on! i did some skimming over....but as usual there is loads to get through LOL!
Leanne: i hope the hearing test goes well. and YAY for 'self' time!! wish i was having one of those days!!
Noni: yep, L is the same. she tells me she is full then crawls under the table looking for scraps and squeals in delight when/if she comes across anything! arrghhh!
Pregpan: yeah if you are going to TTC i dont see why you should stop taking them...unless you have run out, then i guess go for the 'conceive well' type pills...
Rainy: IKWYM about the sleep when sick stuff. L has a runny nose and i think a sore throat ATM and she is just smashed. she has only been doing light sleeps at night for the past 2 weeks and has been waking up for an hour long screaming match at 2-3am. the little boy down the road who is 2 weeks older than her has been doing the same. i also think that the next tooth is almost here...
anyway best dash as i have a meeting to prepare (arrrghhh!)
BBL :)
-
Noni and Leeanne enjoy your mumma time!!!
Well I bought the preconception multi v's today... not that we are TTC yet but gotta get things in shape. It feels weird to be not bfeeding and preparing my bod for another bubba. I feel like I am cheating on N LOL!!
last night was a shoker here sleep wise - i knew i jinxed myself... i hope this does not mean the dream of the last week ois over. np positive thinking - he will be better tonight. he is sleeping now, settled himself in his cot so happy with that.
Noni - i think the bm or form is their main dairy now - plus any cheese, yoghurt etc i guess.
ETA Clare we were posting at the same time... Leilas sleep sounds like N (expect those few dream nights) - i also wondered if maybe a new tooth was on its way. though i desperation last night i gave him panadol at 3am and srill no sleep til 5... (YAWN)
-
((hugs)) and commiserations on the sleep deprivation, ladies!
Just a quick sorry-for-self post from me today. E was up last night with a really high temp, took quite a while to come down, no obvious signs of illness. So now I"m terrified that she's having the first onset of cold sores, because I've got this huge multi-header on my lip (normally they start but never fully develop but this one's been going all week and keeps getting new little heads starting in it OWWWW). I've been really careful about not kissing, washing hands, etc, but several times she has raked her fingers/hand/fingernails right thru the lesion. I've washed/wiped her hands as quick as I could (depending on where we were at the time). If it's onset cold sores then it can be really really painful as they can lesions all thru their mouth/throat and I don't even want to think about that infected saliva going near my nipples!!! We've got a drs appt this afternoon and I think I will kiss him if he tells me it's just an ear infection LOL. Anyway I'm off to grab a nap while E is asleep cos the lack of sleep is fuelling the monster on my face.
-
Dont kiss him MD - you dont want to infect him!!! sorry you are prob not in the mood for jokes.. sounds awful and painful you poor thing. I hope miss e is ok and also that you feel better soon.
hugs.
-
Yeah nonie- as pregpan said, bm/formula is main dairy now.
Aww MD- sounds painful. DH gets coldsores and i have never had one. *touch wood* So they must be pretty hard to catch. Hope it's something simple.
Leanne- have a great day. how exciting, a day to yourself. hope hearing test goes ok too.
Pregpan- I had a little chuckle at your cheating on N! No cheating, just working on some company for him. :)
During a little nappy off time, Lu dropped a decent sized log on the floor, by the time i came into the room, she was poking it! EeeeEEeeeWwwwwW! At least she didn't eat it.
-
oohhh md-:hug:- you poor thing, i really hope E doesn't get one. best of luck at the drs honey. would a cold sore cause a high temp?
arte- i loveyou, are you serious he only wakes up twice now? have you done anything to stop the suck to sleep association?
pp- i'm so excited you might be ttc soon. :) get on the job girl! i feel like i'm going to pop soon, i can't believe i'm 10 weeks already!
leanne- have fun in the city. buy yourself something special like some new make up or something. i love new makeup. not that i ever wear make up now, but i still love all the packaging and stuff!
