is it a convertible? lol
Would if I could MD!!
I am craving those pink iced buns, might have to swing past brumbys again after toddler dance hehe. What a piggy.
Noni - At least she's staying in her own bed, we have had M sprawled out like a queen in our bed for the past 3 nights. I dont think we'll be shaking this habit any time soon either as she loves sleeping with us. All the best with the breast feeding classes, this time around you will know more so I'm sure you will be fine.
I have PMed you ladies...ssssh it's a secret! I actually thought Clare might be interested...
LOL MD your cruel side is coming out!!!
Gypsy - N is also so into our bed. in fact when his bed arrived this morning he seemed to think it was for DH, and pointed at our bed and said Mummy, Noah bed... DH was NOT impressed! now we need to think what bed routine we want to set up now... i am thinking we may ditch the rocking chair and bottle. maybe bath him, then he can have bottle out in lounge and then pop to bed for cuddles ans stories before he goes to sleep... aaah doesnt that sound ideal!!!!
pm me!
OH MY GOODNESS!!! I NEED IT NOW! its SOOO cute. T would lurrrrveee it! ahhhhh  go for it md!!
N would love it too..... I think clare needs to get it for L.. (since MD cant) - or post it to md...
MD - now i can see why you pm'd us. otherwise every mother would be bidding against each other for this. eeeekkkk!!!
MD, hope my post didn't seem to cold re extra childcare. You know Miss E will be fine - push that mummy guilt right out of your mind. You will recover from the chemo faster if you don't push yourself and take it easy. Maybe you could plan absolutely nothing for the weekends, just veg out and do simple things with the girls? Have people over for dinner with BYO takeaways? You could tell me the ebay bargain, I certainly won't be stealing it off you lol
Noni, hope you can get some care sorted out soon, it is nice to have a break! How is the pregnancy going? Are you going to the birth center again? Must be nice to not have to worry about BSL's this time. I was really hoping to skip GD this time round, but have been monitoring randomly and the numbers are starting to creep up - not helped by the huge amount of chocolate DH got me for my birthday!
Gypsy, it is nice to have those friends that realise that you don't stop being you just because you have a baby. My dear old school friends are like that, but the few friends I had in Brisbane still expected us to go to their place for everything with a new bub and complained about it if we invited them to our place instead.
Rainy, I tried Olive, DH stared at me for a bit and then started ranting about how if I wasn't going to be serious then he wasn't going to discuss it with me.... I think that counts as a no?? How is Jimmy now he has the medicine?
OMG, a couple of feijoas good, a couple of dozen feijoas BAD!!!
OK, it has been bothering me for a while now but does it bother anyone when I 'talk' about the things W is doing? He seems to be quite advanced for his age, I was looking on a couple of milestone websites and he passes almost every milestone for 3 year olds. It is just that I feel like I can't say anything about W at mothers group because they either a) don't believe me or think I am exaggerating (when really I dumb him down a bit) or b) they seem defensive and say things like 'oh, that's because he is your first child - your third won't be like that'. It is at the point now where I don't really talk about him at all, which is a bit sad because having a child is what I have in common with these people. It isn't just mother group either, I don't really tell the IL's much of what he does now because I am sick of MIL saying 'thats amazing' in a 'there's a pig flying past my window' voice.
Anyways, I just thought I would check, and please answer honestly if it bugs you and I won't talk about him so much - I honestly don't mean to make anyone feel bad just because W is an earlybird iykwim
Art - oh don't even go there girl! i LOVE hearing about what each child is up to. and i think it reinforces the fact that EVERY child is different. i want to hear what he is doing. what an amazing child! you SHOULD b very proud of him. your friends are just selfish and clearly don't have the time of day to even care about the welfare of your child. but u know some people just don't have it in them to ask questions about other people's child. i have so called 'friends' like that too. ones that don't even play with T, they just watch her and then go back to talking about their child this, and their child that.
Seriously Art - DO NOT stop telling us. Or i will come and wrestle you to the ground!
arte- omg please don't stop telling us about w. i love hearing how smart he is. sometimes i get so excited hearing his little tales that i even share them with dh as though he's my own child! you should never dumb him down to anyone cos he'll pick up on it and think he needs to dumb himself down and we'd hate to see that happen. he's gorgeous and i enjoy hearing about him so much.
md- i'll pick it up under one condition...they let me go in the middle of the day on a weekday so the boys can sleep in the car. i'm not sure how i'll get it to you, but i'll give it a crack. have you asked the seller if they'll post it to you?
pap- i hope you don't go into labour at sleep school!!!
ohh arte- i forgot to say, i took jimmy off the zantac as he was crying everytime i gave it to him. so i basically just stopped it and since then he's been perfect. freaky huh? tbh, i think he just had a really bad wind problem and as he's matured it's sorted itself out. he's the happiest, smiliest, most social little thing. a real chatterbox. he sticks his tongue out like a lizard when he smiles, so cute!!
what about evie? do you like evie or chloe?
oh and i'm beginning to think lewis is gifted anyway...before he fell asleep in the back of the car half way through a happy meal, slept for an hour, then woke up and continued on with the happy meal as though nothing had ever happened..smart or what?? ROFL
i like both evie and chloe
but i must say my mum's friend's name is Yvonne (pronounced e-von) and mum calls her evie as a nick name so i always think of that. but that's just me, so i'd prolly go for chloe, but only coz of that story.
Arte - your thread cold? Um NO?! I can't think why you would think that? In fact I can't think of a single time you have EVER posted anything that hasn't been compassionate, heartfelt, wise, sincere..?! I agree BTW with everything you say on the matter, just have to wrap my head around my short detour through a different kind of reality for a few months, kwim?
Also puhLEASE don't stop telling us about W - he is utterly adorable and it's always a highlight to hear about his latest entertaining little trick!
Oooh Rainy - I really don't know if I can ask you to do that, it's a fair way from your place isn't it? I have mssged the seller but I'm not holding my breath.
PMSL about L's giftedness. That's classic!
Art - there is no way that I want you to stop telling us about W! Just because I am jealous as all hell doesn't mean that it should stop you proudly telling us about his acheivements. I love hearing his little stories and think that you are one very lucky mummy for having such a clever boy. And I agree with Rainy about 'dumbing' him down. W might pick up on it. I have to ask though...what in the world did you eat or do during pg to get such an advanced little man? :D
MD - Tell me what it is? Please...someone PM me?. Theres no drama about me buying anything at the moment either as we are broke after Fiji
Must be a problem with my pm...still nothing there from MD or anyone... ;p
Sorry Kate I'm on dialup at the moment, my IE flipsoed on me so it took a bit to get it open again.
