Will be back later for more but couldn't leave without telling Ange that story is absolutely hilarious, I would have been laughing to (until it was time to clean up).

just a quickie from me.....um..arte, can i just say, that i've seen your photos on fb and you are not even close to FAT!!
Noni, how did the visit at the cc go? Was it a nice place?
Marydean, ROFL about the diet food - I brought a packet of weight watchers 'chips' a few weeks back, purely for the reason that they would offset the dip I was going to eat them with ;) and OMG they were AWFUL!!! It was like licking dip off cardboard. I had one packet (multipack of 6) and they are still in the cupboard.
Oh, the cryptic message PP posted is just a glitch from the latest forum upgrade.
AFM, well we have 3 more days of swimming lessons thank god! it is so tiring for all of us to go there each day through the week (weekends off though). But it's been worth it - Lindsay is swimming now and Erin isn't far behind and Paige will even get her hair wet now ROFL. They got a pool from Mum for Christmas (one of those ones that are self-supporting and stays up as you fill it with water) and it's not huge, but still decent enough for them to practice swimming in (a bit over 2ft deep) and it's been great. DH and I even tested it out too on Thursday night when it was really really hot *wink wink*.
Alister has become somewhat of a challenge with his eating of late too. He's a grazer like Erin was, so he finds it hard to eat a large meal in one sitting (which is what he used to do) and now prefers to graze all day. It causes DH endless amounts of frustration at meal times (just like it did with Erin ROFL) but I've learnt it's best to just let him go and keep things handy for him to pick at during the day. So he'll eat less than half a slice of toast for brekkie, but come 9am, he'll have fruit and rice crackers and this is how it is over the day usually. The only thing he will eat loads of is pasta - mac cheese if I make it, or spag bol/lasagne and even just plain tortellini/ravioli etc. He eats meat too and most veges, except for spud - he hates it just like Erin did at that age. So he's not what I would call a fussy eater, because he'll eat everything except potato, its just the way he prefers to eat.
I brought him his own cutlery set too (cause he will only eat if he can self feed) - a cute little set of a knife, fork, dessert and teaspoon from Maxwell Williams for $7 - stainless steel too! And he knows they are his, he will search through the drawer for them when it's time to eat and will take it and climb into his highchair.
I've turned into a middle aged lady too of late - I went and brought a basket to lug all our gear to the pool in ROFL. It's quite nice and modern - not a bit of wicker in sight, but I feel like I've turned into my MIL. But it's one of those ones that collapse down and it's bright red so it's not dowager-style. OOOOHHH and that's the other thing! GREY HAIR!!! They are popping up all over my head and they are quite obvious when I pull my hair back. Not sure whether to dye them or embrace them yet.
PMSL Sounds like you don't need to install a pool heater, plenty of sizzle your way ;). Are you implying that the having of a basket makes on middle aged??? *blink blink* Hmmm? *blink* If that's the case I must be about 70 or something. LOL and re the grey hair - DYE for godsakes woman, you are far too young to be embracing them yet!!:
DH and I even tested it out too on Thursday night when it was really really hot *wink wink*.
Noni, I'm dying to hear about hte CC centre...fingers and toes crossed that it's just perfect for you!
E is a bit of a trial with the food. It all started on Christmas eve when someone decided to give her free rein to teh dip and bicckies plate, now she's constantly sea-gulling whatever I'm having (which is usually wildly-inappropriate-for-a-growing-toddler diet food) and then refusing dinner! However, she's plumped up a bit and grown a lot so nothing to worry about there.
Oh there I go again talking too much!
But I'm sooo slack with maintaining my colour and I never get it re-done LOL. I think I will get it coloured though. ROFL about the basket thing. It's just that around here all the *older* women use them. The thing with Alister's eating though is that he isn't plumping up at all - he's super skinny and you can count each of his ribs. he is growing taller though, so it's not like he's not growing, but just not gaining weight. He really bugs the other kids when they are eating though and will throw spectacular tanties and squeal (OMG the squeal he lets out!) until they give him some. Like just now, he's come into me, pointing and sooking and I know he wants a nectarine because I know Erin just got one, so she's gotten one for him too and no he's just taken off, happy as larry! It's frustrating.
lewis is a super fussy eater and drives us crazy with it. i might have to give mac cheese a go sherie, i hadn't even thought of that till now.
btw, i agree with md on the hair thing- dye, dye, dye! just do it yourself, the packet ones are fantastic these days i reckon.
md- you never talk tooo much, it's great! we love it
In my defence my typical choice of basket is ala funky african not little-red-ridinghood-wicker...does that help? I bet he's skinny looking cos he burns it all off, not because he's not eating enough.
Whats wrong with little-red-riding-hood wicker??? :p
Aint nothing wrong with wicker, I just don't "do" country. At all. Not decor, not quilts, and most of all not music! Just ain't my thing. But I am partial to a cane storage basket here and there.:
Whats wrong with little-red-riding-hood wicker???
