Art- Good luck with the Vaccinatins today I am sure everything will be ok. Dont forget to give him some panadol 1/2 before he gets them. Oh I just love Williams photo he sure is a cutie.
Arte - Good luck today with Will's vaccinations.
Leemar - Yay for Olivia sleeping through to 5am! I found I had the same problem with Maddie stirring at around 2/3 and I too have been popping the dummy in. I think they must just wake and go ooh gosh i'm all alone and the dummy gives them comfort and they go back to sleep. Surely if they were hungry, they would not go back to sleep??
Gracie - If Maddie is having a bad night, DP goes into the spare room to sleep, that way he doesnt go to work feeling like a zombie. And I dont mind, my friends told me he should be up helping me, but i'd much rather he gets a good nights sleep so he can go and make some money!! :) Good luck with the boat, isnt it a pain when you really want something on ebay and someone keeps outbidding!
Ozstar - I want to move Maddie out into her own room soon as well. Her room is right next to ours, so she wont be too far away. Its scary though, i'm so used to having her right there next to me.
Aglinra - Go Natalie!!! :D I've also just bought two summer gro bags, they are on their way in the post. I got the farm animals and a new pattern, it has little flowers all over it.
Sherie - Sorry to hear about Alisters skin. I think someone mentioned bio oil earlier? That could work?
Noni - My dad told me he used to walk us around the block in the pram before bed time, he seems to think a good dose of fresh air puts babies to sleep! (and stops 'arsonic hour' as you put it haha!)
Everyone have a nice day, we have to venture out into the heat unfortunately to do food shopping, cant put it off any longer the cupboards are bare.
Arte, good luck on the needles
Sherie, sorry don’t know much about the treatment, but hoping it will clear up soon
Hayley, Maddie must be so cute in those grobags :) dont forget to take some pics
Hope this quest is not too soon, just wondering when are you guys planning to go back to work? And who will take care of your baby while you’re away?
I took 1 year mat leave but not quite sure when I’ll go back. Since I don’t have any family here, I think I need to rely on childcare …
Leanne & Renee, how are you coping with work & babies? I am really afraid I can't manage both
Agnes- For me I just had to get myself into a routine.
Agnes - I'm planning on going back to work after a year and will put K into childcare.
Hayley - K likes playing on her playgym and lying and kicking in her rocker. If she's not doing them, we read her stories or just walk around the house talking about things.
We missed mothers group this morning unfortunately. K woke for a feed at 2 and 5, then went through until 9, so I was too zonked to go into town, plus we had a clinic appt so would have only been able to stay for an hour.
Sherie - hope you get A's skin sorted, sorry don't have any ideas for what else you can do though.
DH always says he can help if K is unsettled late at night, but I'm really conscious of the fact that I can catch up on sleep during the next day while he is at work so don't like to ask.
hello all :)
just stopped for a quick rest coz i am busy busy busy!!! atm i feel like i am cleaning 24/7 but nothingsgetting clean!!! its really hard to do it all myself and look after Ash too n sometimes i feel like she dosnt get the attention she deserves because i am soo busy... washings piling up theres crap everywhere in the loungeroom and the bedroom despite me spending heaps of time cleaning and its really getting to me :( dp cantreally help me because he gets hme at 2am goes to sleep n when he gets up theres only a few hrs until he leaves... so i am cooking washing up, steralizing bottles, washing clothes, and trying m,y best to keep everything tidy but i just cant do it all and looking at the mess is really depressing... i feel sooo tired coz i am doing all the feeds myself too now... its like cooking and cleaning for a family of 3 but only being a family of two during the week n its just sooo hard.... how anyone with more than one child copes is beyond me
neway sorry for the vent..
Noni, you haven't told us what your favorite prezzie was!
Agnes, officially I have one year's leave (and intend to take all of it) however I believe there is an option to take further time as unpaid leave (and I'm currently having an internal debate over whether it's really better to go back to work or stay home a bit longer - few reasons involved). Will put E into FDC starting a half day or two after the 6 mth mark once she's on solids - will give me some study time or just time out. I've never had family to look after DD1 but FDC is the next best thing IMO.
