lp ash is quite tall too we have more trouble with long suits short ones are alrite.. i dnt know how tall she is now suppose we will find out when we go for her check up and needles.. dnt think she is that tall though wow lol... i find in the short jump suits (no legs at all not rompers) she can fit into dymples 0000 but no other brands shes grown out of her pp nb ones but most 000 look huge lol oh well shell grow into them
-
Marydean - Housewifes butt! That is hillarious!
Arte - I was told that if you have a detachable bassinet, to move the bassinet into the actual cot. Then after a few sleeps like that, remove the bassinet all together and just sleep bub in the cot. Apparently this helps get them used to the new surroundings.
Girls, I'm having a clothing crisis as well. Here I was thinking we were pretty set clothing wise for a few more months, but looks like i'll be heading down to the shops for some new summer clothes for Maddie real soon. And myself! I havent bought any new clothes in soooooo long, feeling very unfashionable these days.
Got an invite to a baby shower today. My SIL (not legally yet) is having a baby boy in Feb. Gosh I'm so excited, such a pity that she lives in Melb though. They are coming over to Perth in early Dec for a visit before bub arrives and for a baby shower. What is a good pressie do you think for a baby boy? I'll get some clothing etc but still racking my brain for a nice 'main' pressie.
I took Maddie for her ultrasound today and there is no signs of a clicky hip, thank goodness. Her hips just look a tad immature apparently, but he said its nothing to worry about just yet. The Doc said we should do another ultrasound at 3 months again to make sure they on track.
Ok this baby of mine is being spolit rotten!!!! MIL called today, she has bought us a brand new pram, steelcraft strider 3. Golly gosh I now have 2 prams and a stroller! Not for long though, MIL is taking my road train pram to her house and I'm taking the strider. Does anyone have this strider pram? I wonder if its any good?
Hope everyone had a nice day today. :)
-
wow 2 prams and a stroller lol were the others new too???
my best friend is having a baby boy in jan (she moved to melb just after ash was born) and i bought her a box and filled it with useful stuff it had - clothes, a money box, a thermometer, baby baths , powder and creams, a travel case pack of wipes to take places with her, a toy that hangs off the pram, wraps, a blanket, burping pads for spew catches lol, i just bought it all very boy designs it was fun lol buying in the blue section for a change... but she didn't have that much money or support around her so i went the more practical stuff, still really cute but still stuff she will need... theres alot of cute stuff out there, frames that you can get engraved, birth certificate tubes, money boxes that are shaped like little trains that you can engrave, time capsules, hand and foot print plasta sets, baby books (for recording firsts etc), picture books are always good too!!! i am sure u know about all these and are looking for something different but i thought id write it anyway lol lol i love baby shopping can you tell???
i have a steelcraft transaction i think its called i like the brand very sturdy...
well better log off now theres a bit of a storm..
-
Wow so much to catch up on today.
Hayley lucky you getting all these presents. I like the strider, havent used one but seen them about.
MD lmao at housewife butt, thats my new excuse now.
LP 65cm, sound slike she is going to be tall.
Pregpan glad you had a good time in Syd, lucky you going to Melb too, Noah will be a little jetsetter like Logan. We are off to Syd again next weekend.
Agnes I hope that William is ok now, its not uncommon for bubs to go off their food after needles.
Logan got weighed today, he has put on 350g this week and is up to 5.7kg. He is getting so big. He was laughing all afternoon it is so cute. I am trying to get it on video but he only does it when I am making sounds and I dont want that on video lol. We were out and about today, must ne tired as he conked out tonight in his cot without any fussing.
Think I might go and have a nice long shower (might even break the 4 min water restriction thing just this once lol).
-
Well, he is still not into milk, just now he woke up and cried but only drank for 2 min before falling asleep again. And it’s been 5 hours since the previous feed :( Really hope it’ll pass today as I will be taking him to see my friends at the office on Friday
Weather has cooled down a bit, which is great.
Hayley – what a day you had! Glad Maddie was not in the car. I think you can get refund or exchange it to other things you really need or probably even give it to your SIL LOL. Btw I have steelcraft strider 3 and really love it, we also got a free bassinet when we bought it. Havent used the grobag since he still cant sleep without being wrapped, but eagerly waiting for the day hehe
Does Maddie like the books?
