Sarah had her first haircut today! Just the fringe bit as it was in her eyes but aww, my baby is growing up. Got a couple of photos as well as the cuttings so when I eventually get around to scrapbooking then I'll be set.
Got another doctors appointment tomorrow. Still no AF so maybe a blood test? POAS has been negative so far so not holding out too many hopes.
Finalised the dates that we are going to Fiji next year so now just keeping an eye on prices for flights to get a bargain. We'll be over there for our 3rd wedding anniversary. It'll be the first one that DH and I will have spent together. 1st was spent at a Pink concert with my sister (after finding out the sex of Sarah) and the 2nd DH was away for work.
I have read all the posts but can't for the life of me remember much about what was said.
    Gotta go S has awoken!

    Ok Very Selfish Post coming...

Sorry Girls but I am so upset I really need to type out whats making me so upset so by
tomorrow I will not be crying anymore. Well I hope any way... so here it goes...

Yesterday My SIL told me whats going on over at one of my cousins houses.. My cousins sister and her 3 sons are now living with them by order of DFS. My Cousin is married and he and his wife have a daughter who is 4. His sisters sons nick is 5 tomorrow the other is about 3 I think and the baby is 9 mths old. Ok she is a drug addict and her baby was born a meth baby. She is now on a meth program. Finding out all this made me so sad and cry yesterday for her kids. Those poor babies... Ok fast forward to today. My cousins wife rang me to ask me and the boys to nicks 5 bithday party at mcdonalds. Of course I said and she told me a bit on what was going on. Again I was sad and wanted to know what the kids needed ie cloths, toys etc. She then asked me if
I was going to be at work for a while cause she needed a booster seat that my cousin left at work..(he works for us) I said no worries come on down... She arrive with nick and OMG he had just been to the dentist to get a molar pulled as it was rooten I then noticed his front teeth were missing and asked what happend. They had all rotten away. He came over to show me and all I could do was hug him so tight and cryed and cryed and cryed and I am still crying... My cousins wife is doing a fantastic job with all of the kids at looking after them now its a wonderful job she is doing. Those boys now all sleep on clean beds and wear clean cloths I hate to think of what there life was before. I really just feel the need to give them what ever I can. I told her that if the boys become to much to handle then just bring them to my house and I will care for them. God I feel so bad for those babies what a life they have already had to endure because of my relative. I hate her for that. So tonight I went though all the boys stuff and anything that didnt fit them I put in a bag... OMG my boys have so much cloths I filled 3 garbage bags full and they still have heaps in there cupboards... I rang my SIL and she is going to give them all the shoes and cloths she has too.
so now I know the kids will have enough cloths. For his birthday my sil and I are going to buy him heaps of trucks and cars as they dont have any. It just breaks my heart that my Cousins sister would not only do this to herself but her children too.

Ok so now I am starting to feel a bit better. And am going to tell my cousins wife to bring the kids over to my house when ever she wants too cause I would love to have them and the boys would enjoy playing too.

Please I am so sorry for raving on and it probally doesnt even make sense I really just needed to get it out of my head so I could stop crying and get on with making a better life for those beauitufl little boys. Which has now become my mission.

Leanne, what a horrible situation for those boys. I am glad they have such a caring extended family to look after them now. I hope you cousin can sort herself out so they aren't always dragged down by her

MD, yay for getting your application submitted. It was good timing, I take it as a sign that you are meant to have that job.

Clare, you can just use a normal bed and get a bar thing that slides under the mattress and makes a barrier. If W ever sleeps though the night then I will shift him into a normal bed. I am hoping that he will be ready after our trip away at christmas time. Congrats on the grant!

Ozstar, what sort of camera did you get? You are one up on me - I haven't shaved my legs for ages lol

Ange, thanks for sharing your story of no-cry sleep success. LOL at your roadkill

Hayley, yay for walking! I am envious of the dancing babies. I am not sure if it is because he is my son and therefore has no natural talent or if it is because we never really have music playing, but W just can't dance - unless you count tilting his pelvis forward or holding his hands together and hitting his groin. I am waiting for him to put the two together lol. He could take lessons from Mr Bean and it would be an improvement lol

Kate, good luck at the doctors.

Rainy, thanks for the advice about the milk. I had forgotten all about giving it to him, he seems happy enough to run around with the sippy bottle in his mouth and isn't wanting boob constantly now.

