Kate hun, is she teething? Jack was chucking when his molar was moving through the gum & he was also getting the 8th front tooth. Dr believed it was due to teething.

K: yeah have to agree with Andie on that one...L was doing mini-chucks (and yes, rubbing it into the carpet too! LOL!) and lo and behold a few days later popped the tooth and since then nothing...hmmm. maybe?
Fathers day...we didnt really do much. went for a car trip to the coast and froze ourselves solid. gave DH is 'artwork' from Leila. I bought a double frame and on the top part put her painting and on the bottom put a photo of her painting it...he loved it! ahh the budding artist.
PP: woot glad to have you back!!! oh, and i have found the BEST bugaboo site!!! if you need parts, accessories etc...i ordered for our pram and 2 weeks later came in the post!! here i asked at the stores and most said they couldnt get them in or that i would have to wait 4 months...you know the usual, so came across babytrader eu and it is fantastic!!!
anyway BBL!!
Thanks girls, I hear you on the teeth. It probably is that. I think her molars are causing havoc so will blame them. It's not bothering her and the dogs get an extra meal/leftovers lol
Off to bed...night ladies
jack slept thro last nite .. i can feel a molar point almost thro
funny thing .. before his last molar points were the nites he slept thro .. plus sleeping heaps during the day too
Yeah my boys are fussy when it comes to teeth coming through & food. Does get a bit annoying at times though.
Just quick from me - off to have a pap smear soon *oh the joy*
Anyway....
Kate, did she ever get reflux as a baby? The 'happy' chucking to me sounds like reflux - Alister will still do it from time to time.
Hi Andie and everyone else *waves*
:happybirthday: Will!! Hope you have a lovely day :D!!
Hi ladies, just a quick one from me as E has been unwell and has also developed sudden and severe seperation anxiety (I can't even leave her in the plastic penitentiary for a few minutes to cook!) and I've just sent her to FDC, don't know if it will be a complete disaster, expecting a phone call any moment to pick her up. I soo wasn't sure if she was well enough (bit of an ear infection brewing, dr said to wait a couple of days then start the ABs but I'm going INSANE so I started her on them today). But like I said I'm going LOCO and desperately need to get some washing done, cook some baby dinners, generally wrap my head around life!!!!!!!! Doesn't help that I'm premenstrual this week so the general patience and calmness levels are non existent.
Speaking of which, Cally the first few AFs I had were total shockers (both heaviness and pain levels), I was even in at the pharmacist begging them to tell me what ****tail of painkillers I could take...but as the months have worn on they have settled both in terms of flow and the pain has settled right down as well. So it's not necessarily a trend you need to worry about.
PP glad you're back and you had such a lovely time! V scary with the nappy sacks, def time to move the furniture around!
Kate, E chucks a bit like that sometimes, it's like overflow especially if she's had something she really likes and wolfed it down fast. Sometimes it even comes up with a burp behind it. If you're worried ask your GP next time you're there, I imagine they will tell you it's normal for some kids.
Happy Birthday Will, :happybirthday:
happy birthday WILL! Hope you are having a fabulous day!
Happy Birthday Will!!!! I hope you're having a great day sweetie!
Marydean, did you end up getting a call from the FDC lady? I hope Miss E doesnt get any worse than what she is. I would have been quite anxious just waiting to see if it got worse before starting the abs knowing that they can be so painful. You scored well for your birthday getting an iphone.
Hey Pregpan - how much shopping did you do on your trip? ;) Glad that you all enjoyed it. So how did the re-arranging go?
Back from the quack's LOL. So glad that it's over with for another 2years. While I was there I got him to sign a concientious objection form for Alister's vaccinations. Im really not comfortable with him having the MMR considering his eczema and his gut problems with the reflux etc, so I told our Dr that I would just delay them, but I wont worry about getting them later. He was really good about it all too - so was his clinic Sister who did all the paperwork. She had to read out a thing basically informing me that I was making an informed decision about the for and against and I said to her that I was actually more informed this time by declining than I was with the other three and just blindly going along and getting them done because it was the *done thing* kwim? I feel pretty good about myself - like I've championed a cause. So I will take it to Medicare next week and give it to them so they can send it to the immunisation register.
Hi Girls
:happybirthday:HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL
1ST BIRTHDAY...
Sherie - i was just thinking about the immunisations myself... hmm better talk to DH about that as always i amnervous about them.
