JG - Not long to go for you either, must be getting excited now?
Oz - I have a cranky toddler too, attempted to go to the shops today with her what a mission! Lol chocolate bum cream? I am eating rainbow bum cream atm PMSL!
Clare - Wow that house sounds promising, I hope you can convince your DH. Lol @ poshville! Houses are so darn expensive arent they. How close is the area to the city etc? I dont know much about Melbourne, except I know where like Prahan (however the hell you spell it) is & umm Malvern as well....Oh & I know how to catch the train to the city from that P place lol. Would love to go back & spend some more time & explore it without the stress of the inlaws & crazy mother SIL.
MD - GOOD LUCK with moving forward! Do you think the FDC lady will be able to work something out for your girls?
Kate - Thanks for that tip, I asked DP if he had spoken to paypal yesterday & he hadnt. He is too soft with them, so when he gets home from work today I'll get him to call & authorise them to speak to me because I will put a rocket up their bum lol!
-
Girls I just noticed that I have gone over 1000 posts. Wooo hoooo.
MM now I want rainbow bum cream. I didnt buy any at shopping, I wonder if an icy pole would satisfy me????
JG I am super excited now and cant wait for the sms.

hi girls
not much to report here....went for acupuncture again this morning, but didn't seem to make the baby quite as crazy today. was v relaxing for me though.
dh is at work, i'm sooo bored. lewis is sweeping the deck with his new broom, this kid loves cleaning, weird seeing as both his parents hate it...
aaaggg i'm so sick of being stuck in this house and not being able to do anything.
-
hi everyone
YAY Rainy it all sounds v promising with the acupuncture - it was amazing for me last time... and i have a feeling it will be for you as well. even if ti doesnt bring on labour it will def help i am sure. dont feel bad about the tv watching woman - you are about to pop a baby out!!! so cute L loves the cleaning, maybe if you both hate it he has it worked out that'll be his job??
PMSL at the bum cream - that is hilarious!
JG yay not long foryou too - how are you feeling? any more bed rest incidents (i hope not)?
MD - love the av that is so hot!!! i cant believe you havent done the haighs!! havwe you asked them about a job transfer - you never know!!
Well dh is off tomorrow for a week :-( so expect some whinging from me.
better go, will be back tomorrow. xxx
-
hi girls!
JG: oh wow! you are getting close too!
Rainy: yep, definately in the last days of pg! ahhh, that frustration i still remember clearly...can't do anything and yet can't do enough.
oops, miss l just woke back up...has an AWFUL headcold ATM, plus the dog is really really sick...$300 vet bill so far...so we have had quite the day!

Just a quickie from me cause I've been flat out like a lizard drinkin' ROFL. Lindsay's birthday on Friday (8 years old already!!), his party yesterday (OMG - watching 6 boisterous boys in a 12foot pool thinking they are wrestlers and bouncing off the sides of a self-supporting pool is very stressful I can tell you - and I say only 6 cause Lindsay bailed out ROFL - he's not into that sort of thing) but it was great.
I wont be online much till tomorrow night - as just too busy. Off to wagga tomorrow for a dermatologist appt.
Cindy, I'm not liking the mirena at all and I'm having it out - I feel totally out of control of my body and I'm sick of the constant spotting/bleeding that I've had lately. On the flip side though, the medication I take for psoriasis is actually benefitting the endo too cause it inhibits cell growth, so it's stopping the endo from growing too.
G, fingers crossed that he is out by the end of the week!
-
MM, the whole paypal thing is terrible! Did you get T to make you an authority? Hope you tore them all a new one! If you are having no luck, my suggestion would be to tell the supervisor that your next call is to A Current Affair - and do it! You are ACA candy, a young couple with a mortgage and baby being ripped off two weeks before your wedding. Maybe the threat of nationwide bad publicity would make them decide the purchases were indeed fraudulent. Dance classes sound like the perfect idea for Maddie!
Clare, hope your dog is alright, what is wrong with her? Poor L getting everything at once. Are you going to put in an offer on the house? Sounds great.
