i am sure things are fine with your bubba, are you finding out the sex? Imagine how adorable a little girl with N's hair would be, awww cute little curly pig tails.
pap- i think you're def having a girl and she'll have wild noah hair LOL
don't worry about the movements, once they start you won't know what's hit you.
katie- i think that's great your dh is so supportive of your home birth. my dh would never go for it. who will you have in the room with you?
lol girls - a girl with Noah's hair = me!!!!! i am sure the next baby will have the black curls, both dh and i have them.. so no escaping. when i wash N hair now it is over half way down his back - sorry rainy but i think i am going to have to cut it, i ams ure it makes him hot! he has so much of it, sooo cute but now a bit crazy and my whole wait til he is 3 thing cant happen!
for some reason i also think it is a girl. but that is just bc this preg has been so diff so far, we are finding out but i am ok either way.
pap......
i have a confession to make....
i got lewis' hair cut a couple of months ago
*rainy runs and hides now*
PAP I hope it is a girl but either way it will be a gorgeous little bundle just like N.
Rainy do you have names picked????? No idea who I would have in the room, I want my mum there but she is in Sydney. We dont really have anyone here except BIL and I aint having him there lol.
Why do our kids have to have so much energy??????
ha ha ha!!!!! so i am the only one with a drowned rat as a son!!!!!!!!????????????? and here i was thinking you were waiting for ME to cut N's hair!!!! traitor!
ok i better find somewhere that can do it...
Hair schmair. You either got it or you don't! Though I must admit I'm rather fond of E's pears baby curls! LOL
Rainy, ok re texting, but you gotta text ME first LOL. Only joking.
Oh fun. Miss E's just learnt to sneak in behind all the big furniture. She lurks there silently (can't even hear the breathing) and the only way I can work out where she is, is to say "Boo!" to which she replies!
MD does she giggle when you say boo? LOL I am just picturing a little giggle form between the couches while you frantically look for her
how adorable MD!
pap- i was waiting for you....but then one day i just totally cracked it with his mullet. i couldn't handle it anymore! i was doing the supermarket and there was one of those dodgy little 'walk in' salons so i took him in and some teenager did it for $7. looks great too, no regrets
katie- mmm, i don't think bil would really enjoy that experience LOL
are you still studying to be a doula?
no names yet,.,.,
md- mmmm you might need to change your name to something starting with A to get the first text..LOL
Leanne, welcome back, glad you had a good holiday. Sounds like you got a decent amount of shopping in! Hope there is no scar from the stitches.
JG, good to see you back, hope the house move went well. Am I making things up or did you have a wedding coming up soon?
Noni, one of DHs cousins is getting married on Friday the 13th. Glad that Asha is going so well at cc
PAP, it is a girl for you. Although I am 100% wrong about these things lol. I think mine is a girl too because this pregnancy it so different. I am half thinking I will get to the 12 week scan and find nothing in there. No haircuts here, I think we will be safe to wait until W is 3 (or 13 at this rate lol)
MD, so cute! I can't get over how fun this age is! Not quite in our slice of (fixer-upper) paradise yet, moving this weekend. Not long now until the op. Is it a full slice and dice or is it a keyhole thing?
Sherie, that is cool to get a look at your insides! My DH would pass out if a Dr tried to show him anything like that lol
I probably won't be around until next Tuesday, moving to the new house and have to wait for the internet to get reconnected.
Rainy and Ange - Don't have any babies until I am back!!! I don't want to miss the announcements!!
Did everyone get more KRudd money??? Man, I should have stayed in Aus.
Clare - Wow congrats on becoming a platinum member, your av looks v. nice.
Trillian - Glad that the outcome was good. Ohhh I smiled at the thought of A sitting in the dog bowl lol.
Leemar - Welcome back, sounds like you had a ball with the shopping. Sorry to heard about the accident & poor O's earache!
Noni - OH YAY we will be getting married within days of each other, how exciting!
Rainy - Your pregnancy has just flown by, I am getting so excited for you.
Arte - Yep I think we will be getting some money from the govt, but thats if it still all goes ahead.
PAP - I'm sure all is well, I didnt feel anything with M until about 18/19 weeks, so maybe within the next few weeks you will start to feel a lot more movement.
