Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Hi girls gosh life is busy now! Haven't had much of a chance to write an update!
L is doing well, 4.5 months old. Been rolling since just before 4 months old. Is now starting to push forwards when on her tummy (assuming its a type of army crawl?) I bought a bumbo and she loves it! Makes cooking tea alot easier. Still sleeping throughout the night which is heaven. L is starting to chuckle properly such a gorgeous little laugh she has. She is defently different to her brothers much more dramatic, lol!
Loves toys, she got a hold of a princess doll the other day and when I took it off her so she could have a bottle she threw a princess sized tantrum! Hehe.
She has us all wrapped round her little finger, even the boys like playing with her and always wanting to help like giving her a dummy or giving a toy.
Thinking about starting food, tea time each night she screams wanting her share (she could be asleep then wakes up when tea is served or just had a bottle and still has a tantrum lol)
Me on the other hand not going the best, bleeding problems like usual no found cause. But now af is extremely heavy I can go through around 10 overnight/ maternity pads a day. I am assuming tubes being tied must be cause for that as never had it this bad but of course they tell me I'm being silly and fob me off with cyklokapron tablets which to date hasn't "stopped anything" like its supposed too. I was told "Unfortunatly you are most likely one of those causes which won't be able to find a cause, you'll need a hysterectomy!" I'm sorry but I'm too young to have everything taken, and even that has its own risks and problems associated with it. Just stuck like this.... So disappointed in the medical system and treatment.
Anyway I hope we all atleast have enjoyable christmas with out newest additions. One time of year I can go crazy and spoil them and they don't its us! Lol.

Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Miloro.back at work already, wow. How's it going? Sometimes I would love to be able to go to work too!
Ashie..sounds like all is well with little ms and your boys. Sorry to hear about the bleeding. How'd your eldest go at school this year, particularly after the change in schools? Do you have the next one at kinder or starting school?
Peace, I was talking to my dh about h this morning because l had his needles yesterday and he is miserable. How log was it until h was back to himself? L is sleeping on me and if I move him, he screams as if he's in pain. How's the shakes going. I need to lose 20kg so after Christmas I'll get onto it. I also going to try to increase my bm as he keeps going for it just there's not a fast enough flow
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Miloro it's great that your work is flexible for you with H. Are you happy to be back to work? I'm considering returning to the workforce in Feb/March and finding the thought a bit stressful. I want to go back, but I don't want to. But I really want to... Ha!
Ashie it's tough not to feed them yet isn't it! Little H seems to interested and keen to try some food it's so tempting to start sharing. When did your boys start?
Sorry your bleeding problem is still persisting. What a joke! Surely there is another fix than a hysterectomy. Your only mid 20s aren't you? You would think a good gyno could sort it for you.
Mini Little H was put of sorts for about a week I'm afraid. We dosed him up on Panadol twice the first day to calm him and after that cuddles, showers/baths and booby were enough. Poor L :( how silly to overlap the vac schedule with a wonder week! The diet smoothies worked great. I lost 2kg pretty easily. I'm off them now for holidays but I'll be back into them to try to lose a little more after Chrissy/New Years. So cool that L is still interested in the booby! I hope you can get your supply up and running for you both :)
I think it's time to get a jolly jumper or the like. He always wants to be on his feet and jumping! This kid wants to bounce.

Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Mini I'm so sorry L is having reaction to needles I'm waiting until after Christmas for missy moo's she's been a bit cranky so thought id delay it until te 5th month.
Thankyou for asking ds1 pretty much got a perfect report card (except sports but he takes after his daddy there, not going anywhere fast lol) his reading is well above normal range for his age, and writing and maths are perfect so very pleased. Just shows the first teacher at the other school is just a nasty piece of work.
Peace I started all the kids before 6 months I looked for signs of not just hungry but grabbing and mouthing (she screams at tea time for food she wants to be included)
None of my kids have allergies, also bought a mesh bag thing and put ice cube in and she loves it and kept her cool on real hot days. She also has bottles real often sometimes under two hours, she hates not being full.
