Chepie, I really hope that your TTC journey is short and sweet when you decide to start travelling it. It's very daunting to think taking that step to have #2. I remember the day I did the pg test with my second as soon as the positive showed up I said "****! I'm not ready for this" LOL. But it's all good.
Cindy, I wanted to ask how did J go with choosing a photographer for your wedding? He's a photographer himself isn't he? (or did I remember that wrong?)
Renee, glad to hear that Rory is well again.
Noni, I think Asha's diet is fine. If she isn't hungry she wont eat it. Besides she could do this now and in another year she will be living on fresh air alone LOL
Well, 6 years ago today (at 7.50am to be exact) I gave birth to my second child, Erin Kathleen, she weighed 8lbs, 8ozs and entered this world with a hearty cry (and didn't really stop for the next four months LOL) and her arms open, ready to embrace the world. Now she's 6 going on 16 She tried to put one over me today though saying that her belly was sore and she couldn't go to school She must think I was born yesterday LOL. I told her if she didn't go the other kid in her class who shares a birthday with her would get all the birthday wishes
And My new oven is working beautifully! I have yet to cook in it (am about to make a cake for Erin) but the inquisitive Master A is going to have to learn the hard way I think that ovens are hot because we had it on earlier to test it and the first thing he did was put his face on the glass to have a look in there and he kept going back whenever I moved him away.
And Leanne, the washing machine take2 LOL is going great so far.
And yes, we will all get $1000 per child just in time for Christmas to keep Mr Rudd happy by boosting the economy As much as I don't agree with the payment in principal, I certainly wont refuse $4k.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ERIN... Hope you have a wonderful day
\
Re the Rudd Money- Nope I wont be receiving and what a bummer it is too cause it would have come in handy for chrissy. Oh well they better hurry up and cough up with the child care rebate they owe me as I need it to pay for fees.
i tried posting earlier this morning but the site crashed on me
so here is take two!!
WHAT RUDD MONEY??!! ME WANT!! how did i miss this news??
Renee: oh i am soo happy that bubs is feeling better today. i was reading through the posts and he sounded so crook the poor thing.
Sherie: yay on the stove! you lucky duck! i still have the smallest stove in the universe. a baking tray doesnt even fit in the 'oven'.
and congrats and big hug for E's birthday. i had to laugh at the crying non-stop comment!
G: the photos are awesome! i always wanted to be a pregnant lady model. can you get some belly gigs?? that would be so cool and WTG on scoring clothes. I LOVE the tracksuit b/f top!
MD: woot woo on only 2 weeks to go! look where true exercise fails, there's always my favourite back-up plans of waxing, manicuring and pedicuring, oh and a wee splurge on a welcome home outfit! LOL!
arrghh i forgot all the other posts! i am shocking.
AFM: well we had a FANTASTIC day. DH just found out that he received a massive research grant from the government (YAY!). so although he is in wollongong ATM we are celebrating down here!
Yes sherie you remembered correctly, we do have a photography company so we had one of our employees shot our wedding. It was the easiest detail to arrange Not to mention I got to do my own photoshopping
Have fun cooking with the new stove
We won't get the rudd bonus either
Cassius - Congrats to your DH on getting his grant. Have fun celebrating !
Rainy - I'm off to look at your pics (assuming their on your profile here ?) Yeah I think I'm having a girl too, we find out on the 29th I suspose.
Hamish is definately teething again, fun ! He still wakes once at night and mostly wants mum not milk or anything else, just cuddles. Lately I havn't been able to get back to sleep for hours even tho he is only up for 5 mins tops. So Joel is doing nights from now on and hoping that when he realises his not getting his mummy fix then maybe he'll go back to sleeping thru. This pregnant mummy really needs her sleep these days.
Hey, well I thought S was over pooing in the bath but guess what? Yep, poo fairy came avisiting tonight. Luckily all in the tub and Dh had to clean it out. He thought that he could get away with just pushing it down the drain... stupid man.