My sisters are currently trying to plan me a hens night...what a mission! Does anyone have any simple theme ideas for a hens night? We were thinking moulin rogue but some of the girls may feel a bit uncomfortable....what did you all do?
hi girls just a quick one from me as i am on day three of another bout of tonsilitis...will it EVER end?!
Rainy: congrats on reaching the full term! has the nesting started yet? i just saw on the news that we are going into the mid 40s on saturday...maybe a good day to take yourself to a day spa LOL!
PP: did you find somewhere to take N for his haircut? Leila also has long locks atm but we are making do with clips and hair-ties...but the inevitable is looming! :)
MM: my hens night was quite the un-event. leila was getting sick, it was the night before the wedding and she was with a hotel babysitter and she was only 6 months old so i was totally freaked out the whole night. went to a lovely restaurant though. other ones i have been to included dinner and then bars, and one was a high tea at the hyatt which was alot of fun.
Arte: good luck with the move. it sounds like you guys are pretty well on it tho'. not sure if we still get the cash...i heard today that the opposition are going to block the stimulus package (who needs infrastructure and job boosts anyway ppffft??!! LOL!).
AFM: well i am enjoying the new av! can't believe they found a tram! LOL! that is so awesome!
have been totally bed bound though with the tonsilitis. here i was thinking i had gotten off fairly easily with just a simple cold, but no, tonsils are all over it now. very hard to look after miss L when you have a raging temp, are running to the loo every 5 minutes and are about to vomit at any smell. oh joy. i wish they'd just rip the awful traitorous things out (do i sound bitter?! LOL!). so off to the dr tomorrow to start more useless pen injections. hopefully i wont be hospitalised like last time.
on the other hand, Leila is just gorgeous ATM. she too is getting frustrated when we dont get exactly what she is trying to say. but her comprehension of what we say is scary! :D we can now ask her to get her bib for dinner, or her socks and shoes and she manages to come out with the matching pair (the child's obsessed). also i am totally stoked as we have a rather wealthy family up the road and her 3 year old just had a b'day so we have inherited all the toys that she has grown out of. some of it is a bit OTT, but being the little miss, Leila LOVES the vanity set (with mirror!). i found her hugging and kissing her own reflection and saying 'bella bella' today LOL! i am in soo much trouble when this child hits the teens it's not funny!
Oh clare- you poor thing. Do you qualify to have the nasty little offenders taken out? How many times in 12 months do you have to have it?
Arte- OK- no babies till after Tuesday. ;) GL with the move
MD- My name starts with A........ :p
MM- i saw some pics of a friends of a friends hens day. All the hens wore black and the hen wore a red dress, looked cool in the pics. Simple and easy too.
Got feet up watching TV, not alot to report. Had OB appointment yesterday, BP slightly up, nothing too concerning. Probably due to the fact i had to jump start the freaking car in the morning yesterday!
L is talking alot more in the last week, she was quite a few words now and lots of animal sounds. I love hearing her talk i could spend all day making her snort like a pig. It is hilarious.
Although i vowed not to be one of those mothers that makes their child perform for other people, so i only do it at home.
Clare - Sounds horrible & painful, hope the antibiotics kick in fast you poor thing. As for L saying bella bella, how cute is that!
Falguni - Lol I know what you mean about 'those mothers'. Wow thats a nice idea for a hens theme.
Arte good luck with the move. How far pg are you now?
Clare you poor thing, I hope you get better soon. LMAO at little miss loving her reflection that is so adorable.
MM we didnt have a theme for my hens night. We had an adult toy party and just a few girly drinks at home.
Ange its a fantastic age isn't it, they are all just so cute and super clever.
Rainy study is on hold, dont really have anyone who could look after L if I was working. One day when the kids are older I guess, or when I can convince mum to retire and move up here lol.
Oz - I am the same with studies being on hold. Its hard when you dont have parents/in laws close by. What are your in laws like, are they near you? My parents just got back from a 6 month holiday, I missed having my mum around big time, & now they have just decided to move an hour and a half away, so devo!!! As for the hens night, they have decided to get everyone over to my joint (the weekend before the wedding...!) & everyone get on a party bus at 9.30pm to go clubbing. No theme its too hard.
Does anyone know how I become like a BB member & get an av etc?
