Happy Birthday Katie
Happy Birthday princess Katie!!
hi girls
just wanted to let you all know that i'm still alive!
happy birthday to all the bubs i've missed- Elisabeth, Leila, Will, Rory, Katie is that everyone? when is Alister's birthday?
typing with one hand right now as L is lying on my lap having a snooze
bbl to talk more-
Katie says thank you for all the birthday wishes!
And belated Happy Birthday's to Will, Elisabeth and Rory!!
I've been so busy this week (although looking back I can't remember why I was so busy) and just haven't had a chance to pop on. Hasn't helped that K's great 1.25 hour day sleeps have shortened to 45 minutes and she now wakes at 5:45 - so she does 2 hours less sleep each day! Ridiculous.
90210 - I'm old enough to have watched it, I used to love it and even though the new show is trashy, I'll keep watching it!
MM - hope your flight is going well.
Pregpan - glad that Bali was such a hit, lucky you having a holiday, I'm hanging out for our 2 nights in the Blue Mountains in January!
We had our honeymoon in Fiji (Tokoriki), it was great, would love to go back (maybe for the 10th anniversary)
Clare - OMG, I can't believe you have lights for your pram! I want to see a pic!
Katie had a lovely birthday, it was so warm today, she spent most of the evening wandering around in just her nappy! She had the Number 1 cake from the Women's Weekly book (the old one I got on Ebay) and had a piece with chocolate frosting (no smarties though). Ended up putting her straight in the bath afterwards, she was so filthy! Then we went down to the beach and had a run around in the sand. She got a bee wheely bug from Granny, and lots of other lovely presents from the family. My sister got her a wooden puzzle with her name on it, looks awesome.
Trillian - great samplers, I do crosstitch too, but haven't had a chance the last year. I got a huge beatrix potter one for K, but the way I'm going it will end up being for her first child!
Katie's christening is tomorrow so I better head off to bed. Couldn't sleep this morning with all the excitement for the birthday!
Hi there Rainy good to hear your still with us. Hows the pregnancy going?
Trillian the crossstitch is beautiful.
ETA Cally sounds like Katie had a lovely day!
I am very bored tonight, I was meant to go to an engagement party but really cant be bothered dressing up and driving in. Instead we had pizza and ribs polished off with a few beers and a bit of footy. I spent tones in Target today and got L some summer shoes, new swimmers and two new hats. Now I am banned from buying him anything else, lucky we didnt have a girl I reckon I would be broke.
Cally, sounds like Katie had a great day. Good luck tomorrow with the christening.
Rainy, I am soo jealous of your ticker, I want another baby!!!
Ozstar, I am like that, I complain that we never do anything then when we get the chance I can't be bothered lol. Did you do photography as a self business or were you working for someone? What sort of training do you need? I am really interested in doing photography as a job when I go back to work but I can't seem to find any courses (not that there is much on offer here in the sticks lol)
Lol Arte, there are a few you can do from home. I did it at school and then got my diploma from a private arts college after school. I worked with someone as well as for myself. If I get back into it then I will just work for myself from home. I have all the equipment. I went looking for a new camera today actually. You should do it, its loads of fun.
Hi just wanted to pop on quickly while the party cakes are baking to wish Katie a very happy birthday! :happybirthday: Cally it sounds like you had a lovely day, hope all goes well with the christening tomorrow, we'll be waiting for photos ;)!
Well behind schedule with the party preparations, I gave up this afternoon and just sat on the floor and played with E. Getting zen on the loungeroom floor!
Trill, gorgeous cross stitches, I'm dying to do some sewing soon, I get everything out then something happens and I have to put it away again! Ah, maybe once the birthday excitement has died down...
Noni how you going hun? in case you need it.
Rainy it's A's birthday on the 18th.
Happy Birthday Noah
and Happy Birthday Aglinra's William
Happy brthday for yesterday Katie,
and hapy birthday today to Noah and William.
How gorgeous was the weather in Melb yesterday? Went to a surprise baby shower for a fellow BB girl, it was a lovely day, but i was exhausted by the time i got home last night.