Sherie - that eczema is tricky, if you're going to use a steroidal cream it needs to be a really really weak one - best to chat to dr first I think.
Well I'm bucking the trend and I expect DH to help if E's having an unsettled night, main reason is because he can function quite well on a lot less sleep than I can. I'm *dreading* his trips away as the night time gets up will be much harder without him there. So no spare room priveleges for him! LOL
ETA - whoops looks like i've just missed a heap of posts, will read back later - :hugs: Noni, we've all had those frustrating moments, i call it the "endless tide" where you clear the mess and somehow mysteriously the tide leaks back in and there it is again! xxx BTW one of the pros of going back to work after only a year mat leave!
lol spare room privledges dp dosnt wake up unless ur shouting at him and shaking him and even then it depends how much sleep hes had
the endless tide lol we live in such a small space its impossible to keep it clean coz theres not really space for everything so theres crap everywhere :(
fave present hmmmm well i got money which is always good.. Asha got me a silverchair shirt lol dp got me a cd and mem card for my phone as well as taking us to newtown festival where he let me do and buy whatever i wanted which was nice.. also got to choose some expensive sunnies while out shopping with my mum that she bought me... my dad paid the rego on my motorbike coz now i'm not preg i'll be able to ride it lol i could go on and on i was very spoilt!!!
Hi again - phew, glad S isn't the only spewy baby LOL! She got fitted for her hip brace yesterday - she has dislocatable hips, which means 6 weeks in a harness and LOTS of fun trying to change nappies around the b@stard - and in between that and my attempt to BF her from BOTH boobs we had a very interrupted night. Went back to the one-boob per feed today and that seems to suit her better. I can't help but worry that I'm not feeding her enough though, despite the wet nappies and the fact that she falls asleep on the boob each time, spews and then sleeps contentedly for 3-4 hrs. She really is lovely. Just wish I felt a bit more confident at times!
Re getting up - I've tried to train myself to do the Hour of the Wolf feed/burp/change/settle myself without waking DH, but last night we just didn't get there! He's been terrific but I imagine when he returns to work things are going to be more difficult for him. Unfortunately we are both sleepers, but I think he probably gets the medal!
sorry, have to go - the princess has just woken and discovered DH hasn't got boobies. xx
hi everyone! just been lurking today. been "chatting" with my sister in mnl in between tending to her highness' wishes....to be carried and walked around. :(
noni, know exactly what you mean...except for the fact that i haven't really done much to get the house cleaned. that was what set me off last sunday night on another melt down. but one thing a friend had told me was that we've gotta see past the mess and learn to just do the essentials. The rest has to take care of itself and that we shouldn't be afraid to ask for help.
after reading your posts, i was suddenly struck at how lucky i am with dp and how i've abused his niceness. (not saying that he's a saint...he's male...that says it all. :) ) i've been "working him like a horse" around the house. he's been doing the cooking and cleaning (c/s excuse) and giving max her bath. wakes up for feeds in the middle of the night (usually we alternate feeds, do one each, but he did all feeds last night....sore bbs) AND goes to work. feel so guilty. thanks ladies for the reality check.
sherie, sorry to hear that you're still having problems with what could be eczema. ditto on what MD says re: cortisone. think it's best to consult w/ dr.
noni, sounds like great bday prezzies.
been reading people's posts but brain's dead-ish. sorry for missing stuff.
oh, yeah, hayley, sorry, haven't noticed shakey leg with max. only the usual kicking movements. been meaning to answer you about that.
Haley, I have seen the shaky leg a few times with Will. He hasn't done it for a while but it happened quite often when he was brand new.
Well, W had his injections. It wasn't that bad for him, he only cried for a few seconds. It was rather traumatic for me, he was so happy smiling at the nurse and then he got jabbed. I felt really mean to take away his happy. I also had my pap smear. I wasn't expecting dinner and a movie, but a bit of lube might have been nice.
Arte I told my OB he should have offered me an epidural before doing the pap smear lol.