Re the bleeding problem I've seen gynos etc I have them stumped lol. I refused the hysterectomy to the doctor the other day I'm still young and that alone comes with its own problems that can occur.
Well tried L on purée fruits last night and she is a pro even though it was her first time on solids! No mess, no fussing, just opened her mouth her gobbled it up hehe. Also she was happy afterwards full of smiles and squeals.
Also she got to sit on santas knee yesterday which she loved snuggling his beard lol.
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Ashie, glad to hear your boy has flourished at school, sorry to hear about the bleeding though. Hope it stops soon. Glad to hear L liked Santa. Hunter looks so bored in his photo with Santa.
Peace, how is H going now? All better after immunisations? On work, honestly if you can afford to stay off for another couple of months then do. Even though I love my job I'm heartbroken to be away from my gorgeous baby and I haven't even been separated from him yet. But yes, I'm very lucky my boss is flexible.
Mini, try boobiebikkies to help up your supply. There are recipes online or you can order them online.
AFM, last couple of days have been action packed. Hunter's first tooth is through. He teethed like a champ, you'd barely know it was happening. Yesterday he had his 4 month immunisation and again, was such a brave little guy. Unfortunately he developed a fever and hit 39 degrees. He was a bit cranky for a couple if hours but quickly got back to his happy self despite still having a raised temp. Man I love this kid. I do wish he'd go to sleep now though. He hasn't napped all day and it is now 10pm. He just wants to play :)
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
How's L today mini?
Ashie so glad L enjoyed her first go of fruit! Sounds like you read her perfectly. H has been sucking on anything he can reach and now started chewing like mad on poor Sophie the Giraffe. He's excited watching us eat and seems to want to be included. Think I'll start him in January :)
Thanks Miloro, Little H is doing better now. He's just dozed off next to me sucking his thumb :heartbeat:. The love you feel for them is overwhelming isn't it. Nothing compares! Sorry your H had a bad reaction to the vax too! Poor guy :( teeth already? How cute!! I was hoping to stay off work for a while longer but we'll see. DP is being quite the turd about it.
Other than the couple of you I'm already friends with, Is anyone else on fb? Heaps easier to keep up on there :)
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Lachlan's much better today than goodness.
Miloro...Hunter's first tooth sounds great. I vividly remember my last 2 girls being horrible teethers. I'm not looking forward to it too much in that respect. I do like the gummy smiles. My eldest daughter is losing her top teeth now and its so cute. I've looked up the biscuits...thanks. I'm not sure what to do do, he has a little suck and a lick and that's about it.
Ashie, we put some food on Lachlan's tongue and he had no idea. I think he will be a while away yet. Good to hear she's doing fine. Sorry about the bleeding. Hope someone works out what it is and I agree that you're too young to have a hysterectomy in so many respects. I'm glad your ds did well at his school. Isn't it amazing the transformation in that first year. I can believe how well my girl is reading and all the stuff she's learnt. I have dd2 starting next year, which will be great. She's so ready.
Peace ...what's the go with your dp and wanting you to go back to work quickly? I'm on fb...
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Peace, look me up. I'll pm you my name IRL.
Well tooth number one may have been relatively easy but tooth number two...another story entirely. Poor bugger cried so much yesterday and then started again when he woke up. Fortunately he still manage to sleep quite well through the night. I also saw out CHN today who told me Hunter is too young to be teething. I said "look, you can already see one" and she said "maybe he is teething then"...ya think?
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Miloro, sometimes I wonder about those nurses! Sorry to hear the next tooth isn't great.
Merry Christmas to you all. Hope you're all having a great day x
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Mini I'm glad L improved quickly. DP and I have always had different views on SAHM vs working mummy. I wanted to be home and he wanted me working because that's what we had each grown up with. We agreed I would return part time at 6mo but I'm now not wanting to and DP is feeling quite bitter about it. We are having a rough time as a couple lately and decided to start counselling in the new year. I'll pm you my name for fb :)
Wow Miloro 2 teeth are impressive! Are they both front bottom? We have one coming through on the bottom too.