Got a 31st lunch today. TBH i feel like curling up on the couch, but better go get sorted.
Arte- my folk head to NZ tomorrow- i am very jelous, wish i was going. Tried to get in suicase, but big fat guts wouldn't allow it! ;)
Ange, where abouts are your parents heading to? The sun is shining, people are out mowing the lawns (DH included), summer is on its way.
After all my complaining about how low the itti bittis sit, I have decided to buy a pack of them lol. I figure they may not last until he is toilet trained but they are a nice fit now and they are really reliable - I had a couple of leaks in the first few days but now that they have had a few more washes they are really good (and they are very cute!).
Ozstar, it is my semi-plan to set up some kind of studio from home when W is a bit older. I would like to use the time I have now to train. I would have thought that photography would be something you could do as an extramural course but everything seems to be on site. Do you know of any courses that you can do online? I have an SLR camera, just the entry level Cannon 400D but I love it.
Nth Island Arte- Mum has a conference in Auckland, so they'll be based there. They'll head up to Bay of Islands to visit some friends. Then usually Dad trips around while mum works! Have you been to Catherdral cove on the coromandel Arte? I love that place. I just love NZ though!
Ittits are pretty reliable. Plumbers crack is all fashion these days Arte. Do they do package deals on that NZ site? Happy to post them on if it works out cheaper from here. ;)
Happy Birthday Noah And William!!
hey there everyone,
sorry ive been mia for sooo long ive been soo busy lately. Ashas a real handful atm getting into everything!! yesterday she climbed into the tv cabinet and got stuck!! shed taken all the dvds and videos out and climbed in and because there is only half of the back now (its old and was broken off to fit cords through) she was in there with her head and arms sticking through the back oh god i nearly died with laughter but had a little panic about not being able to get her out lol i managed to pull her out but it wasnt easy...
ummmm, oh weve gotton rid of th dummy during the day time now, with her having four front teeth for a while now i was a bit worried about them getting damaged by it so 4 days ago now i just decided she wouldnt have it except for night time sleeps.. shes been fine, little bit of winging but really i think she was only having it because it was there.. shes growing up.. sniff sniff lol.. she has her morning bottle with milk now too instead of formula and shes doing really well.. oh and did i tell you shes grown out of her allergy to disposable nappies??? if u remember she used to have rashes that made her bum bleed? well shes back in them now ( she had a fungal thing i couldnt get rid of so i tried putting her in them) and as much as i do love the cloth i have to say not having to spray crap off a dirty nappy and just putting it in the bin is a bit of a relief(i know its bad lol and lazy)...
still only the 4 teeth and still not walking but shes very very close to lots of new words, shes often copying sounds we make, shes very cheeky sometimes she kinda does it like shes teasing us!!
getting very excited about her birthday weve orderd helium balloons and i went shopping with my mum the other day and we bought lots of cute stuff.. because shes having a garden theme party we just went to the reject shop and bought lots of really cute little stuff for not much money.. little miniature buckets and a watering can there butterflies and insects that stick in ur garden and their wings move lots of cute little stuff like that for decorations.. its going to be really big lol shes got so much family the invite had 60 odd people on it so far around 40 have rsvpd lol a bit scary but i know she will have a great day, she really loves being around people now and shes got quite a few friends around her age now too which is good..
my best friend from melbourne comes on friday!!!! shes coming to stay for two weeks so she will be here to help me with ashas party which i am so happy about! id be really upset if she wasnt here since we are so close even since she moved to melbourne its been good that we can still stay close.. we might be going to melbourne next month for her birthday and her sons naming day too gosh busy busy...
ummmm what else lol trying to do a big update while ashas playing nicely with her toys lol not too often that happens these days she just gets into everything else instead!
ohhh well i am going to a bridal expo today because guess what??? dp and i are finally planning our wedding!! it will be mid to late october next year, we are still waiting to work out a few things before we set the date. very exciting!! we are just going to have a small regisrty wedding with only our two best friends to be the witnesses but afterwards we plan to have like a ****tail reception with a cake etc, nothing too fancy coz thats just not us iykwim? with all that going on looks like the next bubba wont be ttc until ashas over 2 lol because i dont wanna be fat for the wedding lol!! i thought it was going to be sooner but i do feel good about that as an age difference because with asha at almost 3 when the baby comes along it will be easier to explain things to her then it would be now..
congrats to everyone thats had their bubbas turn one, you made it the first year!! i really cant believe its been a year already!!
md - thanks for asking after me, sorry ive just been super busy everythings fine tho :)
ok i better go asha really smells!!! hope everyones having a great weekend!!!