I didn't laugh because I don't want to get hit by karma again, but the toilet stories were quite amusing. Thankfully W hasn't bothered too much with that but I did catch him standing on one soggy wet foot and dipping the other in the dog water the other day.

We finally have another new word - he stands in DH's ute and puts his hand on the horn and says 'baap baap' (beep beep). He is very proud of himself, he kept saying it last night when he was supposed to be going to sleep. He has also become obsessed with shoes - I was watching him yesterday and he spent ages trying to get his foot into DH's boot and then he stood there and giggled. It is very cute.

Oh Leanne, big big hugs, I know what a shock it is to find out the grisly detail of how neglected some children really are. I'm sure their lives are going to be a million times better now that they are having contact with normal caring adults like your cousin and of course your gorgeous caring family. They really need to know they are important enough for adults to want to make the effort, kwim?

Kate, far out for the hair cut! E's still pretty bald at the front, her hair's mostly grown in around the back where she has curls so it still looks short (but a lot more hair than when DH left)!

Arte, LOL at Baap baap in the ute! That cracked me right up. Glad you got a result with the sippy cup.

E is talking chat chat chat all day long and she now points and says something that sounds like 'whatthat' so that you tell her what it's called. She's started repeating words you say and every so often she says somethign that's clear as a bell (just parroting, you don't hear it again) but it's a crackup every time. She also says 'teddy' all the time now too and I'm pretty sure we're getting 'drink' as well. This morning she patted her nappy to tell me she had a poo, then toddled off to her bedroom (turning around to make sure I was following) to the change mat ready to get it changed! Clever lil sausage.

Trill, I'm really not sure. While I have the skills to step up for a promotion (there are 2 levels advertised) I think it might come down to the fact that they are FT positions but I want to negotiate PT...so it might rest on me convincing them the extent to which they will get value for money by hiring me for the number of hours that I want, and where a PTer will fit in the team. Plus it's not clear to me whether there's someone who's already acting in that position (tried to weasel it out of the contact person but no joy). But mostly I just feel like the universe is gonna land the perfect job right at my feet (like it did last time). So while it's a pain in the tedious butt to have to write the application I'm just totally not stressed about getting a job. Because I know how damn good I am at what I do. BTW I'm PMSL about A doing a cartman, that's hilarious.

    Hello yummy mummies

    I am falling behind again.

MD your miss E sounds like an absolute delight.

Noni my house looks like a tip so don't worry.

Arte W sounds so adorable and sooo clever.

Leanne sending you some huge hugs lovely.

Kate lucky you going to fiji, I reckon you could squeeze me in your suitcase???

L was sick last night, he was fine all day put him to bed and he woke up crying I settled him and went outside to make a call. DH comes running out carrying L screaming that he needs help. L had power chucked everywhere. Cleaned him and the chuck up and then yelled at DH for making my heart stop and making me hang up on a friend lol. He has had a little chuck today and is asleep already. He wont eat but is drinking water so at the moment I am not to worried. Tried to have him in bed with us but he is a bed hog and at 12am I had had enough and put him in his cot, needless to say I am a very tired mummy today.

Aw leanne mega big hugs to you and the bubs. man life can be really tough.

Oz: sounds like gastro has made an unwelcome visit huh? hopefully it will pass quickly .

MD: you go girl! cracked up about Miss E toddling off to have her nappy changed. all we get from Leila in that department is a spaz attack under the high chair when dinner takes too long to arrive...

Noni: oh no! you poor things. it's so hard when they hurt like that and cry and cry. we had a night like that last week. nothing was able to settle her. hope that rascally toofie gets out soon!

Arte: man will is so amazing! love the beeping noise! if i were him i'd be so proud as punch at myself!
thanks for the info on the beds. i think we'll need to wait a bit longer than christmas. i want her to be walking before i move her up (dont know why, just feel she would be safer i guess...)

Kate: WTG on the haircut! i am still too sentimental and have bought a million clips to tie her hair back cause i cant bring myself to cut the locks! did you go to a hairdresser or did you do it yourself?

AFM: well Leila has a new word!!!! and it's in italian!! she has learnt to say 'grazie' (thanx)!! so proud of her!!

off to the baby and kids expo tomorrow....YAY!!

Another quicky from me - too tired from being out all day.

