Another quicky from me - too tired from being out all day.

Leanne, huge for you hun. My heart is breaking for that little boy. I'm sure he will love and cherish all that you've given him - you're a very special person.

I picked up Erin's cake from the bakery for tomorrow and guess what? Instead of an 8inch ROUND cake, I have an 8 inch SQUARE cake!!!!! I was so effing mad (pardon the french by by golly I was cranky) and she said 'are you sure you ordered a round one?' and I told her in no uncertain terms that of course i was sure I ordered a round one because I can't possibly make a ballerina cake with a bloody square one! Plus the woman on the phone when I ordered it said that she couldn't give me a price for a round one at the time because she wasn't 100% what the price of it was. She asked if i was still going to take it and I said yes, because I have no choice at 3pm on a Friday afternoon but to take it, but I certainly wasn't paying full price for their stuff up. So I got $5 off it. She probably thought I was a b1tch, but how hard is it to circle the box with ROUND written in it and not the one with SQUARE? - she showed me the order form and everything.

Trill, bummer about the cake! I am sure you will have made it work somehow.

Cally, how is your DH's thumb? I hope he didn't need surgery. How did this week at daycare go?

Pregpan, I read your other thread about N holding his breath - that must be scary! I hope that he stops it soon

MD, sounds like W and E are at about the same stage with talking. Most of what he says is deh-deh-deh with the odd word thrown in. He has been doing quite a few one off words too. Yesterday I was eating cheese and crackers and offered him a bit of cheese - he put it on my leg and said clear as day 'cracker' and took a cracker instead. I couldn't get him to say it again though. Has E started walking yet or is she being a good girl and holding out for daddy to get home? So cute that she took herself off for a nappy change too! What a clever girl!

Clare, yay for the new word, so cute when bubbas use their manners

Noni, hope Ashas tooth comes through soon. I think you summed me up before with ...oh, look a castle...oh, look a castle... It is about my level of funtion these days lol

Leanne, have you been to Nicks party yet? Hope it goes well and the little fellow feels really special.

Ozstar, hope L is better today. This year seems the worst for horrible gastro! Just about everyone has had something and they all seem quite violent and nasty.

Nothing new here, a pile of housework I should be doing but am on here instead lol

    Hi Girls,

Well Nicks Party was late yesterday arvo at McDonalds and at first it looked like he sort of didnt know what to do with the pressies... But my boys certinally showed him what to do. The look on his face when he opened them up was priceless and I was so excited for him. But at the same time sad cause his mum didnt even buy him anything. Oh well at least he got heaps my me my sil and my mum. My Cousins wife was going to pay for mcdonalds for him for his birthday but then my mum stepped in and said he had to pay for too much already and mum paid for mcdonalds. My other cousin who is like my sister her name is Sandi and I went today and got them heaps of meat and fruit and vege and dropped it off. They were very thankful but it was the least we could do and as we were leaving nick was on the porch give us a big smile and a wave goodbye so awwwh I feel all fuzzy inside.

Livi also has cut a molar and is now very sooky.

    talk soo

Hello to everyone and I love you all

aaawww leanne your mcdonalds story made me smile

ooohh arte i can't believe how much talking will does! i'm trying to teach lewis to say 'spooky'- dog's name...but so far, nothing!!! i swear one day he's just randomly going to come out with dp's favourite word....the one that starts with f

sh8t sherie!! what ended up happening with the cake? was it all ok in the end? i HATE incompetent customer service, it seems to follow me everywhere i go!

clare- how was the expo? buy much?? do you use cloth nappies?

hayey- i'm soooo excited about your wedding. sounds perfect. i wish i was in perth where are you going to get your dress from?

katie- how's logan going? i hope he doesn't have gastro as bad as lewis and i did. it was horrific!

noni- what do you do for asha's nappy rash? lewis has got it really bad atm too, he's even got some on his little doodle, ouch!

md- thanks for asking about me, i am feeling a little better about the whole thing, but still going over and over in my mind some of the things she said to me. i'm trying to work out why i let her get to me so much when dp and i both know she's an irrational fwit.

ange- yes my bikini line is a shocker! might have to pull out the old rusty razor and have a hack!

well once again i'm sitting out here alone on a saturday night sitting on bb! what the hell has happened to my social life? do any of you still go out on saturday nights?

lewis and dp have both crashed out in my bed together and i've got the baby moniter on and all i can hear is dp snoring!

there is a disgustingly foul smell stenching through our house and i spent all day trying to work out what it is. dp climbed up into the roof cos he reckons a rat must have died up there or something but we can't find anything. it's driving us crazy!

well i've got my repeat scan on monday, hopefully the little buggar is better behaved. i reckon it was hiding away cos it didn't want to hear my mil's grating voice anymore.

Eww Rainy, check under the floorboards too. Sounds like a smellydeady of some sort. OR check your drains, if they get blocked it can be ponkeroonie - we had some mysterious and unthinkably stinky drain blockage here when we moved in, even the plumber was gagging (!) Also, check in the backs of electricals - ie vent thing on back of fridge, inside washing machine, the little blighters get in and die there sometimes too.

HA HA HA HA ......um, no!

Arte - yes E is walking (there's a vid on FB) - started um about 2 weeks ago. Now she's walking everywhere even when she could be crawling. That's hilarious about 'cracker'. Bet you don't hear it again for another few weeks though . Keeping us on our toesies!

Sherie, man I think I'd have been screeching at the woman in the shop! I mean, HELLO? Not difficult to pay attention when someone is telling you what cake they want? Anyway, looking forwards to hearing how it turned out, you're so resourceful so I'm sure it'll all be great!

Leanne, the party sounds priceless! That stuff is soooo important for kids, to feel valued and loved.

Clare, don't worry we get the spaz attacks too (usually food related LOL). Or her latest trick is the 'silent tantrum', where she turns her back and crawls face-first into the corner and stays there and ignores you. Soooooooo cute I'm sure I laugh every time she does it!!!

Katie, I hope L is feeling much better and you've caught up on your sleep.

Oh drama here, there's a fire at the local historical homestead, DD1's giving me a running commentary on the fireengines cos we can see the whole thing thru the dining room window!

Noni, I always thought the ideal break (for us) would be about 4 years...then the eldest is well and truly out of the pram, toilet trained, starting to go to kindy, can dress self, obey simple instructions etc, when you have the second. Only it didn't quite work out that way. I think that's why DH rushed off to get his V, cos i was starting to say things like "Well we could go for a third in 3 or 4 years..." LOL.

just a quick one - rain for ashas nappy rash we use weleda nappy rash cream u can get it from health food stores its a natural one that actually works if you go on their site weleda dot com they have a list of retailers.. asha even had blisters this time poor lil chooky but theyve all cleared up now..
some different things to try are
    - air it out as much as possible
    - mix up cornflower and water into a paste and paint it on (they do this in some hospitals)
    - stop acidic foods until the rash has cleared eg, pears, apples, oranges, tomatoes and juice
    - change him more than usual until it has cleared
umm thats all i can think about for now if its a very persistant rash you might wanna see a health nurse or gp coz it could be fungal or bacterial which both require different soughts of creams some over the counter and some perscriptions
anyway ladies must be off dp is out and asha is going through my handbag eeeeek

stink is a bit better today, but we still can't locate it. dp went under the house, into the roof, checked all nooks and crannies....idk
