Thats great Clare!! Hopefully L's sleeping stays in this pattern, or better yet that she knocks that bottle out all together. I am still feeding anywhere between 3 & 5am too.
Well turns out I am definately not psychic ladies, I finally got in touch with my friend who had been out at her mums. No baby yet, but she is due tomorrow so we'll see what happens. She must think I'm a weirdo, I have been seriously stalking her over the past couple of weeks, just so friggen excited for her.
Cinta - We have had a few lost items and other peoples items at daycare too. So annoying isnt it.
Clare- WTG L hope you sleep all night for mummy tonight. Yep Fathers day last year was pretty special for us too as DH got his little girl and his boys and we sort of celebrated it in hospital. Hows your party plans going?
MM- lol I do the same thing with my friends and relations.. Send your friend all the best from us.
Sherie- You would not believe it but I have been looking at the Simpson 9kg too. I have had 2 hoovers and they have been great but simpson has taken over hoover now. I might be getting mine next week.
Hey is it Jazmum's Hannah's Birthday tomorrow or friday.... I hope she is ok and her birthday plans are going along nicely.
Cally- I know what you mean about our babies turning 1... this time last year I was pg for the last time....Leanne Sighs.... OMG the year has gone so fast its hard to believe she will be 1 on Sunday... The boys and I have been singing Happy Birthday to her and she claps her hands and laughs.
MD- hope all went well at the dieticion today.
Good night to all and sweet dreams to all our mumma's and Babies
Cinta so pleased for you it all turned out ok in the end, must've been scary for a bit!
Well the dietician's was good, I actually lost a kilo which prolly means I beat you Clare at scarfing down unnecessary extra food - as I've not changed what I'm eating that much . Anyway that's good news I spose as hopefully it will be easy to keep it up, kwim?
I feel so much better now I'm off the choc. I've actually got some in my cupboard (I feel better knowing it's there like a trusty friend in my hour of need LOL) but I haven't needed to eat it. It's like it's out of my system so I don't need a fix, seriously addictive stuff LOL.
H news - saw the exec teacher and no even tho Hannah is her own unique (and sometimes strange) individual there is no reason for the class to be treating her as they have. It turns out other chn in the class identified the problem and said how unfair they thought it was and so she was able to talk about how bystander behaviour is just as unacceptable as actual bullying. Anyway it seems H has a new little group of friends and the teacher is going to keep an eye on her and check in at regular intervals. So all good for now, and we're not going to let it get bad like it was again.
Hey I'm dying to know what everyone is getting their bubbas for birthdays besides trikes (don't pretend they are all getting just ONE pressy cos I won't believe you). My parents have asked what E would like for her birthday and my mind has gone blank. Need some inspiration!!
*Sherie does the happy dance upon hearing Clare's news of Miss L* That's great news! I hope this is the last of it for her and the first of more good sleeping. You know, I did consider buying a twin tub at one stage because I always recycle the rinse water for the next wash, so having the twin would make that easier in a way, but they just don't make the tubs big enough.
Leanne, that's eerie LOL. Definately get that one though. I don't expect it to last as long as my old one did (11years) because of all the electronics but after getting so long out of my old one, I think I'll still come out in front in the washing machine stakes.
Marydean, I am so very happy for H and the outcome of the meeting. I hope the 'mean girls' were suitably ashamed of themselves when made to sit through that in class and hear how everyone said it was unfair. You'll have to get us updated on her new friends and how she settles with them.
H, Poo! about there not being any baby news. I love hearing about people having babies LOL.
OK, as for birthday presents, this year we're bucking the trend we usually followed with the older three. We'd always gotten a piece of furniture for them - Lindsay and Paige got a toybox and Erin got a wooden table and chair set and they all had some smaller things to unwrap. I did want to get Alister a bookcase, but there just wont be enough room anywhere to put it, so we are just going with toys. I laybyed ages ago for him for Christmas a massive John Deere dump truck and a smaller JD tractor and a LIttle Tikes truck so I will get that out of layby early and give it to him. I did want to get him a Radio Flyer red wagon, but OMG! they are so hard to get here in Australia! I found one on a US site for $30! but the postage to get it here was $290 LMAO. So I will have to keep looking and hope I can get one for Christmas for him as I think they are fab - I always wanted to get one for the kids.
hey everyone
been so tired still but had no opportunity to go to the drs yet.. pretty sure its just iron anyway, think af is on its way so dont think i am utd this time never know but i dont think so.. probably a good thing since i am addicted to drinking sugar free vs every morning and have been so tired already!