Fianne your DH sounds amazing.
Queenie it sounds like you are doing a great job with S. I know its hard to feel confident that your doing the right things but try not to worry to much. I have found you get more confident as you go, having all the lovely girls in here really helps too.
Noni. I try to just do the essiental (sp) cleaning each day and get the rest done when I can, usually on the weekend when DH spends some time with Logan.
Better go and give Magoo a feed and hit the hay I am buggered today.
Morning Ladies,
Cleaning- Well my house sure dosent look like it did when there was just 2 of us.lol. I use to stess about all the toys everywhere and that the house looks messy but really when I took a breath and looked at it it really was not that bad. I do washing at night time and chuck everything in the dryer.(I wash everyday) On saturdays I get the boys to help tidy up there toys, vacum and mop when the boys are sleeping. The boys help vacum as well they love it. Now on mondays I also tidy up during the day. Lets just say by the time all the kids are in bed I am exhausted. May be one day I will get a cleaning lady in. The one job I hardley never have time for is folding the washing and putting it all away.
Well O was a very good girl last night. Oh and yesterday my boys had there swimming lesson they have gone up into the next grade and swam with the instructor by themselves. Mummy was feeling a little sad as her babies are growing up to be big boys now. I bet I will cry when I send them off to school.. Oh I did cry the first day of daycare. lol.
Have a good day everyone.
Hey everyone.
I have been about and keeping up, but didn't post :)
All is well here, A is fine apart from his skin. The sudocrem is making a difference and keeping the skin a bit nicer. I have only been using it on his legs though and sorbolene everywhere else. Today when I go to town I am going to get a lactose free formula and see if that makes a difference - I would hate to think it could be as simple as changing formula and I didn't do it kwim? If his skin doesn't change then I know it's not an intolerance.
The past few days though he is drinking a lot more milk at each feed now and going down about 7.30-8pm at night, but I wake him and give him a dream feed at about 9 to get him through to 6.30am. Not sure if it is making any difference to him sleeping till then though.
Sherie - that is impressive sleeping. The dreamfeeds sound good, but if DD isn't fully awake she won't suck so I don't think I would have any luck there.
Leanne - folding washing is a very boring job isn't it - and it never goes away. When mum was down recently DH took DD for a walk and I was cleaning the toilets, Mum offered to do it, but I said cleaning toilets was actually fun compared to folding the washing which she was doing so I didn't mind doing it!!
She's awake - back later.
Cally- Yep I would rather clean the toilets than fold and put away the washing. lol.
Sherie- Xavier has slight excema(sorry for spelling) and I am using Dermaid 0.5% you can buy it over the counter at chemisits. I have also used it on jordy for a rash he had. Our pediatrician put me onto it. I must say that O have dry skin but at the moment I am using baby oil which seems to be working atm. I hope A skin gets better.
Have a wonderful day
hello everyone :hello:
back from ww wednesday lol i wasnt going to go because of my shocking eating this week but it turns out i still lost .4.. it is getting frustrating only losing .something every week but this week i was just happy not to gain.. so now i am up to 1.3kg so yay for that lol... must remember to keep going for walks in the avo because it certainly wasnt the cheesecake or chocolate biscuits that made me lose weight lol...
sleeping - well ash fed last night at 7:30 then again at 1am then dp topped her up at 2pm when he came home because Ash and i both fell asleep during the 1am and she slept through till 9... i worry shes not drinking enough because shes been a bit grumpy this morning but couldnt drink more than her biggest normal amount (160) because she gets refluxy :( was thinking abouty trying farrax in the mornings but i am not sure she is only 7wks and certainly not underweight i dnt want to end up with an overweight unhappy baby..
with the cleaning i get up and put washing on, if its wednesday or i need to go to the shops i walk up to the shops.. come back hang washing out, then i cook lunch and clean up after it then theres the general cleaning and maybe more washing (the washing seems endless) in the avo we go for a walk and then theres dinner and those dishes, bottles and steralizing, finishing up any tidying that needs doing, getting bottles ready for overnight.... it feels endless lol but its all stuff that has to be done i suppose i will get used to it eventually and learn to fit in more time for Asha and then last of all a bit of time for myself lol...
noni- Its funny really cause I use to think my life was busy before I had babies but then realised I was not busy at all. lol. Its always hard at first to find time for everything but eventually it all comes into place.
