HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY JIMMY. ;) Didn't mean to yell, caps was on..
Oh WOW G! 6 months old already!!!! that time has really flown. Soon you will have two little boys.
LOL Oz, I know! by this time with your first baby you've had all their clothes washed and packed away for months, their room is sorted and crib made up ready to go and hospital bag is packed - its so much more casual with each one after that.
Clare, that would have been so scary! Glad you're all OK though. And have you made sure the dream house is safe and sound? I would have been there first thing LOL if it were me.
Cally. Katie is getting so grown up now. I always had a problem with the girls at first getting them to leave their hair done nice too. There are so many gorgeous little hair things around too.
H  at the timing of M's paddy at the shops! Alister throws them all the time when he can't have a lolly and he bangs his head on the floor too. Gets a laugh from the shop people anyway. Thanks for all your confidence in me too - I'm so nervous about it.
PP, you could try one of those little pillow things you can get to help with that. It sort of keeps their head up off the matress a bit I think is how it works. Or you could try laying him on his side as well now he's a bit bigger.
Noni, I'm so proud of you for the way you have approached this and want so bad to make it work. I hope you do get to that meeting this morning.
Just when I think A is getting back to normal, we've started with the poo again :( but I am starting to see a pattern though - after I posted yesterday saying how well he was going, I then had 2 nappies in a row looking like he'd eaten dirt, and then today it's liquid again and the bum rash is back. That's how it was last week too. It's just so frustrating!
6 months!? Aww its flying by. Happy 6 months to J.
Oz - Have you got the baby's room almost done, or havent really started? I am hanging out for this big arrival, I am hoping for a little girl.
Maddie's been up since 4.30am!! Arghhhh! I think it probably has something to do with her 4 hr sleep yesterday arvo. She woke with a runny nose yesterday & was a tad grumpy so I think she was a bit under the weather, hence the big sleep.
Trill - Oh no something is really not right with A! What is your next step/next appt etc? It must be so frustrating to know something is up but what is it exactly. I know perfect timing to chuck a major wobbly, while laying in the trolley (refused to sit in the trolley seat, that should have been my 1st warning sign hehe) way to go M making me look like a bad mum in front of my friends & their very well behaved DD lol.
Has anyone seen the awesome cubby houses you can buy from kit craft here in WA? My gosh they are AWESOME to say the least, I have been begging DH for one for Mads for chrissy but they arent cheap & he is insisting on building it himself. Which is nice & all but I hope he can finish it by chrissy.
H, I would love to get the kids one of those sorts of cubbys, but DH wont have a bar of it - he's probably right though - they are really exxie, but oh so gorgeous! Don't worry about your friends perfectly behaved DD - my girls always turned on the act in public and knew how to behave when out, but they made up for it when they were at home LOL - I wouldn't be at all surprised if their DD is the same and they just don't say anything. I think it makes you more *real* to be able to say 'oh yeah, my child can be a right little turd' instead of pretending they are good all the time kwim?
We have a paed appointment on the 8th of next month, so not too far away.
MM those cubbies are gorgeous. I reckon go for it. We never committed to a cubby for DD1 and it's the one thing she always wanted. Of course with moving around it was a bit more complicated for us. We're just waiting for the nicer weather (and the end of chemo!!!) to do the revamp on our ebay one - can't wait. :)'
Trill well it is good news that it was nothing obvious but also very frustrating that there's not an apparent reason. Is it possible he has contact with something in the garden/on the farm that's causing it? I'm thinking along the lines of DD1's mysterious rash which only ever pops up when the weather is warm (and she is therefore mucking about out in the garden a lot more - obviously playing with something that sets it off). Clutching at straws I know but it is possible.
Happy Half birthday Jimmy!!! Hope this is an auspicious sign for the rest of today Ginge.
Ok well I"m on the home run now, have fully half of my final essay written...just need to go out for chips and m&m supplies to get me thru...LOL. Hoping to knock it over today so I can check it with a fresh brain tomorrow. Wish me luck, I *can* do this.
Oh and good news. I applied for special child care benefit (where Centrelink pays your whole portion of child care fees for 3 months) and got it all approved this week. Not only are they paying for E's fees, they are also paying DD1's OSHC and have backdated it to April when it all began. OMG I am so relieved, I feel like I can breathe again.
Morning Girls,
Well So much to catch up on I dont know where to start.