Leanne, huge for you hun. My heart is breaking for that little boy. I'm sure he will love and cherish all that you've given him - you're a very special person.

I picked up Erin's cake from the bakery for tomorrow and guess what? Instead of an 8inch ROUND cake, I have an 8 inch SQUARE cake!!!!! I was so effing mad (pardon the french by by golly I was cranky) and she said 'are you sure you ordered a round one?' and I told her in no uncertain terms that of course i was sure I ordered a round one because I can't possibly make a ballerina cake with a bloody square one! Plus the woman on the phone when I ordered it said that she couldn't give me a price for a round one at the time because she wasn't 100% what the price of it was. She asked if i was still going to take it and I said yes, because I have no choice at 3pm on a Friday afternoon but to take it, but I certainly wasn't paying full price for their stuff up. So I got $5 off it. She probably thought I was a b1tch, but how hard is it to circle the box with ROUND written in it and not the one with SQUARE? - she showed me the order form and everything.

Trill, bummer about the cake! I am sure you will have made it work somehow.

Cally, how is your DH's thumb? I hope he didn't need surgery. How did this week at daycare go?

Pregpan, I read your other thread about N holding his breath - that must be scary! I hope that he stops it soon

MD, sounds like W and E are at about the same stage with talking. Most of what he says is deh-deh-deh with the odd word thrown in. He has been doing quite a few one off words too. Yesterday I was eating cheese and crackers and offered him a bit of cheese - he put it on my leg and said clear as day 'cracker' and took a cracker instead. I couldn't get him to say it again though. Has E started walking yet or is she being a good girl and holding out for daddy to get home? So cute that she took herself off for a nappy change too! What a clever girl!

Clare, yay for the new word, so cute when bubbas use their manners

Noni, hope Ashas tooth comes through soon. I think you summed me up before with ...oh, look a castle...oh, look a castle... It is about my level of funtion these days lol

Leanne, have you been to Nicks party yet? Hope it goes well and the little fellow feels really special.

Ozstar, hope L is better today. This year seems the worst for horrible gastro! Just about everyone has had something and they all seem quite violent and nasty.

Nothing new here, a pile of housework I should be doing but am on here instead lol

    Hi Girls,

Well Nicks Party was late yesterday arvo at McDonalds and at first it looked like he sort of didnt know what to do with the pressies... But my boys certinally showed him what to do. The look on his face when he opened them up was priceless and I was so excited for him. But at the same time sad cause his mum didnt even buy him anything. Oh well at least he got heaps my me my sil and my mum. My Cousins wife was going to pay for mcdonalds for him for his birthday but then my mum stepped in and said he had to pay for too much already and mum paid for mcdonalds. My other cousin who is like my sister her name is Sandi and I went today and got them heaps of meat and fruit and vege and dropped it off. They were very thankful but it was the least we could do and as we were leaving nick was on the porch give us a big smile and a wave goodbye so awwwh I feel all fuzzy inside.

Livi also has cut a molar and is now very sooky.

    talk soo

aaawww leanne your mcdonalds story made me smile

ooohh arte i can't believe how much talking will does! i'm trying to teach lewis to say 'spooky'- dog's name...but so far, nothing!!! i swear one day he's just randomly going to come out with dp's favourite word....the one that starts with f

sh8t sherie!! what ended up happening with the cake? was it all ok in the end? i HATE incompetent customer service, it seems to follow me everywhere i go!

clare- how was the expo? buy much?? do you use cloth nappies?

hayey- i'm soooo excited about your wedding. sounds perfect. i wish i was in perth where are you going to get your dress from?

katie- how's logan going? i hope he doesn't have gastro as bad as lewis and i did. it was horrific!

noni- what do you do for asha's nappy rash? lewis has got it really bad atm too, he's even got some on his little doodle, ouch!

md- thanks for asking about me, i am feeling a little better about the whole thing, but still going over and over in my mind some of the things she said to me. i'm trying to work out why i let her get to me so much when dp and i both know she's an irrational fwit.

ange- yes my bikini line is a shocker! might have to pull out the old rusty razor and have a hack!

well once again i'm sitting out here alone on a saturday night sitting on bb! what the hell has happened to my social life? do any of you still go out on saturday nights?

lewis and dp have both crashed out in my bed together and i've got the baby moniter on and all i can hear is dp snoring!

there is a disgustingly foul smell stenching through our house and i spent all day trying to work out what it is. dp climbed up into the roof cos he reckons a rat must have died up there or something but we can't find anything. it's driving us crazy!

well i've got my repeat scan on monday, hopefully the little buggar is better behaved. i reckon it was hiding away cos it didn't want to hear my mil's grating voice anymore.

