Leemar, we are both fine. The first ding must have happened in the car park when I was in the shop, didn't know until my step father noticed it later and started giving me cr@p about my bad driving lol The second one I backed into a power pole, wasn't going fast but still managed to make a mess of my poor car.

Hi all!
Sorry it's been such a long time between posts - things have been really full on (well, motherhood; you know how it is ;)) for a while and it just got too hard to keep up with checking the forum, let alone reading & posting! But I have been thinking of you all lots & hoping all is well.
MIss S is just terrific - growing well, smiling so much (such a happy little camper), clapping & pushing herself backwards and seemingly singing along to music. Hips A-OK and reflux gone!! She appears to be weaning herself at present so it's an interestig time. We're besotted. DH & I are also both in the thick of study (me only part-time, thank goodness) which means things are rather frantic and stressed a lot of the time, but hopefully this'll improve. I have been suffering badly from lack of sleep lately which has made it extremely hard to cope at times, but think we're getting through it. Probably nothing a full-time cleaner, personal massage therapist and bottle of Baileys wouldn't fix LOL; having to settle for the last at present!
Will try tio read through everyone's news - daunting task as so much must've happened, but gee whiz - we have some happy first birthdays to celebrate soon don't we!
Much love
Queenie xxxx

Hello Queenie!! What are the odds of you happening to log on the same day I send you a message LOL! So glad you did though. I'm so happy to hear that Sasha's hips are all good now and even better that the reflux is gone now too! It's such a great age for them ATM isn't it? She sounds just delightful, you've done a sterling job :) My hat goes off to you with the study though.
Arte, glad you and W are OK, even if the car is a little worse for wear.
And a HUGE Happy Birthday wish to Marydean!!!! I hope your darling girls have been extra special to you today.

Happy Birthday Marydean!!!
Happy belated birthdays to Leila, Logan and Renee.
We had a lovely week at my parents, they were very impressed with K walking all over the place. She's still a bit unsure of her grandpa, he must look funny, so hopefully that will improve when he comes down this week. But she reached out to granny for a cuddle when I was holding her! Did lots of shopping and I think K is almost right for Christmas as well as birthday. Had a monster face plant into the couch and still has a bit of a bruise on her forehead 5 days later. Is having a bit of a shocker with very early wake ups at the moment so that isn't very good. Had to have a nanna nap this morning.
I woke up last night with really bad stomach cramps. Had the same thing about a month ago, just before AF. I'm hoping it's a coincidence, I never used to have any issues before I was pregnant. Will wait and see what happens next month.
Rainy - glad that you found a doula.
Noni - have you done another test?
Trillian - A is a little daredevil isn't he, climbing up the slide!
Arte - glad you're OK, shame your little car is worse for wear though.
Queenie - welcome back, glad that S is doing well.
MM - I'm not very good at remembering to brush her teeth, but it sits around the place and she chews on it every now and then. How are the ears going?
Renee - well that isn't a very nice way to get fired! How rude.
-
hi everyone. I am Reading and replying on my new I phone! so I guess you could say I have been very spoiled Catch up with you all tmrw as we are spending the weekend with friends. xxx

Hi everyone!!
Happy birthday to Renee and Marydean and also to Olivia, Hannah, Logan and Leila... I hope I havent missed anyone else!!
Well we are back from Bali and it was WONDERFUL we had such a great time was so good to spend the week timeless with N, but sad to drop him off to FDC this morning... it was a short holiday - I would always go for longer from now on... and also have aday at the end when we are at home, was a little mad to get everything ready for work and FDC today. the ppl in bali were so wonderful, they loved N and our friend's baby so much - we had to watch as they were whiskd away to play at any opportunity!! (restaurants, while we had massages, security guards at airport etc etc). a few dramas with the flights (just the bad service at jetstar even in bus class!!!) and one awful awful choking incident that freaked me out totally but otherwise just a fun and relaxed week for us all. Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MM i forget when you are off to Phuket (i hope i havent missed you) but a few tips to take with you... Aloe vera - N got heatrash and it was really itchy, this cleared it up and soothed a lot...a couple of pouches of rafferty vegies or something similar - mainly N ate whatever we were having but sometimes when out and about i took this and just ordered plain rice for N, a hit!!!
MD sounds like u got thoroughly spoilt - YAY!!!!!!!!!
Cally - sounds like fun in Canberra!
hi to everyone else - so sorry not many personals - too much to keep up on... but backnow!

