hi girls - thanks for the congrats!
leeanne - i get it esp with the vanilla ice reference - cute! they must look pretty cool!
hmm clare not sure re the night terrors - how old is the baby? who knows what all these stages are - i am still dealing with mr clingy at night and boy is it wearing! the muffins sound yum - sounds like you have yourself a lovely mums group.
Noni - hope the plans are going well. how exciting!
what is RAKING? man i am so outta touch!
clare what was the clothes range you told rainy about - i feel like doing some online shopping!!
-
Ohhh Clare you sweetheart thanks for nominating me, you are so nice! I must admit I did have a feeling it was you lol. Thanks so much!!! Well September will come around quickly, cant believe we are not too far off March already, the year is flying.
Girls I went makeup shopping today and I bought a mac foundation for the wedding, along with bronzer, blusher, eyeshadows, eye liners, mascara etc etc the whole works. My sisters came along. Anyway gonna play around myself tonight with it all as the mac girl did lay it all on a bit too thick for me. I am a less is more person when it comes to makeup!

MD - S normally goes down between 7 and 7.30pm then up at 5.30 most mornings so she gets 10 hours straight. So thankful for that but would like longer in the mornings. We've given her a bottle in the mornings and left her in her cot and that seems to be helping ( she stays in until closer to 7am...fingers crossed that continues. Putting her down earlier or later doesn't seem to make much differnce.
PAP - S seems to be more attached to me then DH. but then again when he gets her out of the cot after a day sleep shes more likely to fall asleep for a bit longer on him than me. And :confetti: for the review. You deserve it darl.
Rainy - YES!! Sarah is doing the exact same thing, she only had 30 mins sleep in the end yesterday after fighting it for ages. Then again today. She falls asleep on me but then as soon as her head hits the cot shes screaming at me, once shes sitting up tho shes fine. I've left her in there and she played happily and quietly for about 30-40 mins. SO at least a bit of down time for me but still annoying when I know how bad she'll be later in the arvo.
Cally - How did your shopping and trip into Sydney go?
Arte- I'm sure I've said it once but I'll say it again. You have one very clever boy. SO awesome that he says his name. Next time you're bored on the net look up zits/pimples/cysts on youtube...very entertaining if you have a strong stomach
Katie - YEAH!! on your scan. Does that make you due middle to end of Sept?
Clare - Haha I tell S the same thing about early mornings being unacceptable (or unasseptbull according to SuperNanny lol). OMG on that Kmart organic shirt bargains! great for kindys and messy days.
MM - Gorgeous Av!!
Noni- Hope you guys are taking care of yourself as well as Asha
Sorry if I missed anyone...
-
I think they mean RANKING! Am I right?
-
PP Raking refers to the Random Act of kindness day that BB had on 17th. You could upgrade to platinum and choose another BB member to upgrade for free. Well done on the review too!!
Kate I am due Oct 6th, right between mine and mums birthdays although closer to mine.
Clare I thought you were the other one who upgraded H lol.
Rainy did you get L's haircut?
Oh gosh I cant remember anything else, I plead pg brain lol. My dad is up visiting for a few days so we told him the news when DH got home, he was stoked. I am off to make a cuppa.
-
Hi girls!
MM and Oz: ahhh see! You guys know me too well! LOL!
PP: the clothing is called eternal creations. sooo cute!
-
pap- if you're looking for girl's clothes, oobi do some cracker dresses ;)
-
Hi ladies, glad BB's up again, feeling a bit down about my unemployed status right now. Not too much happening in the world of libraries here I'm afraid. :(
Not to mention financial stresses as DH has been out spending $moo$lah$ on I don't even know what while I was laid up in hospy and I'll be damned if I'll let my ducted evaporative aircon be frittered away like that before next summer!!! Anyway I've got another vote on my side, neither DH or DD1 are bothered by the heat but Missy E gets her cranky pants on when it's over 37 degrees. Just like her mum LOL.
Katie how lovely you got to tell your dad while he's there! So glad everything was ok with your scan. xxx
Leanne I was cracking right up at your ice ice baby dancing! PMSL. They were on the telly the other morning, and it reminded me of DH's ex-flatmate who I was kinda-sorta-not-really dating when I met DH - this guy was a total Vanilla-Ice wannabe. Right down to the dance moves. LOL I'm overdue for a haircut, getting sick of my mop, maybe I should have some tracks put in?? PMSL
PP Congrats on your awesome review! Sounds like there was a backlog of good feedback that you hadn't been getting. You're a bit of an inspiration to all of us here, the way you manage to juggle everything with consummate ease AND still get those gourmet dinners on the table!
Kate, good you can give S a bottle and she lies in...do you put any toys or books in with her at that point? DD1 always used to be happy to play in her cot for a bit in the ams. Missy E always does a poo (first job of the day LOL) and wants to get up and get it seen to. LOL
Clare I was PMSL when I was reading about the girls playing (ie glaring and snatching) together! Hilarious. It even happens at our house, E has a banana if DD1 touches any of her toys in too meaningful a way LOL.
Oh we are having so much entertainment at home, finally got around to unpacking the big box of little people things that my sister gave us - there's a farm and a castle and a boat and a bus. It has been played with constantly since it came out, although E seems even more confused about her animal noises than she was before!
Arte - PMSL about the broken cracker! oh yes we are having a lot of petulant aware-of-one's-own-autonomy behaviour here too. A lot of food rejection. A lot of doing the exact opposite thing to what we've been asked to do.
