Leckert - Wade is very strong, sitting up. Emily is starting too but gets a bit wobbly. She is back to up twice a night at the moment so hoping it doesn't last long.
Hi Emmajayt - lily sounds like Emily with her drool, she is clever with her rolling over, I really need to get Em more tummy time but she vomits each time I do it, even if her feed was over an hour before. I have a cat napper too.
We are still battling cradle cap, the pharmacist said to give it another fortnight and if still happening he will make up some acid mix to get rid of it!!! Have any of you heard of or done this before?
with the tummy time, I remember being told or reading somewhere with DS1 that leaning on you tummy to chest is the same as tummy time on the floor. Cradle cap seems to be coming and going here and looks like we're got a bit behind the ears at the bottom right in the crease. trying sigmacort in the there at the moment and it seems to be helping clear it up (DS1 also has the same problem with his ears except his is behind the whole ear).
I'm still in shock that Wade doesn't need more than 1 wake up overnight and sometimes not even that - not used to that (last night was 9pm by the time he stayed down and only woke at 5:40am) thankfully it doesn't seem to be causing a problem with my milk supply.
emmjayt - Lily is clever rolling from tummy to back. Ellie is so close she is going from tummy to side then i help her over and she smiles as if she did it lol so cute
Leckert - Ellie is doing the same sitting up when facing out on me. She has always been a strong little thing. Glad Wade is sleeping well, I'm still amazed at how well Ellie sleeps during the night. On the other hand she only cat naps during the day, hard to get stuff done. Today though she did sleep for 2 hours so happy with that.
Crowe - how is Emily's cradle cap? Did you end up doing the acid wash?
Hey Becky - Em's cradle cap is going good, almost gone gee it has taken some moving though. Didn't end up doing the acid as I am a bit wary of it. Em is catnapping all day too, it's bloody impossible to get anything done, little darlings aren't they???
Otherwise all ok here, Em isn't looking like rolling yet. Hope your all well and getting some sleep.
Glad that Emily's cradle cap is getting better. So funny as soon as I get her to sleep during the day, I run around like a nutter trying to get everything done as I know I only have a short time before she wakes again! Atleast they are sleeping well at night.
Hi guys, hope your all well and getting some rest. It seems my little monkey Emily has given up on the sleeping business. The dr thinks she has silent reflux and she is on Zantac three times a day (which she screams blue murder when having). I am also giving her AR formula at night now because I am buggered and can't feed her anymore, she was having 9+ feeds a day. We have her cot raised, sit her up after a feed etc. any ideas on how to get her to sleep better?
Oh Crowe, poor Emily and poor you. My nephew had it and my SIL found that he wouldn't sleep or eat during the day but would do both at night. How long has she been on the Zantac for? One of the girls in my MG has it, and the paed got her started on rice cereal early and she's much more settled.
I guess that's something to look forward to. I decided today I'm not breastfeeding anymore because I'm exhausted from lack of sleep. I also didn't stop bleeding until Emily was 10 weeks old and still bleed for 2-4 days every 10 days. To be honest I am finding it really tough at the moment but we will get through it.
We also found out on thurs that FIL has terminal cancer and there is nothing more they can do. There my rant / vent is over, feel better now lol.
Hugs all round sounds like some of us are having a bad trot. And I'm going to add to that list - bad case of tonsillitis and had high thyroid levels come back from blood tests (I have no idea what I'm supposed to do next about that except to get retested in 3-4 weeks; started another thread about it).
On a more positive note Wade's worked out how to roll from front to back in the past couple of days
Well done Wade. Clever boy Lily's big thing at the moment is to lift her legs and bottom up when I'm changing her nappy, and now she's bringing her head and shoulders up too. Then kick like a crazy person when I'm trying to do her nappy up. All with a massive grin on her face.
Crowe, I'm sorry to hear about your FIL. You've given Em a great start with the BF'ing and it sounds like it is time now for you to take care of yourself.
Leckert, you poor thing. Hope you are feeling better soon and get some answers.
Thanks for the kind words. Em slept from 9pm to 5 am this morning so things are looking up today. I'm very engorged though, Atleast I can take nurofen now.
What clever little bubba's you have, rolling etc. Em wants to sit up or stand up all the time!
Sorry to hear about your tonsils Leckert, hope it clears quickly. I don't know anything about thyroid sorry.
Hi ladies! Haven't been on here for a while and saw lots of posts and got excited Well Ellie is sick at the moment and last night was terrible, she had such a stuffy nose that she woke every 30 mins from 11:30pm and has hardly slept all day and I am absolutely buggered. Fingers crossed tonight is a bit better. It's my birthday tomorrow so hoping I have enough energy to celebrate somehow.
Crowe - So sorry to hear about your FIL, such a terrible thing and poor little Emily with her reflux, I hope she is still sleeping ok after those few bad nights you had.
emmjayt - Lily sounds very cute and cheeky with her nappy changing time. Ellie loves her change table seems like everytime I put her on there she gets this instant smile on her face.
leckert - Good boy Wade with your rolling over from tummy to back, Ellie is nearly there, just rolling from tummy to side Hope you are feeling better!
Happy birthday Becky. I hope Ellie is better and you both got some sleep last night.
I know exactly what you mean about the change table - whenever Lily is stroppy I can put her down there and we have smiles within a couple of minutes.
Lily has completed wrapping DH around her little finger. I was burping her last night when he came and sat with us for a chat. I jokingly asked her "where's Daddy?" and she turned to him and gave him a massive grin. She did it about 4 times so he is thrilled. Asked "where's Mummy?" and got nothing