Fianne – yay on the car trip!
Katie – nice to hear everything is okay with af, sometimes a quick trip to the dr gives us a little comfort doesn’t it. have been trying to get some photos of him smiling but no luck to this point, everytime i take out the camera he stops smiling and just looking at the camera
Renee – good to hear rory is better. btw, s&e mcmuffin is my favourite too!
Sherie – hope all goes well and hope the girls wont get it
LP – yay on the weekend sleep and lol at your monitor conversation thing
Leanne – hope you had a better night
MD – yay on the weight loss and lol at the second brekkie, have been having 2nd or 3rd ones lately since BF makes me starving all the time
LOL at housewife’s butt
Arte – hope you had better sleep
Noni – congrats on the weight loss
Pregpan – good to hear you had a good trip
Sorry to anyone I missed. Have a nice day everyone

Hi everyone!
Alisters needles went fine - got very cranky at the Dr and his first needle made him bleed a fair bit but a few big cuddles from Mum and he was OK again. I also got a referral to a Dermatologist for his eczema too and he was prescribed some steriodal creams. The Dr seriously doubts it is lactose intolerance as for 1 it is quite rare in kids and cows milk protein intolerance is more common and 2, it wouldn't be giving him the ezcema, he would be having bad tummy pain and nasty nappies. So I am happy with that. I made the appointment for the Dermatologist though and his soonest appointment was February 13 next year! I told the receptionist that Alister will be 5mths old by then, could I get anything sooner and she said the only thing she could do was put him on the cancellation waiting list. Don't you just love the rural health system?
Lindsay is back at school today too and no one else has any signs of it either thankfully.
Agnes, I would say that William is just having some mild reactions to the Rotarix vaccine. Alister was very sleepy and not feeding much yesterday either. he seems OK today though, but not got his full appetite back yet. And he has some very nasty nappies too as a result.
For anyone interested, I got the information sheet for the Rotarix vaccine and some of the most common side effects are;
loss of appetite
irritablity
fever
fatigue
diarrhoea (full hand washing protocol should be done after EVERY nappy change and before handling food)
vomiting
regurgitation of food
flatulence
abdominal pain
crying
disturbed sleep
sleepiness and constipation
Rare side effects are;
chest infection
hoarseness
runny nose
dermatitis
rash
muscle cramps
Someone mentioned baptism/christenings earlier. We haven't had the other kids done as I was never 'done'. Dh is but we feel that it would be hypocritical to have it done as we don't have the Church in our lives kwim?

Morning Everyone :D
holding bub and typing, sorry for any mistakes.
i put Scarlet to bed at 8pm last night, Dreamfeed at 1am and she woke me up at 3am crying but still asleep so i put her in bed with us and she slept till 8:30 - This is the first day that i don't feel sleepy in ages!
Noni ~ Listing all that cool stuff just made me want to do more baby shopping!
Scarlet got the tall genes from our families, DF is 6'4, MIL is 5'10 and my dad is 6'5... I can't believe how fast she's growing - All the 000 and some of the 0000 two peice outfits and dresses still fit her, It's just the jumpsuits with legs i'm having trouble with and she barely fits in her bath anymore lol.
Hayley ~ Yay ~ a baby shower, Now you have all experience to get great gifts!
I know what you mean about feeling unfashionable... i haven't bought new clothes since i was first PG & there's a limited amount of my pre preg clothes that fit now, I've been waiting till i get my body back but i'm starting to think i'll be waiting a while!
Sherie ~ wow, i can't believe your appointment is so long away, I hope you get in on a cancellation!
Starting Karicare gold this morning ~ i hope it doesn't upset her.
Hayley xx
-
oh crap i just wrote a huge post n lost it all!!!
might get some chrissy shopping done today n maybe her pic with santa if i can find anything cute that fits her properly lol might be waiting a few weeks lol...