Hi all
How was everyones fathers day? It was Rorys first so I tried to make it special. We woke up and had family cuddles in bed. Gave him his presents which he loved. His big gift was a new riding jersey and pants. I got his nickname put on the back of the jersey as well. Very happy... I then cooked up a big brekky with eggs, bacon, snags, mushies, tomatoes and had a nice breakfast. We also went out for dinner that night. Went well I think. I ended up doing an outline of Sarahs hand inside his fathers day card which I'll do every year.
MM - I'm glad that S is not the only one who isn't doing as much stuff as the rest. I have ability envy. ;) Maybe they are just taking it all in ready to show off when least expected. The health nurse isn't too worried and she looks healthy and is happy so *shrugs* not going to stress. I read your other thread about a destination wedding, hows that going? PM me if you want any Fiji hints.
Falguni - Thanks for the reassurance, you're right about the conversation aspect. They just want to talk about our beautiful babies. I think I will be using the 'tall for her age' bit tho...ta for that.
Leemar - Love the pics, looks like a lovely day was had.
Thanks Sherie for the info from the other charts. So annoying how everywhere you go it is something different. There is no standard ideals. Which I suppose is sorta good in this world of everyone thinking they aren't normal no matter what anything says.
Art - Hope you're all good from the food poisoning. And damn about the car prangs. Glad you' re okay tho.
MD - Nice work on the IPhone, are you loving it. So many people I know have got one but I am yet to have a play with one. Hope you had a great bday and I agree with Rainy...I'll add more birthday wishes after your bday boogie.
PP - So glad you had fun in bali...got photos to share?
As for the teeth brushing, I don't do it often. Its very sporadic but I do keep her toothbrush next to mine so will give it to her when I'm having a shower. Then give them a brush for her when she lets me. Lots of fun trying to avoid her chomping down on the brush tho. She thinks its a game...catch the toothbrush. Woohoo, I could market that.
I've currently got Rory beside me with Sarah and they are playing with a spare keyboard. DH will type on it and S will grab his hand and fling it off HER keyboard. So funny. She was doing the same with her grandad this morning. He rested his hand on her car seat as we were driving along and she didn't like that so would pick his hand up and fling it. So cute...little miss attitude!
Better go and feed her before she starts eating the keyboard.

Happy belated Birthday MD. Woo hoo on the Iphone.
Pregapn sounds like you had a great time in Bali. How exciting about TTC, good luck.
Kate sounds like Rory had a pretty good fathers day. We went to Maccas for breakfast lol.
Cally Logan has taken a few tumbles this week and is bruised and battered.
Noni have you tested again????
Queenie good to hear you and S are doing so well.
Arte W's birthday party sounds like fun.
We had Logans party on Saturday, it was a lovely day but I am glad its done and I can relax it feels like I have been on the go for months. I have started a new exercise program and my body is aching, I have decided I am not TTC until I have lost some weight. We want to start TTC in January so I have a few months to get back into shape.
Better run I can hear the dishes calling me, well they are really calling DH but he ignoring them lol.
-
morning all - where is everyone????
Katie - glad the party went well, we are having Noah's this sunday and i am yet to plan anything!! I have sent out the invites and that's it...better get planning i guess!
Kate - N is also not doing a lot of the things the other babies here are doing... esp not the 'active' stuff... he is babbling a lot and doing cute things like clapping hands when I sing 'if you're happy and you know it' and he can find my nose, daddy's nose etc but i guess they all just do diff things at diff times... when we were in bali he wouldnt commando crawl at all... now we are home he is back into it.. commando crawling only though and not v far!! this morning i noticed he went to the other side of the rug and then sat himself up - so thats a new thing..
geez i am babbling!
last night in the middle of the night he woke up and we heard him grabing things.. so scay DH went in and he had fuond a bag of nappy sacks and was playing with 2 of them in his cot... sooo scary, imagine if DH did not go in... major redesign of nursery needed!
-
PP - Wow, glad you checked. Nothing scarier then realising that the little blighters can reach things that you didn't think of. S is getting into everything so I am constantly doing a room scan to check for potential problems.
Has anyone seen that magazine ad where they have a picture in a park and they have labelled things according to kids? So mums are fun police, dogs are horsies etc. I love it, think its so clever and very true
S was awake at 4.30 this morning and would not go down. So I gave in and she got a feed and a play then fell asleep for another 1.5hours at 5.30am. Then had an hour at 10.30am. So a bit out of her normal routine but I was happy she went back to sleep at 5.30, I was buggered after a late night watching 90210...! Guilty secret there, but anyone else watch it?

Afternoon!
Fathers Day .. didn't do anything .. rang the boys father so Alex can have a chat .. thats it basically.
Kate: reading this post reminded me about Aynsley. I can remember your mum dragging her into my room when your mum realised I was the other Kate's friends. That was when you were in labour. I had forgetten we where in the same hosp & that Jack & Sarah were that close. Oops.
Ozstar: Jack has been drinking cows milk for some time now. He's never had a problem with it whether it be full cream, lite (cos I'm out of full cream) or powedered. He's over formula & occassionally takes the Toddler Gold.
With Alex, we weaned him onto full cream by mixing it with his formula (or you can use expressed breast milk). Slowly increasing the fullcream & reducing the formula till the bottle was milk only.
Jack has blossomed over the last week. Last Thursday he got his first molar point (first molar too) then on Friday he got a 2nd point. & on Sunday he taught himself to push the playpen across the lounge to get somewhere walking. We have a bike outside too that he uses to walk everywhere. All in half a week. He's just astounded me. Now that my nan has gone home, Jack is now saying nananan! She had been trying to teach that to him the 2 weeks she was here.
Hope everyone is well.

Congrats Andie on Jack progressing so fast. You must be proud...what a clever boy to pull out those tricks for you. lol
Yep, mum and Ayns were wondering the hospital, chatting to everyone and even went shopping during the early stages. What a support crew...haha. Nah it kept them busy at least and out of my hair.
Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a little problem of Sarahs? She has been having little chucks after her dinner every night. Not a lot most times and she doesn't seem fazed about it. In fact, only time I notice is when I see her rubbing it into the floor. lol I thought it was just the yoghurt so stopped giving that to her but she still does it. She also chucks after some of her other meals, both breast and solids. I thought it might have something to do with her not being 100% but its been going off/on for a while now.
BBL...gonna put S to bed...grumpy bum she is