 For the record i don't own a wicker basket either. Oh except one i use for washing. ;) Just stirring! :p
I guess you would cringe at the fact our bridal waltz was Keith Urban- I wanna love somebody like you then?!
Lol you ladies make my day! All this talk about baskets of all things :)
My cousin & his DP had a baby boy today! 3.2kg not sure on length still waiting to hear. He's nameless too for the mean time just like Loki was :) they also have a daughter who was born in June '07.
L grazes all day like Al does too. Lately he's obsessed with damn tiny teddies!
Congrats to your Cousin Nella! I hope they come up with a name soon. Tiny Teddies are a hit here too
Ange, we had Alan Jackson's "Buick's to the Moon" for our wedding.
MD, I don't really *do* country either - at least not the decor, it's in the same catgeory as "shabby ****" to me PMSL! But I have a thing for old country music LOL.
G, I don't think I'd be game to even attempt to do it myself now - I don't think I would get the uninterupted time. I would much rather pay for it. Definately give the mac cheese a go.
ooohh nooo i missed all the chatting!
welcome back Sherie!! phew was beginning to panic! lol!
oh i wish i had a nice pool thing...got a shell pool but somehow i dont believe it will 'sizzle' with DH and I in it...maybe crack under the pressure!
we too had to get L some cutlery. maxwell williams rule in that department. she loves them and feels like a proper big girl now (well, apart from the food face that inevitably follows)
wonder where PP ran off to??
Noni: i can just picture you scrutinising the DVD! you are so funny! let us know how the search for CC goes...
MD: i totally bought that brightly coloured african woven basket we saw together at the Oxfam shop...found it really really hard to give as a present, so wanted to be greedy and keep it! But the chick i gave it to loves it so i guess i should be happy
Nella: you have opened up my world with tiny teddies. will have to give L a go with them.
Leila is still eating like a horse. the girl packs it away who knows where. like Alister she is all skin and bones but has really skinny legs...so maybe they are hollow? LOL!
AFM: well all ok considering the last week. DH and I are being very careful with eachother which is foreign for us, but if it gives us the time we need to lick our wounds i am all for it.
also i had to (finally) have my baby tooth removed at the dentist today. i mean seriously how many needles does it take to get a baby tooth out??? i didnt like it. and now i have a cracking headache. BUT i still managed to throw a dinner party (DH invited the neighbours around)....
Hey I just noticed something, Sherie are you not a mod anymore? Did I miss that ages ago lol?
Off for a run and then will try and catch up.
I sure am still a mod - I just changed my user title is all. My username is still bolded though.
Clare, we do the skirting around each other thing too after a dust up. usually we just need a couple of days, then we're over it. I hate having teeth removed. I used to be a dental nurse and saw it all from the *other side* and it totally turned me off LOL. I hope the headache goes away soon.
hey everyone,
sorry im sooo not keeping up im sooo tired right now! i woke up 5 times last night and only 2 of them were because of asha grrrrr and then she like to get up pretty early too so i am just buggered!!
the ccc was good dp came with me coz he finished work early so he got to look too which was really good.. we really liked the place and will be enrolling asha next wednesday to start going once a week on a monday.. its only about a 15 minute walk from here which is good for me.. its a small centre they only have 5 babies on the premises at any one time and the babies do share a room with the 2 year olds alot of the time, which wouldnt be good for some people but works out really well for us coz asha loves older kids :) their staff were really nice and well qualified as well as the director also very nice and an ECT which i was happy about.. i feel really comfortable with it and asha was already playing and waving at the kids and trying to kiss them lol so i think it will be good for her too..
now to find something to amuse her the other 4 days im home alone with her lol!! oh well mum takes her swimming once a fortnight and we are actually looking for some other swimming lessons once a week because its not really enough for her once a fortnught because she isnt getting used to it really.. gymbaroo starts again soon but we will be doing that on a saturday now because its been quite hot and its about a 25min walk from the station as well as dp pretty much always running late to work because he had to drop us at the station in the mornings lol.. library time was nice but it clashed with sleep time and made the bus a nightmare trip and it really didnt go for very long considering how far we had to travel.. ahhh well.. ill figure it out eventually lol i dont wanna take too much on when im this tired anyway..
katie - off for a run? wow i wish i was that motivated!
clare - hows the tooth feeling now? (well the space where the tooth was hehe)

hi to everyone else hope were all having a great day!!
Trill I just noticed you didnt have the "if I write in this colour etc" near your sig. Lol
Noni glad that the CC looks good, will be nice for you to have a break and for Asha to play with other kids.
Clare I hope the headache is gone, ouch at having a tooth pulled.
Nella congrats on the new addition to your family.
Arte I agree with the others, you are so not fat. Sorry to hear you didnt get the news you wanted though.
So for all the PG ladies, when are you due dates? I will have to try and keep track.