Merry Christmas all! A little one brings the sparkle back to Christmas xx
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Hey Peace, yep bottom front two teeth. The second has just cut through the gum line today so he is much happier. Sorry to hear you and your partner are having some struggles. I hope counselling will help. I tried to PM you several times about FB but I kept getting knocked off the site. Are you friends with Stevie? You could find me that way. First name is Mieke. :)

Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
We have tried our first food! A chunk of avocado on New Year's Day at 5 months 1 week and 1 day. He had lots of fun smooshing it through his fingers and toes and tasting it but I don't think he actually swallowed any haha
I had planned to start at 6 months but he was reaching for food with his mouth going so I just went with my instincts.
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
I've started solids too, a bit earlier than anticipated at 4.5 months but not regularly. I guess I thought it might help with reflux but haven't noticed any difference.
We went camping for a week and it was cold and yuck and both Lachlan and I have a cold.
Hope you are all well x
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
We are waiting till 6 months to start solids and will do baby lead solids which is what I did with DD. DF keeps saying that a little bit of food won't hurt and I know there are lots of bubbas who have solids before 6 months but 6 months of exclusive breastfeeding is something that is important to me so we are waiting.
I went out for the first time the other night to the movies - left DS with DF and DD (first time he had both kids by himself!!) and left EBM for DS - DF said he tried to give it to him but he really wasn't interested. I think it was because I fed him up to his eyeballs before I left so he would sleep LOL. DF tried the bottle and said he if really felt he needed the EBM but DS still wouldn't take the bottle he would have syringed it into his mouth - all that time in Special Care with both DD and DS must have paid off as he realises there is more than one way to feed a baby :)
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Loving keeping up with the August bubs. thrilled to say my bundle of joy arrived safely on December 27th at 4:32am all natural. I have never loved anything or anyone more than I do my little boy
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Congrats kbudgie, what did you name him? And boysrock....how is she?
Lachlan's so interested in food, I love it. I just won a high chair off eBay for $12.66! Its a stand alone one. I've always had one that sits on the chair but with our expanding family plus granddad here a lot, I thought I'd get me a cheap one!
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
we named him William George after dhs grandfather. boysrock had her bub on 22nd November
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Great strong name kbudgie! Big congrats to you x
Mini that's a bargain! We scored a hand me down high chair from my mum. She uses to keep it at her house when she babysat my niece. The whole seat cover comes off easy and goes straight in the wash. Love a bargain! What solids are you offering? Are they puréed or are you doing BLW?
Tk hope you enjoyed the movie! Your man sounds like a very confident daddy! Good on him.
I had planned to do BLW but DP wanted to try puréed so we have tried both. H seems disgusted by the spoon lol perhaps he isn't quite ready to actually eat properly so I might just keep letting him play with and taste chunks and try puréed again later. I think I'll do a mix of both. No rush which is nice. He is learning to drink milk from a sippy cup too which is going well! And I'm starting to get a stock of milk in the freezer in preparation to return to paid employment.. I so badly want to stay home with him :( we could afford to have me stay home but DP doesn't feel ok about being the only one "working" because there's no "equality" if I don't "contribute". He can't appreciate a SAHM. Gah!
Back to happy things - little H sits up all alone now! He laughs himself off balance and falls down. It is too cute.
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Um....aren't you contributing raising his child?
Great that h is sitting up. I've started Lachlan on rice cereal and he's sucked on banana. I plan to do a mix. Dd3 did bls and puree and she did well. I think at this stage its more about learning how to eat and tasting and milk is still first.
My question is... What's the go with introducing allergens? Its changed in 3 years!
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Not sure on introducing allergens mini.. I thought it was recommended to wait til 12 months? I'd be curious to know the correct answer though. I've bought organic banana porridge for Henry to start trying next week. He keeps trying to pinch my toast! He'll be 6months old on Friday far out it's gone so quickly!