Noni, sounds like Asha is doing fantastically! Congrats on the wedding plans too. We had ours at a winery in Nelson, it was lovely. We weren't very fancy, we spent the afternoon doing photos then had an evening ceremony followed directly by a meal. Did the whole thing including our airfares to NZ for under $5K
Ange, we were meant to go up to the Bay of Islands for christmas decided to go down to Southland (bottom of the South Island) to see the ILs to save them a trip up because FIL just had a hip replacement. We are going down there in a couple of weeks for a visit too. I haven't ever been to Auckland or the coromandel. I am from the bottom of the North Island and DH is from the bottom of the south - hopefully now we are back we can spend some time looking around NZ more because while we were in Australia all our hoildays were spent visiting our home towns.
The coromandel is lovely, so is the Bay of Islands, although i have only sailed up there, never driven. You should definately go! My fave placein NZ is Wanaka though, i love it down by the lake.
Congrats on organising your wedding nonie- we had more of a big party than a wedding and i loved it! Wish i was planning mine again.
Still in my PJ's and need to leave soo, better get off this PC!
happy birthday noah and william, hope you're having a beautiful day :)
i've been so mia lately, dp and i have been really fighting quite badly. we had a huge fight on thursday night and i spent most of friday crying and very upset. i think it's a mixture of pg hormones making me overreact and have no tolerance towards him, but he has also been a complete ar33hole. its not good.
anyway, things seem a lot better today. it's very hard cos we usually don't fight at all, ive had a lot of insecurity lately. this happened to me last pg too and we had a whopper fight then too. i think things will be ok, i just need to not be so sensitive towards him, not let him affet me so much. was anyone else a little crazy, insecure and jealous when they were pg?
noni- congrats on organising your wedding. sounds like how i want my wedding. what will you wear?
ange- have fun at your birthday today. eat lots for me :)
arte- you're so good how you rememeber everyone's bday. how do you do it clever girl? yes my ticker is pretty cool isnt it? i feel so pg now, like it's really real you know?
i went to big w the other dya and bought a maternity top and maternity pants. they are so nice! i can't believe it, all for $50.
now, just a quick question.....when i find out, do you guys want to know the sex of my baby? or do you want me to keep it a surprise for you all????
rain - gonna wear a simple white ****tail style dress.. ive already chosen it hehe just gotta get my arms a bit thinner coz its strapless..
and i wanna know the sex!!!
Rainy, TELL US!!! I really want to know, remember that I am living through you with your pregnancy until I can have one of my own lol. Sorry to hear you and your DP have been fighting, when I was preg was about the only time we didn't fight LMAO. We very nearly broke up when we got back to NZ, all the stress was too much and we took it out on each other :( As for remembering birthdays, my mush brain can't handle that but I still have a list in my diary that I wrote down last year as everyone popped.
Ange, I spent a summer during my uni days working on an orchard in Cromwell just down the road from Wanaka and Queenstown. We used to go for a drive over there on our days off and go kayaking on the lake or Puzzleworld etc. Those were the days....
We just went for a bushwalk, W fell asleep in his carrier pack so DH decided to walk home. I think it is about 5km so I am not expecting them any time soon lol. We let William out for a little break at a picnic area and he picked a flower and then gave it to me, he is so cute.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO NOAH AND WILLIAM!! i HOPE YOUR HAVING A WONDERFUL DAY.
Rainy I soooo wanna know the sex. Sorry to hear about you and DH fighting, hormones are a funny thing aren't they. Have you got a little belly yet? Like Arte I am living through you and Ange lol.