Ash seems to have settled into a routine now sort of.. she has a night feed anywhere from 8 - 11 lol dp gets hme n feeds her round 3am then she wakes at 7 and comes to bed with us till about 10:30 when she feeds again its a bit of a funny pattern but i'm getting used to it now lol
lp -well done on the dream feed!!! gl on karicare gold.. weare using nan gold, gp told us golds are better because they have more vitamins n stuff, some ppl say they casue comstipation but we havnt found that...
sherie - thanks for the info i am so nervous about ashas needles coz apparantly i was really sick after mine :(
agnes - hope he gets better soon :) hopefully the cooler weather will help
katie - asha smiles alot now but as soon as the camera is out she always stops n i miss it lol
-
oopsies - i asked my mum to pick up the formula for me on the way over and she accidentally got the normal Karicare one, oh well it'll have to do for now - can't be any worse then the goats milk she's been on i guess!
-
Noni - Dont you hate it when you type something then lose it!! I'm the same with trying to catch smiles on camera, its so hard. Yep the prams were new, i've got steelcraft terrain which is so sturdy, good for walking, but a road train in the shops MIL bought us this one as well, mclaren stroller which mum bought me, its excellent and now this strider pram. I think our mums are just so exited about a new baby they love buying her stuff. Glad Asha is starting to get a little pattern happening, makes it so much easier doesnt it.
Hayley - Glad that the dreamfeed is working well for you. Last night I fed Maddie at 8 and she fell asleep around 9. I usually do the dreamfeed around 10/10.30 so last night I thought I'd do a little experiment and wont wake her, lets see how long she goes. Well wont be doing that again...she woke at 2am and it was a real shock to the system! To top it off I had one of those awful nights where you lie there thinking about random things and therefore cant sleep, went to bed at 10.30, still awake at 1am!!! So I'm buggered today. Good luck with the Karicare!
Sherie - Glad the needles are all over and done with, for now. Oh I hate making appointments! My Doc always seems to be full and I cant get an appt for a couple of wks. Once I was so angry (I was pregnant and stressing, hadnt felt bub move etc etc) I gave the poor receptionist an earful, so not like me at all, but I was just so frustrated because it was a bit of an emergency in my mind. What are you meant to do when its urgent!? That was me that mentioned the christening and I'm feeling the same way, i'm not religious (Tim is catholic), we dont go to church, wouldnt it be selfish of us to christen her just to get her into a good school? Thats doing it for the wrong reasons really isnt it. Ohhh dont know what to do, DP is keen on doing it now - he is a catholic school boy and wants the same for Maddie.
Agnes - Sounds like these are common symtoms after the needles? Maybe if he i still the same tomorrow, check with the Doc. I'll keep this in mind, we have ours next wk. I'm a bit excited about this strider, its pretty funky looking as well isnt it?
Katie - I cant wait for the laughing! I'm hoping Maddie will be a real giggly baby, like I was (and still am!!!!). Isnt it great having a video camera. I wish my parents had one when us girls were babies, it is so interesting to look back on. One day you can show Logan, "Look how small and adorable you were....what happened!" Hehe just kidding. :) I'm sure he will always be adorable in your eyes, even when he's a naughty boy! & gosh he is getting a big boy isnt he, nice and healthy.
I'm watching Maddie on her play gym, she is so fascinated with looking at herself in the mirror! Gonna go play with her...bye 4 now!
-
lp, max was on karicare gold + but dp accidentally bought just gold (w/o the +) and we find that it's less "bubbly" and i don't know if that's why she spews a little less now. and definitely no constipation. minimum of 2 a day for the little one.
such a shame! max had last bottle at about 8pm so i expected to get up at midnight for the next feed. woke up at 1 and she was still happilly sleeping! problem was, i was sick! must've got some bug yesterday, and i am feverish w/ achy bones and nothing inside me! made dp stay home this morning but he had to go meet someone who was flying out today. am feeling better tho. anyway, max didn't wake until 2 or 3 for feed and i missed my chance for a longer block of sleep.
smiles....same problem. she's so free w/ them until the camera comes out & her fascination w/ the camera distracts her from smiling.