Eww Rainy, check under the floorboards too. Sounds like a smellydeady of some sort. OR check your drains, if they get blocked it can be ponkeroonie - we had some mysterious and unthinkably stinky drain blockage here when we moved in, even the plumber was gagging (!) Also, check in the backs of electricals - ie vent thing on back of fridge, inside washing machine, the little blighters get in and die there sometimes too.

    ETA
what the hell has happened to my social life? do any of you still go out on saturday nights?
HA HA HA HA ......um, no!

Arte - yes E is walking (there's a vid on FB) - started um about 2 weeks ago. Now she's walking everywhere even when she could be crawling. That's hilarious about 'cracker'. Bet you don't hear it again for another few weeks though . Keeping us on our toesies!

Sherie, man I think I'd have been screeching at the woman in the shop! I mean, HELLO? Not difficult to pay attention when someone is telling you what cake they want? Anyway, looking forwards to hearing how it turned out, you're so resourceful so I'm sure it'll all be great!

Leanne, the party sounds priceless! That stuff is soooo important for kids, to feel valued and loved.

Clare, don't worry we get the spaz attacks too (usually food related LOL). Or her latest trick is the 'silent tantrum', where she turns her back and crawls face-first into the corner and stays there and ignores you. Soooooooo cute I'm sure I laugh every time she does it!!!

Katie, I hope L is feeling much better and you've caught up on your sleep.

Oh drama here, there's a fire at the local historical homestead, DD1's giving me a running commentary on the fireengines cos we can see the whole thing thru the dining room window!

Noni, I always thought the ideal break (for us) would be about 4 years...then the eldest is well and truly out of the pram, toilet trained, starting to go to kindy, can dress self, obey simple instructions etc, when you have the second. Only it didn't quite work out that way. I think that's why DH rushed off to get his V, cos i was starting to say things like "Well we could go for a third in 3 or 4 years..." LOL.

just a quick one - rain for ashas nappy rash we use weleda nappy rash cream u can get it from health food stores its a natural one that actually works if you go on their site weleda dot com they have a list of retailers.. asha even had blisters this time poor lil chooky but theyve all cleared up now..
some different things to try are
    - air it out as much as possible
    - mix up cornflower and water into a paste and paint it on (they do this in some hospitals)
    - stop acidic foods until the rash has cleared eg, pears, apples, oranges, tomatoes and juice
    - change him more than usual until it has cleared
umm thats all i can think about for now if its a very persistant rash you might wanna see a health nurse or gp coz it could be fungal or bacterial which both require different soughts of creams some over the counter and some perscriptions
anyway ladies must be off dp is out and asha is going through my handbag eeeeek

md- who got evicted from idol last week? i'm watching it now but can't work it out!
stink is a bit better today, but we still can't locate it. dp went under the house, into the roof, checked all nooks and crannies....idk

Raino, it was Thanh. I thought he'd go all the way but he was far too inconsistent. I'm rooting for Chryslin and Wes now, though I haven't seen tonight's performances yet. Ok, well for the stink, I recommend firing up your essential oil burner, nice clean smells like lemon, lime and geranium should do the trick!

noni that's an excellent trick about the cornflour paste, I might try that next time E has a problem. Seems to be related to toofies here.

Rainy good luck for the scan tomorrow, I hope your little one behaves. I had to giggle at your suggesting any of us have a life on Sat nights, I certainly don't lol. We do like to BBQ on the weekends though.

MD I think I have added you to my FB, well I hope it was you anyway lol.

Leanne sounds like a good party.

Clare woo hoo on Leila's new word thats so cool. DH wants L to learn Italian but he can hardly speak it himself lol.

Arte lol at W saying cracker, how cute!

AFM I took L to the Dr today, in the last 3 days I have managed to get about 2 bottles and some banana into him and thought I had better just make sure it isn't any more serious then a tummy bug. The Dr was lovely and said it is just a bug and should clear up in the next couple of days. L seems much better this afternoon and even managed some toast. Now Dh is sick and has spent the afternoon throwing up. Its all fun in this house lol.