Things are improving with DP thankfully. We spent last week separate for 4 days which is the longest we have been apart and it really helped. It's just refreshed us both and we can appreciate each other again. He has had time to think over his views alone and decided he does support my want to stay home with H for now. I'm going to go to work with my brother just on Saturdays for now so DP can care for H. Probably only 5-6 hr shifts and I'll get to visit and feed H in the middle. I start in Feb.
I upgraded and got a new stroller today I'm so excited! I got a steel craft strider compact so we can put a second seat on when the time comes.
Anyone starting to get clucky again? I'm so clucky this week and I wonder if it's a hormonal thing because AF might be about to return now that I'm introducing solids.. Hope not!
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Peace it's wonderful to buy new prams!
I bought a plum coloured stroller for little miss whic she loves never a peep out of her when out lol! Glad things are going better with dh, men huh and they think we are the complicated ones! Hehe.
I'm always clucky (so can't have anymore though, plenty of kids and as many m/c's too which I couldn't go through again with) but oh I miss being pregnant some days also miss the kids being newborns too! They grow up way too quickly.
Little miss L is doing well at just over 5 months she weighs just over 7.2kg, is now in size 0 clothing (well doctors were wrong she isn't small!) and is on the verge of crawling already! (She is rocking away on her knees and etching forwards!)
She is fussy on foods (just like her brothers but worse!) will only eat puree's and won't try lumpier food or thicker she cries otherwise!
Her favourite noise is blowing raspberries hehe.
I on the other hand am not great, stressed like crazy (joys of re financing and fingers crossed a new home with more bedrooms!)
And my whole af thing is totally poo!
Only lucky to get a weeks break at the most cycle isn't on time (usually arriving up too a week early so only 21 days some months) and leaves me so exhausted. Asked about an ablation told high chance won't fix anything, meds they gave me don't work only option left its hysterectomy (cries!!!)
My sil's sister has same trouble except it worsened over time she has a diagnosis why, but has to go through same thing so she is letting me know how things go etc....
I really don't know if its a good or bad thing to do (waiting before committing to it so I have a good long think of course) its crazy that someone my age has to go through this and that no cause found yet (a few articles I've read have said alot of these things do go on to have no actual cause found so I don't feel hopeful of one being found)
Anyway it's just another very stressful time hopefully ones all decisions made and done things go a bit better.
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Sorry to hear about your stress Ashie
Peace, glad to hear things are a little better with DP.
We are trying to sell our house so I can be closer to work. Spending four hours travelling each day is too tiring and even though I am with Hunter, I don't feel it is really quality time. And when we do get home everything is so rushed getting ready for the next day. He is loving day care though and they love him. I go in to feed him every lunch time and have a little reconnect.
Does anyone have an opinion on tummy sleeping at this age? Hunter has started rolling onto his belly while sleeping. Should I be rolling him back or letting him decide how he sleeps?
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Miss L sleeps on her tummy sometimes. She doesn't have any blankets in the cot only dressed suitable for weather that evening. First off I kept rolling her back which either woke her up or she would roll back I was not sleeping well, dh said let her sleep however and yep she sleeps alot better without me prodding lol. She sleeps all sorts of way (side, back and tummy) I think at this age where they can roll and support their own head miss L can support herself on knees too) its a alot more safer than it was when they were first born.
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Ashie sounds like your little girl is very keen to get moving! Sorry your still having troubles yourself. I'm not sure what an ablation is? I think it's a joke that it can't be diagnosed for you, though. You poor bugger.
Miloro I'm so glad your work and day care set up is working for you both. Can't help with the tummy sleeping thing. We are still bed sharing so Little H is only sleeping on his side or back. He nuzzles right in and sleeps up against me lol sometimes when I get to go to the loo in the night, he does roll (looking for me) onto his tummy he wakes up and does a very sad sleepy cry. It's very funny.
H still has no teeth! I must have misjudged when I thought he was teething over Xmas. Nothing has cut through. Not that I'm complaining! While he's still on the boobie, those teeth can take their sweet time!
I do my first shift next Saturday :( leaving little H with his daddy for the day. He has already planned to have my MIL over for the day with him. I'm so stressed about it. Our parenting choices are so different. Last night she told DP to let H suck on a zooper dooper!
