Eeep! Precursors to crawling already?! Jeepers.

Ava was five months old yesterday and weighed in at 7.5kg and 66cm. She is teething - drooling like a rabid dog and stuffing everything in her mouth. She was holding onto my thumbs this afternoon and pulled them both into her mouth for a good chew/slobber. Cute, but ew! Slimy She found her feet and had a great chat to them.

Horrible moment on Sunday - I slipped down the stairs holding her Landed flat on my back. I hugged her to my chest as I fell but the impact has messed us both up. We saw the chiro this morning - when he had me feel her spine, I cried. One vertebrae in her lumbar spine was right out of whack. He adjusted her back into alignment but said she felt a little bruised/inflamed through the hips. Then he got to me and I'm even worse off. We'll be going back on Friday. I just can't believe it happened, I had genuine anxiety about exactly this happening with DD1 when we first brought her home so am super careful on the stairs. My feet literally slipped out from under me.

She's so beautiful it takes my breath away. I love it when I'm feeding her and she smiles up at me with her mouth full. After the rough time I had bf DD1 I'm so proud to have made it to 5 months ebf. She is looking almost ready for solids. We got her a high chair and she thinks she's the cat's pyjamas sitting up next to her big sister. She just plays with spoons or toys while we eat. Fun!

Hope you and your babies are all well xox
