MD, why is your green light still on!!!
MD, why is your green light still on!!!
It's because I had chemo yesterday and I'm on steroids which means i have ZERO IMPULSE CONTROL (she says with a piece of chocolate cake hanging out of her mouth). LOL
Yeah Clare, bet my essays are finished before your next chapter is LOL.
LOL MD, you know that no one is going to be hard on you when you rip out the chemo excuse! Hope you are feeling alright. BTW, I don't even need steriods to have zero impulse control atm, yesterday I ate an entire bag of M and M's and I am halfway though a pack of chocolate biscuits today. Thank goodness I don't have GD this time.
Clare, I have found that most PhD students spend 90% of their time procrastinating rather than actually doing their thesis lol
md - how many more treatments have you got left?
clare - poor little Lthat must be horrible for her.
arte - my styling session was great. She's really given me the tools i need when buying clothes. Pretty much all of the things i bought i can mix and match, which makes getting ready so much easier.
afm - I'm finding being a Mum to a 7 year old really difficult at the moment.
My baby girl has grown up and i'm having trouble dealing with it. She's being sneaky - taking money without asking for tuckshop, hiding vitamin c tablets to take to school, and just not listening properly. She does bloody handstands just about every minute of the day (even when i'm trying to discipline her!!) and doesn't really get the whole being compassionate and showing empathy towards others. I feel like crying every day - because i seem to yell at her daily. I have to learn that she is her own person, and i cannot be in control of her every thought and action.
Sorry everyone, I'm just not sure how to deal with it. This is unchartered territory for me....anyone have a Road map????
JaZaH,I don't have any advice to give, just a load of sympathy.
My dear Jaz
I wish I did have a roadmap for you - but as a newbie I have no advice, in fact you are one of the 'experienced' mummies I look to for the way ahead... It must be so awful for you but I am sure you are dealing with it better than most people would, even the way you react and feel about it.
My mum told me she used to ask 'will it matter when she's 30?' i think it helped her get through sone of my naughhtiness