dp and i had a fight last night lol over nothing, that or i just cant figure out what it was really about... he got asha up this morning coz he left late for work and i got to sleep in till 9 so i thought he was over it but then he didnt kiss me goodbye so i have no idea.. we have dinner tonight for his brothers birthday with his dad and his wife and brother and his girlfriend i dont know if i am gonna go and play happy families for his sake when he wouldnt even give me a kiss goodbye.. petty i know but hey..
sherie - 290 postage lol i hate it when the postage costs more than the item itself!! ive bought some dvds online for dp that he wanted for fathers day they were 11 and 15 pounds each but the postage was like 30 pounds maybe cant quite remember now anyway it ended up costing me just over $80 au to get these two bloody dvds lol he better appreciate them, hes been winging about wanting them for a while now though so its pretty safe lol...
md - sounds like H's school has a good attitude glad its all working out well as for presents weve got asha a cabage patch doll with her birthday on the birth certificate, pretty cute its a little boy one.. as well as we really want to get her a small guitar or ukelele as she is always playing with dps guitar and we think shed really like that.. she might end up with some clothes and books as well lol but we do have to pay for her party which is getting way out of hand so i am not sure yet lol.. my mum and her husband are getting her play equipment for the backyard.. not sure about everyone else..
leanne - lol a little girl for fathers day how can you beat that?? hehe
mm - damn no baby news lol @ u stalking her, i get really excited too when other ppl are havin their bubbas haha..
cinta - hope the sleeping keeps going well!!
As well as the trike, K is going to get a book (we got Snugglepot and Cuddlepie for Christmas and I am planning on getting the whole set of stories that are bound the same for future birthdays and Christmases), some toys for the beach and I am going to hit Little Red Engine in Phillip and get her something from there. I want to get some more toys that we can play with her, eg puzzles or something. She loves stacking cups and putting rings on a pole and her Tupperware Shape O. I've no idea what the rest of the family is getting her, hopefully not too many little toys.
We have concrete edging put all around the garden beds yesterday and it has a black oxide sprinkled on top to give it colour. The cat has walked all through it and now has black paws and there are footprints all through the laundry so she is banished for an uncertain amount of time!
Jealous of your washing machine Trill - ours isn't old, but it has started doing this thing where it gets stuck on the first rinse cycle. So far it has been going for more than 1.5 hours and that was with me pushing the forward button! I think it starts to get unbalanced so it fills up again in an effort to rebalance itself. Which isn't good for our water bill!
MD - glad that everything worked out well with H. well done at losing a kg.
Clare - yay for L's sleeping
Cinta - Cessa was born on K's due date. That would have been very scary, those last little weeks. Do they think she stopped growing because you were so sick?
Nappy rash is looking heaps better. I gave up on Bepanthen (think it will find a new home in the bin) as it was doing nothing. Slapped lots of Amolin on it yesterday which made a big difference as was a day in disposables rather than cloth. My magic cream is Penaten which comes in a blue tin. Waiting for a pharmacy order, I refuse to pay $15 for 55g around here when I can get it over the internet for $22 for 166g! We've done a bit of no nappy time, but with the coldness and the mobility she has now, I'm too scared of the mess!
She worked out yesterday how to open the safety gate. I think it will be right if we tighten it, but this morning she escaped and went and woke up DH while I was getting her breakfast. Poor thing, he couldn't sleep in until 7:15 today!
MM - glad that she is feeling better.
Well we are heading into town once she wakes up. Will do the grocery shopping and then am having lunch with PIL. Will see how we are going for timing and might let them babysit for a little while so I can have a wander around the shops without a pram.
Just wanted to post a quickie on here to say YIPPEE...400 POSTS FOR ME!!! Not anywhere near as many as some of you other chatty ladies but seeing as I went AWOL for a while not a bad effort.
As for presents, well smart trike of course, as well as Gymboree clothes, shes got a little fisher price my first doll that fits in the walker/stroller (my sister has got that for her), plus some bath toys (came today in mail from sendatoy) and...oh damn, forgot what else. I'll have to pull it all out and check. I just keep finding things that I love. I'm seriously considering the ladybug wheely bug but might hold off until Christmas for her.
Can't do personals atm, have no brain or memory. Off to baby clinic to weigh S...