HEARD MY FIRST CHUCKLE TODAY!!! she was asleep in my arms and next thing i knew she was chuckling!!! did it 2x! it was so cute! brouoght tears to my eyes. and she's now appreciating her mobiles. talks to them.
sherie, thanks for the side effects list.
hope everyone's had a better momrning. :)
-
hello everyone!!
very tired today. just skimmed over everyone's posts- it's been very busy in here hasn't it??
well i got a new fisher price rainforest cradle swing and i have to say it has been the second best baby investment ever (1st best is hab!). lewis loves it and it has bought me about an extra 2 hours of free time a day. i can actually have a shower and make some toast. yah!!!
unfortunately i broke my toe so i'm in a bit of pain atm. dp had ds in the shower and was calling out to me to come and get him. i was in a rush and wacked my toe on the side of a door really hard. it absolutely killed, so i'm back on the panadeine again!
sorry for selfish post, will catch up on personals later. hope everyone is well and enjoying the cool change (in melb!) xox
-
hey there just a quick one from me too typings not so easy atm...
was making dp lunch today and had so many things on my mind doing a million things at once and a picked up a pan that had been in the oven gee it kills i have to somehow figure out how to wash up coz i have these dressing things on my fingers ughhh...
got Ashas pic taken with santa its v cute :)
-
Gah! Just typed a post and lost it!!
Weary here today, started Chrissy shopping after new mum's group. Does anyone have a Lamaze Spin & Explore Garden Gym? Saw one today and it looks COOL, just wondering how much use E will get out of it if she's already 3.5 mths old when Santa brings it? Any thoughts?
Dh's back (yay!) but threat of sudden trip away is looming again (boo)! Hoping it doesn't interfere with our w/end trip...
Sherie if it's any consolation, that's how long it took to get H into a dermatologist here in the nation's capital. Even scarier, it was the same to see a cardiologist (!!).
Noni, we're having a lil clothing crisis too, E's growing out of her 000 onesies (the pants all still fit her, it's the length of her body that's long).
Pregpan & Cally, it's the baby & kids market again this weekend, if you're interested. I might see you there if DH gets sent away (it'd be my consolation prize for not going up to the 'gong, I guess)!
ETA - Gracie and Noni, I just read your injury posts (not sure how I missed them before??) TAKE CARE ladies! Gracie I have been there with the domestic broken toe several times and I feel for you hun!
-
Gracie - Ouch sounds painful! Its bad enough when you stub your toe, let alone break it! The cradle swing looks excellent, I've seen it in Toys R Us. I live in Toys R Us these days...
Noni - Oh no you as well! Everyone is in the wars today. Hope it heals quickly for you. Can you post Asha's santa pic?
Marydean - Is that the gym where you put the baby on a spinny thing on their tummy? If so, it does look cool.
-
md- i can't believe you've had a broken toe too! it kills doesn't it? i thought i was the only fool that could get a broken toe without even leaving my house! lol
noni- ouch!!hope your burns aren't too bad. sounds horrible
hayley- you love toys r us!!wish the one nearest to us was a bit closer, i'd be there all the time. has maddie's nursery got a 'theme' to it??
-
Hi everyone
i have read all posts, and did personals in my head, but they probably won't make it into type lol.
Hayley - Jess and Zoe have been baptised and Hannah will be too - but Dh and I are both Catholic (not exactly practicing though) I guess the thing to think about is that it isn't really going to hurt anyone if you do get Maddie baptised. re - the price - it is normally just a donation, so something that you would discuss with the priest. ( i don't think we even paid for the girls baptisms. woopsie!!!)
Sherie - i'm glad that Lindsay is much better and that Alister's needles went ok.
Well - i went shopping today with the girls (to see Santa and get some freebie toys lol) and while i was putting the girls in the car, (in underground carpark) this guy rode up on his bike - and stopped a few metres away from the car. (thought it was strange because there was no reason for him to be there) i caught something out of the corner of my eye when i looked over - and guess what - he had his leg up with his penis hanging out of his shorts. I quickly got in the car and locked it - and he adjusted himself and rode off. I was sooooo angry!! felt a little violated. Drove around the car park looking for security - but there was no-one around. Will go to the police beat tomorrow and let them know. There sure are some weirdos in this world. Filthy b@$tard!!
anyway - i hope all your lovely little cuties have wonderful sleeps for you tonight. - better go and spend some quality time with Dh.
-
Yep, Gracie - twice! I have sneaky walls and doors :cryinglaugh:
That's the one Hayley! You've reminded me to check the Toys r us catalogue online...still seeking Christmas inspiration here!
