Congratulations to Rainy on your exciting news!! I'm sure those two little fellas will be great mates. What's the other news?

Clare - congrats to DH on his grant.

MD - not long to go now!

Noni - congrats on making the decision to start TTC. Did it take long with Asha?

Trill - shame the cake didn't turn out as good as you were hoping (through no fault of your own!)

Leanne - so glad those kids are having a better life now.

Well K is at childcare today, but I am home (feeling a bit guilty). She came down with a bad cold at the end of the week and was sick all weekend and just did a short day yesterday (I was at work and was just about to leave early as was feeling so crap when the centre rang up to say they thought her temp was a bit high). Went to the doctor this morning and she is on the mend. But she gave it to me and I feel terrible. Headache, sore throat, running nose etc. This is the worst I've felt since before I was pregnant, but I am really missing not being able to take drugs!!

DH's thumb is still sore - found out he has to travel at least 1.5hrs to ortho surgeon (if he ever rings to make an appt) which is a bit of a pain.

Now to go and lie on the couch and blob (and try not to look at the floor which is so dirty and I shouldn't have to clean as it's not my job, but probably will anyway - might have to bring up housecleaners again with DH). Should still be able to vacuum the floor with a broken thumb.

CAlly, that's not fun, hun! Make sure you keep up the hot drinks, have you taken some panadol, got the fess up your snorter, slapped on some Vicks etc? Also a hot flannel over your face always helps.

Ange, yep, def a schlumpadinka! tho I think schlumpadinking is as much a state of mind as a 'look', kwim?

WEll I'm in blergh mode today. I think I need a post in the boohoo room not here. And another milestone here today -the biggest most leaky spready poo we've had in the history of both of my children. Ew all thru her pjs, I hate to think what it might have oozed on before I changed her!!

Cally - hope you're feeling better soon. Luckily Katie got over her sickness quite quickly.

Ange - Hannah has one of those couches too, although Zoe seems to have claimed it. H likes to lay down and have her bottle on hers.

JG - i hope H's needles don't hurt him too much today.

    Hi there girls,

hope this works as BB keeps crashing away on me...wahhh!

Rainy: ohhh you are full of surprises! I wish i could have some more excitement in my days!
can't you order the pram online? bummer.

MD: oh yeah, the countdown must be on for you girl!
WTG on the poo Miss E! love the exploding ones...there to remind you you are alive.

Cally: hope you beat the cold soon. heat pack sounds like a great idea.

Ange: ooohh i DID see you! LOL! i was hanging out at the stand peeping over someones shoulder. i saw you showing them the fastening system. seemed like they werent really getting it...that said, grandma was a bit feisty on the q's!

AFM: well we just had a 'creative dance' class today. have to say that i am finding the whole concept of organised activity a bit overwhelming. i like the swim class but i think dance is a culture onto it's own. i noticed a few snooty glances from the mums with older, better rule follower kids...oh well. L LOVED it! she thought it was a blast, but poor mummy found it a bit too much...maybe we'll stick to something like music class, she loves the bopping and whacking of instruments too and that is something i enjoy also.
    hmmmm...

Well, looking for the silver poo lining, there have been far smaller poos that were a lot more deadly, at least this one wasn't massive AND superstinky, kwim?

Clare - oh yes, beware the dance class set! Same goes for calisthenics, and girls gymnastics...oh, that's unfair of me, I'm sure there are some lovely classes around without that vibe, but to a certain extent they do attract the primadonna, queenbee type mothers! Watch Razzle Dazzle if you haven't already seen it, total hoot!! Luckily H has learnt dance thru exposure at home, and my classes, also some of the cultural dancing types attract less of the snootiness. Can't wait to get back to Adel and sign E up for the music group that H went to, they're fun!

JaZaH & Ange, I'm in the market for one of those couches too. Thinking Good old Santy might have one in his sack this year. H had one, it was bright red and blue and totally didn't match our house, so I'm looking for one that's not quite such an eyesore LOL.

Clare- i think i know exactly the grandma you are talking about!! lmao. The poor pregnant lady was getting grief from the mum and the grandma. I don't think she had a choice in cloth or not. She was doing it b/c they said so! The grandma was swearing at me when i told her they weren't manufactured in Aus anymore. Very funny.
Some mums eh? I had a good chuckle at the wanna be balarina mums now living through their daughters. Can't believe they were trying out their own moves, classic.

MD- did i read that right? Do you teach a dance class? Poo is driving me a little nuts ATM. Although *touches wood* i think we are at the end. Lu had 'loose' stools for about 5 weeks! It was driving me nuts. We had a couple of solid, roll off the nappy types the last two days though, so that's good.

I used to do gymnastics from about age 5 to 15. When i was 15, the club i went to closed down, so i went to another club and the girls were such biartches i only went once. That was the end of that! Probably good, i discovered boys about the same time. lol. A bit wary of any kind of dance for Lu, all for the reasons mentioned.

I can see Lu's eye teeth coming down, *prepares for blonde comment* does that mean they are on their way through the gum? Or can they sit there for months?

Um, no I don't teach although my teacher has hounded me to for years. Bellydancing. But I was going along to a couple of classes a week (for practice) for a bit and sometimes H would come along, attend haflas with me, etc. I'm a bit out of condition now and my pelvis is still a little unstable so I haven't done any at all since I was about 7 weeks pg. But that doesn't stop us from prancing around the loungeroom hehehe.
