i have been going through trying to add as many of you to my F/B!!! so if you see a dodgy 'Clare...' in the request thingy it's just me....
But onto more important things: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope that you have a great day with loads of paper to rip...always the best bit...
Kate: IKWYM about living with the family. we lived with my mum for about 6 months before we moved to fiji. it sounded good at the time as it would allow us to save cash, but...oh man, once you have moved out it is soo different when you move back!! unfortunately mum didnt do ANY cooking! LOL! maybe that was the problem!!
oohh the psychic expo! that sounds awesome! i wanna get my tarot done...watched 'Carnivale' on DVD recently and have been inspired.
PP: if you are anything like me, you'll be a teary mess!! and wanting to do it all over again!
Anyway best be off as this is my work day and i need to try to get something done to feel good about the weekend.
MM, hope you have a good flight and a really fun trip!!! Hope you woke up a lovely tanned babe and not looking like a giant carrot lol
Rainy, how have you been? Has the morning sickness cleared up yet? How is L's sleeping? W has been waking up heaps, he has a new front tooth and what looks like molars coming up at the moment. He has also decided that 6am is his new wake up time, so I am feeling a bit zombie at the moment.
Pregpan, I am so nostalgic lately, I just can't believe that this time last year I was holding a brand new bubby. I really want to do it again!
MD, you are very welcome We have a traditional NZ slice made from Eskimos if you want to have a try:
Lolly Cake **warning - Does not have the heart foundation tick**
100g butter
1/2 can condensed milk
250g crushed malt biscuits
1 packet of chopped eskimos
dessicated coconut
Melt the butter and condensed milk together, add in malt biscuits and eskimos. Shape into a log and roll in coconut.
Variations: use gingernuts instead of malt biscuits, jelly lollies/choc buttons instead of eskimos, roll into balls instead of a log.
Ozstar, do you do photography?
This morning W climbed out of our bed himself and went into his room to play with his toys, so cute.
Happy bithday RORY!! What a sweetheart, I've loved hearing all about his developments over the past year Renee.
Arte - LOL Yes I am a CARROT!!! Its pretty orange, but I scrubbed it a bit just before and its not too bad now. How cute of Will climbing out of his cot. Actually I am glad we arent at that stage yet hehe.
Clare & Kate - Oh no no no, I could never live with my inlaws. Not even my own parents I dont think. Kate how do you find your MIL with S, I know mine would completely take over!
Just a quick note, took M to the doc this morn for her last check of her ears. One is clear but the other is still a little red. So we will probably have a bit of a rough descent with her. Have to dose her up on panadol poor love. I was shocked though as the doc said if they hadnt improved she would have advised us to post pone our trip or find someone to look after M. God is that being dramatic, I didnt know it was that bad? WHOOPS.
Happy birthday to our Rory!! Hope you have a lovely day!
Arte, oh I'm beside myself with excitement at the thought of a traditional lolly cake (have been trying to say that in my best kiwi accent LOL). DD1 will have to be involved in the making, too I think!
Arte- the only eskimos i know wear fur and live in on the ice..... i pressume you kiwi's don't cook them!
is it a flavoured biscuit of sorts?
Leanne- it's not so bad, going to be 23 tomorrow.............woot! Bring on spring.
Down at Mum nd Dad's and Lu has pulled about 50 books off the book shelf, that is not such a bad thing, except mum has thousands of books and they are all in alphabetical order! Do you think she'll notice if i just shove em back???? :P
LOL Ange, just shove them back and hope she never notices! Eskimos are a lolly, like a harder marshmellow. It is dangerous to cook and eat real eskimos because we look pretty similar to them during the winter and we wouldn't want any incidents lol