Damn...gotta go. BBL
i feel so lucky reading all these poo stories that lewis has never pooed in the bath *touch wood*
i have to say, i'm pretty excited about the $1000! i really need it to buy some stuff for the new baby. if it's a girl then i need $10000 lol
ange- looking forward to swimming on wed but not looking forward to wearing bathers. have you got maternity ones?
we've made a decision to stay in melbourne for xmas. i'm really really happy and excited about it. we've got so much to do around the house, and it means we'll save heaps of money from not travelling.
are all your bubs still sleeping in cots? when do you plan to go to bigger beds?
can you go straight to a single size bed with rails or do you need to get a toddler bed?
ROFL Rainy! So true about needing the 10k! sooo many cute things for the pink bundles! LOL!
yeah i was wondering about that too. we so do not wanna buy another cot, and are hoping to stretch L out until she can go to the big bed. but i think we are too early at this stage...hmmm
Havent had the chance to read through the old thread, sorry.
Happy birthday to Erin!!
Maddie is pretty much walking now, well....she walks a bit, then crawls, then walks and on and on. She also LOVES dancing, I think I have a little dancer/performer on my hands, which I am so happy about because I am secretly hoping she becomes a famous pop star one day lol. Her fave song to dance to is Gwen Stefani's what you waiting for....omg she just goes nuts when it comes on, does body rolls and all HAHA.
Whats this about the $1000 thingo? Who is eligible?
morning everyone,
sherie- happy birthday erin!! hope she has a great day and the cake turns out well! yay on having a new oven how exciting!!
madsmum - lol @ the dancing, asha is quite the mover and shaker herself lol and is very fond of music.. your eligable for the 1000 per child if you receve family tax benefit part a..
rain - also wondering about the bed thingo, id convert ashas cot into a bed now if i thought she wouldnt fall out coz shes really not fond of the cot at all.. as for going straight into a single bed id think it would be ok as long as it had the rail coz its a bit further down if they fall off..
kate - eeep about bath poo lol weve never had that here thank god.. although now ive said that it will probably happen!!
jg - ashas a bit the same with her sleeping.. i dunno how you deal with it preggie, when asha wants to get up at 5am i feel like crying as it is!!
cassius - congrats on the grant the rud money is just a lump payment before christmas that he is giving to pensioners and people who get family tax benefit part a.. the idea is that people will spend money and boost the economy.. im with sherie on its actual merit lol but ill take the money anyway!!
anyways best be off ashas finished her breaky and wants to get out of the high chair...
Rainy we aren't moving L just yet but thought when we do we might put a single mattress on the floor with the bed rail until he used to all the space IYKWIM, then we put the frame up. He will also be changing rooms so it will be a big adjustment. Personally I dont think you need a toddler bed.
Sherie Happy BIrthday to Erin. I hope she had a wonderful day. Yay for the new oven.
MM L is a dancer too, he gets right into it. Hows all the wedding stuff going?
JG Logan is teething too, his poor bum is so red.
Cassius WOOO HOOOO on the grant, what wonderful news.
AFM not much going on here. Got a new camera on Tuesday and am totally in love with it. Cant wait to get some photos of L. Shaved my legs this morning and just realised I missed a big bit, I hate that lol. Better go give L his breakfast.
Just a quicky, wil catch up later. Rainy, i have some LARGE bathers which will do. It aint going to pretty, but i figured you wouldn't mind! But if i don't do something about my bikini line someone might call the RSPCA about the road kill. Will get onto that.
Re the Big Beds, We Moved the boys up when they were nearly 2 and put them straight in to normal single beds didnt bother buying that rail thingie just pulled out the single mat that was under there bed but to be honest they never fell out. The transition was really smooth for us. Took about 1.5 weeks to get them to stay as they thought it was a game of us putting them in and then they get out and hide in the hallway thinking we didnt know they were there but we just keep putting them back in and eventually they fell asleep. I am hoping to do the same with liv. Oh they still sneak out sometimes and hide in the hallway thinking we carnt hear or see them. lol.
Swimming was great and the boys and Livi loved it.
Oops gotta go I have someone waiting for me.. be back on soon....
We put the others in to big beds when they were 2-ish cause i needed the cot for the next baby LOL. Well not in Paige's case anyway cause I wasn't pg then, but yeah she was about 2 as well. We never worried about toddler beds. I never had a rail or anything, but I did pop a pillow under their mattress to stop them rolling out - it's much much harder for them to roll uphill kwim? We are getting the boys bunkbeds in another year or so.