Birthday Pressies- Ok I know I am going to be different but the smart trike is for a chrissy pressie... for liv's birthday we got a music chair (sits in chair and has a book that play music on the side), a Pony scooter thingie (you know sits on and scootes with feet around the house) and a Learning purse and a push walker that has a basket in the front for her dolly... her pony scooter thingie has a basket in the front for a dolly too. So Cute. OMG 3 more sleeps....
Kate- Congrats on the 400 post...
Cally- Glad the nappy rash is looking better. Liv gets it and I put cansten cream on it.
Noni- Bummer on the fight.
MD- I am glad H is ok at school now. It breaks my heart when kids are bullied.
Kate, forgot to say I read your birth story I had that indian doctor for one of my appointments, I was sooo glad he wasn't around when W was born because it is really helpful to be able to understand your doctor What is your sisters name? Maybe she was one of the midwifes I had - I had two good ones and one stupid one that tried to get me on a fit ball when I couldn't even lift my arm for blood pressure (too tired and too much gas lol)
Trill, your new washing machine sounds great. We have a little 5.5kg one, the IL's have a 9kg one and are willing to swap but we live in different islands so I don't see it happening.
MD, that is great news about H. Hope it keeps up. I think she and I would have been great friends, I was a nice but strange child too - I collected cat food boxes, I packed a sad if mum got the cat biscuits in bags instead lol I don't know WTF I was thinking We seriously aren't getting much more than the trike, maybe one good inside toy and a couple of cheapy things but that is about it.
Rainy - how is L's sleep going? Don't despair if you are back to many wake ups, somewhere deep in his mind a little light has just gone on and he has learnt that he can actually sleep without you. It may take some time, but you should hopefully see an upward trend now. Is he about 10.5 months? That is when W started to improve (and another bub but I can't remember who), there must be some sort of developmental leap around then?
Noni, we are thinking of getting a ukelele too, W loves to play with DH's guitar
Cally, I forgot that you use cloth, what sort do you use?
I think I might make an offer on a house today. We went to look at it yesterday and it is much bigger than the company house we have, and they are about to build a house on the back section here so we won't have a yard and will have to listen to construction for months. We have also had a couple of problems with the housing manager here and DH doesn't want it getting back to his boss. The other day the housing manager came and asked if I would be home next friday so they could put up some net curtains. I said I wouldn't be here and asked if we could do it another time, then he snapped "No" and asked if he could just come in and do it anyway. I said I didn't really like people in my house when I'm not home and he said 'you are making things really difficult', then shoved his car in reverse and took off!
Hi everyone
Slacko here again
I haven't been able to read through the posts but just wanted to pop in and say hi.
My little bubba is going to be ONE tomorrow.
She's such a little cutiepatootie - some of her most recent achievements are:
climbing on top of chairs and standing up
escaping out of the highchair
escaping out of the shopping trolley
eating rocks out in the garden
walking a couple of steps
saying ' uh-oh' when she drops something and 'ta' when she is given something.
she pretty much weaned herself last week. She would pull off and say 'guck' and then give me a little bite. I was terrified she was going to bite me each feed and i was quite tense, which probably didn't help with my flow.
We are having a party on Sunday (joint one for her and Zoe who is turning 5 )
I've just stuffed the Pinata's with lollie bags and have bought everything to fill the party bags. Pass the parcel is organised and i'm making a number 1 and 5 cake. I've ordered helium balloons and spent way too much money all around lol.
I sat up and put the Smart trike together last night. At about 11:30 i gave up and will leave if for dh tonight. We also bought her a talking telephone - she puts just about anything up to her ear and pretends to talk.
anyway, i'm so sorry for the selfish post, my plan is to jump back on here next week and catch up with how you're all going.
Arte - I'm sure you would've been good friends, in fact I'm pretty sure we'd all get on really well in IRL! LOL at the cat food boxes. DD collects boxes endlessly too, she's always planning some creative project with them. She hides them in her room and every few months I tow them all out to the recycling while she's at school. I've got my fingers crossed for your offer, how exciting, you must PM me a piccy if you're successful!!
Loving hearing what all our bubs are getting for pressies. Leanne we are giving E the pink pony ride-on too!! It was the little dolly basket on the front that was cinched the deal here! Soooo girly, never bought anything so pink like that for DD1. LOL. E's also getting a handmade dolly from the markets. On one side she is sleeping and on the other side she is awake, you swap the bonnet to hide the face you don't want LOL. So cute. She's also getting a mousie walker wagon and matching boikido blocks. And I've got about a zillion books too. Can't help myself.