PP, feel free to whinge away, DH was gone for three days last week and it felt like forever!
MD, love the avatar! Sorry things aren't going well on the job front, but I am sure that while you are busy looking in one direction something else will sneak up behind you.
Rainy, good luck at the Ob tomorrow, hope there is some noticeable change. I really credit the accupunture I had for getting my body ready for my induction.
Cally, don't count on less tanties when K is speaking more - W has heaps of words and still lets rip if he doesn't get what he wants (exactly how he wants it).
LMAO about the bum cream! After all the effort picking one the other night, I couldn't stomach it so DH ate it!
-
here i am again.... the abandoned mother!!
had the WORST night with N last night - he is going through massive developmental leaps at the moment - singing whole songs (twinkle twinkle - not all the words but phraseology and signs - adorable), suddenly into all things w wheels, obsessed with drawing, 2 word sentences regularly and seriously about to walk... so he woke at 11 and stayed up til 2 trying out most of these things.... wouldnt settle for DH (as per what iw as saying earlier inthe week) and so it was nightmareish.... he also seems to be getting his canine teeth (is that what they are called) so i am in for a ripper of a week! he totally lost it when we dropped dh at airport (i thought he was going to do one of his blue attacks but thankfully he didnt) so he is def aware of all that and i am sure he will be syuper clingy. i sense a co sleeping week ahead of me! i am getting bigger and i dont have the energy to rock for 3 hrs anymore! (oh help me with the baby arrives!!). anyway i am onto the teetikng with my wonderful friend brauers and he is sleeping now so i have some soup bubbling away and a pasta bake in the oven so at least we wont starve!!! dh also went and bought me hot cross buns this morning so i am making my way through them - yummo! anyway... enough about me me me!
Rainy - hmm not there today??? i am trying not to keep wondering where you are but it is killing me... phone next to me waiting for that text though i suspect AAAJOdie will get the 1st one LOL!
Arte - i agree the tantys dont stop with words.. i think they aid in the general moddiness factor - ie do you want some fruit 'NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!' oh i get it you dont want any LOL!!!
Clare - whats up with bella (is that the dog name, for some reason i think so - gosh i hope it isnt your MIL or something LOL!!).
i had a shopping spreee (all for n and little one) yest at country road - OMG they have some gorgeous stuff in for winter - boys and girls this time (usually ia m just jealous of how much girls stuff but this time there was a good mixture)...
MM how is the paypal thinsg turning out? been thinking about you honey. i was telling dh eh is outraged... i dont think we will be using ours again..
Sherie - the party sounds scary... adn lots of fun! LOL at Lindsay bailing, he sounds like such a gentle and lovely boy.
ETA the pasta bake was so quick and such a hit with Master N that I thought i would share with you all.
it is so easy and pretty yummy too. basically boil the pasta (i used elbows) make a cheese sauce - i used 2 cups milk, 50g butter and a couple of tablespoons flour. add heaps of grated cheese and then stir through some passata to make it pink and tomatoey tasting (about 400ml maybe). then grate in heaps of vegies - i used courgette, carrot, onion this time. mix through pasta and put into a baking tray lined with gladbake. sprinkle more cheese on top and bake 180deg for about 20 mins til golden and bubbling. he LOVED it, i had to ration it!!! this made heaps - i will have for dinner too and it will prob do at least another adults dinner and a couple more meals for him (or another adulst meal prob). yummo. wiuld also be good with canned salmon or tuna but i didnt have any to hand. all up took about 40 mins go to whoah.
Also meant to say Clare thanks for the wonderful containers of water w food colourimg tip. N LOVES it... that and a pot of dirt in our ackyard have been keeping him entertained in that horrid after dinner before bath pergatory the last few days.... it is a huge hit here!!
-
i am the only one here!! Rainy just wanted to ask did you buy a carrycot for the MB?
-
PP it sounds like we are going through something similar with our boys and I am so glad I am not alone. I hope things change for both of us really soon.