Thanks so much for asking about the rearranging, you are such a lovely friend to remember these things. we didnt actually discuss it much, and now dh has another trip planned for 9 days fromnext weekend.. grrr.. we wll have that discussion, we have to really... i think we will end up with more home help and also after this trip i am assured there wont be much travel for dh so that will help.
Hey Sherie - she wasn't really chucky as a bub...had a couple but was otherwise okay. I get reflux so maybe I passed that onto her as well as my tempers  I'll double check with the drs but yep, shes not worried so I'm not going to panic too much.
MD - How'd E go today? Did you get what you wanted done?
S was awake at 3.30 this morning and wouldn't be put back for ages, then finally fell asleep only to wake up 15mins later. Not happy...luckily she had a good sleep this arvo. Swimming must have really tired her out... Ended up watching the X Files movie uninterrupted...:cheer:
Oops, better go sounds like shes into something she shouldn't be...
Story of our lives these days, Kate ;)!:
Oops, better go sounds like shes into something she shouldn't be...
Well E was happy as larry for the FDC lady today, typical.. I got some baby dinners in the freezer and a bit of washing done, I even managed to listen to all my answering machine messages and look at my emails! The place is still in chaos but at least I feel like I've made progress today.
Trill, good for you for going with your gut on the immunisations. I'm a bit nervous about the MMR but we've had no issues with egg and I've interogated the MACH nurses about potential suspect compounds in the vaccs but they don't use the dodgey one here and haven't for years and years. So we'll be organising that, might leave it a few more weeks tho until DH is home, just so I can share the post vacc whinginess around LOL.
Getting very excited about E's birthday tomorrow, she's getting a couple of prezzies in the morning and then some again on Sunday when it's her party. H is getting excited about it too. Going to wrap a couple of things so she gets the whole paper ripping experience but leave some of them out for her. :)
Happy Birthday Will
MD, glad that E went well at FDC and you got some of your stuff done. Snap with the clingy pants baby, DH has to pry W off me with a crow bar lately. He reminds me of a little monkey clinging on to its mum lol
Kate, I have noticed W has a few little spews when he is cutting teeth
Pregpan, glad you had a good time in Bali. Noah sounds adorable
Trill, glad the doctors went well. I was surprised at the difference in vaccination schedules between Australia and NZ. W had some shots at 6 months and then nothing until 15 months then I think 4 years.
I am so amazed my little baby is a whole year old! I find it hard to remember him being so tiny and new. Even DH is a bit nostalgic, I caught him looking through photos of the first few weeks. I have enjoyed this year with him so much and it is getting harder to remember life without him. I would like to thank you ladies for all the support, advice and friendship you have given me since the early days of pregnancy - it has made a huge difference to me to have you all here
Awww Arte!! shucks! A big one year old?!!! it is really special isnt it?!!!
and to the birthday boy...Happy Birthday Will!!!!
PP: yeah we have a grabber in the cot too. everynight i have to make sure that there isnt anything on top of the drawers otherwise it ends up in the cot with her....grrr, pretty annoying, but she always seems pleased with herself.
man, i would be pretty tetchy too about DH having to go away again.
MD: IKWYM about needing to get things done!! our house has been a pigsty for the last couple of weeks. last night i had to pull a dinner out of thin air for all of us...oh it was MAGNIFICENT pffttttt!! LOL!
PITA about not being able to tidy with E around. L was like that for a little while too. now i give her 'jobs' to do while i am faffing about trying to get things done. our latest is hanging out the washing. i give her the peg container and she 'sorts' them for me...he he he. such a mess, but she loves it!
Kate: i hear you on the early mornings. i am soooo over them. L usually wakes anywhere btw 4 and 6am. and is really hard to resettle. Baby Love reckons it is really common and jsut to try some quiet time in the bed with a boob or bottle, then back to bed....we have been doing that with some success. ITH?
Sherie: congrats on getting organised for the vaccinations. i am still really nervous about the whole affair. i dont want to give them to her, especially now that they have brought it forward to 12 months. my MACH nurse was already onto me today about it....feeling like the 'ignorant first time mummy doing damage to her baby' by not doing, and on the other hand feeling really sick in my belly to give her something so potent. she is soo little still. i think i might try to drag it out to 18 months....at the best.
ahh yes, i guess that i will be due soon for the glorious pap. i had one when i found out i was preggers. so it must be coming up. ho hum...
AFM: well feeling a bit down as my Mum left about 1/2 hour ago to go back home. we had an awesome time together and it was really great to have another woman around to help with L IYKWIM? although DH is great, he is just not in tune to L's needs and wants and requirements and is constantly asking for feedback or advice from me, whereas with Mum i could just leave her and know that they were both fine and having fun. so i guess i will miss that bit of help and company. not to mention a great shopping buddy...