I'm having a hard time trusting that H will be ok with other people. He's not a particularly high maintenance bub but he often just wants mummy. I hate the thought of him being distressed and me not being there for him :( this is normal though right? Everyone stresses over leaving the baby for the first time...
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Peace how did your first day go? I hope it all went well and mr H gave you lots of squishy cuddles.
Miss L is still teething too little thing she is so close to popping through her two bottom teeth!
School has started so odd just me, dd and ds3 home. Poor ds3 caught an awful tummy bug but today was first day he hasn't sicked, not runny bottom and ate and kept solids down almost a bloody week through (doctor said it was normal and didn't need any medical attention)
Changed miss onto normal formula instead of gold and seems to agree better (why didn't I do this earlier?!)
She is coming up to 8kgs now (I get lots of comments on how big she is my supposed little baby isn't little lol)
So is fussy alot lately I am assuming its all the routine changes (Christmas now school routine)
I can't wait for her hair to grow more I am keen for pony tails, piggy tails etc..
Me I'm plodding along on my af break but waiting for it to arrive almost a week of heaven lol.
Maybe dh (and kids) may give me a sleep in this weekend I really feel like on (I enjoy a qs bed to myself somedays just to snuggle in the blanket and snooze)
Oh one more thing I'm so clumsy lately bruised my knee yesterday, either fractured or broke my pinky toe, car boot shut on me etc... I think a need some bubble wrap!
I hope you all are going well, what new milestones do these babies have up their sleeves next!
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Work went great ashie! I left at 9.30am and then saw him at 12.30 for a feed and then got home at 3. He didn't really eat much at midday he just wasn't keen and also didn't drink the bottle he was offered so his eating wasn't good but he napped and played and wasn't unsettled for DP at all. When I got home though, I came in and said hi to H, then went to get changed and as soon as I walked out of sight he flipped out. Lol. Then he had both full boobs and snuggled for a while <3 I missed him and nearly cried when I left lol we'll see what happens this week!
In other news, we took H for his 6month needles yesterday arvo and had the dr have a quick look at his balls because they're a bit red. Turns out to just be a nappy rash type thing and cream and no nappy time should sort it. But they also noticed one of his balls has gone back up again? He was born with it still up, but it was down by his 6 wk checkup and now it's gone again! Cheeky testy! Off for an ultrasound on it today to see what needs to be done...
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Sounds like he is a mummy's boy peace! Ds3 is clingy to me too (which I love!)
Glad it all went well though, I spent last Friday out for a couple of hours which was good I did need some me time (joys of kidlets but wouldn't change it at all)
How did his ultrasound go? Ds3 teste dropped by 6 weeks and with his yearly appt for hypospadias I think they check that region too (but may ask at his next one this year to be sure its still all good lol) maybe it just decided it would hide for that checkup? Specially cause that it had been confirmed down? I assumed once it comes down it should be fine and I know they do move due to temp etc...
Miss L has hit six months and is almost 8kgs, she also has had a change in formula to regular one instead of gold she now poops more too lol! Maybe might be cause she eats alot of solids too as well! She's a little piggy.
She is getting really grouchy as she hasn't master crawling yet! And grouchy as she cannot walk (she's been balancing and standing herself in the walker lately though) got a hot pink umbrella stroller for school runs best money spent this arvo as this morning both me and my sister got covered in baby sick (bloody reflux!) the groundskeepers thought its funny and goo'ed over her, and thankfully tissues and wipes to clean ourselves up. So now easily folded pram for this quick trips out of car into school and back to car without sore arms (and free too keep ds3 from being too cheeky) and also no more vomit on clothing to mop up whilst there!
Poor ds2 (was expecting this) got a letter/paperwork home today as they want an assessment of his motor skills. We haven't been able to succeed in getting him to do alot of thing including writing, bike riding he is clumsy (he didn't walk until 18 months doctor said that was normal though back then?) Ill have a speak to his teachers in the morning about it all and I've signed paperwork so they can, but also see if any other behaviour at home or school could be useful info for assessment too. I really have no idea (ds1 is real sharp on things and very out there child) ds2 is a tad quieter more into imaginative play, distracted easy and goes off in his own world among other things.