Holiday was great I did loads of shopping. I have all the kids all ready for summer although it looks like it has already started here. All I need is to get them more summer PJ's. I got heaps and heaps of bargins and picked up the best bargins from Walmart ie- got heaps of tops and shorts for Livi for under $5 and they are really really nice too..... Vegas was great but I seemed to have gotten a little ok a lot drunk one night and paid for it the next day. The kids had a ball. Oh 1 day when we went into LA (as DH had a meeting at the Trade Qld Building) and they put the suite number in the navman instead of the street number we ended up in the hood...lol OMG it was so dirty I mean rubbish was piled up in the gutters. Luckly my DH then checked the address and realised the mistake and so we then went to the right part of town and so while he was at his meeting we went for a walk sightseeing and well thats when Livi decided to crack the most biggest tanty ever seen...... I mean she was like possessed....... after 1/2hr of screaming and yelling and crying she decided to stop when daddy returned... I was in shock...... and thankfull never seen that possessed side of livi for the rest of the trip and hopefully never will.... Disney was amazing as always and after 5 days there we still havent been on all the rides and shows... It sure is the happiest place on earth I must say. Livi now has temps so I am off to the drs. Have heaps more to tell so BBL.
Hello to everyone
Love
Leanne
hi girls!
G: happy 'halfwaythere' birthday to little jimmy!!!! cooee. time does tick along! the storm i dont think was so bad. we got hit mostly cause the fencing of our place and our neighbours is the 'brunswick dive' variety and the schrapnel is all from the park across the road.
Oz: gosh, i was bad enough with my first baby! we had to set up the nursery post arrival! and the car seat wasnt in...
Leanne: WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so jealous of your finds! well ok, sooo jealous of your entire trip LOL!
MD:  WTG on the paperwork front (both essays and CCB thingies). mmm chippies mmmmmmmmmm. can you read a coupla chapters of mine??? have to do a panel review (EEEEEEKKKKKKKKK!) in 2 weeks and am pooing in my pants.
MM: te he he (whose the grumpy bum? you or mads LOL!) 4.30 is insane in the membrane...hope that you had a good DVD to pop in while you lay comatose on the couch LOL! that said miss L has been dabbling in the fine art of waking early. dearly hope that she realises that it is way uncool.
Cally: pretty hair thingies worked a treat for Leila. now it is all about the clips with plasicy diamond things and butterflies (blergh! ha ha ha!!!).
Noni: hope you have a good and supportive time at the ABA meeting today xx
AFM: nothing to report really. am having mega freak out about work stuff but will be okay. just have to get through a grilling via a panel where i showcase the work that i have done so far. and well, let's just say that fellow peers can be MEAN. ha ha ha! i guess if i cry they might leave me alone...
hi girls
well, dh's case got thrown out of court with no charge. woo hoo! so he's a free man LOL, pity about the 4.5k it cost us but oh well!
i'm pretty bored and lonely at home without him. i really don't know how single mums do it tbh. i'm doing my head in here!
clare- that panel sounds so nerve racking. i could never do that!
leanne- lol at you ending up in the hood! sounds like a great trip was had by everyone though. bet you're exhausted now though.
md- woo hoo on c/link $. that's fantastic news, so happy for you.
good luck on final essay. just get some twisties to help you through. they're great for anything i find LOL
WOOO HOOO G what great news. Such a bummer about the costs.
Wooo hoo to you too MD.
Leanne glad you had such a good trip.
Argh L is being a pain better go entertain him lol.
Ginger, sooo glad all the positive vibes your devoted threat buddies sent have changed the outcome of the legal system permanently ;-). LOL Good news, worth celebrating BIG TIME!
BTW I have already polished off a bag of twisties, and I've got a mixed lot of m&ms on the go too! Cally I found some jaffas in the cupboard yesterday and I too developed a sore tongue LOL. Unfortunately, you can eat all the food but the essay still doesn't automatically write itself *sigh*. I think the chemo has affected my cognitive functioning. Maybe a cup of tea will stimulate my creative juices?
Clare you are one brave lady and of course I will read a coupla chapters for you - and even provide insightful comments...once tomorrow is finished and the essay has launched off into completion land.
hi girls - quick one from me...
Ginger - HAPPY BDAY JIMMY!!!! i cant believe he is 6 months already - gone toooooo fast! yay for DH case being thrown out - when is he back? I agree with you, my hats off to single mums...
