G, they do have dresses at Myer, and I will check out what they have when I'm over there next Tuesday. I think if I do end up getting the from the US, they will have a better resale value kwim? The whole 'imported designer dress' type thing LOL. And definitely flowers in the hair too, but not done all curly, cause they would look a bit silly I think as their hair is so straight usually.
I know Clare! I"m like, 'whoa, that's not nearly enough time for me to lose enough weight' ROFL and MIL said the same thing to me the other night hehe. It's such a shame that it is so hard for you to crack the housing market. I guess the low interest rates have made people take the plunge.
Cally, I'm so excited about the sales too LOL. Myer is having 40% off Anolon cookware and I'm chomping at the bit to buy some - and with DH's blessing too no less! We really need a frying pan for the stove that properly fits the large hotplate plus we need a new electric frying pan.
Arte, that's fair enough about your Mum. I hate taking the kids to my Dad's place because of their dogs so I undertstand that. I hope it all works out for you in the end.
Oh the other thing I forgot is I finally booked a photo sitting for Alister! It's not till the start of next month though. I will have some done of them all together too. And then we will make the most of the wedding and have a full family photo then.

Sorry I have been MIA from BB lately.
I havent even had time to read about all whats been happening with you all yet.
My Cousin Pass away last week he was 49 massive heart attact they said so have had all the family up. I got sick on Sat night and went to the dr on monday and he said that I had tonsilitis but I dont have tonsils but the AB's have kicked in finally and starting to feel normal again so I am really happy about that and just to top my week off I discovered nits in Jordys hair and Xavier had no eggs but 2 live nits and Thank god Livi didnt have any so I have now got rid of the nits yipppeee. Oh what more can happen this week. Last week I also organised the boys birthday party and This years party is at movieworld after doing some research and found out that I can get a entry to movieworld, themed party and lunch and batman is bring the cake out for $45 a kid oh and vip seating for the parade with there names up on the big screen. they are also only charging me $25 for kids under 3 and for the first 10 adults will be $34.95 then $46after that. I looked up normal entry and they charge 45.95 for kids 3 and up and for adults its 69.95 so I thought this was a bargin and the best thing is they clean it all up. Havent organised anything for Livi yet. Kids are well apart from the nits and Xavier goes in to hospital again next week for his new 3year grommets.

needing some advise.. last night i was having what id call ealy labour contractions.. like the ones that are too painful to sleep through but u can still kinda rest with them.. im pretty worried because with Asha i didnt start getting these until about 2 weeks before she was born and i had nights on and off where i would have them just through a few hours of the night, exactly as i did last night.. has anyone had this as early as 31wks and not gone into labour in the following weeks?? im not sure what to do.. i wanted dh to stay home so i could see a dr or something but he has a very important day at work and since bub is moving and i dont currently have any pains or anything i told him to go... im just not sure what to do the thought of going into labour anytime soon is a scary one and if my body is doing the same thing with this bub as it did with Asha ive got about two weeks... eeeeek what should i do???

i replied in your other thread - dont go off what you think happened last time, every preg is different and all that... but if they are as intense as you say and something tells you to get checked - get checked!!!! it cant hurt to go and see - if it is the start of something they can help stop it or do whatever they think is necessary and if not they can reassure you... hope you are doing ok today