MM both our families are in Sydney (where we grew up), we actually like being up here on our own but sometimes I get lonely and miss my family. My inlaws are ok, we lost MIL a few years ago to cancer and FIL is fine in small doses. I have pm'd you about upgrading your membership.
Off for a walk today and then I need to tackle the bathroom, the job I hate most in the entire world. I also have to set up the studio as I have a job this weekend, woo hoo some money.
PP, no giggling, she just says "Boo!" in her cutsie little voice! LOL
Rainy, just sign me up as Aardvark LOL! I've got DH listed as an Aardvark in my phone LOL.
Leanne, so good to have you back hun. Well done getting away with only one accident LOL - sounds like you think our Aus medical system is way better???
Arte, so have your fixed your fixer-upper or will it be a month of weekends (like ours! LOL). Yay how exciting (and tedious at the same time) to be moving in! Hopefully keyhole, tho they have warned me you can wake up with the slice and dice if your anatomy's tricky . BTW I think NZ mild summer VS KRudd Money, kiwi wins hands down every time!
Clare, hugs hun on the tonsies. I was a chronic tonsie-sufferer in my childhood, sooooo know how awful it is. Tip to the wise: cry at the doctors, it might accelerate your ENT surgeon referral. PMSL laughing at your Bella prima donna there! SCORE on the handmedowns! I'd be putting the word out that you take clothing handmedowns as well - L could be set for childhood LOL!
Ange, where's the fun in not having L snort for the public? LOL E does this Incredible Hulk thing where she balls her fists so hard that she trembles all over, OMG it's hilarious. It's her regular party trick these days.
MM - go high tea at the Hyatt. You could always kick on at a bar later if you wanted to!! Oh just saw you're getting the parTAY bus! Oo that could get messy LOL. BTW - you can subscribe as a platinum member (paid subscription) - gives you an avvie.
Oh and I forgot the most exciting thing of all, I'm a GREAT-auntie! :o! My nephew's GF gave birth to a little girl (awwww!) late last night. All well. My stepmum was falling about laughing the other day because apparently everyone's too vain to be called Nanna or Grandma anymore, and my sis has opted to be a "Saffi" instead. LOL
Hey yummy mumma's ~
I hope someone remembers me, lol..
I'm so happy to see some of your are still here!
Your tots are just gorgeous, Scarlet is a total BRAT, well lately anyway *sigh*
I'm going to have a squizz at some posts & see if i can catch up on how you're all doing.
OMG LP you came back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where did you disappear to? I was worried about you, you were here one day and then never again... it is great to see you back!
Lots of us are still here!!
xxx
Welcome back LP!! How have you been?! We wondered where you had got to. Yep I hear you, I just think its the age that they are at.
Oz - Thanks for the PM.
MD - Congratulations!!
LP!!!!!!!!!!! You're back. :cheer: We were all so worried about you babe! What you been up to?
ETA - forgot to say, we're heading out shortly for Miss E's first day at Kindergym! *claps hands* Oh i'm so excited I can't wait! I know she'll absolutely love it!!
OMG LP yay your back, we were all so worried about you. How are you? How is miss S????
BBL
LP- where have you beeeeenn???? we were so worried!!!! tell us everything!!
md- lol at the aardvark, what a crack up!
what did they call the baby?
arte- best of luck with the move. i'll try not to have the baby this weekend, seeing as both you and my dh are busy ;)
it looks like we might be getting $1900 k-rudd
katie- what are you photographing this wknd?
i haven't cleaned the bathroom in months. my shower is supposed to have see-through glass but you can't see through it atm
clare- sorry about your PITA tonsills
not much going on around here today, went to playgroup this morning, i was so tired i was nearly falling asleep just sitting there. came home, had a brief nap and now i'm sitting here boiling hot again. we desperately need to get a full-on super strength air-con installed.
YaY! you do remember me!
I'm sorry for dropping off the face of the planet.
I came home one afternoon to a completely empty house, Shannon recieved some very bad news which caused him to have an awful nervous breakdown all of a sudden & went a bit off the rails, he ended up spending 3 months in hospital & we've had a very rough time, sold the house & now we're living in a teensy little 2 bedroom unit for a little while but we are all doing well now & life is better than ever.
I did drop in & read a few posts a while ago but things were still a bit messy.
MASSIVE congratz to all who are preggers again!!! You are brave, brave women! LOL
Scarlet is very happy & learning new things every day.