Noni so much going on in your life. Yay for planning a wedding and a party.
Arte I will have a look around and pm you some good courses. Everything is soooo much cheaper then when I bought it all 10 years ago I cant believe it.
Happy Birthday Noah, you spunky little dude! I hope you're having a great day today.
And Happy Birthday to William, I hope you're having a wonderful day little man.
G, for you hun, sounds like you really need it ATM. I get a bit precious too when I'm pg, so I can relate. I hope things work themselves out for you both.
Happy Birthday to Noah and William - hope you are both having lovely days.
Rainy - Sorry you and DH are fighting a bit. We do more when I am tired, I get more snappy. Would probably have had a big one this morning over her sleeping bag if we hadn't had people over! Can you sit down and have a chat later? And I want to know the sex.
Noni - Congratulations on planning your wedding. I'm sure it will be a lovely day.
Christening went well, she was ready to hop into the font, I think she wanted a bath! The house is a bit of a mess and I am pretty tired (she woke at 4:52 this morning and even though she went back to sleep after a feed for 1.25 hour, I didn't) so am glad the weekend is over. Although it does mean that my return to work day is looming closer (tuesday week)
Hi Girls!!
Sorry i have been mia as well!!!
happy birthday to Noah and William!!!!
R: we had MASSIVE fights; mostly in the first tri, then we had a beauty just before our 1st ante natal class so was in the 3rd tri...the first ones were def me getting all insecure and narky. and in the 3rd it was DH. in retrospect i think he was a bit scared of going to the class, but we had this yucky fight IN PUBLIC!! and of course i was a blithering mess...
i soooooo wanna know!!!!:D
Noni: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! how exciting! i wish we had of waited a bit longer after L was born, just so we could have partied more! ohhh we need piccies of the dress!LOL
Cally: so glad the Christening went well! LOL about the water baby!
how many days are you going back to?
Arte: what a special flower that must have been!!!
AFM: well had a crappy day. DH is sick and likes to remind me ALL THE TIME. i mean, i was sick all last week and the sky didnt fall, so whats the frikken diff? at least he sleeps at night!
sorry vent over...:D
also went to baby bunting today. had to buy summer sleeping bag. and also L's trick of dropping the cot side is becoming perilous, so also checked out cots. am looking at simple, small ones that convert to beds...soooo, we both like the leander and the stokke. anyone got these??? and what do they reckon??? i think i'll ask in the nursery thread as well....hhhmmmmm
aaawww thanks for all your support guys. glad to hear i'm not the only crazy psycho preggo woman- i just seem to get a lot more upset and angry. prolly doesnt help that i haven't had a full nights sleep in almost 12 months- not even one night!
everything is working out much better today. dp just doesn't respond well to drama. trying to get sympathy or compassion out of him is like trying to get blood from a stone. i love his hard manlyness in someways, iykwim? but sometimes i hate it...
now.....about the sex....we need to have a consensus that you all want to know :).....i think you should all start putting in your guesses now and i'll let you know whose closest ;)
Happy birthday to WILL and NOAH ! I hope you've both had a wonderful day with your families! :happybirthday:
Rainy, I soooo want to know as well. Like Arte, I'm living vicariously thru your PG, only it's not to tide me over, it's forever. We had a little 5 month old visiting today for Miss E's party, I held him and snuggled against his gorgeousness and felt this big 'AAAAAAH I'm never going to have this again moment'. :( So it's all up to you hun. PS you can tell us the sex but keep us guessing names if you like ;). BTW I'm totally with you about the whole preggy raging emotions thing. I think you're probably well justified but you feel the highs and lows so much more when you're preggy.
Noni - wow how exciting about your friend coming up and even more exciting that you are planning for your wedding!! :D I was cracking up when I read about A wedged in the telly cabinet. DD1 used to sit in her bookshelf reading books.
Arte - Oh I soooo love NZ! We spent time in Wanaka, Queenstown and I still have my Puzzleworld photos LOL. I'd love to take DD1 for a holiday around the place, I think she would really appreciate it at this age, and now we have our friends over there near Dunedin (which I also loooove) all the more reason.
