Thanks for asking R, they got it sorted (after a huge process with the deputy principal) and now she's got her own little posse of friends (hallelujah I can sleep peacefully at night now). The whole thing has now been cemented as they had a bring a friend night at Guides yesterday, H invited all three and they were desperate to go along and 2 might be joining. Met all the mums and seem like nice families too. Oh I am soooo relieved, it is so nice to hear H complaining about stuff that totally doesn't matter when I pick her up from school instead of the latest tale of who was nasty!

:confetti::confetti: I got a S&S for my birthday last year as well, what a thoughtful gift.... :p
Well, Sarah is sounding very behind after all your stories. I hope I'm doing things right with her. Any special tips that have gotten your bubs going?
Had S weighed the other day and she is 8.6kg and 74cm long at 11 months of age. Thats sort of in the low end of the scale I think. She looks healthy and eats pretty well when shes not sick just a bit frustrating when everyone puts out that she is small for her age. :(
-
Kate, I hear you! M always gets the 'gee she's a big girl' comment, so we have the opposite to you! Theres always someone who has to comment and make you worry. As if us mums dont have enough to worry about. I'm sure S is fine, has the health nurse said otherwise? Dont worry Maddie isnt doing too special either iykwim, ie she doesnt 'neigh' like Will or do things that Alister & Rory are doing lol.
Renee - Happy bday!! Hope your DH gets the job. Must be hard having him away alot. Dont worry tuna mornay is very nutritious, Rory will become more adventurous with food in time. I've slaved away in the kitchen only to have my cooking spat out as well, not a nice feeling I know. Yep off to KL & Penang in a week. I'm so glad you feel that way about Rory, he really is adorable. I almost cried reading what you wrote about him! Being a mummy is fun thats for sure.
MD - Oh thank god the bullying is over! Must be a huge relief for all of you.
Rainy - Glad you found a suitable Doula. Cant believe you are 15 wks already. Well M's ears should clear up by then, but if not I really dont know? We will still go, but I dont know what to do to combat the pain? I'm sure it will be fine. We are having another visit with the doc tomorrow after 2 days on antibiotics just to make sure they are working well, so if not I'm sure the Doc will come up with something else. She knows we are off o/seas in a wks time. I also have a final visit with the doc the day before we fly out. Crack baby lol!!
Trillian - I agree Alister is so far advanced. The slide is a nice birthday idea, lucky boy. He sounds so clever.
Noni - Did you test? How exciting!
I went to target tonight and came across two lovely in the night garden books which I will put away for M's bday. She is loving reading with me atm. Also bought some summer clothes...couldnt resist! My mum also bought M some of those croc shoes today, I think they are so ugly when an adult wears them but they are ok on children!
Did I mention I got an ergo for going o/seas?! Its fantastic!
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RENEEsorry i missed that...
well i did a test and it was negative.. but then all last night i felt super sick kinda like i did with dd very early in the pregnancy.. and i still dont feel crash hot this morning.. still no af not gonna test again till atleast tmw and will do it in the morning if no af still.. or maybe i'll wait even longer not sure..
mm - ohhh i love my ergo.. dont use it as much as i should but its really great!! what a good idea for going o/s!
kate - i often feel like asha is behind too after reading how clever all these bubbies are!! ashas not walking yet and only says a few words and not really in response to anything lol...
anyway better go and get her some breaky before she destroys the place...
-
MD- Glad the bullying is sorted out. Kids can be so cruel. Must be a relief to have a happy little girl again. I dread all those things when Lu starts school.
Kate- average for 11months is about 9.2kg. 72.5cm. So you just tell all those 'commenters' that she is actually tall for her age. And perhaps a little lean, but she just has a great metabolism! I do think people comment to make conversation, they just don't think about how it could make a mother feel. People are always saying Lu is big for her age, but she is on the average line for all her measurements. I just smile and nod, and roll my eyes in my mind! ;)
Happy birthday for yesterday Renee. :cheer:
MM- Ergo is a great buy, you'll never look back! How long until you go?