MD - woo hoo on the essay. i agree some twisties will get you through!
Clare - panel sounds awful - but you will blitz it!
Leanne - welcome back! sounds awesome... v jealous. hope livvy isnt sick.
I went for a walk today with a mother's group. i donmt know if i told you i bumped into a girl from school with an 8 wk old at the paed last week? i got her nunber and was arranging a meet up and she invited me to go with her mums group. was really nice to spend a few hrs with them and some bubs the same age as J (or close). I hope they invite me again...
i have put a few pics up on fbook (tell me if you are sick of them, i seem to upload a lot!)(
ETA MD a cuppa and a few handfuls of M&Ms will def help!
thanks girls
mmmm i might make myself a cup of tea too. sounds lovely.
hopefully he comes back tomorrow, but he's thinking of staying until sat...i'm not too impressed by that but i guess he doesn't get to see his family very often so another day won't kill me.
that's great about your new mothers group pap. i kinda feel sorry for jimmy in a way that all his friends are gonna be lewis' friends iykwim? except for his girlfriend Sas of course, but everyone else is lewis' age from playgroup, mothers group etc.
might go on fb now to see pap's pics.
oh ange- forgot to say, did a big order with snapfish yesterday, will be great to see how they turn out.
hi girls!
PP: ooooh i hope you can go back to the Mums group too! i am SURE that they would want you there! i know that i wanted all the ppl that wanted to come to be there in our MG. i was always sad when some dropped off...
G: WOOT WOO!!!!! that is so awesome that it was thrown out! pity that it had to cause so much stress and time away though.
MD: now i have to find some twisties LOL!
snapfish is awesome... i have used it a bit in the past...
my tea is brewing!
Yep i hope they invite me to some of their outings - i also wanted a nice big MG when we started ours (there are just 2 of us now LOL)! they were lovely girls and such cute bubbas... all boys which was funny!! anyway it was really nice morning...
i'm glad you say snapfish is good, cos i ordered 2 canvas prints there- after checking out the quality of the ones at big w i was not impressed.
also did heaps of normal photos- so excited to get them back.
i just bought jimmy a teething necklace like lewis' as well as he is drooling like crazy.
oops i forgot i put the kettle on!
Rainy, Happy 1/2 Birthday to Jimmy! I was showing W pics of new bubbas and we were looking through the Sept FB group and saw one of Jimmy and now he keeps popping up with "saw pictures of Jimmy" - it was a daily highlight that he told DH about lol. So glad that court went well, must be a load off your mind. Re snapfish, I ordered some canvas prints from them, about $400 worth and I wasn't happy with them and they entirely refunded my money which was pretty good since it was my stuff up - I didn't take into account the wrap around and it made everything off center. They didn't even want the old ones sent back. So I would recommend them, the customer service and guarantee were excellent.
PAP, that is great that you found a mothers group, I am sure they won't mind if you become a regular. Have you ordered your avatar yet? I am still waiting to see if they can find a match for N's hair lol
MD, M+M's will get you through anything. I was thinking of you today as I chased my healthy lunch apple with a whole bag of chips and half a block of chocolate... I am terrified that the baby will come out and I will discover that my cankles aren't swelling, just too much junk food lol
Oz, I can't believe how different it is expecting #2, so much is being left until the last minute.
Had an iron shot today, didn't hurt at the time but it is a bit tender now.
I traumatised W this morning with muesli. I made some for him and he was excited about trying it, but on the first mouthful his face crumpled up and through his tears he was saying "not delicious....tastes like woodchips...mum might feed it to Chimmy (dog)". I couldn't stop laughing which made him cry more. Poor kid. He spent the next hour saying "not trying muesli anymore" and bursting into tears at the thought of it!
PMSL Laughing Arte! DH & I just had a little giggle at that. What a sweetheart.
Leemar - Sounds like you had an absolute ball in Vegas, so glad you had a good time. Wonder why Livi had such a bad tantrum, was she tired & over it?
Rainy - Might have to give snap fish a go myself, I had pics developed at Big W and they were terrible. YAY for your DH, that must be a relief. I had Marlene make me a hi 5 bday invite for M, so impressed.
MD - I know how cool are those cubbies!! I always wanted one when I was younger, but my dad was so busy working to find the time to make one. Poor dad, he still feels guilty about it even to this day lol. So I am determined that M will have an awesome one. Sounds like you are on the home stretch with the essay writing, I hope the cuppa worked a bit.
