Sitting at home today wondering why the boys are fighting so much. Jack wants so much to do with Alex & what Alex is doing but Alex wants his space.
Have noticed that Jack has a tendancy to hit Alex when he's in a bad mood, or he hits me playing.

On a diff note, I was sitting on the loung with my feet on the foot stool when Jack climb on the stool & stood up. He lost balance, & fell with his head between my knees & bum in the air.
He has this climing thing for attn cos he knows I don't like it, so when he climbed I caught myself b4 i reacted. Not going to make a big fuss over it & see if it settles.

    BBL for personals xox

    Hi ladies!

Noni - Ohhh you poor thing, I hope this ms passes soon. Hope the bands work, you'll try anything with ms hey!

Cally - Hmm the biting sounds painful. We have been doing much the same as you with this issue, its hard isnt it. Keep at it she will take the hint soon enough.

Andie - Hopefully not reacting to Jack's climing will stop him. As for the hitting out at others, M has started this as well. Funny how fast they grow and begin these little behaviours.

    Trillian - Good luck!!!!!

Leemar - Aww glad your DH is coming home!

Just wanted to say, we are coming to Melb next week and the reason why I havent organised a meet up with you Melb girls is because I simply dont think I will have any time free! Knowing how much of an organised person my SIL is, no doubt she will have each day planned out. I hope you didnt think I was being rude and dont want to meet.

Another little behaviour that M has started is yelling/screaming for attention. At home I tend to ignore it and say 'use your indoor voice please', (which I know she doesnt understand yet but one day it will sink in lol!) However at the shops lately she does it. Today I was in posh country road, (usually I dont shop there but I have a voucher) and she was yelling and screaming, it was beginning to get on my nerves and a tad embarrassing. In the change room she got even louder. I tried everything. In the end, I took her hand, gave it a little slap and said 'No yelling'. Ohhhh did she cry. I felt terrible! Is this the right thing for me to do, are there other alternatives? I always told DP I dont want to be a mother who smacks but today I have given her a slap on the hand, I think I let my frustration get the better of me. Its not a hard smack at all but I think she knows it means she's in trouble iykwim.

On the other hand, I discovered today that country road sell kids clothing and I never knew before.....uh oh!

Ohh forgot to mention, I am becoming an ebay queen like MD. MD you will be proud, I got an absolute bargain that arrived today. A pair of current season clarks sandals, only worn by the previous child for a month and in great condition for $10 plus $7.80 in postage!! Bargain considering the lady paid $60 odd. They fit M perfectly.

Also our marquee that we bought for our wedding (cheaper to buy off ebay than hire can you believe) arrived today. The guy came to my door saying 'your exercise bike is here'. Huh!? Soon figured out it wasnt my exercise bike, it was meant for someone else, it was our marquee hahaha! Could have ended up with a bike instead!!

Hayley: LOL on the bike. Glad it was sorted quick.
Once method I've read is that if they tanty's in a shop (or anywhere) to take them out & take them home & if you keep it up they should learn. Haven't tried it myself, cos its too much hassle for me to go back out.

Jack was standing on the table again trying to get my attn when he got Alex's & Alex wanted to climb on the table, bumped Jack & Jack dived into the floor
But Alex helped settle him & gave him a kiss on the head.

    Hi ladies,

Hamish seems to be turning into a little boy overnight..... He sings and does the actions to the hokey pokey, twikle twikle little star and itsy bitsy spider. Walking and talking more each day, he can say bird, ball, ballon, more please and the usual mum, dad, nan, op etc................. I think he's very clever

He's been a bit clingy towards me at the moment. Is this an age thing, anyone else experiencing this. He won't let Joel do much for him if Im around, mummy do he almost says or just whinges till I do.

Hope the surgery went well Sherie and your resting at home dear.

Hope your feeling better soon Noni - I know what you mean about worrying if the sickness goes away, we can't win hey ?

Madsmum - its hard to know whats best to do hey ? I have tapped Hamish hand before before it didn't seem to do the trick so I usually do the distraction thing but that can be hard if not impossible while out shopping. I keep a stash of books and small toys under his pram that he only sees once in a blue moon and try to distract him into playing with those. Sometimes it works , sometimes it doesn't. Arn't the CR kids clothes cute.....pricey but very cute indeed.

Andie - hope the boys had a nice afternoon for you. Alex sounds so sweet !