Rainy- NEVER weigh yourself woman! Particularly if you're feeling frumpy. I havn't weighed myself since bun started baking. How'd the sleep go ast night?
Had a scan yesterday, everything all good. 13 weeks yestaerday.
Trill- Alister sure is a little sponge. Clever boy absorbing all the info. Can't believe he can walk backwards!
Speaking of clever little boys, has Artechim been around lately? maybe i've missed a few pages...
Lu has 2 new teeth poking through, 8 now. When i give her something, or she gives me something, i say thank-you. But oddly enough she has started saying 'Ta'. Bizarre, as i never say it. I guess it is her interpretation of Thank-you though. :dunno:
Off to osteo, bbl.
-
Renee happy birthday for yesterday.
MM I love my ergo too, but I don't use it as often as I should.
Rainy good to hear you found a doula, I am sure it is going to make loads of difference to your labour.
Ange wow 8 teeth, L only has 5 and a bit. Woo hoo on making it to the second trimester.
Noni I hope the second test comes out with the result you want.
L's party tomorrow, have made a few things already this morning with a few more to go my kitchen looks like a bomb went off. I also have some people coming around for photos today and haven't cleaned up the studio from the last shoot, I am so lazy. Had best be off the oven is beeping at me.
Have a great day and Hi to everyone I missed.

Hi Girls!
Wow it feels like AGES since i have been on here! read through most of the posts, but as usual, when i come to write it all turns to mush!
thanks for all the birthday wishes for Leila... i too got all emotional and could barely keep it together at mum's group. especially during key times of the labour from the year before...like when my waters broke, when DH arrived and of course when miss L made her debut.
Renee: Sending you BIG belated Happy Birthday wishes...hmmm a S&S for your birthday! who was a lucky girl then?? LOL!
Sherie: aawwww IKWYM about watching all these milestones. i watch with pride, but also watch with some nostalgia for a stage passed.
Ange: wow 8 teeth! how amazing is that?!! and congrats to second trimester....ahhh how i loved that time! gorgeous blossoming belly and no m/s! congrats on the good scan. great to see those little arms and legs isnt it!
Kate: yeah leila is in the same boat. she is pretty tiny for the average. but i think she looks healthy and happy and that's all that matters. she was born small, and i guess that's just her! L has her appointment on monday so we'll see how she is going then...
Noni: LOL! i hear ya on the 'destructo baby' front! it looks like a tornado rips through our lounge every morning.
Rainy: woot woo on a nice doula! pretty exciting stuff! i'd love to have one if there is a next time.
MD: hmmm not sure if there are any amazing bubby things going on here ATM! LOL! unless you count 5 poos a day.;)
anyway best be off DH and his MIL are alone in lounge together and things have been getting strained over hte last two days as it is. Man, i hate family crap sometimes. it always seems so nice from a distance, but then highly disappoints. oh well.
-
Hi Girls,
Just a quick one from me... I have posted some photos of liv's party and will post some on FB today too.
have a good one
-
the pics are gorgeous leanne, olivia is a stunner
you sneaky girl not telling us it's your birthday on sunday MD........
-
LOL Rainy don't you worry I'm not shy about it...quite happy to remind ppl who look like they've forgotten ...just haven't quite caught up with the fact, more focussed on Bettybub's big day next week! Plus it will be a bit lame this year without my main man to shower me with gifts and adoration. LOL Like I always say, it's not your birthday until you've had your birthday b*nk ;) - looks like i'll be waiting until October for mine PMSL.
ETA - Leanne, love the pictures, well done with the cake. I love the picture of O with the ribbon in her hair looking like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth :D
Clare, 5 poos a day, be sure to remind her of that when she turns 21, won't you! It's gotta be some kind of record!