I think I am getting the flu. I had a sore throat last night and now my throat is on fire and my head hurts. I just feel blah. Logan was up twice last night and ended up sleeping with me which doesnt help. I am doing my best not to breath all over him and trying not to make him sick. Fingers crossed it doesnt last long, I hardly ever get sick.
Katie. sorry to hear about the flu. Hope you feel better & Logan wont catch it
William turns 2 months old today, cant believe how time flies ...
He can lift his head up while on his tummy and I heard something like a laugh this morning (i hope its a real laugh)
Have a good day everyone
hello everyone. Quiet in here today - means I can keep up LOL.
Katie, Fingers crossed it is just a head cold and it doesn't get worse for you.
Agnes, You think time flies now, it wont be long and these kids will be at school LMAO
Noni, A loss is still a loss, well done. I found the biggest adjustment was going from 0 to 1 child. All the others were easy as I already knew what the heck I was doing LOL.
Leanne, I use the dermaid sometimes too. I got some aqueous cream today though so I will see how that goes first. I have a Dr's appointment for him next Wednesday.
Cally, I don't mind cleaning the toilet either, I think it's because when you're done, it smells so nice and clean (for a little while anyway)
OK, so I went to the chemist and got some aqueous cream to put in his bath and a tin of S-26LF (lactose free) formula. I am really hoping that this will resolve the issue. I have an appointment with a new GP who specialises in child health/ob/gyn so he will be able to action something for me.
Katie - OooOO I hope you didnt catch it from me haha :) Okay bad joke! I hope you get over it reallt quick and your back to feeling yourself. Fingers crossed Logan doesnt catch anything. Like the ladies here told me, just wash your hands every time you pick him up.
Nonie - Way to go on the weight loss!!! whoohoo :) Yuo are doing really well. And a small loss is better than nothing.
Sherie - Mwahahaha found you on facebook ner ner :P) Im such a stalker haha. I hope Alister responds well to the lactose fee formula. Poor little darling. Is his skin making him upset??
Sorry for the quick catch up.
Things have been great here. I have just got over the flu although my sore throwt is still hanging around. I got my first pay yesterday and spent it all hahaha. Gawd I love having my own little spending money. For 2 days work it wasnt that bad at all! I bought $80 worth of bonds outfits haha (I LOVE bonds outfits!), a couple of tops for me and some Christmas decorations and gifts.
Rory is still his charming self. He is such a chatter-box now :) I called Dwayne up the other day and put Rory on the phone and he was cooing and girgling away to him haha.
Well better run. I need to hang out the washing and make dinner. My little darling is awake from his nap.
Do I get Rory's needles through the CHN or the Drs??
oh god Sorry Noni - A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!! xoxoxox Hope you had a lovely day.
Sherie - Wow Alisters sleeping is very impressive. I've been doing dream feeds as well at around 9/10 and it usually gets her through to 4/5. I'm happy with that. Hopefully the new formula works for you two.
Renee - You arent the only stalker, I added you on my facebook too! I love bonds clothing as well, its cute. How are you going with work? Does Rory let you have a decent sleep through the night so that you arent a zombie at work? Did Rory end up getting sick from you?
Katie - I'm sick too. Started with the sniffles and woke this morning with a sore throat. I'm so worried about passing it to Maddie, but i'm just washing my hands alot - they are so dry from all the washing!! Trying not to breathe on her either, but its hard, keep wanting to give her a kiss and then think no i cant! I dont get sick often either, but since Maddie has come along I've had two colds (the first was pretty mild) I put it down to not spending enough time on my own health. When I was pregnant I tried to be as healthy as poss, ate lotsa fruit/veges, took multi vitamins, drank loads of water...but now I hardly even have the time for my weetbix in the mornings!! Dont know if thats the same for you??