Sherie, the Little Red Engine Shop in Phillip that Cally mentioned has the Radio Flyer things. I'm sure (but not 100%) I saw a wagon there recently You could ring them and see if they'd post it to you, or I could pick it up and post it if you need me to. I love those old fashioned wagons, DD1 had a nasty plastic one but used it for years and years.
Kate well done on hitting 400! You've been making up for your AWOL time since you've been back on LOL.
Cally glad the nappy rash is looking better. I've found Amolin to be consistently the best, only rarely have I resorted to using Canesten and sigmacort together. I love that you'll be buying the set of books for K. She'll appreciate that when she's much older!
Noni sorry to hear you've had one of those horrible over-nothing fights. Is DH going ok or is he having issues with depression again? I heard somewhere that fish oil is supposed to work wonders, maybe give that a go. I've been thinking I might start taking it or some EPO on a regular basis too, I keep forgetting my preggy vits and my skin has turned horrible, it looks like I have acne or something. Ukelele is an excellent idea, she'd love that !!
ETA - Jazmum I'm sooo excited for little HR!! Enjoy the day tomorrow if we don't see you again before then!!
hello everyone - so much going on in here, i dont think i van even TRY to do personals LOL!!! Will answer what i remember and so sorry if i miss anyone/anything!
Jazmum - SO WONDERFUL to hear from you and enjoy the party!! It sounds GREAT! xxx
Sherie - i also love those radio flyer toys... and thanks MD for the tip, will pop into little red engine when i get back and get N one (maybe, if I dont spend too much in Bali!)
Noni - sorry about the fight, we all have them... did you go to the dinner? how is asha these days? more settled? have you been having some mama time?
Rainy - how you feeling??? how is L? have all the things you boght arrived and how did you hide them from DP???
Kate - congratson 400 posts... and may i say it is so nice to have you back! I missed you when you went AWOL!
Speaking of AWOL - WHERE IS RENEE????? Come back!!!! I miss you and want to hear how rory is!
I also really mis Queenie - MD are you still in touch with her?? Pls tell her i say hi and hope all is well with her and S. I miss ella too, but i dont think she has been on for AGES!
Geez I sound all nostalgic!!
For N's bday I havent bought a thing yet would you believe??? Dont worry I have been scoping things out - think i will get him a wheely bug and maybe a wooden walker with blocks or something like that. decided not to go too overbroard this yr as he wont know much.. and he will get lots from other people. My mum bought him a rocking horse which is on its way to us now.. and i know my SIL has also sent something...i love a musial idea - love the eukelele idea and may also get one of them and/or a wooden drum.. N LOVES music and both our families are v into music so i guess it is inevitable that i will have a house full of noise!
Having a good tme in melb, work has been busy but N is in such good spirits and so much fun.. have also benn bringing him into bed with me each night when he wakes around 11 or 12 for snuggles - hmmm is that for me or him??? it is lovely!! Busting to get to BALI.... 2 sleeps to go!!
Art - My sisters name is Aynsley, she would have been 5-6 months pregnant at the time. Looks heaps like me if you check out my site or facebook. So many great middies up there but then you always get one who is set in their ways and don't listen to you. Dr M was a great dr throughout the pregnancy. I had to visit him about S turning breech at one point (possibly having to do the manual turning thing). It was just I was so emotional that I couldn't hear anything or concentrate. Luckily I had my sister there to decipher and translate into laymans terms.
MD - Here I am going on about 400 posts and I look at yours and see 4000 approaching. :woot: lol
JaZaH - for H weaning. But for all her accomplishments. Good luck with the party and HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH for tomorrow (in case I forget)
Well I've got a woohoo or two today. Had to take my car in to get a remote control beeper coded (so now I can beep into my car instead of having to go to drivers door and turn the key twice to open S door or the boot - first woohoo) and had a walk around town as I waited. I called into my favourite toy shop and low and behold guess what I see in the front window... (suspense filled music)...a LADYBUG WHEELYBUG. Yippee, I was stoked. After hearing about them on here I searched online and found them. I was going to get one for S for Christmas of the internet but can instead put one on layby for her. Also found the Boikido stuff there, so am going to get the percussion table thing and the blocks and oh god, i dunno what else. So theres woohoo 2!
Whoops better go and do another load of washing...BBL
Edit - PP Thanks for the kind remark. It's nice to be missed lol. I think its beautiful that you have snuggles together, S and I have a play in bed together before breakfast and if she ends up going back to sleep she stays in bed with me.