We have a pool here so i've been taking her swimming 2 or 3 times every day & she's getting so good at it!
We've had alot of medical problems with her since about 14mths, horrible unexplained rashes, vomiting, difficulty breathing... she just suddenly turned into a nightmare behaviour wise too & I FINALLY found out yesterday (after months of tests) that she has a severe dairy allergy so i have to cut out dairy completely for the next 4 weeks & then introduce some slowly to see if she can tolerate any at all. You would not believe how many products have dairy in the ingredient list!
It's amazing how much her behaviour has changed just from having no dairy products yesterday or today, so i'm very optimistic about it.
I have thrown myself right back into my artwork now, Scarlet has been going to daycare twice a week so i have time to paint, She adores going there & has heaps of little friends. It's so cute.
MD congrats on the new bub in the family.
Rainy I have a 7 week old little girl coming for photos this weekend. My shower sounds like yours. I still havent done it lol.
It is hot here today and all I wanna do is sit on the couch and watch TV but I have so much to do. I think one of you should give me an excuse not to do anything.
LP wow you really have been through a lot honey - what a tough time you have had. I am glad that SHannon is doing better and it sounds like you are all back on track. A friend of mine recently dealt with a similar thing, and i know how difficult that can be. do you still have your nieces (??) living with you? It must be good to know what's up with S, and it is great she is already doing better!
Katie - hmm what excuses cani think of for you. i usually cook when i am looking for an 'excuse' - still a chore but a more fun one...
wow LP you've been through a lot. great to have you back now, hopefully you can stick around.
katie- it's too hot to do anything.
this heat is killing me
Oh wow Lp you really have been through a lot, no wonder you havent been around. Its good to hear that things are getting better though.
PAP I am in a bit of a cooking mood and might make something sweet for DH. He doesnt want me cleaning the shower so I will make him do it later.
It's really hot here too, We will definately be swimming again this afternoon.
PAP ~ Although they stay here often, the girls are with my brother again now, He had an extension put on thier house so they have more room & they are much better behaved since they have been living with us so he can handle them well now.
Katie, I didn't know you were a photographer.. You must have some great photos! Lucky girl, DF would fall over laughing if i asked him to clean the shower
LP its great that the girls are with your brother, sounds like you did a really good job helping put them on the right track.
I think I might fill up L's little pool and have a paddle.
wow LP it sounds like you have obviously done a great job with your nieces and it is good they are back with their dad.
well girls i am off to melb this weekend for a week of work meetings - and night functions.. wish meluck as i dont know how i will have ther energy for it all. dh and N are coming from Sun-wed (just going on sun) which is great. it is all a bit stressful too as my gfather has had to move to a high care home today so poor mum has been dealing w that and will need lots of emotional propping up also (but i am not staying w her i am staying where all the meetings are)
Good to see you back LP! Hope things are on an upward swing for you now and that dairy free pays off for you all.
Oz, why doesn't he like you cleaning the shower? You said you tested last monday but you didn't tell me the result - did I miss something? I am 9.5 weeks now.
MD, my mum tried to drop the Nana from Nana Sue, so I jumped in first started calling her just Nana. She should have kept a good thing - now W calls her Nana Woof lol (she has a lot of dogs). Our fixer-upper will be an ongoing project, there are a lot of little things that need to be tidied up.
PAP, hope your grandfather is comfortable  That must be hard. I am really close to my granddad, I hate the thought of him getting old.
Ange, how is your garden going? You win the corn-off - we didn't water ours over christmas when we went away and it is still only a foot high lol. We did get some potatoes and peas though. W and I go out to the garden and pick peas and eat them from the pod, yummy.
Better go, see you next week
LP - Sounds like you've had a tough few months, so glad to hear things are getting back on track. Its great that S is so into her swimming.
Hi Girls,
Welcome Back LP and sending you heaps of hugs.
Well I am sick with the flu. Started back at work yesterday and gee I have 3 weeks
worth of work to catch up on. The kids are getting better and Livi is finally sleeping though again after about a week of waking up crying. They all started back at school
again yesterday and had a great time.
Rainy- Congrats on making full term and looking forward to your babys arrival.
Pap- Sorry to hear about your grandfather. Hope all goes well in melb.
Sorry but I have to go X just woke up and is calling for me.