Ooohhh no Rainy today????
Trillian its good that your meds are working and that your getting the bonus effect with the endo. Bummer about the mirena though.
Clare how is little miss L feeling today?? I hope she feels better.
I had more spotting today, already had a Dr appt and he wasn't to worried. Gave DH a stern talking to about not stressing me out and helping out lol. DH has been fantastic actually and has been doing so much when I just cant. I have told my sisters the news too and they are both really happy. My sis who is due in a week thinks I am nuts for having another, she had really bad MS and swears she wont have anymore lol. We put a spare mattress on the floor in what will be L's room and he loves it, he hasnt slept on it but likes ot lay in there and have his bottle and just chill out in there with his doona.Better head to bed fingers crossed L stays asleep.
-
Oh my goodness where is Rainy!? OOOOH!! ???? Maybe the acupuncture really did the trick this time.....!?
Oz - Thats good that the doc isnt worried. I had spotting too with M. Good luck!
PAP - Oh how yum that pasta bake sounds delish, I am so making it this Wednesday when I am not working. I'll let you know how it turns out. You poor thing I hope this week isnt as bad for you as you have predicted.
Arte - Haha good idea. No he hasnt authorised paypal yet, they arent open today so couldnt talk to them. To top it off DP is leaving for Sydney tomorrow, then on to Melb & then Adelaide so he has a very busy couple of days ahead of him I dont know if he will even get a spare min to call the idiots. However 7 of our 11 'purchases' have been refunded so they are getting there, still waiting on about $3,500 to come back. I swear they just take their time as our money is sitting in their bank making them interest while we lose it. Dont worry I will try get onto it as much as I can tomorrow. We are still all having a giggle at W's bum cream, DP thought it was funny as well. The things kids say!
Clare - $300 vet bill that sucks! They are so expensive.
Trill - Sounds like the kids party was a hit!
Girls just had the MIL here, she went around putting fertiliser into the pot plants & I didnt know. M has a bad habit of eating the dirt out of the pots, yes yuck I know. Anyway caught her eating it & DP & I freaked out as she had a mouth full of fricking fertiliser! So have been dosing her up on water & keeping an eye on her. MIL says dont worry its just like she's having an extra dose of veges, ummmmm ok!? Sorry but I dont fertilise my DD!? So have called the after hrs health line & they said just to keep an eye on her, because I dont think she got too much in or if she even swallowed it as we fished alot out.
-
Hi everyone. Gee I always forget about these threads lol.
Rainforest, DD is the same way too, it's because they're virgos! She's forever running into the bathroom and pulling out the mop and mopping the house hehe. She wipes down the table if she sees a cloth there too!
Madsmum, that's just ridiculous! I can't believe she didn't even tell you :o I'd be furious if I were you
So I got DD of the dummy today with no complaints, hopfully it'll stay that way! Mind you she only went to bed an hour ago so perhaps she was so tired she just passed out lol! Cheeky thing kept perking up as soon as I tried to put her to sleep!
-
OMG Neenee that is too weird. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about your name (??) and then I get up and here you are in our thread (*blink blink*). Welcome to our little thread family, apologies in advance because we all talk a lot!!
Well done getting your DD off the dummy - not game to try here just yet. DD1 was very attached to her Noonny, I think it will be easier for DD2 to give hers away.
-
still here girls
going off to ob now...i think i have bl00dy thrush. can you believe it? i feel like crying.
pap- no didn't bother with carrycot. i think it's a waste of money, just wrap them up nice and cosy- if you get the elite, the seat cover is very nice and cosy anyway.
btw, i got mine on special at baby bunting- i think i ended up paying $1060 for the elite.