ange- well i am counting down the days till i get a miracle baby now ;) lewis is a little behind all your bubs so i'm really hoping to see an improvement soon
noni- yes i hate our little iga. our nearest safeway is about 15mins away so it's not too bad but sometimes when you just need one or two items we have to go to iga. they never have fresh fruit or anything though.
where is sherie??? ...and jaz?
btw, whatever happened to agnes?
now...can you guys please tell me what your bubs' sleep pattern looks like....
atm L sleeps:
10.30am-11.30am
2pm-3.30/4pm
back in bed at 8pm and has about 6 wakeups until 8am.
do you think the gap between the arvo nap and bedtime is too long. it's just hard to get him in bed before 8pm because there is so much to do in those vital hours b/w when dp gets home and L goes to bed iykwim? what do you guys think?
-
Rainy - N has never been v routined in the day but this is basically his sleep patterns:
10.30(ish) to 11.45(ish) nap
2.30/3 - 3.30ish (nap)
Back in bed at 7
he gets up anytime b/n 5.30 (eeek) and 7.45 and has up to 3 wakes in that time - sometimes like last night 3 wak ups that take over an hour to settle and sometimes none....
i could not keep him up til 8 if i tried... we are bathing by 6.30 at the latest he is soooo tired.. but this is bc he is bad at sleeping in the day (going over 40 mins at either day sleep is a new thing inthe last few weeks) - but perhaps L is over tired when he goes to bed?
wow 10 weeks already - time is going so fast....
-
Rain-
We are usually up at about 7am.
Nap about 10am for anywhere from 45min-1.5hrs
Nap about 2-3pm-ish anywhere from 30min-1hr.
Bed anywhere from 6pm-7pm depending on when arvo nap was and for how long. She gets pretty cranky after 3.5hrs awake, so try not to go over that, or she is really hard to settle.
If you read back a few weeks, it seemed everyone was having sleep problems, and now it seems to be settling down (mostly!), so i hope it does for you too. Like you say L is a couple of weeks behind. I was at my wits end a few weeks back, i even started a thread on needing sleep, and now she sleeps through?! :dunno: Your time is coming. ;)
-
i hope you're right Ange! i hope you're right.
i might try to push L to stay asleep till 4, then try to have him in bed again before 7.30. there's no Home and Away now for a few weeks anyway so we should be able to manage that LOL
-
 yeah prob no more home and away ever, they're all dying!
-
lol home and away i am a neighbours fan just cant get into home and away tho..
wow so many ppl having/trying for the next bub i am jelous!af came today so no second bub for us yet i dont know really how i feel about it actually its weird!!
well bubba free time is goin pretty well i borrowed my mums vaccuum so my rug is nice and clean, tidied the house a little n put some washing on but mostly i am just relaxing i am still in my pjs lol but shhhhh haha..
ashas sleep pattern is usually
up between 7-8
sleep at 9ish - 9:30-10
sleep at 1/2 - 2/3
then she used to fall back asleep at 5 but i am not letting her and she currently sleeps between 7-8 comes to bed around 1am and sleeps through till 7-8ish
before that though u all know the nightmares i was having with 3-4 hours sleep a night its all gotton better since ive not let her sleep at 5 and stretch her out as long as i can at night lol its a little painful sometimes but hey it works!
wow rain 10wks!! lucky u time going so fast! how have u been feeling with it all? is it hard being pregnant and looking after L? i worry that i wont do a good enough job with A if i get pregnant because of how crappy i felt last preg...