Leemar - I too thought my life was hectic before a baby, how wrong was I! I'm flat out now.
Noni - I know what you mean, everyone elses needs come before our own now. Its hard to find the time to clean, cook, look after baby and look after your own needs. As our babies get older, hopefully it will get easier? Oh gosh I feel like I am forever steralising and making up bottles too haha!
Fianne - Wow your DH sounds great!
Arte - I checked today with the doc about her shaky leg, and he confirmed it is just the nervous system still getting the hang of things, phew. Glad he got through his imunisations reasonably well. I think it is more traumatic for us mummies. I've booked ours for next wk, i think i'll have to work hard to stop myself from crying!
Had our mothers group today, but I rang and said we wont be there due to me being sick. Wouldnt want to make any other mums and their bubs sick. Bit sad about missing out. And then next wk i'll have to leave the mothers group early, as i'm taking Maddie for an ultrasound. The Doc wants her hips checked out, they are a bit clicky. Hope its nothing serious!
Work is great. Its great to only do one day. Although I have stuffed up a few times though. I forgot to put the alarm on the other day when I closed up the office OOPS! Rory is in a nice little routine now, he sleeps from 8:00/9:00pm through to 4:00/5:30am and then after his feed he goes back down to 8:00/8:30am. Nanna H had him the other day (for the 1st time) and she couldnt believe how settled he was, he didnt cry once. So I am very one relaxed mum....maybe a little too relaxed. I hope its not a bad thing haha.
Oh thats excellent, he's a good boy! I guess you've got more important things on your mind, hence the small stuff ups! You probably forgot the alarm because you were thinking about getting home to Rory! :)
hehe Renee, I don't mind you stalking me :) I have $50 in vouchers ($30 from my sister and $20 in MyerOne rewards) to spend at Myer and I am more than likely going to spend it all on Bonds stuff LOL - Myer has a great selection. I am also going to get some new Christmas decorations from there too, I love their Christmas cave. Plus I will take the kids to see santa there and scab another free teddy LMAO. For your sore throat, gargle some warm salty water to help kill the lurgies. Don't worry about being too relaxed, sometimes it's the best way to be ;)
Hayley, it does get easier as they get older. They become more predictable for a start. I have stopped sterilising bottles now, so that saves a bit of time. I hope the u/s shows nothing wrong with Maddie's hips.
You guys will get sick of me procrastinating over this, but after a bit of searching on google, I finally found some good information about lactose intolerance in babies and as such have decided not to use the formula as it doesn't cause eczema, so I don't want to give it to him if he doesn't need it. However, it could come in handy if he ever gets a gastro bug as they can get temporary lactose intolerance from the gastro bugs in the gut. I bathed him in the aqueous cream (you lather them in it and then wash it off in the bath) and then rubbed some on him afterwards and it seems to be keeping his skin soft so far.
I stopped sterilising for awhile there as well, and then a friend made me all paranoid about it. Also someone bought me an avent steriliser for my baby shower, so i figure I may as well use it. :)
I hope theres nothing wrong with her hips too. I've had a look on the net and in some cases they have to wear a horribly uncomfortable looking brace. We'll have to wait and see.
Poor Alister, at least it isnt lactose intolerance then.
I'm rocking Maddie to sleep in her bassinet with one hand and typing with the other - still worried that i'm setting up a bad habit with this rocking. Should I be trying to let her go to sleep on her own?
If you are happy to rock her, then rock her, but you could try and see if she will self settle by getting her comfortable (making sure she has no wind in her belly etc) and then just leaving her in a rocker chair if you have one or just in her bassinette and see if she will nod off. Quite often Alister will have little cat naps in his rocker through the day and I will put him on my bed or in his bed for a big sleep in the afternoon. I just lay him down, put his dummy in if he wants it and then walk out, sometimes he may grizzle (never cry) and I will put his dummy back in and settle him down again and then go out again. It will vary how long it takes for him to nod off depending on how tired he is. I find it is easier for him to go into a deep sleep now if I just leave him to it instead of rocking him.