ETA OMG Jazmum, it's not even december yet and the freaks are out already! They say the best thing to do is laugh at them...
BTW, it's E's vaccinations tomorrow. *sigh* Hate doing it really. Poor lil innocent creature about to be stuck with needles...:(
-
Hey everyone ~
We had a late night last night, BIL (who is only 12) showed up here on his push bike bawling his eyes out and saying he wanted to live here because his mum was a liar - he rode 100km's in the pitch dark and wouldn't tell us what had happened, he just kept saying "you'll hate me and if i talk about i'll cry and you guys will cry.".. He had us so worried...
anyway we got it out of him and it turns out his dad told him that he and DF were only half brothers and his mum confirmed it.
He's always known that they have different dad's, It just never occured to him that that meant they were half brothers and he thought when DF found out he wouldn't like him anymore - of course DF has always known and everyone just assumed that BIL knew too - DF had to sit with him for hours and reassure him that it didn't make a difference...
We were so relieved that nothing was seriously wrong and trying our hardest not to laugh.
He's such an emotional kid - He's coming to live with is for 3 months in Jan, I don't know how we'll go.
Karicare seems to be going okay - I guess it's a bit early to tell though.
Gracie ~ I hope your toe isn't holding you back too much - ouch - I'm getting one of the fisher price swings for Scarlet tomorrow, She seems to be getting bored of her play mats.
Noni ~ Did you find a good santa for Asha's pic? All the santas i've seen have been pretty shabby looking *lol* I'm going to try myer tomorrow, Hopefully there's is sober!
JazMum ~ I hope you go to police beat, What a F$@#ing Pervert!
MD ~ the toys r us catalogue is pretty good, had a peek the other day - I'm buying Scarlet a huge load of all the most bright and colourful toys i can find, I'm going to wrap them all seperately and stuff them under the tree just because we've never had a family tree before and i want it to look cool *lol* getting her a fisher price swing too but i don't think i'll be able to resist using it before chrissie. Good luck with E's vaccinations - It feels terrible doesn't it :(
~ Hayley xx
-
LP I was really alarmed when I read about your BIL turning up sobbing on his bike...sooooo pleased it's all ok. Good lesson in the way kids think, and how we need to support our kids as they grow up by helping them to think through what stuff means...KWIM? I'm at that stage with DD1, you can't necessarily assume she's made the same mental leap as you when we're talking. Gotta backtrack sometimes and explain stuff. Anyway sooo glad it's ok now.
-
jazmum- that is so scarey! what a weirdo freak. i don't understand some people!
md- i banged my broken toe on lewis' new fisher price swing last night and fell on the ground crying. dp had to run and grab lewis out of my arms. it killed so i just went and lay in bed cuddling lewis reading pinky mckay to make myself feel better. it hurts really bad today. think i may have to go to dr soon!
lp- scarlet will love the fisher price swing. are you going to get the rainforest one? it's got a really cute toucan bird hanging from it. i love it. glad to her df's bro is doing ok. can't believe he rode 100kms! poor little man
heading to my dad's house today for lunch as it is the first anniversary of my mum's death. some of her close friends are coming over and for most of them it's the first time they'll get to meet lewis. it's very sad cos mum never got to meet him, and died without even knowing we were pg. i'm going to dress him up in something special for the day so he looks extra beautiful.
-
md, good luck w/ E's shots.
jazmum, w/c mall? scary. scarier i guess since we've got girls. *sigh
all ok here. hope evreyone has a good day.
