    HELLOOOO!

Hi to Cinta and Andi! I look forward to getting to know you both better

I have been reading, but didn't have time to post the other day, then I was out all day yesterday in Wagga and was too tired to even bother last night LOL. I had a follow up appointment for my psoriasis and it seems to be going well. So I think I'm happy with it LOL.

Speaking of shopping sprees, I had my own on Gymboree the other day. Got gymbucks AND a 30% discount, so I got free postage and then some on my order *YAY*. It should be here by friday.

Alister seems to have gotten Paige's cold, he's overall fine, but just a chesty cough, so no dramas really. Just keeping the vicks lathered on him. I haven't had to give him panadol or anything. He is waking a bit at night though, but its only because he gets a bit snuffly and blocked up when the air gets really cold in the wee hours.

Still not 100% sure on what he will get for his birthday though. I got his invites printed yesterday - but they are different to the ones I uploaded to the gallery. I changed my mind LOL.

MD, fantastic to hear that Miss E is sleeping better now. You sound like this trip away is going much better than the previous one.

Sherie, yay for new clothes. Hope A's cough doesn't get worse - he hasn't had croup has he?

Kate, we download tv from eztv (google and it will come up with the website). I seems to be the best one that we have found

Cinta, that would be worrying, hopefully the doctors visit will make you more at ease.

Can't remember what was in the other thread now, goldfish brain.

Clare? Yes, we are quite proud of him. He doens't have many words - he can do the noises for cat, monkey, pig, sheep, horses and everything else are Neigh. Apart from that he only has mum, dad, duck and almost teeth. Mum is always saying that I could talk in 2-3 word sentences by one and I thought that was normal but now I am thinking that I was some sort of freak baby lol We put it down to survival of the fittest, mum was a 16 year old single parent with no idea - if I didn't say what I needed I didn't get it lol

I got cloth nappies today. I have washed them and am eagerly waiting for them to dry so I can try them out.

    Hey Trillian and everyone!

How much should a 11 month old be talking? My DD is just about walking, she attempted a few steps, can stand very well...
Did any of you guys get really bad morning sickness through the entire pregnancy?

Oh, birthday outfits, i just went to Kmart and got a little pooh bear one, or i have a cute little dress and hat from best n less, i guess it depends how cold it's going to be on the day...
Have any of you bought bday prezzies yet?

Hi Cinta, there are HEAPS of ticker sites out there if you google 'baby age tickers' or 'birthday tickers'. Once you find one you like, copy the BBCode (with the URL) and paste it into your signature. Re the talking, it will really vary heaps at this age and they aren't *expected* to have a lot of words, but I think around 3-5 would be considered average. Alister has Mum, Dad, Nan, baa (for bath) and ta-ta (when he waves). he also nods yes when I ask him a question too, like does he want breakfast etc. Alister started walking at 9.5mths, same as his older sisters. Thankfully I didn't get m/s through the entire pg, but the first 15wks were pretty rough for me. Were you sick for most of it?

Arte, what nappies did you get? Alister didn't have croup thankgod. He's just got a really phlegmy cough.

    hi all
in a big rush as i am getting everything ready to go to meb and bali - gotta pick the little man up from FDC in about half an hour..
just wanted to pop on and say the chinese dr was brilliant - i am feeling a lot better about it all and like i can start to manage things for my cycle etc - so good news there! she was fantastic. funnily enough she mentioned my stress levels and needing to manage them... i stopped myself them from asking her to hurry up as i have to come home and then fly to melb for work LOL!!! i agree with her, will have some good chats to DH in BALI (did i mention Bali LOL) around how best to manage it all. the juggling is so hard and we have to get life more in control.
OK gotta go - hi to you all and hugs, back tomorrow hopefully.

Pregpan, that's great news - fingers crossed you can keep those stress levels down I hope you have a great time in Bali!