Gypsy, yip, I had very little ms this time. It is fantastic! The odd bit of feeling 'off' but nothing like last time round. I still get a tiny bit of nausea when I am really tired though. LMAO, there is no way I would leave W with the IL's. They are at the other end of the country anyway but I don't trust them with him. They want to do 'what grandparents do' and feed him as much crap as possible etc and don't think that an unguarded set of stairs is a hazard for a 15 month old so I don't really trust their judgement when it comes to safety.
Trill, do you have MD's cell number? I am worried about her, would you be able to send her a text to see how she is? I hope she hasn't caught any of the nasties going around.
Hey Arte I'm here. Did get gastro, got really sick yesterday afternoon (major bummer cos I missed this breast cansa forum with groovy guest speakers) and ended up in hospy last night. Lucky my white blood cell count is ok, so in theory I should get better just as quick as anyone, but they kept me in to give me fluids and monitor cos some of my obs were crazy. Got the royal treatment tho, got ushered to an isolation room and seen by the consultant within minutes of arriving LOL. Just have to make sure I drink enough as apparently I was really dehydrated even before the gastro symptoms started which is a bit of a worry.
Arte - agree with everything Trill said about W. Missy E has her clingy times but then she'll surprise us by going quite happily to a friends house to sleep overnight (like last night). Probably a good idea to start introducing him to the idea that other ppl can look after him and even tho it's not mummy it's still ok. That might mean leaving him with your mum for a hour when you're visiting, just long enough for you to pop out for a coffee or a walk, etc. Do it in stages, even if he's upset he'll learn that mummy does come back and it's ok.
Noni - hun what happened, did you ring the dr/hospy? I went in to get checked quite early on my pg with MissyE - they were quite happy to monitor me and take a look at my cervix even tho nothing was wrong. Better safe than sorry.
Leanne - so sorry to hear about your cousin, you sound devastated. Thinking of you and sending lots of love and support. xxx Bummer about the nits, they are a pita. Aw, thanks for thinking of me Trill. We've decided to postpone the partay just cos I'm not too sure how long it will take for the lurg to run its course in the household, kwim? DD1 stamped her foot and complained until I pointed out it will only be a fortnight after her actual birthday *rolleyes*. I'll keep her entertained writing up a menu/designing party decorations in the meantime ;). Keep her eye on the prize, so to speak! LOL
I'm pretty sure my blood count was still up because of all the extra nutritional thingies I'm having Trill. I'm seeing the naturopath again next week (*clutches wallet and looks faint*) so we'll add to the regimen if necessary then. As it is it takes me a good half hour to mix up the potions and powders and mouthwash and pills each time LOL.

trying my best to get ready for bub.. really trying to focus on what i need not what i want lol i cancelled my layby at babies galore of the capsule and pram because i really dont need to spend 480 on something thats only gonna get used till hes 6mths old when we have a spare carseat anyway haha.. am off to the toys r us sale today to look for a suitable stroller tho coz ours is about to crap itself and try my best to hold myself back and dont put too much on if i make a layby lol..

and yeah, melbourne is apparently 'famous' for its auction culture. they just love an auction here. it is sooo weird. we look like real out of towners when we ask for the private sales list LOL!
PP: we were going to go away this weekend. until we realised that the place we wanted to go to has a 2 month wait list. so by the time i realised we missed out on everywhere!! so bummed. in the end we'll go the open plains zoo on the monday and the collingwood childrens farm on sunday. pat a few chickens, and milk a cow.
AFM: all good. leila is a treasure. we are just loving every moment. i am really enjoying the extra freedom we have with her now. like last night we decided to spoil ourselves and go and get some takeout pizza from this really delectable place (you know, we live in the 'italian capital' near lygon st) so off we trudged and when we got there, we were persuaded by the guy to stay and sit in (he was loving the fact that he could talk in italian to us...:rolleyes:). and we could! normally at that time of night, leila is too hard to settle or enjoy as she hits the wall. but lately we have been able to just go about at night with no dramas and ENJOY dinner out. such a big moment for us LOL! meanwhile the dog was howling out the front but that's a whole other story LOL!

I will happily pay $12 for a haircut for him because I think he would look like a meathead with it shaved LOL, he just has that crappy sort of hair that would stick up everywhere with a shave. But then I book all 5 of us (me and the kids) in with my regular hairdresser and it's $85 for all of us and I usually get a blowdry too.

Trill - Funny you should say that about Alister, I was thinking about this the other day too. People always commented how "easy" DD1 was but maybe she saved it all up for me - some days her particular brand of needing every ounce of my personal energy exceeded my ability to cope. There is *no way* I could've added another child to the mix before DD1 went to kindy. Missy E has been far 'easier' in comparison, it's like she's happier to just be in her personal space than DD1 was, ITMS. In some ways she's more demanding but in others it's much easier to meet those demands. Funny, how different they each are, isn't it? Having a child is like the biggest randommest lottery in life, LOL!
We have a long weekend here, but DH is on his last day of shift today, so nothing really planned. We have to weed the vege garden though at some stage. But otherwise it's too wet to do much really, not that that's a bad thing, but when it's wet it means that there is work to be done on the farm. We might sow some more crop now we've had more rain, so DH would be busy doing that, plus we are supposed to be shearing on Tuesday and Wednesday, but I think that will be put off for a week now.
The girls could be quite a handful, they were very active and into everything at this age too, but Alister adds that typical boyish "like a bull at a gate" enthusiasm too :rolleyes: so even though he probably isn't a great deal different in a lot of ways to what the girls were like, it just seems 10 times worse as he does things that they NEVER did. But the girls grew out of it and I think he will too, but he will still be a very rough and tumble little boy, more than what Lindsay ever was as Lindsay was, and still is, a lot more cautious about things and his pace was a lot slower. I can see Alister being the one who has a million trips to the ED before he even hits his teens LOL.

not much going on here for long weekend. just got back from doing supermarket shop, will prob spend all arfternoon cleaning the house. tomorrow might take lewis to a maze up the road for something to do..all he wants to do is ride his dirtbike though...
jimmy is a more high-needs baby than lewis....prob would've been easier if they'd swapped their order lol...ah well, we're just rolling with it.