PAP - I'm sure the mums group will invite you back, hows that for perfect timing, meeting an old school buddy just when you were looking to join a mums group. Meant to be.
Great news about DH ginge! 4.5K is better than a conviction.
Welcome back Leanne. :D
Hubbys last day of work today! Woo-freakin-hoo.
MD- That is GREAT news about the money. Glad you are getting a little bit of a hand during this rough patch. :)
I drove 3 hours last night to go shopping for 2 and a half! You know how unmanageable shopping with 2 kids is, so i went when when H got home with just Sas. The up side was that CR seems cut for me at the moment. I got 2 pairs of long shorts, some denim pants and a few tops. And bargain of the day was some rockport shoes which i thought were $180, but at the registered they scanned at $125! Gotta love that. :D Tired today though.
i love encouraging people's CR addiction. i'm totally jealous though ange, don't tell me you went to doncaster without me?
hayley-show us your hi 5 invite in the sep group if you can, i'd love to see it. i'll let you know how these snap fish pics turn out.
arte- i can't believe you have scarred w for life with muesli! what a crack up. so cute he loves baby jimmy, all the toddler girls at mothers group are obsessed with jimmy and all fuss over him and try to shove bottles in his mouth and pick him up like he's a baby born doll. he's so cruisey about it all though and just loves all the attention and kisses from the girls.
i'm sooo tired today. had a really bad night with jimmy, i actually ended up just sitting up and watching tv with him from 3am-5am, then lewis woke at 6am. ggrrrrr, so i'm totally buggered today. might just have to have a bit of a dvd day today.
 sorry! i love Doncaster. Although i heard a rumor that Chaddy has finished the renovation and it is pretty good.....
MD - Forgot to say, thats excellent that your cc is now covered for a bit, that will help you guys out alot. So glad for you.
Ange - Was this a shopping trip just for you, as in you bought no kiddies clothing? hehe. Just asking as I always go out to buy something for myself & always end up with something for M.
Rainy - Aww it must be a girl thing as M fusses over little babies as well. I love watching her play with her dollies, wrapping them in a blankie, patting to sleep and then feeding them lol. DVD day today all the way, you poor thing! Why was J so unsettled? I am exhausted today too, had a rough night with M & her molars.
No uni today but seeing as I am paying $50 for a half day in daycare, I'm sending M along & going to get a much needed hair cut while I can! I am going out tonight with work as well, so good timing, I'll get a blow dry. Mind you, dont know if I'll be staying out much past 8...I'm so tired lol.
Forgot to mention, when I picked her up from daycare on Tuesday, & got her undressed for a bath, poor M had a huge bite mark on her arm. Must have hurt, as when I pointed to it & asked what happened, she kept saying 'ouch'. :(
:o That is terrible H, did the carers say anything? Surely it must have hurt if the mark was still there hours later. Poor little chicken. Nah no goodies for the girls. ALL for me! :D I was tempted by a gorgeous little dress, but it was in a very funky designer shop and $130 for a size 2 dress was just a bit out of my price range!
MM that is terrible, that would def be reported to the parents at our kindy - even though it was prob unintentional just so you know what happened. poor little M. LOL though N is sucha sissy he would have shown me and told me as soon as i walked in the door! I guess you dont need to wory about M being rough...
MD - did the M&Ms do the triick?
Ange - what a haul, that is great! i am impressed you could get out and shop just for yourself - i am yet to do that (but looking fwd tolosing some weight so i can). I would be such a gonner if i had a girl...
all going well here - it is my 1st full day with the boys alone (what a wimp i hear all you old hands say) - so far it is going ok... we went for friday bubacinos this morning (and i think i befriended some mroe mums there - i am on a roll!!) and then to questacon - wore little N out. fed them both in thelounge there and then brought them home.. and managed to get them both to sleep! YAY! so i have rushed down some lunch and i am on here for afew mins... lukcy little J still self setttles is all i can say bc i battled with N for 30 mins to get him to sleep. i hope J keeps this self settling up. that said i had abad night with him last night (must be the nigt for it ginger) - think his cold was keeping him up. he is growing so much we may have to move out of the moses basket soon and into the cot. boo hoo it is going SO fast!
i wonder how miss noni is getting along today?