Ok I'm going to give that a go Sherie, starting today! :)
Asha is in her bouncer atm kicking and waving her arms about staring at the toys hanging on it.. i cant believe how much she has grown and developed over the 7wks... she has started smiling more now too still not heaps but more often :)
we didn't have the best night last night.. Ash decided between 2:30 when she fed and 5am was a good time to be awake... i am sooo exhausted atleast she slept from 10 - 2:30 and then 5-10 but it really takes it out of you being up at that time iykwim... am supposed to be going up to the shops this morning amm so exhausted but i better go i suppose theres too much stuff we need...
sherie - the excema (sp) thing is complecated but many different things can cause it.. i knew a boy in childcare that couldnt have dairy because it triggered excema, he wasnt lactose intolerant as such because he wouldnt get a tummy ache but it would flare up the excema...
Noni, bummer about the bad night. I just can't sleep ATM so I am more tired than I should be too. That's interesting what you've said about the milk an eczema - certainly something to ask the Dr about when we see him. Thanks.
no worries sherie it could just be in his particular case, some sort of allergy or something but u never know i suppose... lol i was going to go to the shops but cant pry myself off the comp chair!!!
Hi all, been busy these last few days, trying to integrate back into "normal" life...going into work on Fri to show off E, went to this women's group yestrday (they do art & have guest speakers etc, pretty good actually) - and 1st mother's group today (thought of you Pregpan, how did yours go??).
Good until they got started on controlled crying (which even it's creator Christopher Green does not recommend until after 6 mths) and I felt compelled to pipe up - but it's perfectly ok to rock or pat your baby to sleep at this age!!! (If it works...) I agree with you Sherie about putting bubs down to self settle when they are calm & dozey - usually doesn't work at arsenic hour tho! LOL
Sherie, I hope you get a handle on A's eczema soon- H had it early on (small patch) and Dr gave us a weak steroidal (sigmacourt) and we just bathed her religiously in Hamilton's bath oil (never soap) and then I went to a dietician and introduced low-food-chemical solids once she was 6 mths. (which was a pain as it meant no baby food jars!!! just mum's gourmet cooking haha). She's been rashy every since, usually either heat rash or a contact allergy, but not ever eczema like that again. good luck!!
I was a bit overwhelmed there for a few days deciding what to do about E's runny bottom - should I stop the Zantac, etc? She's been so settled on it so I've notched the dose down a bit and that seems to be helping. It's a very strong medicine and the dr had calculated the dosage based on the top dosage so I've calculated it down to the lowest dosage. (Math's brain has returned LOL). Then I erhmed and aaaahed about whether she actually has a torticollis or not, since she was able to turn her head fully the other way. But now it's getting more noticeable so I'm going to have to track down a paed physio - apparently there is one thru the MCN clinic but she's about to go on hols for a month *sigh*.
Hey Queenie, good to see you back online again, BUMMER about the hip brace, sounds awful - big hugs as you're being very brave about it. She'll be out of it before you know it and crawling and walking like every one else!
Noni, hope A's reflux is improving, maybe have a chat to your dr about your fears about giving the meds? If you don't give her enough then it probably won't work. Maybe you could slowly build up the amount you are giving her until you see an improvement? I understand the infant Gaviscon is a very safe medication (which is why you can buy it off the shelf). BTW well done on your weight loss, I'm due back at the dietician next week and am terrified as I have been an eating machine this last fortnight - I'm sooooooo hungry all the time and it's not always healthy food either! :D You win some, you lose some!
 to everyone else! Gotta go as have just committed to making a quilt for the IL's caravan for Xmas - gotta go finalise those fabric purchases on ebay while E is still asleep.