-
hi everyone - made N some little savoury mini muffins today - he is loving them so thought i'd share - i kinda made it up with ingredients i have so you may want to adapt a bit
1/2 cob corn - cut off kernels
grated tasty cheese - i prob used about 3/4 cup
milk - about 3/4 cup
olive oil - 1/3 cup
2 eggs
2 cups self raising flour (i used wholemeal)
sift flour
mix tog wet ingredient and then fold inthe flour
bake at 180 deg for about 15-20 mins (this made about 30 mini muffins)
would be nice with herbs (maybe chives) or sundried tomato ad/or spinach added too - i didnt have any!!!
you could also grate other vegies in, carrot, zuccini etc
he ate 2 of them in one go.... as a snack!
i am freezing them and can take them out with us - a healthy snack for him...
enjoy let me know if you try them
-
pp- you're such a fantastic cook, sometimes N's food makes me so jealous as i sit here eating raisan toast again!!
ange- ikwym about them all dying. i like a few of the new characters- Roman, Charlie, Ruby.
noni- i've been feeling pretty good actually. believe it or not i actually found the first trimester harder last time- being at work. this time i've been having an afternoon nap everyday for at least one hour while lewis is sleeping. it's nice not having to face people everyday- if i want to just lounge around in my pjs with no bra, i just do it!
-
mmmm Pregpan that sounds delish...will give that a go an yeah chives will be added as we have it growing wild outside!
Rainy: Leila's sleep goes a bit like this ATM:
10.30am-11.30ish (anywhere btwn 40 mins and 1.5 hours)
Then at 2pm-4/4.30pm
Then off to bed btwn 6.30pm-7pm. (i like to get her down before H&A!) te he he he!
Usually she sleeps through to about 6.30am, up for about 30 mins and then sleeps for another hour or hour and a half.
Noni: awww i wish i was still in my pjs!! ahh i dream of having a clean place...but it's only a dream. LOL!
MD: ohhh! DH gets coldsores too. he had one about 2 weeks ago and is only just clearing up. he too was being extra cautious with L. fortunately i dont get them, so fingers-crossed that our bubs dont get them either! does DD1 get them? cause you never know, maybe they are immune?
AFM: well was still really crook last night, but woke up today feeling better than i have in ages! YAY!
and Leila also slept right through!! Bigger YAY! she went down at 7pm woke at 6am for a quick feed then back into bed and woke at 8.30am!!!
so am feeling like a new woman, which is good as i was getting pretty exhausted by last night and ready to pack my bags and escape to a tropical island! LOL!
-
cheers chics!
did ya see me on mcleod's daughters on wed night? lol. hilarious! i was MASSIVE.
if not, ya can always download it for free. hint: i am the biggest one there.
i CANNOT believe i got a first birthday party invite from a friend who had a baby 3 wks before me. heck i haven't even started thinking about T's 1st birthday. what a big girl. she thinks she is so clever finally starting to crawl. she is so fat it has taken her muscles this long to get up the strength to hold her bum up! ha ha.
so sorry haven't been online for yonks, but i am back! (not that i remembered my user name and p/word!)
supa.
-
p.s is anyone from our threads pg again?
-
Funny you should ask SupaB - Gracie and Ange are both pg again!
OK, I'm still alive LOL. Been busy again (becoming the story of my life lately). yesterday I had an appointment with a herbalist specialising in psoriasis as it has flared up really badly and I can't control it with what I usually use, and if I went back to my dermatoligist, I know she would put me on meds for it that have the potential to ruin my liver and kidneys - no thanks! So I am taking a holistic approach this time. So I am on an exclusion diet as well as some homeopathics. So no more CHOCOLATE (ye gads! how will I cope? ;) ) Yeast, dairy especially cheese, mushrooms, olives, potato, tomato or peas, and increase my intake of fish and chicken, green vege (but not hte peas as they have sulphur and make me itchy apparently and lessen the amount of red meat I have. It's been interesting so far let me tell you - getting hold of seafood when you're 6hrs away from the coast isn't easy. But if it works it will be worth it because I am totally over it I can tell you - I nearly look as bad as the people you see in the ads for psoriasis treatments its that bad.
-
YAY Supa - been missing you honey!!!
I will now have to download mcleods just to see you!!!
N isnt crawling and DH hnestly thinks it is bc he is so fat he cant lift his bum.... i feel bad fo rhim that DH said that so i compendsate by giving him MORE food LOL!! he is getting thete though, we saw some serious commando crawling today i think - took bribery of chasing my mobile ph around and then i realised what he REALLY wanted to chase was my empty vitamin jar... hmm and to think what i have spent on toys lately!! Anyway good to hear from you, and that T is doing well.