PMSL Arte at the muesli.
grrrr. did mega post and it got chomped up for dinner...or lunch if going by EST...
MM: i'd let the carers know so that they can keep an eye out for chompity chompers on the loose. they should also have had you sign off on an injury like that or at the very least advised you that she might have a bruised arm. i'd raise it just in case they dont realise that it happened IYKWIM.
Ange: woot woo on the shopping. so so jealous. i sooo need a wardrobe overhaul it aint funny.
PP: i am so proud of you sista! sounds like you aced it! must have been such a big moment having the two eating peacefully away in the lounge...job well done babe!
G: omg. those hours sound horrendous! hope you can score some sleep in time when DH gets home is all i can say! you so deserve it!
Arte: ha ha ha! he is sooo dramatic LOL! i hope you ate some in front of him to show him that he is sooo missing out LOL! mmmm muesli....mmmmmm
AFM: all good here. leila is eating like a champ again. i got so worried when she was ill that all the pain would develop into a food association IYKWIM.
also our (new) house is still standing after the windstorm. DH drove past yesterday...ggrrr didnt think to take us! Ah well.
Thanks girls & Clare I think you are right, I doubt they even knew it had happened. She has been bitten twice before in the babies room & on both occassions they informed me and wrote it up as an accident etc, got me to sign off. This time it was well hidden under her t -shirt, top part of the arm on the fleshy side :( . I was going to mention it today but it slipped my mind, the carer was talking to me about something else and I got too engrossed but I will let them know for sure next week. Also I dont want to kick up too much of a stink, I'd feel terrible if M bit another child & I am also scared that she might pick up this habit at daycare.
PAP - Yay you do sound like you are on a roll, hope it stays this way for awhile! Dont worry I'd be nervous having two home alone.
Clare - So glad L is eating well again, & I can understand your worry of L developing the food association with the pain. Is her mouth completely cleared or is it well on its way?
Falguni - $130 for a dress is just wayyyyy to much. Thats crazy! You'd have to be married to a millionaire to buy your kids clothing that expensive lol.
Oz - Have a great weekend in Sydney!!
well i ended up taking the boys to my friend's house this morning for a pony ride as it was way too beautiful a day to watch dvds. lewis even collected some chicken eggs and chased her ducks around for a while....i soooooo badly want a pony, and i heard a little rumour that a friend of ours might be selling her dd's shetland soon as they are moving into the burbs....now i just have to get dh to come around. not an easy task.....
clare- glad the new place is still standing. how many weeks till you move in?
pap- well done on going out with the 2 of them. did you put j in a sling?
ange- i don't think it was a good move leaving that bottle at the playcentre, now i'm just stuck with only one he'll drink out of!
Im still here.. Had a bit of a rough day on thursday.. Saw aba councellor and aba lactation consultant.. Neither could offer me much in the way of what could have gone wrong.. They looked at my attatchment and said it looked good. I don't always get it that good but I was generally taking him off if it felt wrong.. The lc said I should breastfeed him first and top up with formula slowly reducing down the amount of formula, switching sides 4 times instead of 2 so he gets more milk coz he slows down after a few minutes and eventually stops feeding or fusses.. Anyway all good advice I felt ok except that no one cld really tell me what went wrong.. Went to the gp and the gp advised me it would be fine to do both if I felt I wanted to but it wasn't ok to reduce his formula anytime soon because he's still below the 50th percentile which he was born into... they sort of let me in on the fact that he was sicker then they made out at the time but I had agreed to put him on formula at that time and they didn't want me to feel worse than I did.. I feel kinda better having the decision made for me.. I don't feel like I can continue to bf if it won't eventually get me anywhere iykwim? Its a lot of extra work for no possible steps forward anytime soon... I feel a bit better knowing that I really did try my absolute hardest and although I feel a little dissapointed in the outcome im not willing to go against medical advise when I believe my gp has the best interests of his health in what he's telling me if that makes sense..
Still don't feel 100% right.. A little detatched from both kids and well everyone.. Not sure if im just overwhelmed coz its been a tough few weeks and william hasn't really had a calm period yet where things have flowed well for a few days atleast (he's curently got thrush in the mouth and a horrid nappy rash so still not happy).. Im hoping once he calms down we all will.. Ughhh anyway just thought I better jump on here and let u all know what's happening since uve all been so supportive...