-
bummer to see you here Rainy!!! LOL! i hope you dont have thrush... yuk and the last thing you want to deal with atm. thanks for the tip re the cot thing, will reconsider - i do have one on the bugaboo which i loved with N.
well we had another shocker here last night, nearly 3 hrs again - not easy on my own!!! i tried every trick, rocking, singing, bottle, brauers for teething - in the end i was sure it was his teeth as he was trying to sleep but couldnt so i gave him some panadol. he eventually went back to sleep... woke up again at 6.30 (late for himbut still....) and then at 8 i put him back down, so now he is asleep and i am meant to have dropped hm to care an hour ago... oh well i am powering through some work while i wait for himt ow ait and i have to take him to a back up carer today so i prefer he has a good sleep here this morning... i hope tonight is a bit better. katie how was L last night? do you have the mattress out bc you will move him toa bed soon?
-
Hi ladies, you guys really rocks, chatty as ever! I havent been here for ages and then I received a lovely birthday email from Belly2 and just cant stop thinking of you guys :)
Thought I drop by and say hello ?
How are all the babies (or toddlers I may say)? They grow so fast, dont they ...
I think this is the fun age. William talks and runs a lot. He also loves dancing and drawing (my poor fridge and table are full with crayon scribbles). He understands a lot too, sometimes that scares me :p we need to be careful with our words now :p
We went to jakarta and bali during xmas to see our parents. We havent been back for several years so really had a fabulous time. And though I love the fact that W was spoilt by the grandparents when we're there, I think he might grow to be a little brat if the grandparents are here all the time :p
Just realised that some of the ladies here are expecting no 2, I have no idea who's first on the list but just want to wish you all the best. Is it Rainforest ??? Good luck with the labour. And pregagainpan, I soon noticed that from the name :)
Have a nice week everyone! Will try to come back again
-
Agnes good to see you. It really is a great age isn't it.
PP L actually slept through and a whole 12 hours rather then 10-11, lets hope we have turned a corner and that N isnt far behind. L's eye tooth is right at the top this morning and should break through anyday. Yep we are going to move L into a big bed.
Rainy bummer about the thrush, I hope it clears up quickly.
Neenee well done on getting rid of the dummy, we are about to do the same.
MM I cant believe your MIL, how thoughtless is she? I hate people doing things around my house without asking, but something like that which could harm your child???? I would be livid. What did you DF say to her?
Just had a playdate here, was lots of fun but I am glad they are gone and I can put my PJ pants back on and bum around lol.
-
hiya girls!
just quickie from me as my mummy instincts tell my little treasure is about to wake from her slumber...
Rainy: ooh i hope it's not thrush! a tad uncomfy...
PP: ooh me too! i did like the bassinette on the bug. kinda old school funk! lol!
that does sound slightly sus about his night waking. i too woulda thought teeth. although ATM we have had very restless nights as leila has a sore throat. poor wee thing.
glad the water colour thingy was a hit! L just loves it soo much (pink of course!). ah yes, we have the budding 'gardner' here too. lots of soil moving from the pots to the sandpit or the concrete....
Alingra: welcome back! leila also gets spoiled from the grandparents o/s! i think i may need to pack a spare suitcase when we go over LOL!
Neenee: welcome into the fold!! LOL! like MD said we do chin-wag way too much! always love extra ppl!!!!!!
Sherie: ooh the pool party does sound dastardly! how many 'pro-wrestlers' needed first aid? LOL! ah boys. although the way miss l is lately i have a feeling i have my own 'pro-wrestler' on my hands!
Arte: i love the way you think sista! ACA is PERFECT for this kind of stuff! LOL!
AFM: well the dog (stella...you were close PP!!) is on the mend. it was scary touch and go there. my feeling is that big dogs fall hard and that is just what happened. think she dug up a bone and ate it with the soil all over it. we use our own compost and no doubt there was some lovely nasties on there ready to give her gastro. so she has been on zero food and just drinking electrolites....but now she can have this really bland and expensive  food from the vet for the next week.
miss L on the other hand has morphed her runny walrus into a cough. i think it may be a sore throat as she totally freaked out this morning around 4.30am. so she scored some extra cuddles and slept on my chest for the rest of the morning. and now she seems AOK. having a big snooze now, i guess to make up for lost time last night.
BBL i think i am missing dr phil LOL!!!!