Yep Rainy (who was Gracie) and Ange are both preg.... the rest of us are just living vicariously!!
girls - make the muffins - N ate 2 more of them (they are v small) while hea waited im(patienmtly) for me to cook his dinner tonight. it makes the big sore burn i have on my ahand from the oven today worthwhile!!
back later - baby einstein is done so it is time for story and bath... i hope i can stay up long enough for the opening ceremony tonight...
ETA - sherie we were posting at the same time... you poor thing. have you tried dead sea products - i know they help a lot of ppl with psoriasis... that and those fish that bite your skin - but i would go for the dead sea stuff.... then again maybe the fish are better than NO CHOC!!:???? seriously i hope it clears up for you, my uncle suffers really badly from it so i know how bad it can get.
-
SupaB, good to see you. There are two ladies in here that are preg again. Do you have something to share lol
Rainy, I didn't do anything different, he just out of the blue started sleeping better. Actually now that I think about it, it started around the time he started having more one nap a day days. Our usual routine is:
7.30/8 get up
11ish nap for 1.5 hours
3.30ish nap for 1.5 hours
8pm bedtime
or, on a one nap day:
7.30/8 get up
1ish nap for 2 hours
8pm bedtime
Last night he only woke up twice again. Actually that might be a bit misleading. He woke up once before I went to bed, then twice during the night and then again at 6.30am. I only count them as wake ups if he wakes me up lol. I guess he really woke up 4 times, still it is heaps better than it has been.
Who died on Home and Away?????!!!! We are a couple of months behind here (and I don't have t.v anyway lol)
-
Gracie & Angie - Congratulations! wow... you go girls!!!!
Artechim - what a gorgeous boy! LOL i am boring and have no news :p
Pregpan - thanks its good to be back, yes download it! T only just crawled properly on 1 Aug. i do think its the weight though. i am still b/feeding and she is eating 3 meals a day. still b/feeding every 4 hours sometimes longer.
Trillian - nice to meet you.
Seems there are a few more pple on here now - hi there!!!
-
LOL Supa - Trillian is Sherie - not a newbie by any stretch!!!
Well if weight has anything to do with it N will not crawl fir a while - he carries it around his bum too LOL! big cute thighs my boy has - and a big tum too!
ETA SHERIE wanted to ask you re the brauers recovery tonic - just got around to starting today - do you do 1ml 4 times a day with A?
-
LOL SupaB, 'tis only me.
Pregpan, I did at the start, and then backed off as he got better.
-
so how much do you do now?? or have you stopped?? I am doing 4 per day atm, thought i would do that for about a week and then drop back to 2 times per day til tje bottle is used up? do you think that is a good plan?
had a good night, N was up at 9.00 and 10.30 i was so worried i was in for a terrible night but then he slept til 5.30, had a chat to himself and went back to sleep til 6.20... we have been up since then but he is in sucha goreat mood playing om the floor - getting more mobile (no crawling but heaps of rolling and shuffling along) too... he now throws himself fwd if you sit him up and he wants to get something... leans fwd and goe onto his front from sitting.. i figure this has to be a good sign....
-
Rainy, I try to stretch E a bit in the morning, so instead of going down around 10.30, I stretch her until 11.30 or around 12.00. Sometimes a well-timed snack can keep them going a bit longer before their nap. She's then up until any where between 3.30 to 4.30, so all that happens when she gets up is dinner, evening routine then bed from 7.30 to 8.00. I know the Tizzie Halls of the world would crucify me for breaking the NO SLEEP AFTER 3PM rule but tough tits, it works really well for us, and all the extra things like school runs, the time the FDC gets home, etc all fits in to this pattern. The benefit of this is also it will be a smoother transition over to only one sleep a day once she's ready for that.
Arte, looks like our routines are pretty similar, we've had a few one-sleep days, normally when I'm out and about and she doesn't fall asleep in the pram LOL! Sorry can't help with Home and Away.