Oh Noni...big hugs and hang in there sweetie. Of course it's been a rough few weeks, I'm sure he will keep gaining and you'll get past this little hump and then one day you'll realise you're feeling more back to your normal self again. And do you know what, sometimes things just don't turn out the way you wanted, but that's life and eventually you get to the point where it's ok just because it is. Kwim? So try to be gentle on yourself. You know already you're a good mummy, you've got Miss A to show you that so just try to relax and enjoy the ride a bit more. Will you do that just for us? :)
Ginger - yeah get a pony and make sure you give it a food-based name LOL.
MM - gosh I would be really upset if I found a bite mark, so make sure you bring it up.
Clare I'm desperate for a wardrobe revamp too. Glad your house is still there. I hope you have in-betweeny insurance on it before settlement (something to do with avoiding a dispute if it burns down while it's under contract).
Ange I'm jealous-as over your shopping spree. I'm the biggest Rockport fan ever ever ever. Told DH I'm buying a new pair when the tax money arrives LOL.
Arte I'm as enchanted as everyone else with W's muesli story. I foresee a future in theatre...LOL.
PP - yeah the M&Ms did the trick - submitted the essay this afternoon AND it actually makes sense (unlike the 5 pages of gibberish I had yesterday - managed to wrangle it into something) but now I've got a pimple on the end of my tongue from all that sucking LOL. Can't believe how tired my brain is.
hi girls thought i would jump on while DH has N at gymbaroo....
and J is sleeping...
we are off toa party at 11, it is a little girl who was born a couple of wks before N (friend from school) - so it is hitting me hard that they are all nearly 2!
Noni - as MD says be kind to yourself. yu have realy tried and it seems it just isnt the best thing for you guys right now. what did the gp say was wrong with him? i thougth it was normal that they my be born at a certain percentile and then move to another (e.g. J was born at 25% and is now trending on the 50th and it can go either way). i am not questioning your choice at all, i am more just interested... anyway hope that you can now relax a little and enjoy this time (or get through it - depends on the day LOL!!) - and you are a great mum as your gorgeous girl proves.
clare - glad the house is ok. have yo taken the pic yet with the sold sign?
sherie - how is A?
I am jealpous of you girls with the outdoor/country lifestyle - pony rides, lambs etc - is my family missing out?? it sounds amazing for the kids...
G woudl a pony cost less than the 4.5K punch up? (that;s the angle i woudl be pushing)
 Good angle.
Noni- hope you're feeling better about your decisions now. What's most important is that you feel at peace with it all.
Glenn is a freeeeeeee man! Woohoo. Finished work yesterday.
MD- Good work on the essay. Very impressed you managed to do it with everything else thats going on, how is the sore arm btw?
bbl
I'm not up with all the birthdays but i see it is little Hannahs birthday today! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH! Where has the two years gone???? :o
Oh my goodness, Happy Birthday big Miss 2 Year old Hanny, Ya Cutiepatootie!!! :D
grrr lost ANOTHER post...
but...
:bluecheer: HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH :cheer:
G: i like PPs idea of 'operation pony' LOL!
Ange: any cool plans for Gs first weekend as a free man? i need to live vicariously through you as i am a soccer widow again this weekend...
MD: so so stoked that you got that essay off...total champion effort. i almost passed out reading my opening para on one chapter of mine...horrific is the best way to describe it...egad.
Noni: glad that u have found some zen with the feeding. i cant imagine how hard it must be to face that xx
MM: yep, her mouth is fully cleared. it was such a nightmare week. the girls in my MG were horrified at how swollen her face was from it...looked like she had mumps!
AFM: well we hung out in our new hood. ate some freshly made sweeties at a local greek cake shop, had coffee and bubbacinos. then went and inspected a baby/kid clothing store, but realised when i picked up a sz 0000 onsie that cost $94 that i *may* have entered way out of my league LOL! i mean it was gorgeous (hence i picked it up) but omg, that is alot of money. many ppl there buying up big though...i guess i am getting closer to the eastern suburbs...arrghhhhhh! we soo reek of brunswick...AND I LOVE IT BWAH HA HA HA HA HA!! (yes, melbourne can be provincial lol)
now it is my turn for sore teeth. had the braces tightened yesterday and oh the agony. luckily friday ****tails are now an institution with the girls at work (and luckily i am a one pot screamer cause they cost a bomb!) so i dulled the pain with 2 ****tails...so nice to hit the town like that for special treats.