Ange, wow 8 teeth, E's still working on getting number 3~! Agreed ppl sooo don't know what they are talking about size wise, E is 76 cm but everyone always says how tall she is...?! According to her clothes labels, that's average for 12 mths!!
MM be sure to ask your doctor about stronger pain relief for M in case you need it on the airplane, they do have codeine and other options available but you need to get it on a script so it's absolutely the perfect dose for her size, and not too much, kwim?
Better go, my ducky balloon and cake cutter have arrived, just waiting for the patty pans etc to come from ebay and then I'll have a practise run!
-
MD - Thanks for the tip re the pain relief. We are back to the doctor next week, twice before we go, so I'll ask if needed. I am planning on a practice run of the cake this weekend as well.
Leanne - Olivia is a little darling. I LOVE her party dress. I am planning on keeping my eyes open when we are o/seas for a party dress for M. Well done with the cake!
Well I cracked it big time at DP last night, at 2am. I know I shouldnt complain I guess, but I have been so sleep deprived for a few months now and this latest illness of Maddie's is really taking its toll on me. No wonder I am getting warts coming up on my hand EW!! So anyway cracked it at DP as he rarely gets up to help. He says I have to work, as soon as he says that I mostly lay off because its only fair that I do the late night duty when he has to get up for work. Last night though I gave him a piece of my mind, and he stormed out the door this morning. Too bad. I am going out tonight for work, planning on having a few to drink, so he is on night duty tonight and we'll see how he goes. Bahaha I am a b**** arent I!?
I had grand plans for fathers day, I bought everything I needed to do a hand or foot print into some clay for DP and also for the grandfathers. Well I spent half an hr kneeding the clay to make it softer and got no where, so cracked it and gave up. LOL. I AM HAVING A BAD DAY! So M is asleep atm, when she gets up I'll dig out the finger paints and some canvas and give that a go...wish me luck last time it was a messy nightmare.
Went back to the doc today and M's ears are still really inflamed. Ahhh I hope these antibiotics kick in soon. Poor hun.
sorry for the lack of personals.
-
Howdy all!
Oh H, I really feel for you hun. I wish there was something I could do to help you out. I really hope that M's ears are well on the way to getting better before you go.
Marydean, LOL at you not getting birthday nooki this year ;) I am so happy for H that she's got such a good group of friends now. I am crossing my fingers that the cake test goes to plan.
Leanne, I just had a squizz at your pics. She's just gorgeous - I love those cheeks!
Gosh, I can't remember what's been said now.
Kate, don't worry about her size, she's perfect the way she is. on the WHO charts that I have, the 50th centile is 8.9kg and 73cm's, so she's just gorgeously average.
I'm sure Alister's the way he is because he has 3 older siblings he is so desperate to keep up with, so that's egged him on more than if he were an only child.
He had his first lollipop today too the little bugger LOL. The girls got a showbag the other day that was full of lollipops, and he found them this afternoon and he thought it was unreal LOL. I didn't have the heart to take it off him. But the little devil saw me coming and took off as fast as his little legs would carry him - it was so funny. I think I can safely say we don't have any tummy troubles with food at night now - and I haven't been giving him the Brauer's colic relief for a few days either and his sleep is still very very good FINALLY!
I just brought a cross stitch birth sampler off ebay today for him too - I finally got round to taking the girls' in to be framed and I am in the process of finishing Lindsay's. I did them all ar$e about LOL - I started with Paige's and then Erin's and now Lindsay's. It's coming from the US, but is cheaper than if I had of brought it here in Aus.
-
Hi girls!
Leanne i'll try and have a look for the piccies!
MD: LOL! oohhh waiting until October?! OMG you're man wont know what hit him LOL!!
yes the pooing is quite extreme. even the kindy girls were taken aback by one of her exploding poos. it went EVERYWHERE!