Supa - AAAH I can't believe I missed seeing you on the teev!! Where can I download from? (Can you pm me a link)ta. From memory you are wearing a yellow tshirt??
Trill sorry to hear your Psoriasis is so bad. I'm in shock you've just named all the essential components of my diet especially chocolate! Good luck with it, I hope the holistic approach works. xx
Ok well you can probably guess from my unconcerned tone that E is starting to be a little better. Dr couldn't find anything so I asked for a wee test, they dip-sticked it last night when I dropped it off and it looks (from the dipstick) like it might be a UTI so we've got ABs for her. Another scary high temp last night (even after I'd given her the nurofen - scary) but I removed a layer and she cooled down after that. She's a little happier today than yesterday so I'm hoping it's not the cold sores after all. (Rainy - first time a person gets the cold sore virus it can present as a very high temps, sore throat, mouth & throat lesions, etc - especially small children. Sometimes you get no outward signs of illness at all).
BTW Follow up on the tooth fairy saga, it seems like the TF turns up sometimes when you're at school. Oh I had to muster my very best poker face for that one! She had a late night tooth fall out as well but I had no goldies in my purse and I thought it would be way uncool for the TF to leave silver coins so she came a night later for the third tooth as well. PMSL I comfort myself that we'll have a good cackle about it when she's got toofy kids of her own.
-
Pregpan, I used it for about 3 days before he cracked it and refused to let it past his lips LOL. He had started to come good by then anyway.
Marydean, at least you're onto the problem and hopefully the abs will settle things down for her very soon.
-
Hi Girls!
and welcome back Supa!
sherie: ohhhh that doesn't sound too nice my love. did it flare up cause of the meds you have had to take recently?
pregpan: we did the recovery tonic 4 times a day for a week and it seemed to work a treat.
we are having some yuk nights here ATM too. only one wakeup but for L it is really unusual and as a result she has been waking in the morning in a true grumpy bum mood. i can see the white crest of the top tooth just ready to burst out...waiting waiting waiting!
MD: wowsers girl, you are busy ATM! mum, doc and TF all in one! LOL!
Arte: no one has actually died yet (well not in the last week). but as true soap opera fashion requires the olympic cliff-hanger has pretty much the entire cast in dire circumstances (you know the usual, psycho on the loose, hospital drama etc etc). nail biting stuff! LOL!
Rainy: Leila just ripped off a key from my laptop!! LOL!
anyway BBL as it is cold here in the hall. need wireless! anyone got it and can recommend one??
-
I think it did Clare. First time in years I need abs and look what it does to me! I have wireless with Telstra but wish I didn't. They are a pack of thieves because they know that they are the only ones that service rural areas. We pay $109.95 for 3gB download limit per mth!! I am hoping that Optus get their act together and start servicing more regional areas so I can go with them as their packages are so much cheaper. So for now we have no other choice.
-
Trillian- My satellite is cheaper than that! Telstra are the biggest scammers. Psoriasis is not nice, hope it clears up soon.
SupaB- I SAW YOU! But i had no idea it was you! I had a little chickle at the dancing under the windmill. Were you in blue? B/c she was the only one that looked UTD!
MD- Lucky i have no idea who Tizzie Hall is, Lu is often alseep after 3pm! Glad you are getting to the source of the problem. I'm not 100% on this, maybe someone will help me out. But i am pretty sure paracetamol is most effective at relieving a temp, more so than ibuprofen. Also ibuprofen can be a little harsh on the stomach. (although as it is also an anti inflammatory, it often gives better relief from teething) Just thought it was worth mentioning.
Clare- i think we are getting more teeth too, we have peeling red cheecks, nappy rash and slight temp, so waiting paitiently. Can't wait until all the teeth are out.
-
hi everyone! MD glad E is doing better - and that they have worked out what it was and can treat it for you. is her temp down now?
