Clare, glad that your migraine has gone, sounds like a whooper.
Isn't the weather crazy atm! I was sitting outside marvelling at how lovely and warm it was with the sun shining, went inside for about 2 minutes and when I looked out W was sitting in the sandpit being hailed on!
Ginger, were you planning to get a 14 ft trampoline? They are massive! W has just figured out how to jump and how to land on his bum, it has been sitting in the yard for a few months now but he has finally started to use it. It is a great size though, especially with two kids. How is the pony campaign going? Really there aren't that many ongoing costs with a Sheltland pony - those things can live on the smell of grass so you don't need to give them heaps of supplimentery feed, probably the biggest cost would be the hoof trimming every few months, which isn't even that much. Tell him that the dirt bike probably uses more in petrol than a pony would cost.
Finally had some time today to paint the babies bookcases - one more coat and they will be finished. That will be satisfying.
Trill, I forgot to answer you about the size of the bookcase. W's one is 1.3m, the babies one is 90cm and the one in the office that had to be butchered to fit in is 2.4m.
I find W's one to be a good height for him - he can't reach the top two shelves so I have all the books that are too old for him and the soft toys that just mess up the place up high so he can't reach them. I am sure you could make a really nice set for the girls, they aren't hard at all.
ETA, does anyone have any fathers day plans? DH doesn't think it is a big deal (hence the reason I get nothing for mothers day) so we aren't doing anything. I let W pick a present when we went shopping last week, he managed to pick something surprising relevant (a Kombi shaped tin - we have a Kombi), we got it wrapped while DH was out but within 3 minutes of DH getting home W was saying 'might get that Kombi one for dad' and was going to retrieve it so we gave it to him early.