Its not the first time we have shaved L's head, normally we do it after DH does his. Yesterday I just gave him some food while I did it. He doesn't sit still the whole time but long enough to do an ok job lol.
Trillian L looks like a meathead but I figure it is ok since DH is bit of a meathead lol. What a great deal you get on haircuts.

OMG Rainy that dirtbike is so cool! I would never see W again if he had something like that! DH is already talking about the grass kart he is going to get in a couple of years. ATM our rainy day thing is to watch dune buggies and 'landgrobers' (landrovers) on you tube. It is quite funny, a clip has about 30 seconds to impress him or he says "too boring, find a better one!" lol He is so into boy things like that.
Clare, I have been thinking lately how much easier life is with a bigger toddler. He can do so much more for himself now, he gets his own shoes on (50/50 of getting it right lol), puts his washing/nappies in the laundry, gets things when I ask etc, just generally helpful. We have a lovely routine which works for everyone. And now we are about to throw a new baby into the mix LMAO.
MD, I guess I will have to convince DH to allow mum to watch W, it is the only possible way for it to work. Hope you are feeling better. That is a huge bummer about having to shift the party, but I am sure that H will barely remember the postponement as soon as her friends start arriving. How is she doing at her new school?

Okay...Hi girls...Sorry for being so slack on here. I keep meaning to catch up and read the posts but they get away from me so quickly. I've just spent 2 hours catching up on them all and although I can't remember much I am thinking of you all in your own ways. I usually also have a hard time trying to figure out what to say :doh:
Selfish a bit here but just to catch you all up on us (apart from fb statuses which is a big addiction for me)
Teething - S seems to be getting ready to cut the 2yr molars. Shes still been chewing her fingers heaps and drooling massive amounts since Fiji. Not too bad apart from the odd day of unsettledness and tantys.
Sleeping - She goes down in her cot at 7pm and we don't let her out until after 6am. If we hear her then before we ignore her and she usually drifts back to sleep. I'm trying to push her back to later and am currently at 6.22am (yep, spot on most mornings). She stays in her bed and although she chatters away before drifting off I think she would stay in the bed even if i moved her to a toddler bed. I'm tossing up about getting her a big girl bed but am happy how things are going at the moment and seeing as I have no need for the cot back as yet, I'll just keep on keeping on. Her day naps are fun tho, she will crack mini tantys until drifting off to sleep but then will have min 1.5-2hours naps. :dance:
Eating - is a PITA. Mainly dinner time, she doesn't seem all that interested in different things so am persevering with that. Shes fine with cheese, yoghurts and fruits but savoury meals are a hassle to get into her.
Day care - found her an awesome family day care mum who S loves. She goes two days a week and really looks forward to it. After the first day she knew exactly what to do to get ready for lunch and then carried her plate over to the bin for scraps and popped her plate in the sink. Then headed to the wash basin to get her hands washed. I am constantly amazed at how much they absorb.
Talking - Shes got a couple of basic words, but seems to have good comprehension so I'm not too worried. The longer it takes her to start repeating my potty mouth the better I think :redface:
2nd birthday parties - Anyone started thinking about this one? I have Sarahs theme sorted and have even started getting whats needed together. I mate was talking about her daughters 2nd bday and it got me to thinking so now, of course, I can't get it out of my head. It will be ladybug themed and I'm going to make invites with wings that slide out to reveal the details. I have found some red balloons with black dots from a USA site that I want to get, plus party boxes. I have ladybug bottles of bubbles, red plates etc, little figurine thingys for the party boxes as well as stickers and decorations. I found an awesome costume on ebay in the US that I have won so she'll look so cute. I can't wait...its probably the last year that I can choose her theme so will chose a theme that I love..ahem, I mean that she loves :lol:
TTC - well we are in the 'non-prevention' stage but with DH working away it seems to be 'prevention-due-to-separation' stage instead. I think I am ready but then think that its taken me this long to get Sarah organised into a great routine etc so do I really want to disrupt that?
Anyhoo...enough about me! Please remember that even though I'm a bad bb friend, I still constantly think about you girls and hope for all the best for all your situations. Hopefully, will be back on more often.