Sort of glad too they notice and isn't left behind or anything and so keen already to get things going so hopefully we get good or news to help him if needed.
Don't I have great luck though! Lol.
Sort of like yep just add it to the pile of worry and stress (but something good will come out of ds2 situation no matter what is my take on it)
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Hi girls.
Ashie..L sounds like she's doing great guns. Isn't it weird having 2 at home. I know have a grade 1 and a prep kid. Hope you can sort out something with af.
Miloro...good luck with your house. It's a long day adding those extra hours just for travel. Sounds like its working well at day care.
Peace... Good to hear that all went well at work. It's normal to feel that way when leaving your baby.
I'm at work now. I went back on Tuesday because dh has no work, so he's at home with the kids. I didn't and don't want to work, but the money has to come in.
Lachlan is ok. He cut his first tooth on Australia day. We didn't even know until a friend pointed it out. He's eating 2 meals a day. He hates it on his tummy still so just rolls over. He's not sitting yet either. I put him in occasional care for 3 hours a week. He did well yesterday. He's not sleeping though, but he's not feeding overnight. We stoppedhis reflux meds 3 days ago and I think he may need to go back. He's unsettled overnight and crying more during the day.
Better go, I'm on my break. Take care x

Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Hello ladies
Ashlie I love his clingyness sometimes too. It is a lovely feeling being all the little guy wants. But frustrating eventually too.
Hope your ds2 can get the help he needs, whatever that may be. Laila is just beautiful and from the fb piccies she certainly looks like she's enjoying her food! Gorgeous little lady makes me hope I get to have a little lady to dress up all pretty too. I bought a floral baby bonnet yesterday for my future daughter lol!
Mini I'm sorry you have had to go back to work under those circumstances :( how stressful for you guys. Hope your coping ok.
We'll Henry had his u/s and the gp recommended surgery which I was not comfortable with so we took it to his pediatrician from birth. The ped said he does not need surgery at this point. The testicle can be "milked" down and is retractable so it moves up and down. In 3 months the ped expects it to be down permanently so we will have to just take him back in a few months if it's still hiding. Jeez I'm glad I'm a girl.
We still have no teeth! But a development this week is he has finally figured out opening his mouth for the spoon lol it's very cute. It's taken him long enough though! Still not actually eating very much but he gets excited for food and gives it a go. We have started swimming lessons too which is so nice.
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Let's hope they stay down, surgery isn't fun for anyone. Lachlan must love his food in terms of opening his mouth he's always opened it wide for the spoon. I've started giving him finger food, today it was baked zucchini and sweet potato chips. He's cut his second tooth and had his needles yesterday and he was crook last night and unsettled today. He not even close to sitting yet. He's not having a feed overnight but is awake one hundred times over for either dummy or cuddles!
Dh has work now, so I can relax a little.
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Peace huge hugs! I know what that's like. At least your doctor doesn't recommend surgery at this stage, I like the idea of waiting as sometimes it can take longer than other times.
I'm glad I'm a girl too even with my many problems lol! Crazy!
Mini I'm still awaiting dd's teeth she too is waking lots lately I'm assuming its cause teething and frustration as she can't lye still sleeps on tummy, side, bac and other position she can get herself in too.
Dd loves purée fruit a sachet goes on like 2 minutes! She's a little piggy. Also she like sneaky floor crackers and shapes ds3 leaves behind! Yet fussy on thicker foods! Go figure!
Dd has officially found a way of going forwards, by doing the worm! Lol!
She got her hand into some fruit loops this morning that of course ds3 left on the floor...,
She is also almost sitting up by held unaided, and trying to put herself into sitting position on the floor. She can easier pull herself up sitting in the bouncer (time to bin the bouncer which will make her sad she like a little nap in there more so than her bed!)
