I don't know how trolls can keep their stories straight. I have a hard time remembering what I ate for lunch let alone keeping track of any fabricated stories. They must be pretty desperate to do this, it's just sad that they suck so many people in and betray their trust.
Lunch was great today...these girls were nutters (was it you Chepie?). So easy going and heaps of fun. Nothing compares to you girls but great to find people IRL as well who are so supportive.
Sherie- Sarah has found the water cooler thing and has figured out the taps on it. I have had to tell her off so often that it's doing my head in. Now she'll reach up to it, look around to me to see if I'm watching and then either go for it if my back is turned or pretend to be innocent if I am watching. Such a clever little rat. I swear she even blew me a kiss the other day when I roused on her for playing with it. Cheeky!
Cass - Yep, well I'm the silly one who asked.... Had a vague idea but wasn't 100% so thanks Sherie. Glad I could help to enlighten others.
MD - Good luck with setting the lappie up. They are never straight forward are they. Why can't they just make all of them so that you just plug the bugger in and go for it. Instead of just fart-assing around...we are not all 10 year old geniuses that can program NASAs satellites in under 10 secs. Or even a DVD player... I think I'm pretty techo savvy but these young kids these days... S has been doing that reaching up thing as well...driving me bonkers. Everything needs to be either raised or pushed back. She has even learnt to pull on the tablecloths to get to things. Argh!!!
Chepie - Hi, welcome back...don't think we met. I went AWOL for a while until semi recently so don't feel bad. Life can sometimes just over run us. Jump on whenever...and think of us as squirrels. We like nutters...
As for the vaccs, S has had egg in mixes etc but not by itself. Should I be testing her first on scrambled eggs etc first just to make sure? There are no egg allergies in the family that we are aware of and very very few allergies of any sort as well. S is still not well so won't stress about it until shes better but would help to know. I don't eat eggs so find that I don't cook them for her either.
Ange, we didn't start egg yolk until about 10.5 months, then whole eggs a little bit later but only in small quantities in mixed things. So I've just been increasing the amount and gave her a whole scrambled egg two days ago. I'd been umming and ahing because she's got a rash over her chin that seems to flare up sometimes after food but there's no clear pattern and I really think it's dribble-related. It's just flared again but she's got two more toofies erupting so that explains it really.
Kate, yes i'd be trying her on a larger amount to check for a reaction before taking her along for the MMRs. You'd expect that if she was sensitive you might have had an inkling by now but I think it's better to be safe than sorry.
MD- i have given Lu pikelets with an egg in the batter, and she has eaten a few. I would pressume this is enough to know if she had an kind of allergic reaction. The volume of the injection is only around 0.2ml and according the research i can find there are only 'traces' of chick egg protein. So i would think that as long as they have had egg in something with no reaction, then they are unlikely to have a reaction to the injection. But, as you say, better to be safe than sorry, just trying to help put your mind at ease!
sorry for the selfish post but I am feeling a little sad today, Logan has decided he doesnt want any more BF. We have gone through so much to get to 13 months so I am very proud that we made it this far. He just isn't interested any more and I wont force him. I guess the positive is that I can have my body back to myself for a little while before we start TTC.
Katie - well done on getting to 13 months, that's a great effort.
Chepie - welcome back.
Kate - K is the same with knowing she's not supposed to touch things and checking if I am looking at her. It is so hard to keep a serious face when she has that cheeky little grin and her hand reaching out.
Renee - what have you been up to?
We've done the MMR - I knew the problems in the US weren't here so we went with it. DH is very pro vaccination. The only problem we had was she had a temp 8 days after that didn't want to go down.
Well K is having her last day with DH today. Then she is off to child care on Monday. Unfortunately we don't have a nice family day before she starts - DH has cricket tomorrow arvo and all day Sunday (1.5 hours drive away). Last week he drove for 2 hours to find it had been cancelled as he left home - and no-one bothered to ring and tell him. I've put my foot down and said no more rep games after Sunday (and that was when I thought Sunday's game was only 30min away and we could go see some - and the dolphins that have moved into the lake next door).
I spent last night labelling more clothes and containers for her. Fingers crossed we don't have too many more cold spells because I've hardly put labels on the winter stuff.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Fingers crossed the weather is nice and we can spend some lovely outside time.
Katie - It's a sad day when they wean themselves isn't it. Great big hugs to you. Hannah weaned herself just before her 1st birthday. I do miss that close contact, but i can still have a snuggle while giving her a bottle.
Cally- How annoying that they didn't call him!! I bet he's had a wonderful holiday with her, and will be sad to go back to work
I'm having a love/hate relationship with the rain at the moment . It absolutely bucketed down this morning when i had to take the girls to school. Hannah was the only one who remained dry. Looks like i'll be in for more rain at pick up time too. Oh well. It will be nice to come home and get toasty warm and have a hot chocolate.
