Arte woo hoo look at you sexy lady. Happy Anniversary to you too. And an even bigger woo hooo on W sleeping through the night, thats so fantastic.
PP I jinxed myself. L was up for about an hour to an hour and a half last night. Thankfully after about half hour of cudddles he just chatted to himself in bed.
Oh man I feel left out - am i the only avless one???
HAPPPY EDD RAINY! you having maccas to celebrate??? LOL! come on baby it is time to meet your wonderful mummy!
Katie - bummer on the waking last night. we had a weird night here - he was wakeful int he early part of the night, tyellingout in his sleep - think it was his tummy perhaps as he was 'gassy'. he woke when i went to bed and i rocked him and then he woke again so he came into bed with me...slept there all night, was a bit wakeful but no long sesions. got up at 5am (!!!) so i did a boittle to try to get himback to sleep and he wouldnt in his room, so back to bed with me by about 6 and slept til.... 8.15. wtf???? anyway i love sleeping with him in bed with me (though id ont sleep so well) so all good. i hope tonight is better for L and also for N.
Arte - OMG I cant believe he slept through - well done you!!! YAY that must feel wonderful!
MM your MIL sounds a bit petty despite all i said when it comes down to it she needs to also get zen abotu it and aknowledge your wishes etc. maybe your DF (soon to be DH YAY!!) can have a word?
i am feeling a bit sad, my fdc carer is back from syd and she was up there as her 5 wk old grand-daughter is in hospital - she was airlifted to syd on fri and she has many many holes in her heart - they describe it 'like a sponge'. she is having more tests today... so heartbreaking. she wont be able to ever really be normal apparently - if anyone in the house is sick she will have to go to hospital, wont be able to run around etc and if she makes it to 3yo will need a heart transplant... and that is the good case... nothing was picked up til now... gosh we are lucky to all have healthy bubbas!
PP: oh gosh that does sound awful. and so young. that the little girl pulls through ok. my friend spent the day with her bestie at the childrens too, as one of her 3 month twins has kidney failure. it's so hard as you just dont know what to say and you really feel at a loss.
Arte: woot woo! nice sexy mumma av!! and wow, big news on the sleeping through front! do you feel like a new woman?! how was W when he woke up?? did he notice his big achievement??
rainy: happy EDD day! hope you are holding up ok and not too stressed. if it means anything to you, i felt cheated that i didnt make it Leila's EDD...she came outta the blue and i didnt yet get to 'enjoy' the harassing phonecalls from the rellos lol!
On the bottle question: i can barely get leila to have any milk ATM. she used to have a morning and night. then dropped the morning and has now dropped the night. she is getting loads of dairy through other means, but i was wondering if i should keep offering her the bottles at night????
Just a quick one from me tonight. I am having a massive brain fry as I missed my nanna nap today lol.
Arte I bought DH some chocolate and then spent 3 hours at the hairdresser getting my hair done. We dont really ever buy each other presents. Well done on the marriage saver lmao.
Besides being tired and I am feeling very spesh after having my hair cut and coloured and my head massaged. I bought sea bands today and they are awesome, I sat at the hairdresser for 3 hours at what is usually my sickly time and felt fine. I will try and catch up tomorrow.
Oh Pregpan, that is sooo sad. I hold my little Miss E close every day and thank the good fortune that brought her to me healthy!
Happy EDD Rainy. (*shouts, encouragingly*) IT IS TIME TO COME OUT NOW LIL BUBBA, YOUR MUMMA IS READY AND THE WORLD IS WAITING!! Hehe I have a feeling that's going to work !
Arte - WootWoo! Sexy NZ Mumma - your avvie looks just like you! YAY W for the big sleep !
*sigh* Well I went to visit the other FDC lady this morning - she has a son at DD1's school (and so could have her too on those afternoons) BUT she has a swimming pool. I just can't go there after my colleagues lil girl drowned at FDC all those years ago. Back to the drawing board.
