I forgot to mention before I have a breast pump on the way in the mail. I am really hoping Georgia will take a bottle, I could do with a break every now and then. I need to get some bottles too that would help lol

Zoe is well Zoe. Sleep is for the weak.
At the moment though at the hospital with dd2 who was vomiting and vomited blood. Looks like she just tore her stomach lining and they have given her a wafer to stop the vomiting. That stuff works so fast!! She perked up within 20min and is keeping food down.
Hopefully can go home soon
Oh no poor DD2!! But yeah go the Zofran wafers :D Hope she's feeling better and home ASAP is it a gastro bug? :(
Beatrix - How's your DD2 feeling now? I've never heard of the wafers. Glad they are fast working.
Still not good. She vomited twice yesterday once was bloody again but dr say its just because her stomach is empty and the heaving.
She is really nauseas though and just run down, tired and miserable plus hungry but not eating :( off to a local GP to see if we can get some anti nausea stuff for her.
I don't know if children can have it but I find Maxalon quite good in reducing nausea.
DB- nah dr says no for maxalon for kids.
She wanted to prescribe some more zofran but said she wasn't able to because it needed to be done by a certain dr with special approval.
Instead she said phernergan and pain stop. She is much better tonight and has only thrown up once but is still nauseas, but the worst part is she is freaked out by it now and scared so she is hyperventilating. Having to breath with her through the nausea.
Lots of hydro lite and found some natural anti nausea/travel sickness lolly pops for her. Def at the end part of it.
Lots of disinfectant and hand sanitizer in the house I'm so scared of Zoe getting it :( she would end up in hospital for sure.
I'm not sure about Maxolon either for kids. It has more nasty side effects than Zofran too. Depending on why she's nauseas Phenergan can reduce nausea too, that's just OTC too. As long as you know she's not sensitive to it as well it's usually a sedative but can go the complete opposite with some people and she could end up bouncing off the walls!

Ginger is a natural preventative of nausea. It's supposed to be good to stop it too. Ginger lollies are available everywhere.
Is anyone else suffering from leaky boobs. Logan feeds every 3hrs during the day but stretches it out to every 4-6hrs overnight. I'm leaking right through breast pads. The last few nights I've had a small towel tucked into my bra. Not much fun to sleep like that. I've got up to pump but most of the time I'm drenched right through to my pjs and bed sheets. It's awful.
Any advice??
DB- sorry Hun no advice here. I don't leak at all even when I'm about to burst!
Dd2 is a lot better today. Another day at home on the couch though and jelly and plain toast but she has color!! Phernergan seemed to help.
Zoe's doing pretty well too. Yesterday she went 6hrs between a feed and also started the night in her bassinet! Slept 3-4hrs in there. Too cold to stick her back in after her feed though but she sleeps well in with us just paranoid about SIDS as her bassinet has angel care monitor so prefer her to sleep there.
Wilder is 9wks old today :) Since birth he has put on 2170g, nearly doubling his birth weight which is a huge achievement considering he was IUGR! He currently weighs 4705g (10lb5oz) and is 57cm long. Still sleeping 10pm-5am. He has had a few unsettled periods here and there; along with a few poo issues (saving it all up until we end up with poosplosion). I forgot how awkward this stage is, they're much more alert and personable but still too little to really do alot so they get frustrated. Bring on the next phase of holding toys, rolling and sitting up :dance:

Freya Wilder has done really well with all that growing!! We've been lucky and haven't had too many poosploshions :D
Sorry DB no help from me either. I leak a bit at night if she goes more than 4 hours in a row, so doesn't happen often lol maybe twice I have leaked.
We had epic sleeping yesterday. Georgia slept In the car from my sister's house to home, didn't wake when we stopped so I parked at the front door and left her in there while I had a quick lunch standing at the door watching her. She stayed asleep on the way to pick up DS from pre school and all the way home again! So about 1pm until 3pm.She woke briefly when I bought her in, fed changed and went back to sleep for another hour. She got grumpy and had a sleep in the swing until 10pm. I thought she'd be up all night but she then woke every three hours to eat. This morning she slept three hours in the swing. So I'm hoping the swing will keep her content and it's not just a coincidence and she's having a growth spurt or something.