-
Gracie, I hope you have a lovely lunch today hun - I'm sure your Mum's friends will dote on Lewis as much as she would have done. Take care :)
-
hello everyone...
christmas shopping was farely successful considering it was the first shopping ive done lol wandering the shops blindly trying to think of who i need to buy for awful lol and the shops are just getting more and more packed!!!
gracie - hope your toe is going alright.. probably a good idea to go to the doc if not just to get some pain killers... :hugs: for today...
lp - yes we did find a good santa lol its kinda surprising since it was just blacktown westpoint lol... not a job id want it would be so hot in that suit despite air con!! glad your bil is ok now poor thing..
md - Ashas vaccinations tmw i am dreading them!!! havnt seen the gym your talking about Asha is getting a fisher price rainforest deluxe whatever its called lol it has a long name and i never get it right...
jazmum - geez what a weirdo def report it to the police.. really makes u think you cant be too careful when ur out can you.. when i went yesterday to get Ashas pic taken i just sort of left the pram and went to talk to the lady and she told me to bring the pram inside the santa fence thing they had because she knew someone that had christmas presents (expensive jewellery) and her wallet stolen out of the pram when she wasnt looking.. ppl are so low..
haley - i will try and post the santa pic but our scanner is not very good.. i'll see how i go n let you know...
ETA - the santa pic is in my gallery
-
Morning everyone,
Gracie its hurts enough when I just stub my toe I cant imagine how much it hurts when it is broken. I hope you have a beautiful lunch today, I am sure your mum is looking down and watching out for Lewis.
MD good luck with E's needles.
LP I cant beleive your BIL rode 100km, thats insane. Glad ot hear he is ok now.
Jazmum that is disgusting, what is wrong with some people.
Noni well done on the Christmas shopping and finding a good Santa. We went to get Logans Santa photos last weekend, but I didnt like Santa and I could see the pics on the computer (someone elses child) and didnt like them.
I am off to get my hair done tomorrow, I have a wedding to go to next weekend and my hair looks terrible. I really wanted to wait until closer to Christmas before getting it done, oh well I will just have to go again before Christmas ;)
-
Back again everyone. E's needles were awful, she turned bright red and howled more than she ever has since she was born - on the first needle. It really hurt her and the nurse said the first one doesn't usually upset them quite as much as that. :( Poor baby, lots of cuddles from mummy and daddy today, I think.
Gracie, I'm sure your mum knows all about Lewis and is with your little family all the time. xxx Hope today goes well & I'm sure having Lewis there will be a huge comfort to your dad and your mum's friends too.
Ps I can't believe you haven't been to the dr with your broken toe!!!! Get it looked at hun, it might need to be popped back into place if you keep kicking it into things!
Fianne, yes i agree especially scary with girls, but bad men do bad things to boys as well. I was on a youth camp once and a young guy told me he'd been sexually assaulted on his way home from school (he was 14 at the time) and 2 years had passed and he'd never told a soul (I was the first person he confided in). I *never* let any children in my care out of my sight in public places (that includes not letting them go to the toilet alone). Even my nephew who was like 13 or something had to wait until DH had recce'd the men's dunny when we were out!
Noni, well done with your Christmas shopping, I'll be braving the crowds to get a couple of things today too. I've finally got a few ideas starting to pop into my head...
-
Gracie ~ I hope you have a lovely lunch - I'm sure your mum's friends are going to love meeting Lewis. :)
Noni ~ That santa photo is SO CUTE! love the outfit you have Ash in, Glad your shopping trip went well - Starting to think going xmas shopping tomorrow isn't a good idea, Being a saturday and all.
MD ~ How old is your DD#1? Have a feeling i'll be in need of some pre-teen advice over the coming months - He's very different to how i remember i was at his age and he can sure be a handful!
-
Jazmum - That is absolutely disgusting!! What a freak. Wouldnt want to do that to me I'd attack it with my hand bag hehe (probably not the best idea but just makes me so angry)!!! Dirty, dirty man.
Hayley - Oh the poor thing, you just want to laugh dont you. Cant believe he rode so far though! Pretty dangerous, especially with freaks like the above on the loose. Bet mum wasnt too pleased with him! Did you get the FP swing? It looks great, Scarlet will love it. Wish I could get it for Maddie, but have to think about the freaking mortgage!! I wouldnt be able to wait till chrissy either to open it!
Gracie - Enjoy your lunch. Your mum would be very very proud I'm sure. Get your toe checked out!
Noni - The Santa photo is so cute!! Must get one done, I have a million and one things to do before christmas, but this has to top the list.
Marydean - Oh no poor Elisabeth. Its horrible watching them have needles isnt it? Maddie had HEAPS in hospital, they thought she had an infection so they were taking blood all over the joint. I'm kinda hoping having already had so many needles, her immunisations will be a bit easier, I doubt it though.