Ange, I'm having a bit of a chuckle at your road kill I think it was the best thing ever out when it became fashionable for women to wear boardies swimming so I didn't have to shave it.
Katie, I hate that too when I miss a spot. What sort of camera did you get?
Noni, I just had a thought about Asha's eating. Do you give her mostly high GI foods? If you do they will burn up quicker, making her hungry again sooner, so if there were a few things you could swap to low GI, it might make a difference.
LOL H at Maddies dance antics. I bet she's a real groover LOL. You'll have to video it.
G, I love not having to travel at Christmas too. I totally kwim about spending more on girls
LOL Kate, he'll only do that the once I'm sure.
Clare, excellent news about the grant money. How much *more* will it allow him to do?
NOt a lot going on here today. Just a bit of washing and I will clean the house later tonight when all the kids are in bed and DH is at work. It's easier that way cause Alister is always right behind me pulling it all out again lately. So for the time being the house looks a bit like a hovel LOL.
oh gawd sherie, tell me about hovels! DH leaves for a couple of nights and it's as though a bomb hit the place! LOL! housewife i am not...
The good thing about the grant is that it is a mega payrise and it means that he can do his own research for the next 5 years!! he has to have a couple of books published at the end, but that's his thing so he is pretty stoked. he also got a better grant than what he applied for so is on top of the moon. told me to buy an expensive bottle of champers...guess i should wait for him to come home before drinking it though!
Leanne: thanx for the bed tips. i'll try to hold out on her for a bit longer then...
Ange: LOL! Ahhh just like Sherie said, boardies were the best! these days i have to leave the grooming to the professionals.
Oz: i always miss the bit at the front of the ankle. so annoying.
what camera is it?!
MM: i LOVE the dancing! they just boogie on down and reckon they are so awesome. unfortunately Leila takes after her father in the dance department and so leaves alot to be desired...
AFM: well at uni. made it despite having to do it all on my ownsome. cant wait for DH to come back! i miss my morning sleep in!
i dropped Leila off at kindy today and i was soo hungry, i saw them eating this really yummy spaghetti bolognaise and i had visions of pushing all those toddlers outta the way and just going for gold! man i am hungry!
Oh lordy I feel mentally wrung out after finally submitting the job app - omg it was soooooooo haaaaard to remember stuff after being away all this time. I couldn't really write "I'm experienced in using the thingy database, the corporate thingy thing, and the personnel doosy whatsit" ARGH.
Clare, my advice - buy two bottles, one for you and L and whatever GFs you invite around , and one for DH when he finally turns up. LOL He need never know (unless he takes out the recycling). Congrats to him, BTW.
Trill, oh I'm so familiar with the hovel state. I told someone that I'm usually up late and folding laundry and she looked at me like I was mad, why wouldn't I do it earlier in the day??? Because SOMEONE unfolds it as fast as I can get it in the basket!! LOL How did birthday girl E's cake turn out (photos please)! You did such a good job with the others.
Rainy and Noni, after your comments today you're both in line for some bath poo karma LOL.
Rainy are you feeling happier and calmer today?
JG - Yay for J doing the night shift! DH getting up to DD1 was really the main thing that stopped her night waking once and for all.
Oh Gawd E is so freakin whingey today. She's having a spat right now because I won't let her play with the modem cords! I bet she's coming down with something. Why can't those germs just STAY AWAY! oh dear it's escalating. s to anyone I missed.
MD, Alister tantrums over the littlest things and today he's been a shocker! he gets this really grouchy voice going sort of like Cartman from South park. I just did a slap up job on her cake for last night because I'm making the real deal for her party on Saturday, which is going to be the ballerina one from the WW1 cake book but without the back drop (cause it will be too hard to transport). But I'll be sure to post pics of it. I so get what you mean when you say you can't get in the right head space to write 'proper' words LOL. So do you think you will be successful? (I know you'll knock 'em dead, but wanted to know how you feel)
Clare, LMAO at you knocking over toddlers to get to the spag bol. WOWEE at the grant he got, I can see why he is so stoked about it.