    Hi MD

Cally - Im sure the biting thing will pass soon enough. Could it be a teething thing or is it more of a frustration thing do you think ? Hamish has pulled my hair a couple of times out of frustration - I wish I knew the answer to this too.

Leemar - Enjoy your christmas party and congrats on DH being home. Have a lovely weekend with the family.

Hi Falguni - Hi dear, how you been feeling ?

Cassius - Enjoy your holiday dear, are you guys heading away or just chilling at home ?

Joel is working tonight but I really need to go get organised. His sister and her 4 girls are coming to stay for the weekend. I need to make spare beds and clean the guest bathroom. I sooooo do not feel like doing that after working all day and just doing the dinner/bath & bed thing with Hamish. I could easily sleep for a week I reckon.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Talk soon.

    Wow I've missed a lot!

JG L's the same.. I'm hoping its an age thing and passes soon! I've had either carry or sit him on my lap all day!

Andie that's cute that Alex kissed Jacks head

MM hope you have a good time in Melb! L screams for attention too.. I've no idea what to do with him so usually just walk away.. Thankfully he hasn't done it while out!

Sorry can't see any other posts right now and I can't for the life of me remember anything...

I took the HPT and it was a BFN sorry to keep you all waiting. We had fish and chips tonight and L absolutely loved it! He ate quite a bit of fish and of course his beloved chips hehe

    hi girls!!

MD: thanx for the tips...i'll hunt down the thread and change my ticker ways...

Nella: sorry to hear that it was a bfn. can be a bit of a slap in the face, if only they could come up with a nicer way of saying no.

    mmm fish and chips...

JG: ooh i know, they really are becoming little people arent they?!!! i love it, love seeing their gorgeous little selves appear.
we are going to be hanging around melbourne. we have an invite to a friends house for xmas day so that should be nice (ie not feel too abandoned!). we will be off to tasmania in the new year for a family holiday (we figure we should get one in before we become chained to a mortgage)...that's the plan anyway! what about you guys???

Noni: eewwww morning sickness is the pits. i managed to avoid the vomiting with Leila...have you christened the bowl yet?? LOL!

AFM: well i have bit the bullet and will be getting us a 'my wee ride' for xmas. kinda a joint xmas pressie for the family. i cant really ride with leila on the back, she is constantly getting herself into all sorts of inexplicable positions on the back and i can only turn around occasionally. i tried out a friends wee ride with L in it and we both loved it. so here it goes....

Sorry to hear of your BFN Nella - Hope next month will be the one for your guys

Cassius - Your plans sound great. I've never been to tassie but have heard it is lovely. I have about ten days off while the courts shut down, we will try to go away for a few days when we have Georgia probably get a beach cabin down the central coast which is not too far to travel but has heaps of fun things to do closeby.

We are doing the big family lucheon at our place (whereever that may be atm with the move and all) but I love it and don't see it as a chore at all. I love christmas baking etc...

Joel and I are slipping away for 2 nights on the 16th /17th Dec though cos its my birthday and we always try to go away for B'days. So looking forward to it, relax, sleep in and a little fine dining I think will be on the agenda

Yes the little personality is cute to watch develop. isn't it Hamish has the exact same sense of humour as Joel, they are already feeding off each other in the jokes and pranks department (god help me in a few years). They both make me smile and laugh everyday. Hamish is very sweet and affectionate but at the same time has a wicked sense of humour and is very playful.

We nearly fell of the bottom of the page!!

JG, it is so amazing how quickly they grow isn't it! W can put his shoes on by himself now, such a big boy.

Nella, sorry about the HPT, hope you have a lucky december again.

MM, sounds like it is hard going with Maddies tanties! I don't have any ideas of what to do in that situation. Well done on the ebay bargains.

MD, yip, keeping myself entertained over the ditch. I think today we are going to buy a house lol. It is el cheapo but has lots of potential. It is so flippin hot, I haven't had a north Island summer for about 8 years and forgot how penetrating the sun is. You step outside and it feels like you are starting to frizzle like pork crackling.

Cally, hope the biting stops soon. W has been biting my boob a bit lately too, what makes it worse he does it with a huge grin on his face, the little bugger.

Trill, hope yesterday went well and you are feeling o.k

W's newest trick is to come over to me yelling 'MUMMA MUMMA MUMMA' and holds out his hand to give me something - a fly. It either flies away and he goes away with a big smile to catch me another or it falls to the ground and he looks sad and says 'ut-oh' lol

HaHa MD, the fly catching sounds impressive but he is far from Mr Miyagi plucking them from the air with chop-sticks - he just stands at the sliding door and catches the slow dumb ones lol

LOL art - Rory has a hard enough time catching the cats haha.

