hello girls
hayley- yes i'll be sure to let you know mil's reaction. i really want her to find out 3rd hand, as this would hurt...so spiteful i know, but i can't help it! i would love to tell df's aunty and let her find out from her (they don't get along, df's aunty is lovely). oohhhh i'm such a nasty biatch!!
pp- glad you're having a rest girl, you need it! i know you've said it before, but what do you actually do for a job again? ggeeeess i thought my job used to be quite busy and stressful but i get stressed just reading your posts.
md- i cant believe you don't have a rock :o i think you should go out this weekend and buy yourself one. i would!
noni- would you put dd in cc one day a week?
btw, just to let you all know ange has no internet connection and lu is a bit sick but they're doing fine.
-
thanks clare - so maybe i will add some weetgerm to his morning mix - justa little! btw i am WAY into weetbix already!!! i wanted them for dinner last night but DH wanted something 'real' - what's with that??? how can he not know weetbix is all you need!! LOL!
good luck with the present shopping....
MD - I agree a rock is a must have for you... get him onto it!!! btw when do you hear about the job?
-
rain - yeh just the one day a week.. if we can afford it.. i just found out my ccb so now i am waiting for a call back from the childcare centre that i called this morning, they were in the middle of graduation for the pre schoolers lol.. so once i find out what the fees and things are if it sounds like we can afford it ill go check them out and see if i like them and well start 1 day and see how asha goes if she really likes it and we can afford it i might go to two, but then i think id have to get a real job rather than just these catologues lol.. tho im thinking of starting avon at the same time lol but just doing it to family and friends instead of having an area.. were pretty tight money wise atm so i am trying to think of little things that might help...
-
where is everyone today - LOL where is my entertainment!!!!!??????? come back!!! i have to post now, we are about to slip off the 1st page LOL!
ok a bit of a whinge - i am SO tired, it is terrible and debilitating!!! i hope this ends soon... much worse than last time.
also not much of an appetite, though trying to eat as i know i need to... sob sob sob - there whinge over!!!
noni - how did you go with the child care centre? if you go back to work what would you do? back into child care? have you thought more about doing FDC? - i know there is a big shortage now.
Avon sounds like a good idea, a friend of mine also does learning ladder which is great toys etc, this is a nice idea (you would also meet HEAPS of mums)
Rainy - when is your trip again? i hope the weather improves for you.
Clare - how was the party - any voilet crumble this time for miss L? and what pressie did you buy?
-
wow it is really quiet in here today!! lol after all that the childcare centre rang me back and said they dnt take bubbies till they are 2 lol oops..
pap - as for working id probably go back into childcare its the only thing i know i can get a job in lol and ive got a certificate 3 and some other training in it... i dont think id be allowed to do fdc coz we rent here.. avon lady is coming this avo lol im gonna be dreaming about catologues with the other ones im doing as well.. we just really need the money lately were just scraping it in and often having to rely on credit cards which have hardly anything on them anyway ughh hopefully things will look up soon...
-
PAP - I'm here, although only because I'm supposed to be doing my boring removals paper work! LOL Learning Ladder is a great suggestion for Noni - they have excellent stuff in their range. Maybe you're more tired this time because you've been doing a lot more?? Glad you took the rest option, you'll feel really sick later on if you get too tired.
Starting to wonder myself when I'll hear about the job. Hopefully soon as another section has advertised and it would be good to hear in time to save me from writing another application...although I do note the selection criteria are remarkably similar so I could just trot out a copy LOL.
QLD - OMG I finally saw on the news the sort of damage y'all had - calling out the Army so it must be bad! Hope it's not too much disruption for you. xxx
-
i'm back here :)
pap- i feel bad calling you pap cos it makes me think of pap smear...
um yes i am going away tomorrow. am sposed to be going swimming in the morning but ange isn't going cos lu has an ear infection so i've decided not to go too cos there'll be too much running around etc. in the morning.
i''m feeling a bit upset cos there's supposed to be 25mm of rain and thunderstorms over the next couple of days and i'm just feeling really ripped off as i never go away anywhere and the one time i do, this happens. lewis has never been to the beach so i was really looking forward to it.
i think you really need to slow down some more hun, all that tiredness is your body telling you what it needs. dont forget you've just come off a year of broken sleep and have probaby built up a 'sleep debt' that you wouldn't have had last time- well, not as bad anyway!
md- i'm surprised you haven't heard anything yet. how annoying!
noni- is there another cc near you? cant you do fdc if you rent?
-
ha ha i also think pap smear rainy, maybe i need to go back to my old name...
oh hon, i am sure you will have an amazing time anyway and it will be good to get away, but i understand your disappointment, how many days will you be there - maybe you will get one nice day so L can go to the beach...
yeah i am taking things as slow as i can given my workload etc... and dh is being great, he can see how shattered i am. am trying to listen to my body, it is hard though bc the pregnancy doesnt seem that real iykwim.
MD - yep trot out the old app -they will never know!
Noni - bummer re the child care centre - any others around? i didnt know you could not do fdc if you were renting, they are so desp for ppl that i didnt think that woudl matter to them (or is it the landlord that would have a prob with it). then again, doing FDC wouldnt exactly give you 'baby free' time would it!!! but it would help with the bills...