Cally glad the christening went well. I'm feeling a bit weary now too.
Well E's party was a roaring success. We had a ducky birthday cake, little ducky pattycakes and ducky biscuits, and we decked the loungeroom out with millions of balloons in pretty colours. I had bubble blowers for all the kids and everyone had a ball, young to old! I taught my friends 2 yo to blow bubbles (classic moment!) and E followed him around like a friendly little shadow. I even remembered at the last moment that we should have champagne LOL and rang my friend to bring some. Not sure if I got a good photo of E's party outfit, she was dressed in yellow and white to reflect the general ducky theme LOL. I'm totally pooped now though.
MD- party sounds like a hit, great job!
Rainy- i am with you love. I get massively insucure and jelous when preg and i am NEVER normally like that. I think the first tri sux, as well as the out of control hormones making you feel tired and like rubbish you start putting on weight and it's hard to feel great about yourself.
DH and i had a huge fight on Sat morning too. Still only just talking to him! I know i am being rediculose at times but can't help it. I think the fact that i feel so crap and as a result there is not much action in the bedroom also makes me feel in secure and unloved.
We were at a girlfriends birthday yesterday and i was holding Lu, for one reason or another she decided to throw herself backwards suddenly. I was talking to someone and not really paying attention. Anyway i half caught her by the calves but she wacked her head on the coffee table and started screaming. She was ok but i felt terrible, and i felt like the whole room was thinking "OMG what a terrible mother" i was really embarresed.
Hi Girls,
OMG I am so far behind.
Firstly HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH:happybirthday: Hope you had a wonderful day yesterday
Geez the phone just rang and now I have lost my concentration....
Sorry girls I will have to catch up later.
Hey everyone!!
Sry i havent been on...you guys sound like u've been vry busy!
Wat's the iphone like? is it worth buying?
Awww, everyones pregnant.. i want to be... my stupid body atm grrr... i was 3 weeks late so ure thought is being pregnant...nup...Dyu guys have any tips for conceiving? Chessa was conveniently an accident...and now that we want to try, we cant fall pregnant.
Congrats noni on starting to organise ur wedding.
We had Chessa's birthday party on weekend, it was fantastic!! Although Chess was a little shy, everyone enjoyed themselves. She received so much stuff! spoilt little thing.
My cousin ended up making a massive butterfly, it was awesome!! I'm not sure how to post pics, so when i work it out, i'll show u all.
Is anyone having problems with miniature tantrums???
Hi Cinta, I was wondering where you had gone. Good to hear C's party went well. If the mini tantrums you are asking about are the sit down and cry when they don't get what they want ones then yes, we have them here quite a lot! With concieving, do you know your fertile signs? You can usually tell when you are about to ovulate by checking your cervical mucous (so glamerous lol). Head over to the TTC forums and I am sure there will be some info. Are you breastfeeding? I know that BF is stuffing up my baby plans, my cycle is not behaving like it should and I am getting AF too soon after ovulation so no little bubba has time to implant :(
Ange, thanks for the offer re the nappies. The site I have been using sells a 6 pack for $170 NZD (about $140 AUD), not sure what they sell for over there? I have just got a Monkey Doodlez bamboo but I got the high rise and I think I will send it back for the normal medium. I am becoming obsessed, DH is sick of me talking about nappies lol Hope L is o.k. Yesterday DH and I both stood and watched as W fell off the deck and went face first on the stones. It was like a slow motion thing, he sort of slipped on to the next step and then slid down to the ground. He now has a bruise on his forehead, the second one ever.
MD, the party sounds fantastic! Bet E was a cutie. H would be at a great age to enjoy a trip here. We have the tacky (but oh so fun) photos from puzzleworld where you stand on the lawn with your hand out and it looks like you are holding the leaning tower lol
Rainy, my bets are on a little girl. I would love to know the name too, but I guess I could wait if you choose not to share. How is Lewis sleeping?
Cally, glad the christening went well. Not long now until you are back at work! Seems like a lifetime ago since I was working and actually had to think lol. Did you sort out the BF for when you go back?