Hey Marydean! It is such a crappy time of year to get anything *medical* done as everyone loses the urge to work in the lead up to Christmas, and then everyone takes nearly the entire month of January off work too. The bit at your group about controlled crying would have really bothered me too, it is something that really upsets me to read about when I hear of Mums putting their newborns into a Tizzie Hall "routine"
Marydean & Sherie - I keep hearing alot about getting your baby into a routine and I started to panic about it because I didnt have a routine for Maddie. I tried the controlled crying, but that was before I didnt know any better. Anyway I talked to DP about it and realised that we do have a little routine going...feed, play, sleep (during the day) and feed, sleep (at night). It doesnt always work out that way as she often stays awake longer during the day now and thats just fine. We try to follow the feed, play, sleep but go with the flow at the same time, if that makes sense? Is this what everyone else is doing or am I on the wrong track again? Being a new mum is darn hard work.
On the topic of weight loss, think I'm going to start putting on the way that I have been eating lately. I demolished a whole block of chocolate last night! How the hell do I stop my sugar cravings!?
Sherie, I took your advice about gargling warm salt water for a sore throat, I think it worked because its gone yay!
Hayley, your 'routine' sounds very much like our 'routine' - it's more of a pattern tho as I try to follow E's signals rather than watching the clock or anything like that.
Re the sugar cravings - have you tried eating a high-GI diet? Worked wonders for me.
Sherie - yep fun fun fun getting things done over Christmas, the whole of Canberra shuts down completely!
Thats it, a pattern! Oh good must be on the right track. I follow alot of what you and Sherie say, as you both have alot more experience than me.
I just rang toys r us because I am chasing the fisher price rainforest baby gym (it looks like fun) and apparently they are having a baby sale. S26 gold formula is $17 odd dollars too, if anyone is using this one.
whinge warning....
pattern...would love to have one!!!
sorry, really tired here. not a particularly stressful night but i guess i'm just quite mentally/emotionally tired from more than 12 hours one-on-one with max. i love her sooo much but she's also so high maintenance!! doesn't sleep the whole day if i'm not carrying her. as soon as i put her down, she'll wake in 5-10 mins. if i want her to have a sleep, i have to carry her all around. and with the weather going back to hot...it's a bit more difficult...for both.
phew! just needed to get that out. sorry, can't do personals.
Renee so your to blame for my being sick, thanks alot lol. I am feeling much better hopefully it isnt going to stick around for long.
Hayley I have a similar apttern to you. I just do what ever feels right lol. I also turn to MD and Sherie for all advise. I love Toys R Us they have the best bargins.
Fianne no need to apologise, we all completly understand. Being a mum sure is tiring. I think it takes a bit of time to get used to not having "me time" too.
MD sounds like you have been busy. Hopefully it doesnt take to long to correct/fix the torticollis.
Sherie I hope the Dr can give you some advise or cream for his skin.
Noni dont ya just love the smiles, Logan is laughing more and more each day it is adorable. Bummer about the lack of sleep. Logan did something very similar the other night only thankfully it was later in the morning (about 4am).
We have been out to lunch today. I thought Logan might be getting sick as he has been really quiet and lethargic so I bought a thermometer but he seems ok. He is having a snooze now so hopefully he was just tired.
Katie, is it getting really hot up there again? Maybe the heat is just getting to him and making him more tired - yesterday Alister was a bit like that at the end of the day because it was really hot here. Fingers crossed it isn't a bug.
Fianne hun, I have times like that too. Especially when DH has been working and the kids are particularly feral and I have no one to palm the kids off too while I get stuff done. Every few months or so I arrange a day out just for me so I can clear my head and get back into the right headspace to be a nice parent and not a cranky one.
Hayley, Aww, thanks hun :) I haven't seen that gym, but I might check it out as I need a new one for Alister, the one we have is missing some parts. If you sat down and wrote out exactly what you do with your day with Maddie, you will realise that 9 times out of 10 you are doing the same thing every day - call it a pattern or call it a routine - you just fall into it. It is so much better to have a baby-led routine because everyone tends to be happier. with your sugar cravings, I highly recommend you buy some In-Liven - sugar cravings are my biggest downfall too and while I am taking In-Liven I don't have them and I tend to eat better then.
Marydean, DH was meant to make his appointment with the knackery ;) but hasn't got round to it, but there will be no point now till after the new year.