-
Rainy, are you kidding? Rainy weather on the beach is amazing - very therapeutic. Anyway you could always get out there and do a go-away-rain dance LOL. Might not work but it'd be FUN...note the operative word FUN. Totally understand the ripped off feeling though, just try to make the most of it whatever way you can  A break is a break is a break.
Noni I can't believe they don't take under 2 yo"s! It must be an occasional care centre??
-
sorry guys i'm just feeling sorry for myself
i know we'll still have an ace time and the girls i'm going with are really funny, so it will be great. there's also lots of big surf shops down there, so im gonna buy lewis a totally over-priced surfy hoody or t-shirt :) he'll look so cool with his blonde curls in a quicksilver top! ha ha
pp- the pg is totally real!!!! so is mine!!!!!
-
ahhh well im not that set on the childcare thing i just have my moments that make me wanna do it.. as for the fdc yes it would be the landlord wed have to get it past unless i just found like friends or friends of friends and i managed to do it kinda under the table and not get acredited and then theyd never know but i dont really know anyone who needs it...
ahhh well lets hope lots of people around me wanna buy avon.. it is atleast coming up to christmas and people will want things that way.. same with the other catologue (like i said im gonna be dreaming catologues) theyve relocated me to my own area so i dnt have to walk as far so ill give that a go too lol i mean somethings gotta work surely!!!
md - nope theres lots of long daycare centres that only do 2-5s all the ones ive worked in have never had a "babies room" as they called them..
-
Ok ladies...........help me here.
I know that you are meant to get BH earlier with subsequent pregancies but Im getting them a little too regular for my liking. They are a bit painful (not extremely tho) but geez the intensity is like what I felt while being induced with H........
Please tell me this is normal.........Im starting to fear that a preterm (longterm) scary is on the way like I had with hamish. Plese please let me be wrong. It was torture and then I didn't have a toddler to chase after .
Tighenings are 7 mins apart and have been like that for 45 mins. What do you ladies think....sherie any thoughts dear ???
-
Gosh JG, I really really hope it's not that again. I'm not sure you'll really know unless you get it checked. Have you tried resting, does that make a difference?
-
Im going to try to drink a couple of glasses of water and lay on my left side for a bit and see what happens. I remember that advice from last time. Dehydration can play a part so I'll give that a go.
-
Gosh Cindy, I remember how bad the irritable uterus was for you last time  Maybe a nice long shower might help? My BH's never really changed from one pg to another. have you taken any panadol for it at all?
ETA - I forgot to write the rest of my post LOL!
BIL was over earlier with some piccies of Oliver and OMG he's the spitting image of Erin as a newborn! He has a heap of dark curly hair and he's pretty cute. I was looking at all the pics thinking 'oh, he looks a lot like his big brother' (DN1 is 2.5yo) and then when I had a second look through, there was one pic where BIL is holding him and I said to him, 'holy crap he looks like Erin did!' so I went and got a pic of her that was a nearly identical pose and facial expression and they could pass for twins. Erin is a lot like MIL when she was a child, so I suppose a familial likeness between our children would have popped up sooner or later. He's all out of proportion, but still looks in proportion though LOL - he was 8lb 9, but his HC was only 32 (what I wouldn't have given to have a baby with a head that small) and length was 56cm (BIL is 6'4).
Today Alister was like a little Capuchin monkey all day! You know the little cheeky ones who will pinch your stuff - like Geoffrey Rush's monkey in POTC? He would want something and then throw a tantrum if he couldn't have it/get it and then once he got it he would scurry off and sit on his haunches like he'd won a prize and he just looked like one of them LOL, squealed a bit like one too. Like he got a can of coke out of the box and was playing with it. I took it off him and he threw a tanty and then went back to the box in a defiant 'well bugger you Ill get another one' and when he couldn't he threw a bigger wobbly and came back to the sink where I'd put the first one, so I ended up giving it to him and he took off looking like the proverbial cat getting the cream.
-
cindy- hope you're doing ok now
sherie- that A is a cheeky little monkey isnt he???
enjoy the rest of the week ladies, i'll speak to you all friday night
-
Rainy, have a great week. I am sure that the weather will be nice for at least one day for you. BTW, I fully hope your MIL finds out third hand, I would get a smug satisfaction from that if I were in your position.
Cindy, hope everything is alright
Trill, A sounds really cute! Don't they look adorable when they get something they aren't really allowed lol.
MD, hope you hear about the job soon. Its a government job isn't it? They always take ages to reply
Noni, I am still TTC. It does seem that everyone else is getting preg but what can I expect if I am stalking the TTC threads lmao. Have you asked the daycare centres if you can come and just stay there with A and play? Our local daycare lets you come and use all the stuff as long as you stay and look after your own kid. I know it isn't baby free time but it gets you out of the house and gives A something to do.
Clare, you can't buy a house for half a mill???? That is just madness! Have you considered a sea/tree change? For that amount here you would be living in a brand new 5-6 bedroom home, two bathrooms, double garage on a quarter acre with uninterrupted mountain views. The only downside would be the lack of jobs to pay for it lol
I just went to music and heard about a friends sister who is in hospital about to have a baby. She has a kidney stone which can't pass because of the bub so the block is causing her kidneys to fail. She (and hence bub) have been on pethidene since last thursday, she was full term last week but they won't get the baby out. Her midwife put in a formal complaint and now they are doing the worlds slowest induction - gels for three days then breaking the waters on friday. Honestly, you would think if an 18 year old is going into kidney failure they would just c-section the baby out!