Hello to everyone and BBL
LP - far out, so pleased to hear you guys made it through intact. Hoping Shannon just gets better and better from here - mental health is hard work! Glad you've gotten the dairy thing diagnosed, let us know how S gets on. Have a read of Sue Dengate's website if you haven't already. xxx
Arte - LOL at Nana Woof. DD1 took to calling one Knitting Nanna and the other Nanna-with-the-black-dog. I'm hoping I've got a coupla decades yet to decide what sort of NannaName I'm gonna have.
PP - take care, sweet, you sound like you're burning the candle at both ends (again!). x
Rainy, I was thinking this morning about you being ready to pop (so to speak). Does this PG seem to you like it's gone a lot quicker than the first? I think about what ladies of leisure we all were back then, never again once you've had your first kiddlywink! LOL No babies this weekend, ok? My great-niece is called Lillith. Strong name!!!
Bleh, can't concentrate today. Got my cranky pants on with DH.
Hi girls!
LP: hi and welcome back! i'm sorry that you guys have had such a hard 2008. like MD said, mental illness can really take it out of ya. i'm glad that things seem to be getting back on track.
how awesome that you guys get to go swimming so often! i am so jealous! although the baths here are only a short walk, in this current heat, it's too hard and bothersome. hence i have had to buy a shell pool. it works nicely though as Leila gets one side and the dawg gets the other...not great for learning how to paddle though LOL!
Rainy: relish that tiredness! It's a great sign that your body is asking you to slow down. i know, easy for me to say as i am bouncing off the walls being so excited for you... :)
Leanne: ooh no! post travel colds are the pits! and so inevitable...hope that it goes soon...have you any pics of the trip??!!
MD: ohhh so THAT's where my cranky pants went LOL!
love the name lillith btw. and you're right, it does sound strong.
PP: if you need a time out zone this coming week, i am always up for skipping school and having a coffee!! LOL!
MM: oohh that hens night sounds like it's gunna get messeeeee!! lol! it should be heaps of fun!
AFM: well have gone into work today. feel really dizzy and unwell, but as i am not contagious the guilt factor got to me and so i headed in. that said, i have sat on BB the whole time LOL!
hello girls, still here, still pg :)
feeling lots and lots of pressure down below though, sorry! is it freaking you all out with all my pg talk??
katie- we're actually considering getting a cleaner just to do a couple of sessions at our house over the next couple of weeks- mainly to do the 2 bathrooms. they're just so disgusting and i really can't deal with it any longer. i've never had a cleaner before, so it feels kinda weird, but dad has offered to pay for it. i think he feels kinda bad that we don't have a lot of support. i didn't realise you were away from your family. are you originally from sydney?
pap- good luck with your super-busy weekend in melb. it's going to be 43 here on saturday so please take it easy. my friends from the cfa have been ringing me telling me not to stay on the mountain on saturday as they are predicting it's going to be ash wednesday again. great, that's all we need!
leanne- how horrible that you have come back sick, you poor thing and you sound so busy
md-this has been the quickest pg of all time, i can't actually believe it. last time i used to count down the days in my diary and it felt like i was pg for over a year. this one has felt like about 5 months all up. it was a lot easier ast time as i finished up work at 30 weeks and basically spent the last 12 weeks sleeping, eating, relaxing and thinking about the baby. i spent so much time obsessing over whether he was a boy or a girl (we didn't find out last time) that i reckon the anticipation dragged it out even more. i actually can't believe i could go any minute and we're still not 100% on a name- even though we know the sex this time!
last time i used to read up in a book every week what stage the baby was at- you know, like if it had eyelashes or fingernails or whatever. this time the only way i know what week it is, is by logging on to bb and checking my ticker.
clare- thanks for being excited for me! i am excited too, the tiredness has definitely increased, and you're right, i do need to slow down a bit. i was going to bid on ebay on a cubby/slide thing for lewis but it's about 40km away so dh has banned me as he doesn't want me driving anymore except for short distances. how's your tonsils? i can't believe you're working when you're so sick.
well i've got mothers group this arvo- was trying to drag l's morning sleep out till 11am so that he would only have one long sleep today, but the little brat crawled up onto his armchair in front of the tv at 10.30am and fell asleep! grrrr, he's still asleep now so hopefully he stays asleep for a couple of hours