Love to everyone I've missed in personals today, I'd best be off to contemplate my future a bit more...
-
Aaah MD dont get depressed about it. the right thing will come up at the right time... and fornow just recuperate and get some time for you. i know easier said than done.
thanks for saying such nice things... you have made me feel great! i must say there has been less of the gourmet stuff going on lately - mainly bc i cant fathom a real meal by the end of the day. DH ius way next week and i mustr say i am looking fwd to working through a box or 2 of weetbix!!
Clare - thanks i will lok at that site
Rainy -ha ha ha you are tricky. so are you guessing girl then??
btw ozsale has a sale on oobi and infancy today - i got some great stuff for N and baby!
-
ah yes, the petulant-i-shall-invest-heavily-in-defiance-of-mother moments has reached an all time new high here today as well...i chucked miss L into the 'my wee ride' this morning to get to uni and as i am peddling along she is yelling out 'no no no no no no....' (you get the idea) pretty much the whole way, until i decide to intervene and ask her if she wants to get off....5 seconds of thinking about it (here we are waiting on the side of the path ) she looks around and starts shaking her head and says no. so we continue and not another 'no' is uttered! LOL! obviously she was practising her vocab just in time for kindy LOL!
MD: i too found that when i go away DH goes crazy spending. the most ridiculous being a fake fire heater. i'll never get over that one.
-
hi girls
remember me?
i have shifted house, work 1 day a week, started tafe (again), battling the hot weather in an non-air cond house and trying to keep sane.
So i am baaaack! i have been loitering around the traps reading up on everyone on my blackberry, but somehow i was not able to log on using my phone. but i have just changed my pword so i should be able to now. i should be able to post msgs from the luxury of my own bed lol. DH loves me reading up in bed b4 we go to sleep everynight.
BRB for personals when i am not so busy......
-
[quote=Marydean;1666902] LOL I'm overdue for a haircut, getting sick of my mop, maybe I should have some tracks put in?? PMSL
i know a girlfriend who does a great job, if you want details, PM me. i was going to ask u if you live near me. i am trying to play secret squirrel by rounding up all the info you have been feeding me and put two and two together, but i am sick of playing games, and gonna ask u right out.
-
Thank you so much to whoever made me a RAK recipient, it is very much appreciated and really made my day
Rainy, your belly looks great!
SupaB, welcome back. How on earth did you manage summer without aircon??
Clare, isn't the defiance cute lol.
PP, glad you got such a good review, you deserve it. I can't even manage a baby and housework let alone working as well.
Kate, I seriously can't handle zits/cysts, I think I will stay well away from that one lol
DH is finally home, I was going mental not having any break. W and I had fish and chups tonight because I was too lazy to cook. I let him hold the parcel on the way home, so cute! In the shop I told him I was picking an ice-cream and he started yelling 'BUM CREAM, BUM CREAM'. People were laughing at us lol
Sorry for those I have missed in personals, W has made the computer writing tiny again and it is making my eyes wonky.
-
LAMO Bum cream!!!!!!!! How embarrassing Arte LOL! He is just obsessed with bum atm isnt he! hahahaha too funny
MD - Do you want to go back to work but there is no available positions, is that the problem? I'm sure one will pop up soon enough?
Clare - Awww that is so cute of L to be saying no, & then wont get off! Too cute.
-
Hi Girls,
SupaB- A big Welcome Back. Its great to hear from you.
MD- Yep I am too in need of a haircut and I have now booked in for next thursday night and am really excited. But no tracks for me.
Art- Bum Cream ....lol Glad your DH is home
Clare- LOL at L saying No
MD- I know what you mean about DH spending mine is the same. As soon as they see the money in the bank they just want to spend. I told him I am taking away his eft card and will just give him an allowance...lol. Re the AirCon OMG I could not live without it and must say its the best purchase we ever made. I have not turned it off since we came back. LOL I hope you cheer up. We love you.
Ok better go and do the dishes.
Sweet dreams to all
-
OMG now I feel like some BUM CREAM
MM- technically I'm still employed (on leave without pay) but in reality due to budget cut backs they would not approve a job transfer, I just have to find and compete (like usual) for a vacancy over here. They have not advertised any positions. Not sure about it anyway, still keen to find a library job since that is what my actual qualification is. I'm damn good at it too LOL.
SupaB - I have PM'ed you. I just hope you're not a crazy stalker LOL. I don't know how you get by without aircon. We've been running ours like crazy and I nearly fell off my perch when I saw the electricity bill yesterday. I suspect the initial reading was wrong but not much I can do about it now.
Clare, OMG how did L ever live down the fake fire heater? PMSL
PP I'm guessing girl too. xx
-
Hey MD - S has a pretty doona that hangs on the end of her cot, a practical blanket type thing, a muslin/cotton wrap, a snuggly fleecy thing with a head, a glow worm, a cushion, her pillow and a giant stuffed worm thing in her cot. Sounds squishy but not really. Oh and one of those soft activity things tied to the side. Shes addicted to tucking herself in and playing ghosts with her blankets. So you'll go in there and think shes asleep until you hear the chattering and giggling coming from underneath the blanket. lol
SupaBlondie - Welcome back...was wondering what you'd been up to.
I love BUM cream....dare I ask what flavour? hehe ;p
-
yes PAP, i'm guessing girl, for sure!