Clare and Sherie - thanks for the rips re the brauers - so so i just use it while he is unwell??? i thought i would sue it to boost his immune system - he doesnt seem to mind it actually...
i must say he has been great with the conjunct - you would not kow he had anything wrong excpet when his eyes get gloopy...
his days sleeping is getting so much better - he is having his 2nd now for today and both of them i gave a quick cuddle and put him in the cot and off he went tosleep... i dont know what has chgd but i am loving it.
have friends coming for brunch tomorrow - not sure what to make... i was going to do a fetta and spinach omlette but then i remembered she is preg... so may not eat fetta??? ia m doing coconut bread and bircher muesli but need a savoury aspect too... hmmmm not sure.. aah the dilemmas LOL!
Clare and Ange - hope the teeth come through soon... N got 6 so quickly and now no new ones for ages... though he has been drooling a lot the last few days...
Clare I have wireless and it is bigpond... but work pays so i am sure it isnt the best deal LOL
DH will be home in an hour... YAY!!!
-
Pregpan, fetta should be ok provided it is cooked through and HOT. It's the cold things that are the listeria worry.
Ange, TBH I don't often use the nurofen but the dr recommended team-tagging it with panadol and because I wanted her to have better coverage overnight I alternated between them. Plus if it's a UTI we all know how bl**dy painful they are. It seemed to work in the end because she had a good sleep after 1 am.
Remind me again, ladies, what's the best way of getting acidophilus/bifidus/caseii into bubbies??
PS, Clare we've got a wireless router ready to go (so we can run several pcs/lappies at once via my regular ISP) but you can just get this plug in wireless modem thingy that serves down all your wireless. My sis has one (through "3") and she pays about $50 a month and loves it.
-
Well i guess he'd know MD! ;) i am just a little wary of ibuprofen, as i get nasty gastritis if i don't have food with it. Glad it worked and she got a good sleep.
Jalna, Vaalia, hmmm and some other yoghurt mentioned a while back have live cultures in them. I have a friend who works for innerhealth plus and they have been giving their 10month old innerhealth plus for kids since he was 6 months. (Says on the bottle from 2 i think, but they just give 1/4 of the dose) That would be another way, although a little more expensive.
I give Lu Jalna yoghurt a couple of times a day.
MD- When Lu had a UTI, the chinese Dr i see recommended making a soup with celery and barley in it. Whatever else you like but they were the key ingredients. I put other vegies and a lamb shank in. Apparently the barley, or even just the broth it is cooked in, is great for UTI's. Might be an old wives tale but worth a try. ;)
-
Thanks Ange, as soon as I read the word "barley" I had a jolt of recognition, must be something I've heard along the way somewhere too. What a good idea! Thanks !
-
I think my boy is getting sick :( We went to netball this morning for Erin, and then when we came home Alister felt quite warm and I just thought it was because I left him in his snowsuit for the trip home and he refused to eat lunch which is unusual for him and then he jsut got really sleepy - still hot too - and I gave him a bottle and he slept for 2hrs. he is still really hot and flushed. I'm hoping it isn't anything major as he seems happy enough in himself, just hot. I have given him some apple juice in his cup and he hooked into that, so I guess being hot has made him extra thirsty. I will keep and eye on him and see how he goes after a bath.
Pregpan, You could use it for that too. I just stopped mainly because he wouldn't have a bar of it LOL and I couldn't be bothered fighting him over it.
-
Trillian - how is A today? hope the elimination diet clears up your psoriasis soon.
MD - do you take Lysine tablets when you get a coldsore? I had an absolute whopper a month ago and took a few of them and it healed up so much faster. Glad that E didn't get it, hope her UTI is getting better.
Glad that all the bubs are sleeping better (except Lewis - hope that sorts itself out soon Rainy). We've had a few 5:30 wake ups where she then has a feed and goes back to sleep for a while. Wondering what we'll do if she still does that when she's weaned? Do I just take a drink of milk in to her?
Supa - haven't started watching the new McLeods yet, it's all been recorded though so will keep an eye out for you.