Ozstar, that would be great if you could pm me some courses (when you have time)
William has decided he is scared of one of his toys. It is an ulgy round dog thing that has a horrible giggle when you shake it. He picked it up yesterday, looked at it then threw it away and started crying. He saw it in the hallway today and came over to me with his arms up crying. It is an awful toy though, we named it Evlor because it looks and sounds evil.
morning everyone
ange- you poor thing  you are such a good mum, they're just such wriggly little worms atm. hard to hold onto.
i'm so glad i'm not the only jealous insecure one. it's so weird, i'm soooo bl55dy jealous atm. i hate it. we have the opposite problem to you guys in the bedroom i think, in that dp doesn't like dtd when i'm pg. last time we only dtd about 4 times the whole pg. it really makes me feel like sh8t. unattractive and unsexy. i hate it! i feel like he's so immature about the whole thing. he thinks he's going to poke the baby in the head or something!! so stupid...i hate getting no love. probably doesn't help that we're sleeping in seperate beds atm as i sleep with lewis and he needs sleep so he's not tired at work...oh well, i know he really loves me..i'm just completely insecure and irrational when pg.
arte- lewis' sleep is a lot better. he still wakes up a few of times in the night, but usually only needs one or two bfs. the rest of the time he has a little whinge, adjusts position and continues snoring. we still have the odd 4am shocking scream out but all in all, it's a lot better....
lol at will's dog. very funny.
so your bet is on a girl hey?? well i have a definite girl's name lined up :)
ultrasound is on mon 13th oct
md- your ducky party sounds beautiful. did the cake have two crinkle cut chips as its beak? i seem to have vivid memories of that from my childhood. think my mum must have made it for me somewhere along the line. very cute :) awww i wish you could all come along and hug my newborn.....and keep hugging it all day long if you like! ;)
MD: woot woo on the party success!! i hope that you took loads of photos to show DH!! too cute on the duck theme!
R: i reckon Blue...
Leanne: IKWYM. i get on here and then BAM. something happens and all time is lost! LOL!
Cinta: glad to see you back! you can also buy a 'maybe baby' that tells you when you are ovulating...time to catch those eggies! LOL!
and yeah we are getting tanties all the time now...especially when at DJ's...egad.
hi everyone
firstly thank you soooo much for all the bday wishes for Noah!! he had a fabulous day... all grandparents in from melb spoiling him rotten!!! we had to postpone his party at the last minute as he has a tummy bug (and now so do DH and I!) and i didnt want all the other bubbas to catch it. i had done the fill nigella all day fri and part of sat (before we decided to cancel) so now have a house full of choc crackles, frogs in the pond, blinis etc etc etc. i will freeze some but i think the rest needs a good home... i feel sick looking at it!! we did go out for a family lunch (with my cousins too) and then had bday cake (i made the 1 from the ww book (the old one) but with sprinkles instead of smarties) and coffee. was a great day. my fdc lady is sick all this week so major juggling going onhere to look after N, they did offer back up care but in theor creche and so we are both taking 2 days off to look after him. cancelled this week's trip to melb, i just hope she is better next week as dh is away... juggle juggle juggle!
Rainy - you soooo better tell us the gender... i cant wait!!! i was also v emotional/insecure all thru preg, we did have some really bad fights too, also just after N was born... a lot of mine were about my loss of identity in some ways.. i think we all have our little pressure pts that flare up.
Noni - asha sounds delightful (and hard work). congrats on the wedding plans...
Clare - i wonder if you were at my antenatal class? (john James??)
MD - the party sounds great - what a job you did!!!! i am sure you are exhausted now!!