Happy Birthday Hannah!!!!
I can't believe our babies are turning two!
Clare, one of the tourist shops around here had half price baby clothes and I picked up a nice little top for my cousins new baby - but put it straight back down again when I realised that at half price it was still $60
Ange, snap - I drove 3 hours for shopping the other day, except I didn't get any bargains, didn't even get half of what I went for lol. I tried to repeat last weeks great shop when I got all my jobs done, but didn't factor in that with a toddler I have a max of 3 shops before it is all over.
MD, meant to say WTG on the child care refund. I am so happy for you.
Ginger, you NEED a pony! Do it now while they are little because ponies won't be cool when they get older.
Can you remember sitting at the computer two years ago reading about little Hannahs arrival, patting your big tummy waiting for your turn to arrive? Isn't it amazing that two whole years have gone by and now our little bubs have turned into little people! I can't believe I am sitting here waiting for a second baby to arrive lol, I so can't remember what newborns do.
Happy bday miss cutiepapootie!!!!
Happy Birthday Hannah!!!!
Pap- dr said he was severely dehydrated and looked undernourished, he had saggy dry skin, a weak cry, was hard to wake at times, failing to gain wait and not pooing in a week as well as only around 3 wet nappies a day, often with urates never wet enough to feel an actual change in the weight of the nappy.. Pretty horrible but nothing irreversable which im very greatful for!!
Everytime I go to post lately I have to leave it and attend to a child or a phone ARGH!
Noni, we know, and most importantly YOU know that you did the very best you could and in the end you made the only decision that you could under the circumstances. I know what it was like when I had no milk at all with Alister from the start - I could either keep flogging a dead horse and risk him getting sick from dehydration or grudgingly go back to formula.
All this talk about exxie clothes has me giggling - There was this shop from Wagga that came over to town for a few days to have a sale on all their winter gear and I got a 'woof by minihaha' shirt for Alister for SIL's wedding and a pair of 'jb for minihaha' navy trousers (size 3 can you believe it! not that they will fit him perfectly now but they aren't much bigger than his 2's) and even with 40% off it was still $75 - but I didn't tell DH that ;) At this rate her wedding will cost us more than it's costing her  DH still needs to get a new suit and I need shoes. The credit card is already in the death throes and then there is Canberra next weekend....
Had our first Little Athletics afternoon on Friday and OMG Alister was all over the place. Dh and I were timekeeping and he would keep wandering onto the track and then he wandered over to the highjump and stood in front of the bar and then walked in front of the discus area. It was just too stressful ROFL! He wasn't naughty at all but it was so hard to keep him near us. I think next time it will be the stroller and keep feeding him lollies. The kids had great fun though.
hi girls
happy birthday to the gorgeous little cutiepatootie hannah!!!
trill- ikwym about A being a nightmare at little aths. lewis always seems to 'loiter' in inappropriate places when i take him places LOL i'm so thrilled about you starting uni, you'll be great and if you need any help there's plenty of smarties in here to give you tips (me not included in the smarties category)! LOL
arte- newborns eat, poo, burp, sleep and cry....that's about it LOL and in jimmy's case, they look like hairy little animals with big eyes!
clare- those ****tails sound great! ease the toothy pain LOL
operation pony is not going too well....dh is more stubborn than a friggen mule about these things. sometimes he shiats me so bad!!!!
i think he feels bad though cos he just bought me some beautiful aesop shampoo, conditioner and handwash. he's just a tightA about living things as he doesn't like the 'ongoing maintenance costs'- his words, not mine...GRRRRR:wall::wall:
hope everyone's having a great sunday. jimmy has been waing constantly the last 3 nights. can't work out if it's associated with solids or teeth so i've decided to give him no solids today and see if it makes a difference.
hi girls!
GUESS WHAT?!!! i baked a cake and it came out P.E.R.F.E.C.T!!!! i know i know a cake, whoody woo but for me this is miraculous! it is the practice cake but now i am considering freezing it for the Big Event.
Arte: now you mention it the onesie i had picked up was a NZ merino....so nice..but oh the price.
Sherie: so i guess that with all the wandering mr A will be a cross country man LOL!
G: hmmm operation pony is harder than i thought...maybe get your friends to do the hard sell and get them to list weekly costs. that way you guys can get some idea.
AFM: well after all my baking exploits (even made patty cakes with icing and all!) i am tired so off for an arvo nap...