It's ds3's birthday in the morning, so a busy day ahead. Also got ds2's referral so will be organizing a appt for his assessment.
Anyone else's bub love to smile but to make giggle a mission? Dd is full of smiles a lot and squealing all the time (throw in a couple of words too) but you have to work hard to make her giggle, some days a tickle then other days that won't work but throwing a toy does?!)
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Mini I'm glad your hubby has work now. Hopefully that takes the pressure off you a bit.
Ashie it's only recently that Henry is laughing easier. If you act like a monkey, throw your feet around in the air, make weird faces and noises etc. he thinks it's hilarious. But previously it's been hard work! Does L have any teeth? I think little H might be the last in the group to still be all gum lol
H did his first little crawl last night. Just a couple of movements and then back on his tummy and hasn't done it again since. He's 7 months tomorrow so I suppose it's time to childproof! Eek! My little H not so little anymore...
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Hi ladies, wow I had lots to catch up on. Sounds like our bubs are all doing pretty well and keeping you all busy.
Peace, how is work going now you are a few weeks in?
I've had a really hard time over the last month. Hunter has been fine but I sold the house and had to find somewhere to live, my brother in law passed away from brain cancer and I've had other work and relationship stress and crap going on. Thank god for my smiling little angel who makes my life a better one just for being in it.
-
Re: Babies Born ~ August 2013 #1
Miloro I'm so sorry to hear about your BIL. That's just awful. Sorry to hear you've had a stressful time  Have you found somewhere to live that your happy with?
Works going much better and I'm starting to enjoy my little break from being mummy. They have been very short days lately but should start to become longer shortly. I've even started keeping my eye out for something part time and local to do during the week. Part time work seems hard to come by though. Little H is good. 7 & 1/2 months! Clingy ATM but he just loves his mummy best. Who can blame him! He'll only take his day naps if I lay with him which isn't ideal but hopefully it's just a phase.
Things are good around here. We are back on track thank goodness. And I'm very excited that we have decided to ditch the BC and let nature take it's course! It may take some time since I don't have a cycle and still bfing frequently day and night but we are in the running for the next addition :)

Miloro sending huge hugs your way xx
I'm so sorry with everything that has been happening.
Peace woohoo! So glad your wanting a sibling for little H, close together is great! Can be a handful as one goes through one stage and the next child starts it, but I wouldn't change it all mine are close in age so they relate to one another a lot better and really best of friends (beside the usual not sharing lol)
Plodding along here, miss L still has no teeth! But not far at all two little bumps on bottoms gums where teeth are trying so hard to pop through I think it's any day. She officially crawling properly, also can get herself to a sitting position from crawling also now is climbing furniture so ends up on her knees and also feet! She only just 7 months!
She is certainly keeping us on our toes.
Poor thing had gastro, now the flu which I have too (I feel awful must be man flu lol!)
Miss L's favorite word is dad....
Only calls me when she is upset and then it's not mum it's mummmmyyy!!!!
Feeling a bit exhausted (doesn't help I've been unwell a lot lately) but the af issues do my head in! This month 6 days break that is it.....
Nervous about next week ds2 has his assessment with a pead, for his motor skills and also some behavioral stuff (his temper tantrums back with force, has begun to bite and pinch again, found out he plays by himself at recess and lunch, etc actually have 2 pages of things to ask her if its normal or not) I have no clue what they would class as normal or not, I've sort of been chucked in the deep end with no clue what to expect with assessment and process school just said up to 11 month wait public and their opinion it would be better and quicker of we did it so we are. I think I'll be glad to know the final outcome good or bad then at least we know exactly what's up and work from there.

Wow Ashie. You have lots on your plate too. Fx for the assessment. Hope you get helpful answers.
Good luck with bub 2 peace.
I hate to post this but if anyone reading this is able to rehome a dog please let me know. Very very sadly I need to find new homes for two of my fur babies. My hubby and I have actually split and I cannot cope with a six month old, working full time and three dogs. They are beautiful, small dogs and I will fly them anywhere in Oz if I can arrange a good home for them. I am very sad.