Beatrix- Sorry to hear DD was not well! DD1 has a nasty cough and runny nose again! :( the whole prep class is coughing and spluttering everywhere! Last time Eleni got lucky and didn't catch it, I pray she doesn't get it this time either, so hard when the little ones get sick!!

Not much else going on here..... just the usual eat/sleep/poop business!! Yesterday as she was feeding she burped and it all came out through her nose/mouth all over her and me!! ARG!! so nothing has changed in that department!! :rolleyes:
It's starting to get real cold here in the mornings now.... was 4 degrees this morning for school drop off!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Zoe had a restless night, slept but couldn't seem to get comfortable.. think it may be because i ate dairy again on the weekend. grr i hate not being able to eat it.
I'm back at work full time next week. I'm struggling with the thought of it. We've decided to go to the zoo on my last day of leave. I can't believe my maternity leave is over. Sigh. I'm only back for a couple of weeks and then my work shuts down for tax time which doesn't involve me. So I get another week off.
Leaking has stopped and milk production has slowed down a lot. Boobs aren't nearly full like they have been since birth. I don't know what's happening with me. Logan feeds every 3hrs unless its night then it's longer. I think I'll set an alarm and express three hourly overnight and hope that increases my milk.
DB- i really feel for you having to go back to work so soon :9 hope you cope ok wth it. Did your work do your mat leave? cause if you wrked full time couldnt you do the paid parental leave from the gov as well?
So freaking cold here now during the night. I have given up completely trying to get little miss to sleep in her bed. Its just not happening, and tbh i dont blame her. Who wants to go back into a freezing cold bassinet when they can be snuggled up with mum as her hot water bottle?
DB It could be that you're a bit anxious about going back to work and that could be affecting your supply :( Whatever it is I hope it corrects it's self soon. You'll be exhausted pumping through the night and having to go back to work! :hug:
Bea freezing here too! We're getting -4 tonight apparently Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! I've got Georgia in DSs old Grobags the last couple of nights so don't feel so bad about putting her into her bed after a feed. I know she won't come unwrapped. But I do keep her in with me after the 5am-ish feed if we're all snuggley :) I have her in an Arms Reach Co-sleeper which I really like she's close enough I can still touch her comfortably without having her in with me. It gives a bit of stretch out time for me for at least a few hours a night which makes such a difference.

