Beatrix - My BD1 was mostly formula fed. You should do what you need to do. Everyone has an opinion on 'what's best' but you're her Mum and you know what's bet in your situation. I hope everything goes well and you come and visit here again soon.
Willow - a couple of days ago I read that what you eat today will be in your breast milk tomorrow. I don't know how accurate that information is. I read it in a parenting magazine.

willow- I think it depends on what it is.... liquids are quicker than solids.... so it takes longer for food to effect your milk, than drinks...

omg!!! DS3 was a crap sleeper, wouldn't be put down, fed every hour or two for months and months, wouldn't settle for anyone except me it was hard HARD work. Georgia is much the same, although she will at least settle for others most of the time, but, I could always put DS3 in the ergo to get things done, Georgia, no go, wtf?! She wants to be held but not in the ergo. So that means nothing is getting done. I know I should let stuff go but you have to get things clean at some point
Today I am so tired and frustrated I want to cry. I'm going to check the WW book and hope this is the start of another WW and it will be over soon
Willow- OH NO......! How frustrating, if you could at least wear her and have your arms free then SOMETHING gets done....I am having flash backs of DD1 and putting her on the floor in the toilet so I could actually have a pee!!! I couldn't cook or anything.... really difficult!!
I don't even know what to suggest....I'm sure you have tried everything! In the end we had a swing/mobile thing for DD1 and lots of dummies, and that seemed to work enough so I could get 20min or so to DO something!!....
When do they start "working the system" as my DH puts it??...is it 2 months or 3 months?
Yep Harri that sounds like her! DS3 was the same but the ergo worked a treat.
I've just checked the book and we are just coming into the second Wonder Week so that explains her being extra clingy and demanding. Beatrix(if you hapen to be reading) that would explain Zoe as well. It says demanding babies will be even more so and drive us to despair. It also said they want to be close to mum but really clingy babies can't get close enough which is probably why the ergo wouldn't cut it today either.

We have four or five types of dummies she won't have any of them, and it's not for lack of trying let me tell you! haha We have a my little lamb swing which was a life saver with DS but I need to get it back from my sister, they've had a run of illness so we haven't seen them for a while. I'm hoping she'll like it too, I could get a couple of hours of DS sleeping in it some days
Just was a bad night and moment. Way to much happening. DH was home today (preparing for funeral tomorrow) so we ventured out to the shop and Zoe was great all day. Sleeping and eating fine. Only whinging when tired or hungry. She didn't have muck wake time though today.
Will see how tonight is and yep I saw the other day it was a wonder week.
willow- Georgia sounds like she loves her mummy in a frustrating way lol.
My main issue is I don't get why it's so hard? I mean I should know this. I have done it all before.
Oh and I didn't end up buying formula. It's not something I want to do and her feedin isn't the issue. It's her sleeping but with breast feeding and her having to be held asleep I felt like I was suffocating so I was just over it and I felt if I put her on the bottle I woul at least have a break there
Bea, its so hard trying to deal with an unsettled baby along with everything else that happens in life, let alone losing your BIL as well. I think your doing a great job coping and want you to remember that your human and your allowed to have bad days! I wish I was closer so I could atleast come and give you some company or an extra set of arms to help settle missy moo.
Well Wilder had his first chiro appointment today and wow - Im a convert! I also loved that the chiro was happy I had him sleeping in a hammock, he highly recommends them and used them for his kids. Always nice to have a medical professional endorse something you do that isnt "mainstream".
Also did some checks today as well seeing as he is 8 weeks old on Tuesday - current weight is 4415g, 57 cm long and 38cm HC. Thats a 415g gain since his weight check last thursday thought he was looking a bit chubby lol

Well the clingy business could explain Eleni this week too.... being much more so than normal and not sleeping all that much the last couple of days during the day!! A bit of a change to what I was used too!!!
Although we are having good night sleeps.. last night it was 10pm-4am, then 4:30am-8:30am! And I think she only really woke at 4:30am for a huge poo and a quick drink!.....

Harri this wonder week stormy period runs (give or take) from 7 1/2 weeks to 9 1/2 weeks. The next one after this one is 11 1/2 to 12 1/2
We have another cold here, both DS and Georgia I'm wondering if it's the same one come back for round two or a fresh one. Either way I'm not happy about it, especially in conjunction with the WW, and my back is now spasming from 2 nights of having to sleep half sitting up and obviously at a weird angle to keep Georgia happy. She was finally happy to sleep in the ergo yesterday, but that was a mistake for me I put her in it and made some little pizzas with DS and could hardly move after. I need to get to my chiro!! Feels like I can't win at the moment.

Willow- Doesn't give you much time between WW!! AND that means another week of this behaviour!... Much more clingy here the last few days, and not sleeping so well at night either... she's up every 2hrs or so last 2 nights, thinking she just wants a feed, but she's only feeding for about 5min (even though she's sucking pretty hard) and then she's in her bed again... But it a little grizzly in between!.... not sure what's going on there... maybe growing pains..maybe WW!... maybe she's starting to "work it" during the day... she's not sleeping too much now... she's in her bed crying.... then I go in...distract her and she's quiet for a while.... then she cracks it again..... strange....
I have put DD1s night time music on and that seems to settle her a bit.... until she realises I'm trying to put her to sleep?!.... hmmmmm

Visited the MCHN this morning and got Zoe weighed and measured, She is currently 5.92kg, 39cm HC and 57cm long! Have a dr appointment tomorrow to get her birth mark checked out. She has a strawberry one and I know they usually grow rapidly and hers has tripled in size in two weeks and is partly under the skin too so want to keep a eye on it. Hopefully we are in the 90% of people whose stop growing after 12 months and fade by the time they hit their teens. Its quite large and on her back near her left shoulder, hate to say this but its ugly and coming up to summer will cause a lot of stares and questions.
I'd say WW Harri, comfort sucking, not wanting to sleep, and wanting company

Georgia hardly slept yesterday, only like 10 minute cat naps, drove me even more insane than usual, but then she slept from 10pm until 2.20am!!!!!!!!! Another 2 1/2hrs after that then crap all but I think I got 3 hours and I actually almost feel human today
Willow- nope not nasty things.. mainly just unsightly. Lucky as most kids get them on their face and neck so least Zoe's isn't there. Only the ones on their eyes and neck they worry about as they can affect there vision and airways when they grow. Something she inherited from Dh side of the family as both SILS children have them

Georgia has one on her eye. It doesn't look as red as Zoe's one it's more pink and hasn't grown at all. I'm guessing they are different? Georgia's is more like lots of little blood vessels in one spot.
Yep that's it, stalk mark Sorry just when you said eye and face I thought of Georgia's. I realised a while later the difference.