: Missed Pregpan in personals
lots going on. just briefly, L has been sleeping really well. will go for about 6 or 7 hours now without waking. it's great. i've decided not to go to sleep school. we just decided that we were on a bit of a good run atm and didn't want to confuse things iykwim? i know there are people desperately waiting on a list to get in so i didn't feel comfortable taking up a place when my heart's not really in it.
did everyone see L with his fake mum and dad? what did you think md??
i didn't think it was a very good shot of L- i suppose the mum and dad looked good though.
i got my cradle rock package- ohhh gorgeous. the oobi sizes seem to be a lot more generous this season. i bought him some boots in size 2-3 years and they are wayyy too big- he'll grow into them though. he got the cutest 2 sets of shorts omg!!! so far dp hasn't cottoned on- mainly cos my dad bought L a heap of clothes from myer the other day so i've just kinda mixed them all in together iykwim? dp is clueless about these things anyway. i can go to the hairdresser and get a full cut and colour and he won't even notice.
md- glad evrything seems to be getting a little better for H. have you been happy with that exec teacher?
pp- enjoy bali. i miss queenie and ella too. i miss liddle pixie as well. i was wondering about renee today- i might write her a msg on fb.
arte- do you mean you're going to buy a house? i'm confused!
what are you girls getting dh/dp's for fathers day????
Omg, i can't believe u guys have all gotten smart trikes!!! i got one of those fisher price kitchen set things....double sided...a few wooden toys that we've picked up, some new clothes...nothing rly spectacualr...I didch dolls! I love them, they're just adorable! I might get one...my partner isnt happy with the kitchen thing, he wants to get something different...tad spoilt by her daddy...
I'm attempting to plan a bday party at a park....i've spent so much money already and i haven't even ordered her a cake yet! GAH! I might get a cousin of mine to make one, she's quite nifty at that sorta stuff.
Chessa was and still is extremely stubborn, she wants it she gets it! or she falls asleep trying hehe...nah, she was an extremely strong premie. The midwife who helped deliver her asked me if i was very strong....i was just thinking...do i look strong with my flimsy arms? lol...I'm not the strong one, daddy is, why's that???
we were then told that Chessa was the physically strongest premie she has ever delivered! WOAH!!
Happy birthday Hannah for tomoro!
Congrats on the accomplishments, climbing on chairs and highchairs, chessa's doing that too, she thinks it's safe to climb from one rocking recliner to another....hmm...not when she ends up on her bottom on the ground hehe..(not the high) then she does it again!! I caught her this morning trying to climb from my bed to the bed side....:S
Firstly HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY HANNAH HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY TO ZOE
Rainy- Congrats to L for sleeping well
Cinta- Party in the Park sounds great
Pregpan- 1 more sleep till bali.... Have a wonderful time yippeeee
Ok so today I made a cake for Olivia daycare it was sort of a trial for sunday and it turned out ok. I is hot pink number 1 with her name running downwards. The boys thought it was great when they woke up this morning and decided the would get spoons for a taste test... lucky i got to them in time....
Well better go as I am only at work for half day cause I gotta get home and start to get things organised for Sunday.
Good morning everyone
thought i would jump on while Hanny is asleep.
Thanks for the birthday wishes for my little bubbashwubba I can't believe how fast the year has flown. I was in labour this time last year, trying my hardest to hold off using any pain relief.
We decorated our lounge room - every birthday we set up a pop-up tent and make a path leading up to it. I put party hats on the dolls and teddies and put the presents in the tent. I guess it will be our tradition for many years to come.
The girls loved the smart trike more than Hannah I think! I had to take it to school drop off this morning, 'cause they wanted to show off the birthday girl. I made Pikelets for brekky as a special treat, and Han had her first taste of Honey - she loved it.
Hi Cinta - I love the name Chessa - it's sweet.
Leanne - I hope your day goes smoothly on Sunday. I'll have a drink - (ooh i can now that i'm not breastfeeding) and think of you, maybe you'll be enjoying one too.
Rainy - I saw L in the catalogue - he still looks gorgeous - even the profile shot.
That's fantastic news that he is sleeping so well. Have you been doing anything differently. (sorry if you've already mentioned it - i haven't read any previous posts)
Pregpan -i know what you mean about enjoying the snuggles. I actually don't mind if Hannah wakes during the night - because i snuggle into her bed with her. (i've just put flannalette sheets on too so it's so cosy.