N has so many new toys now - awesone ones! i wanted to put some of them away til he is older, or to surprise him with later but I love them all and want them to be played with now!! my mum got hima gorgeous rocking horse, soooo cool and we bought him the bee wheely bug which arrived this morning and is gorgeous. must say i am a little surprised how tiny it is, i cant imagine a 3 yr old on it!!! he also got gorgeous brio blocks - sooo stylish and lots of books and other great toys. a friedn also bought him a carwling worm, like a tunnel you put up nd they crawl thru - think he has to get better at crawlingfirst but love it!
he is a chatterbox now - duck, mama, dada, there, that, banana (well nana and it is generic for all foods) - h can also point to my, his and daddys nose, mouth and eyes... aaaah i am proud!!
re tantie - not full on ones here... but lots of whining and tears if not getting loads of attention.
the other CUTEST thing he did today - i often tickle him by 'biting' his ribs - he did it back to me and burst out laughing. love it!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WILLIAM & KATIE Hope your 1st Birthdays were wonderful[/COLOR]
PP: yeah maybe we were together at ante-natal class!!! how funny would that be???
All i know is that i was in a group with a girl called Belinda. we ended up in the same mums group too!
i think i finished up our classes when i was 36 weeks...and L's EDD was the 14th of September...
pregpan- i wish i lived near you, i'd be more than happy to take some of that party food off your hands LOL i'm such a pig atm!!
when will you have noah's party?
forgot to mention i bought lewis a large ladybug wheelybug for his birthday. i still have to wait ages to give it to him, but it's sooo cute, i can't wait!!!
Hey everyone a quick one from me as S had a shocker night so am shattered atm the moment and have so much business stiff to do. I've just put her down for a nap so have maybe 20mins to get as much done as possible. Of course, I've just spent some of that time reading all your posts. No pm's from me but will try to come back later.
ha ha rainy - i would happily drive it over to your place... i was planning to take it over to FDC today but she is not wel so we are stuck with it... DH took heaps into work today but not all of it...
Clare - I did a 1 day course.. did you? did you do mums group at narrabundah? i did - but i started with N was 8 weeks... though i do have some friends who were in the earlier one. that wouldbe weird.
cally how are you feeling about going back to work? how many days per week are you doing? i know you have said but what are your care arrangements for gorgeous K?
Evening ladies,
Just a quick one from me tonight.
Rainy I am guessing team pink!!
Pregpan I too would be happy to take some of that yummy food off your hands if I was closer.
Arte I sent you a message through FB about the courses.
Cinta good luck TTC.
MD your party sounds great, I bet Miss E looked adorable in yellow and white.
Logan fell out of his cot this morning, he was trying to reach the blinds. Thankfully DH was home coz it scared the life out of me. We have now dropped the cot and moved his room around. No bumps or bruises. I have a quiet week planned this week, feels like ages since that has happened.
Oz: OMG! that would have been scary! we are having cot issues too...hmmm
PP: no we did the 5 week course at JJ. i did the b/f class as well though...
i went to narrabundah!!! i started when L was 6 weeks...so yeah, we probably should have been in the same group...ish??? it was a wednesday morning...ok, i remember a girl called Belinda, Sally, Kate, arrgh my memory is fading! i still keep in contact with them too!!
R: the wheely bug is awesome isnt it?!! L loves it. she doesnt really know how to use it so tries to push it from behind...oh well, when her little legs grow i'm sure the penny will drop.
Clare - K is the same, loves the wheely bug to look at and play with the antenna, but doesn't quite get the concept of sitting and pushing herself around. DH is stressing about the furniture though, I think he is on the hunt for a bit of black rubber to stick around the wooden edge.
I'm going back to work full time - this time next week I'll be sitting at my computer catching up on hundreds of emails! My mum is looking after K for the first week, then DH for 2 weeks over school holidays, then she is going to a centre. I think it's good that I'll be starting work 3 weeks before she goes into care so she gets used to me not being around before she goes to care.
Just got some cheap grobags from bambini pronto, some of the discontinued ones. They have some gorgeous new designs. And am in the process of ordering labels for K.
Pregpan - what a shame that N got sick and you had to cancel the party. I'd offer to take some food off you, but we still have a fridge full of leftovers!
Ange - I've almost dropped K a few times, once on her head (it actually hit the floor, but I had enough of a grip so it wasn't a big hit, but was still a bit nervewracking). They are very wriggly little things.
MD - glad the party was a success. I'm sure E was gorgeous in her little outfit.
Damn, phone just woke K up.
