As well as the trike, K is going to get a book (we got Snugglepot and Cuddlepie for Christmas and I am planning on getting the whole set of stories that are bound the same for future birthdays and Christmases), some toys for the beach and I am going to hit Little Red Engine in Phillip and get her something from there. I want to get some more toys that we can play with her, eg puzzles or something. She loves stacking cups and putting rings on a pole and her Tupperware Shape O. I've no idea what the rest of the family is getting her, hopefully not too many little toys.

We have concrete edging put all around the garden beds yesterday and it has a black oxide sprinkled on top to give it colour. The cat has walked all through it and now has black paws and there are footprints all through the laundry so she is banished for an uncertain amount of time!

Jealous of your washing machine Trill - ours isn't old, but it has started doing this thing where it gets stuck on the first rinse cycle. So far it has been going for more than 1.5 hours and that was with me pushing the forward button! I think it starts to get unbalanced so it fills up again in an effort to rebalance itself. Which isn't good for our water bill!

MD - glad that everything worked out well with H. well done at losing a kg.

Clare - yay for L's sleeping

Cinta - Cessa was born on K's due date. That would have been very scary, those last little weeks. Do they think she stopped growing because you were so sick?

Nappy rash is looking heaps better. I gave up on Bepanthen (think it will find a new home in the bin) as it was doing nothing. Slapped lots of Amolin on it yesterday which made a big difference as was a day in disposables rather than cloth. My magic cream is Penaten which comes in a blue tin. Waiting for a pharmacy order, I refuse to pay $15 for 55g around here when I can get it over the internet for $22 for 166g! We've done a bit of no nappy time, but with the coldness and the mobility she has now, I'm too scared of the mess!

She worked out yesterday how to open the safety gate. I think it will be right if we tighten it, but this morning she escaped and went and woke up DH while I was getting her breakfast. Poor thing, he couldn't sleep in until 7:15 today!

MM - glad that she is feeling better.

Well we are heading into town once she wakes up. Will do the grocery shopping and then am having lunch with PIL. Will see how we are going for timing and might let them babysit for a little while so I can have a wander around the shops without a pram.