But...on the good side, there's a job coming for me, I can feel it (INCOMING!). LOL
Ok, Clare, I think I'm going to have to get a cheap Melb ticket and fly over and get your tonsies out myself. I reckon I could do it with my long stitch-unpicker, a pair of fine-tipped pliers, a piece of string and a bottle of vodka. How about it hun? Seriously - are you getting thyself to a naturopath/TCM practitioner?
Woah Ange you are one hot babe! (*sizzle*) LOL Glad you've got your home gals coming up to help. Please let us know if there's anything at all you need, I would *love* to pop a parcel in the mail for you. xxx
BTW - re the crazy midnight carrying on - we've had a couple of midnight "sessions" with Missy E. I actually think it's something developmental. They are learning how to want particular ppl during the daytime (ie I got rejected in favor of Daddy yesterday ) so it kind of makes sense that they might wake up and not want to be alone to go to sleep, kwim? Plus I think about how busy their little brains are, they must have HUMUNGO dreams.
ETA - if she's getting her serves of dairy, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Miss E has a half-full sippy cup once or twice a day and eats plenty of dairy so I think that's fine. Otherwise if you're still really keen, maybe offer it at a different time of day, ie morning tea or before or after her daytime sleep??
oh md that FDC drowning story is terrible. i dont even want to think about that. i am so upset since talking to sue this moring - she just called and said the new specialist has found somemore abnormalities. she will tell me more later. i asked is she wanted me to come get N so she can have some space - but she said his cuddles and kisses and general nature makes her feel better - how lovely. she said she was crying when she hung up the phone from her sil and he came crawling over and gave her a big cuddle and wiped her tears. shucks i have a SNAG on my hands!! gosh i love him so much.
i know it is silly but this makes me anxious about my little bun in the oven.... what if something is wrong.
Clare - i would not worry about the bottle - i think it is great if she doesnt want it and if she gets dairy elsewhere - i want to stop the bottles with N - i was aiming for 18 months but that aint gonna happen - i reckon i will get him to just the night bottle (which he has to go to sleep - eek how will i lose that) by 18 months... and see what i can do to lose the other one, ideally before the baby is born but i guess not the worst thing if he still has it.
MD i am with you re the midnight crazies - i def think it is developmental - they are chging so much atm and so aware of everything - and i hear N dreaming as like me he talks in his sleep. am making v good use of the 'this will pass' mantra!
Clare - how areyou today?
better go, work to do and i am slippingout to yoga at lunch time - mmmm stretchies!!!!!!!!
hey everyone! sorry to have disappeared on you all, but our pc has died and I am getting a new laptop tomorrow. long story but stuff harvey norman am never buying there again. thinking of you all and i will catch up late tomorrow
Art - No wonder our thread is huge with you being a jabbermouth and all...hehe
PAP - Congrats on the 6 years. We're staying at Worldmark Resort on Denarau Island. They do the timeshare thingy that mum does so we get a great deal for the 10 nights. Plus its close to the port so we can head out to all the islands easily. Mum actually told me that my Nan is wanting to pay for ALL the babysitting costs over there for us. So considering three kids in total that might add up a bit...hehe. I so can't wait to head back over, we were on Sonaisali Island for the wedding and then went up to First Landing for the honeymoon. But because we had the family over there with us we sort of felt like we had to stick around them. This time its a free for all...splitting at the first opportunity.
MD - Woohoo on the great FDC mum...I think we've found our Mrs Brady up here. Sarah had her first day today and had no tears when I left. I was given a little sheet that told me what she got up to and her nap times and what she had for lunch (supplied by the FDC mum so that S can get some variety from what I offer her). I'm so happy and can't wait until 2moro now.
Trill - Pooh on Hardly Normal! Can they not get a simple request right?
We're getting better here but am off to bathe my filty daughter...she decided her dinner bowl looked better on her head...HALF FULL...lol
