Hi guys,

Going well here too. I have started some solids with Joe, he has been watching our every move intently when we eat and drink. He reaches for everything too and has even managed to get the spoon in his mouth. I have looked in to BLS, but do find the thought a little scary. He's only started in the past couple of days and has had apples and carrots, pureed, but still with some texture. He loves it! He will also take a bottle of EBM, so I had a few drinks for the first time in a long time the other night. I felt like death the next morning, so I think I'll stay away from the alcohol for now. Still having one or two wake ups at night and cannot get him to settle before 9pm. A bit of sleeping in the cot to start and then joins me in bed after his first feed. His day sleeps are getting shorter too... which sucks actually lol! My DP has been working over the holidays and I feel like I am burning out a bit and getting grumpy with my 2 year old, she is really fond of yelling "nah" at me whenever I ask her to do anything. It's tiring.

I haven't weighed him in the last 2 weeks and I'm sure he's had a grow, but he was 7.4kg, wearing size 0. Rolling both ways and pushing his little behind into the air! He can't sit still on my knee, always with the bouncing lol. Blowing raspberries and generally being a cutie patootie!

Shame about the ear infection Andie, poor guy. And wow he is a big boy, I'd be amazed and proud of that size too. I had to move Joe out of his moses basket as he was too big for it, I couldn't fit his cot in our room either - so now I sleep in his room, Ha!

Wow Kelly, you sound busy with bub, work AND reno's. We moved into our house in May and have slowly been doing things one room at a time. I haven't really done much since DS arrived, but DP's been busy in the garden. We filled a 4m skip with rubbish last weekend!! Next will be a new shower as it is currently leaking from somewhere, we just have to find an appropriate time to do it i.e. when no one needs a shower for a few days. DP is a builder and does everything himself, it's handy but takes so much longer when he can only get to it on weekends (if he's not working). I'm thinking of taking the kids to NZ to see the family in Feb, maybe he can stay behind and do the shower while we are away! I hope the rest of your renovations go smoothly.

I wonder how all the other August mums and bubs are doing?

Take care
Patti x

Also: Andie, how is your hair loss now? I am starting to get bald spots....... it's freaking me out.