Leanne, you'll have to post a pic of Olivia with her hair up. I waited so patiently for my girls to have hair long enough to do it up all pretty - they were about 18mths before it was long enough. Lindsay on the other hand could have wore pigtails at 3mths old! How exciting to know it is only 5 more sleeps. Is her party this weekend or next?

**** Gracie that is fantastic!!!! Sorry you still woke up, but way to go Lewis!!! I was excited enough about waking only twice, you must be ecstatic

**Just had to go fish W and his toothbrush out of the dog water**

Leemar, party sounds great! Lucky W is a boy, I would be waiting a loooong time for enough hair to tie up. Bet she looks adorable.

Haley, I read your birth story, that sounds very traumatic! 3 epidurals!

Pregpan, glad your chinese doctor was good, hope you can keep your stress levels down, I am sure there won't be any stress next week in BALI!!

Trill, I got bitti D'lish, I have been thinking about it for ages and read the other day that every single disposable nappy that has ever been used is still sitting at a landfill somewhere! Made me feel guilty.

Cinta, I had bad morning sickness from 8-17 weeks. I just started a new job and spent most of the day in the toilet puking lol

Yay, W's smart trike arrived today. I wonder if I can hold out for two whole weeks lol

    Heya,

Have fun in Bali!! I envy you!!

hmm, morning sickness, i had it up until my darling little one was pulled outta my tummy. i lost weight rather than gain it, had a visit to hospital every 1-2 weeks, oh it was fun...all whilst finishing school haha...
I'm just trying to find out if there's anything more i can do to stop m/s coz i want to have another bub sometime soon.

Chessa was born with heaps of hair, been able to tie it up from 3-4 months i think.

Congrats on the 8 hour sleep! hope u get lots more of those, then u just gotta train urself not to wake up, hehe.

Sherie - nice work on the Gymboree splurge. I got the 30% off and gymbucks as well. Waiting on my package to turn up any day now.
Also heard a great tip about vicks for bubs. Rub it into their FEET. Dunno how this works but mums have sworn by it. Worth a shot anyway.

Cinta - Not too much m/s here. I had mild nausea when bending over and when cooking meat but other than that I was pretty good. Now heartburn, that is a different story. That killed me, ended up spending the last few months of the pregnancy sleeping on the recliner in the lounge room for a bit of relief. As for b'day pressies, I haven't stopped. I've got her so much stuff that I've got to remember where I hid it all. Going to have to tell DH that some of it came from friends hehehe.

Sarah has only just started crawling in the last few weeks and no distinguishable words at all. I think she may be saying mumma when in her cot. It sounds like she is calling for me, I can't wait until she gets more words out.

Pregpan - NO, REALLY...you're going to Bali...I didn't know that!
Have a blast! When my sister went a few years back she wishes that she had taken more AUD$2 coins with her. Balinese melt them down for their jewellery so happily sell things to you for a $2 coin. Don't know if they still do that but maybe worth a shot... Good work on the herbalist today as well, now take care of the stress and relax for Bali....thats right Bali...apparently, you're going this weekend...?!

Rain - Yeah for Lewis . Fingers crossed its a sign of things to come. I hear you on the waking up thing tho. The occasional nights that S sleeps thru I still wake up waiting for her. And because she is in our room with us, I actually listen for any of her noises to put my mind at ease that everything is ok.

I brought S a gorgeous shirt from Best and Less the other day, it sort of fits in with her cupcake themed thing. But it may end up coming down to how the day looks before making the final decision.

Rainy, that's awesome L! WTG - keep up the good sleeping so mummy can learn to sleep again too! LOL BTW saw your gorgeous boy with his fake parents in my letterbox yesterday .

Re the talking, at this age look for them starting to recognise words and don't worry too much about whether they're saying them yet, some kids don't get single, consistent words for another couple of months. They often change the word they are using several times before arriving at one that sticks. They also tend to use one word for several things, ie the word for dog is used for any and every animal LOL. I've got a list of words that they tend to recognise first so I'll post that if anyone is interested.