MM: i second Sherie. that sounds pretty haranguing. poor M, and poor you! and i too would have cracked it at DH. at the end of the day WE decided to have a baby and with that comes a shared responsibility. DH tried the work line on me, but after having L on his own a couple of days in a row he soon gave up giving me that excuse. it is MUCH harder to be the stay-at-home parent of a child: where there is no 'home time' or knock-off drinks at the local.
Sherie: what the thing off ebay that you bought? sounds interesting!
LOL dont you love the way they try to hide stuff that they think is really cool. for us it's the curash. i find it pocketed away in all sorts of tubs and buckets...
AFM: well not much to report. L had her birthday cake celebration at kindy today and couldnt believe her tastebuds. pity that my own attempt at a cake comes after she has been corrupted by decent baked goods. ho hum.
-
Ahhh, she's a baby Clare, she wont know the difference between them LOL.
The cross stitch is just a birth sampler, where you put their name, DOB and their birthweight etc and they have a cute little picture. I saw one that said "cutie patootie" and thought of Jaz's H straight away LOL.
-
MM- Poor M I hope her ears get better soon. I also hope you have a wonderful time out tonight. Re the Party Dress MIL bought it from America for $15 yep thats right $15 I neally died when I saw the tag. Its such a beauitful dress.
MD- I am so happy for H with her friends from school. Hey what are you doing for you birthday?
Sherie- LOl at the lollipop.
Thanks girls for all your kind words about the photo's. I was a bit disappointed at the cake but oh well better luck next year.
Fathers day we are having a BBQ Lunch and bought DH a shirt and a kiss framed picture and going to get him a shaver. Sort of making a big deal this year as last year I was in hospital.
Happy Fathers day to all our DADDY's
-
Sherie - Can just imagine Alister running off with his lolly pop, what a cutie!
Leemar - $15 what a bargain!! I hope I can get a few bargains like that o/seas. We are doing the bbq lunch too as it should be a nice sunny day.
Clare - I know, DP works long hours but still, sometimes after looking after a baby 24/7 you just need a hand every now & then at night, even if he has to get up tired for work. Ah well I'm used to being a permanant zombie these days lol. Did you bake a cake for kindy?
I ended up making hand & foot prints with acrylic paint, framed them & they actually look really good! Suprised myself hehe. Maddie was very patient as well.
Had such a nice night out, only had two glasses of champers and woke up feeling seedy. What the!? Whats happened to me lol.
How is everyone going with brushing babies teeth? I am getting no where and always forget, what a terrible mum! Also I worry about when M has her 4am bottle, would that be harming her teeth? I dont leave the bottle with her, she has it and it puts her straight off to sleep iykwim.

Hello everyone, feels like ages since I have been on! I have been down at mums this week. It has been a bit of a disaster, I have dinged my car (twice!!!) and got food poisoning yesterday - my fault for being stupid enough to eat KFC.
Apart from that it has been good visiting my family. We had a little birthday party on Friday, Will got lots of cool presents and enjoyed himself. We just got a few pizzas and a cake but it was fun. I teared up a little when we were singing happy birthday to my little baby!! Will loves it here, he has mastered steps so he can go outside and climb off the deck and potter around the back yard.
MD, Happy Birthday  So glad that H is happier at school. I think I have made a mockery of your name.
Sherie, that is so cute A running away with the lollypop! He sounds like a little dare devil lol
Leanne, will have a look at the FB pics when I get back home, bet they are very cute.
MM, I give W his toothbrush in the morning when I brush mine and then he gets it in the bath too. Don't worry too much about it, they are still little. Hope M is better by the time you go on holiday.
Clare, I got a supermarket cake for W, didn't want to ruin the night with a rock cake lol
Renee, good to see you back! Sorry to hear about you crappy boss. How rude to fire you in the car park!
Noni, your other thread left me hanging!! What happened???
-
MD- HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY
Happy Fathers Day to all our Daddy's
Art- OMG I hope you are ok and how is W