Katie - Oh you lucky thing! Still havent had my hair done....it hasnt been cut since August whoops!
Its so hot here today 36 deg. My cat has escaped outside (keep him indoors on hot days) and I can hear him having a stand-off with the neightbours cat! Great they will be at it all day.
Hope you all have a lovely day!!
-
Noni - The dress in Asha's santa pic, is that from PP? Its gorgeous.
-
LP, My DD is 9 going on smart-mouthed-13 LOL! Not sure I'm the best person for advice, am still learning (the hardway I think when you're the parent). At least as SIL you get a different relationship, less about needing to have that authority (like you do when you're the parent), it's more of an equal relationship, that's what I found with my nephews anyway.
-
Maddie has been soooo sleepy all morning, she usually wakes at 8.00am but this morning was still sound asleep at 10am. I got her up and fed her (she hardly opened her eyes) changed her nappy, (which usually wakes her up) put her back to bed and she's still asleep! Very unusual of her, should I be worried, or could it be the heat or a growth spurt? Wanted to go get a santa pic done, but I think she'll be asleep on his lap!
-
haley - wouldnt wory about the sleepyness unless she has a fever or isnt feeding well.. the pic would still be cute if she was asleep!!! and yep the dress is pp lol my mum bought it when we were out shopping together its the first time shes been big enough to wear it, though it should fit her for a while its still a little big..
-
morning all, sorry selfish post, this sleep deprivation is really starting to take its toll. Somebody tell me it gets better! really dont know how much more of this i can take. that and missy's powerchucks, one of which ended up inside my bra and the othr on our doona! i dont know if she is drinking too much & it is overflow, but the amount and force is quite scary. Plus i think she might have a bladder infection as she screams before she pees...
sorry i can't remember everythin g everyone's been up tgo, but i can tell you i was on yasmin for a few years before TTC and found it fine: no weight gain issues and also (thankfully) did not trigger depression for me either. I also got it for $48-56 or so for 3 months from Chemist Warehouse, so investigate cheaper suppliers if you can. The other one I found was really good was Levlen (which I think is the generic version of Brevinor 1 but can't remember). I have tried all and sundry and had to stop many as I found them contributing to depression.
ugh, one hour after starting this post I'm finally finishing it!!
xx to everyone - hope you're all well and that your little bundles are happy and healthy.
-
Queenie it really does get easier. Have you had her checked for reflux? Maybe it is worth a trip to the Dr to check the bladder infection and powerchucks.
Hayley I agree with Noni if she doesnt have a fever then she is probably ok. It is probably the heat making her sleepy, its so hard not to worryt hough isnt it.
Noni Asha looks adorable in the Santa pic. I cant wait to have Logans done.
MD poor E, needles are horrible. I was just saying to DH that before I know it I will be taking Logan for round two (4 month needles).
I requested my progress notes from my labour last week and they arrived today. They arent as intersting as I had hoped lol. I really just wanted to see what times the things I remembered happened, like how long I lasted before requesting the gas etc.

Hi everyone - thought I better post before this thread closes off!
We had a lovely week in Canberra and K was doted on by all the family. She was very well behaved, just one night that she was really fussy and had trouble sleeping, but we found a big booger up her nose the next morning so that might have had something to do with it. She slept for 9 hours straight the night we got back!
Got almost all of the Chrissie presents done too which is great.
We have needles next Monday. Not looking forward to it.
Jazmum - what a weirdo, I hope the girls didn't see anything.
Gracie - hope you had a lovely lunch and that toes heals quickly.
MD - thanks for the advice on the markets.
Had a small meltdown yesterday afternoon. DD had been on a 3 hour or less schedule all day so I hadn't had a nap and I could not get her to sleep in the afternoon. Couldn't go for a walk because it was raining. Had to call DH and say come home now - he found us in the wardrobe, hiding in the dark. But it worked, she had settled and was starting to finally fall asleep. He took her and I went for a drive and went and read the paper overlooking the ocean. Nice to get out of the house, but just having him home to assist made a big difference.
Have a lovely weekend everyone - no cricket tomorrow and uni is finished so DH will be able to have lots of play time this weekend which will be good.