Hayley - Ive given Rory a few smacks on the hand. He tests me to see how far he can go sometimes. Like you , I dont know if its the right thing or not.

Hey Renee! I was just doing the dishes and thinking about you and thought I would send you a message on FB and then here you are! Congrats on TTC#2 and becoming an aunt. Sherie is having an op today but she is usually around, her user name is Trillian now (can't remember how long ago she changed it)

MD, there are no shops around here, if you are bored the only thing you can buy is a house lol. Not sure if they will accept our offer though, they wanted $125k and we offered $110K.

OMG Arte I wish we could buy a house for that price, we wouldnt have a mortgage to pay! Ohhh the bliss. I really hope you get the house, fingers crossed.

Renee - YAY you are back! Good luck with ttc, how exciting! I hope R has a baby bro or sis soon. Thats good news about your SIL, she must be excited but a tad nervous too? Glad I'm not the only one who has given a few 'hand taps'. M also does the same as R with pushing to see how far she can get. Little terrors!

Trillian - Hope you are recovering well.

Nella - Next month I'm hoping you get your bfp!

Clare - Whats a wee ride?! Never heard of it. Tassie sounds nice!

JG - Thanks for the toys tip I might have to give them a go. Lucky you having a couple of nights off! Enjoy!

Clare I was wondering the same thing- what in the world is a wee ride?

Renee good luck with ttc hope its a short journey for you!

Arte hope they accept your offer. I'd smacked Ls hand too. He's such a terror.. He knows its wrong and does it anyway! How clever is W catching flies! L ignores them completely..

Trillian how're you recovering? Hope you're feeling ok..

Thanks for all the msgs re the BFN. Its just one of those things atm if it happens it happens if it doesn't it doesn't. I'm ready but not sure L is.. At playgroup the other day he wanted to play with a 4 month old but he's just so rough.. I was holding her earlier in the day and he came up and screamed and tried to climb on my lap! DP and L have both been asleep for an hour or so and I'm bored! I cleaned up and am now watching Mcleods but can't really get into it.. Would be the perfect time to scrapbook but I need more supplies

Can feel a selfish post coming on.....

Is anyone still getting up to their child during the night, or am I the only one!? I know the past week she has had her ear problems, but I would have thought that after 3 days on antibiotics it would be improving by now? Panadol doesnt seem to work, last night painstop did not work either. I feel absolutely exhausted and I really feel like lack of sleep is starting to affect my parenting. We are going to Melb this week and I can just imagine she will keep the whole house up all night. I'm starting to get desperate, I just need sleep. Last night I got SO angry with her, I dont know where the anger came from I am usually an easy going person (I've kinda realised that possibly my pill is affecting my mood & changing me into a moody cow). I feel so guilty today that I got that angry with her, watching how cute she is now dancing to hi 5. I'm the worlds worst mum!!

MM, you are NOT the worlds worst mum!!! It is really hard to function on very little sleep. W still wakes 2-4 times every single night. Luckily for me though he just has a feed and goes back to sleep. I find myself vague just coping with that, don't know how I would get by if I had to stay awake longer than a few minutes. I really hope the antibiotics kick in soon and she starts to feel better.

Thanks Arte, its good to know I'm not the only one still feeding at night. Last night she had two 240ml bottles during the night, not because she needed them but because it seemed to be the only thing that would soothe her to sleep....for 10 mins lol.

Hey everyone! Just quickly cause I can't sit for too long. Lap went fine - bit sore and sorry still and shoulder tip pain an absolute KILLER this time (for those that don't know they bloat your stomach with gas to see everything in there and you often get residual pain from the gas up in your shoulder or under your ribs until your body absorbs it all and it hurts!) and it only just went last night. Otherwise it's OK - my navel is quite sore, but the other two incision sites are fine. So i"m just poking around doing little things here and there that I don't have to bend over to do and just taking it easy. DH got the kids to help him clean the entire house yesterday while I rested in bed and he did all the washing too - but now I have to fold it all always the way! My gyno will call me later this week to let me know what they found/didn't find etc but he did send some stuff off to pathology - one of the nurses told me that.

take care and Ill catch up properly soon!