It's going to be freezing over the next few mornings!! arg! We have external stairs to get down, and this morning I had to throw two buckets of hot water down it to melt the ice or I would have taken an express route to the bottom with both kids!!! :o
I have Eleni in DD1s old grobag, they are awesome, she's been in then for weeks now!... at about one month she would wriggle herself out of the wraps and she was getting cranky with the snuggly zip up ones... wanted her arms out!
Last night she did 9:30pm-6am!!!!!! straight!!! AND she has been sleeping pretty much ALL day!! Think I'm paying for it now as she still isn't asleep for the night!! :o I can hear her in her bed! My WWs book hasn't arrived yet, looking forward to it!!
One more week of school here and then it's school holidays!!! I can't wait!!!
Hi. I think you're all right about stress related milk supply problems. I seem to be back on track now. My sleep patterns are not very good right now. I stay up after Logan's 1am feed for 2hrs catching up on housework!
Oh DB you should be sleeping at 1am not cleaning! That will be the end of you when you go back to work! I am just letting mine go, it is completely doing my head in and I would die if anyone called over unexpectedly, but sleep is precious. :hug:
Georgia seems to be stretching her night feeds out now to 3 even 4 hourly, I just hope this is the new norm not just a stage to lull me into a false sense of security :( She just wakes, feeds and settles straight away at night which I am soooo grateful for! I just wonder why it's so different through the day :dunno: I swear it takes longer to get her to go to sleep than she sleeps for in the end :wall:
Beatrix how does Zoe go pooing now? It seems to be an ordeal with Georgia. She gets so fussy and fidgety and takes quite a while sometimes to be finished. DS just pooed! No fussing he wouldn't even stop feeding you'd just hear it exiting lol But Georgia stops feeding an starts fussing, she even wakes up and fusses for ages at night until she is done. She has also stained all the MCNs they were perfectly clean after 2 years use with DS, but she has stained them all and I can't get it out! Maybe she has some super poo issue or something :o
I was wondering how the hammock was going too you've only mentioned the bassinet?
Willow- Zoe doesn't poo regularly or daily. We haven't had poop for 4 days now and she is very fussy lately pretty much all time.
Have been lazy with hammock / bassinet don't really bother with either because I jut don't want to risk waking her and taking 30+min each time to settle her. Day sleep are done in the swing or on me and night in our bed.
Zoe's currently feeding 3hrly again so between settling and feeding nothing else gets done. Lol no way would I clean in the middle of the night.
I'm still lazing in bed and its 10:30am. DH is making the girls clean and I don't plan on helping. Lol
Yep fair enough! Day sleeps here are on me (as we're doing right now) or in the swing same as you. I thought maybe there was too much noise with DS waking her repeatedly through the day just as she is going off, so I tried taking her into the bedroom to settle her in her grobag same as night time, but DS kept following me or coming in and out every few minutes. So even if it were going to work, it won't with him in and out. It's a big ask for a three year old to stay out in the lounge room by himself for between 30mins to an hour while you settle the baby.
We had another episode of reflux screaming last night after over a week with out it. I thought I had nailed it to sausages but obviously not. The only two things I can think of the last couple of days I have eaten is banana cake, pumpkin soup and I've been having more raspberry leaf tea than usual. Has Zoe been better? Still on the meds?
Yep Zoe still on meds. Some days I think it helps other days not so sure.
Her main issue is her wind I think, she farts like a trumpet and all squirmy before she does it. Plus I think it is dairy to a extent as well. I go well going without for the week but cave during the weekend. But have been good this weekend so hoping we see some improvement again.

I only clean in the middle of the night because I can't sleep. Logan smacks his lips to wake me then he feeds and then he goes back to sleep. I wish I could settle back into bed like him. No chance lately though. He's fussiest from 5-7pm and then he sleeps from 7pm for 5-6 hrs. He's asleep on my lap now. Enjoying watching his beautiful little face. His cheeks have gotten so chubby and beautiful.

Modern cloth nappies DB :) Well if you're awake and can't sleep I guess you may as well clean if you're up for it. Aren't they beautiful when they are asleep :angelic: We have chubby cheeks here too, I call her my squidgey baby because the cheeks are so squidgey :) I hope you get a good sleep tonight for work tomorrow :crossfingers: :goodluck:

I posted too soon. Logan has been restless since 7pm. Not crying or upset but not staying a sleep - just mumbling away.