Had a good week up in Canberra - although very hard to coordinate going out with a 5 month and 11 month old!!
DD can take steps without hanging on!! Although she only seems to do it for DH, he's seen her do it lots but I have only once. So that is very exciting!
-
Cally, glad to hear you had a good time, i bet there were lots of moments when one baby was ready to go and the other needed attending to! LOL
Hope it was just one of those things and A bounces back today, Trill.
Just wanted to pop on and ask Rainy, is it snowing there? How exciting! Hope you're all snug and warm next to the fire.
-
Cally, Yay for walking!! That is really cool
Trill, hope you get better soon, sounds like you have had a big run of problems lately. Forgot to say the other day that A must have been adorable curled up in your nightie, hope you got some pics.
Clare, you don't need to get wireless internet, you can get a wireless router that plugs into the internet hole in the wall, then you can get your comp to connect to it. You get way better internet deals if you use fixed line rather than wireless.
Not much going on here, a terrible night from W, not sure why but I am really tired now.
-
Clare- We have internet set up as Arte says. Satellite connects to a PC then we have a wireless router and i use my laptop on our own home wireless network.
Cally- Steps! How exciting, Lu stands on her own a bit, but no steps as yet.
Arte- We had a bit of a shocker last night too, i can't wait for these teeth to come through.
Trillian- How's the little man?
We've had a snowy morning here MD, it is freezing. It was pretty watching the snow fall though. Made me pine for the mountains, i havn't been skiing in a few seasons, always seem to be UTD! Next year for sure.
Still in PJ's watching the Olympics, at least there is good day time TV for a change!
-
it snowed here too ange!!
lewis loved it, he kept crawling up to the windows and staring out at it falling. gorgeous!
md- yes we have the fire roaring. it's actually 22 degrees in here! gotta love the fire. i think they were filming just up the road from here for the news so i'll have to watch.
i walked up to the shop in the snow (quicker than driving) and there were lots of cars going past with families and kids and cameras heading up to olinda to see the snow...
ahhh, seems like a perfect day for fish n chips for dinner. has anyone noticed how much i talk about food lately? it's all i think about, that and sleep.
when i'm lying awake at night with lewis, the thing that keeps me going is you girls all telling me it will pass soon...and that soon he will turn a corner....
sherie- big hugs to you. you're in the wars you poor love, hope things get better soon. how's A doing?
cally- wooo hooo on steps, gorgeous girl!
-
Hi everyone!
G, you can keep your snow hun - its blooming cold enough here today without that too. How cute that L was completely taken by it though.
Cally, OMG at K taking steps! She will be walking all the time before you know it.
Marydean, how is E today? Have you heard from DH lately?
Ange, I have been watching the olympics too, but on SBS because they have all the uncool sports like badminton LOL. Plus they show the entire coverage of an event and not just the highlights.
Arte, I hope you can get an early night hun and catch up on some sleep.
Alister is fine!? After I last posted he had another sleep, then I raced around and did a quick tidy up of the house while to older 3 weren't here - FIL had come and picked them up and took them to their house as SIL and her MIL (well sort of - she's living defacto so she may as well be her MIL) were over for the night as they had a golf tournament today in town and we were going to have dinner over there last night. So he had a reasonable sleep while I tidied and then when he woke I gave him some panadol and a bottle and put him in the tub as he was still really hot and once the panadol started working he was fine - still is. We had a few wakeups but I think that was because he go out from under the blankets and got cold. Today he is fine but still off his food a little. He only ate brekkie and a few spoons of lunch. So fingers crossed that's all it was and he is OK now.
AFM, skin is looking really good - I can see a big improvement already which is great. I'm thinking though that it wasn't so much food that triggered it, but the abs I was on because it was only since taking them that it really flared up. The only thing that I was eating a lot of that I have to exclude was the chocolate ;) and dare espresso's LOL. So when I go back on the 21st I'm hoping that I don't have to exclude so much food - not that I don't mind, but its just a hassle when cooking for 5 other people too.