Went to the MACH nurse and got Leila weighed....7.8 kgs!!!!!!!!!! OMG she is TINY!!! the nurse (a new one YAY!) said that she was awesome and looked perfectly healthy despite the fact that she is in the lower end. so i am relieved to finally have someone with some sense working for our centre. so her stats are 7.8kgs, length: 72 cms and a whopping head of 46.5....
feeling pretty chuffed about the whole thing!
Also, L is getting really good on trying to walk. she now walks around the shops with us holding on to our fingers and just LOVES it! so cute to hear her laugh of triumph!
anyway best dash!
took the boys outside today as it was quite warm. jack had a ball. we went next door & had a play then we came home for the elder boys to play on the gyms. jack wanted the ball alex ran off and followed him down our gardens steps to the lower part of our yard and didn't stop moving!
Alex & Jack had so much fun they wore themselves out & had a great sleep.
How was everyone's day?
Happy Birthday to big boy William!
Arte - Well done on making it through the first year, I loved your status update on facebook today. Very sweet.
MD - Happy belated birthday! I wonder why the doc wanted to wait and see if the ear infection got worse? I hope E is feeling better and I'm glad you had a bit of time to get things organised and back on track. Its so hard these days with bubs on the move isnt it!
Trillian - I am so uninformed about immunisations, I really need to google it all. MMR? I dont even know what that is lol. Well done on making your own decision. I am due for a p/smear too, last time I went to the doc he wanted to do it then but I said oh no thats ok next time. Need to prepare myself and build up my courage besides I want a lady doc lol. At least its over and done for another two years now.
Ozstar - How exciting about ttc in January. I know what you mean about losing weight, I've heard its hard to shed baby weight that has accumulated over a few babies iykwim. Anyway dont stress too much about it, I've seen some smoking hot pics of you on FB! ;)
Kate - Come to think of it, Maddie was a bit chucky last time she had a tooth coming through. I never knew they were linked! Hope its all sorted now? I watched 90210 and loved it. Seems a bit far fetched though, 16 yr olds having affairs lol. Still loved it. Still looking into the Fiji or Bali wedding, its so hard. I've actually put off my research for a bit, until I get an ENGAGEMENT RING HAHAHA! Thanks for the offer re help.
Pregpan - Glad you had a great trip in Bali. Thanks so much for the aloe vera tip, I'll definately get some as its very humid over there. Also planning on getting some raffertys. Glad to hear the rice is a hit as I had the same plan on ordering rice etc for M. I wonder why N wouldnt crawl in Bali? lol little monkey. WOW glad to hear he is sitting up from crawling now.
Cally - M is also unsure of her grandad and men in general really, other than her own father. Maybe its because they are used to being looked after by a woman mainly? Oh I dont know! hehe
Queenie - Hi! YAY thats great news about Sasha's hips. Is she in the brace still? Did you find it hindered her in any way or did she get used to it?
Clare - I am the same with not getting chores done around the home now. It seems I have tidied one area and Maddie, now nicknamed 'the destroyer' by DP, makes a mess again. I've given up now! Like the idea of giving them the pegs to play with as a distraction. ;)
Andie - Glad to hear you had a nice time outdoors today.
Well I have started packing today for Penang & Kuala Lumpur, we leave on Saturday arvo. I'm not planning on taking much in the way of clothing, as we are planning on shopping till we drop haha. Only thing is I will take enough clothing for M for the 8 days as I dont want to put unwashed clothing straight onto her. I am having a spray tan done before we leave, so wish me luck and hope I dont turn out orange!!!!!!!
Maddie still has a rattly chest, but her cough isnt as bad thank god. Also I'm hoping her ears are cleared up as she's been on antibiotics for a wk now. We are off to the doc on Fri before we go.
Is anyone else having the same problem as me, in that M no longer wants me to feed her food. She can put the spoon into her own mouth which is great, but lately she takes the spoon off me, looks at the food on it and throws it to the floor. Even with her weetbix! She has become a real terror at meal times! Also she really only wants finger foods these days. So I have been accomodating to this, but she barely eats anything now as half of it ends up on the floor. This arvo by 5.30 she was so hungry she was crying really badly. What can I do!? Is it teething do you think? Is the only wanting finger foods just a stage of wanting to feed herself? Its been going on for about 2 weeks now.