Beatrix/Willow- :( I do hope things get better..... it is so tough when they are glued to you all day!!
Still lucky at the moment here.... Eleni will sleep in her bassinet during the day when home... she will sleep until 10am..then has awake time and usually wont sleep until 2pm!! YES 4 hrs awake!! haha including 2 feeds at this time.. one at 10am and then another 1-1:30pm... I then get her in her fluffy outfit for school pick up! She then sleeps until about 4pm when it's feed time again!... then she will usually alternate between being awake and napping in her swing until about 7pm when she cluster feeds until 9:30pm approx.!
When we are out if the pram this all changes... there will be VERY minimal sleep to had!.. too busy looking around! :rolleyes:
DD1s cough hasn't gone yet... and now Eleni has a cough too!!.. so not happy with that!.. :( poor little thing... I called DR on call today to come check them out..mainly for Eleni, to make sure it wasn't chesty etc.. He says it's only viral and we just need to let it run it's course and to take them back to GP in three days if it hasn't gotten better!.... I hate it when the little ones are sick and there is nothing you can do!...
Also DH is away until Friday afternoon for work..!! So I'm doing it alone for the week!! arg!...
Harri - Thanks for the work well wishes. I've burst into tears about a thousand times today. It's me being clingy with my two babies instead of the other way around. My 20 month old daughter held my face and planted me a big kiss with MWAH sound effects tonight. Yep, the tears started flowing again. I'm trying to remind myself I'm working for them and how lucky that DH has time off to be at home with them for a while. I don't have to take them to daycare. DH is all ready. Mind you I've got everything laid out for him. It still won't be easy with two little ones going solo.
DB- OMG yes, I would be crying also!!!!....So not easy... and hormones are still raging, which doesn't help!! Hope your DH can handle it! Mine would so be begging me to come back in a few hrs!! LOL
DH has been a bit clingy too. I'm very lucky in that he is a hands on Dad. He baths the kids, changes nappies, entertains and cooks so I have every faith in him that our babies will be fine. He gets nervous about what to dress them in though. I don't really mind what they wear around the house but I lay everything out - including DH's clothes - so he doesn't panic. DH can be a bit impatient though. He sometimes expects a bit much from our 1yo. BD1 adores him. She's such a Daddy's girl. They have a beautiful relationship.
so i have been doing a bit of research and have come to the conclusion or theory zoe might be MSPI (milk and soy protein intolerant) the symptoms suit her completely.
the problem with tat is i dont think i can continue to bf on such a restrictive diet... especially since they suggest lots of fruit tofill you up and I cant eat fruit
Oh no Bea I hope it's not and you can keep feeding. But if you have found the problem and can have a happier bub and mum then that's a good thing. Is there a way to be sure before restricting your diet? I guess not, that would be the way to be sure :/
DB I hope you've been going ok back at work.
Willow- i have looked into my diet with a fine tooth comb and realised that there is so much hidden dairy!!! and I have accidentally consumed it on times so need to pay more attention. so going to still use soy and just trying to eliminate the dairy 100%
It's so hard especially when you are busy with other kids to look after too. It's really hard when you just want 'something' now and need to be able to eat it and make it with one hand! I've never looked at dairy, only additives and there's plenty of them hidden, where is the hidden dairy??
Just in things like my oatmeal... i mean you add milk yourself why would their be milk powder in it too? and sauces etc... milk powder is added to so much stuff. Butters/margs
arghh im seriously going to explode.
Miss zoe has been asleep for 4 hrs in her swing and hadnt feed for 3 hrs before that so thats 7 hrs of no boob... which means my boobs are HUGE. I have just expressed a bit to be more comfortable but unsure weather to keep it or not as its basically 50ml of foremilk... and too much foremilk makes her gassy but also dont want to poor it down the sink. Am thinking i will wait till after she has feed, express again to that it adds the hind mink to it?
That's what I'd do you don't want to waste it. Probably a good thing she won't get it when she wakes up too.
Beatrix- Yes, there is so much stuff hidden in our foods!! :/ makes me angry to think about it sometimes...we just trust them..but we shouldn't! I would do the same re the milk too!
Well..... miss Eleni is still coughing poor little thing... this evening she had her usual massive 7:30pm feed and while I was burping her she had one of her coughing fits and she burped/coughed at the same time and it ALL came gushing out!! OMG I have never seen so much milk come out of her before...I am amazed that she gets that much milk from the evening feed!!!! WOW!! I was soaked through my wind cheater and top all down my shoulder/arm and side AND a whole big puddle on the floor!! So she has been feeding non stop from then until now to try and make up for it!.. guess she'll be up sooner rather than later tonight!! :rolleyes: With the coughing I haven't had too much sleep over the last few nights!...I am so looking forward to school holidays!!!
PS. My WW book arrived!!! Now to try and find the time to READ it!!!
