Hi mini, good work on the weight and yay for the photo shoot, I have to organize to do one two with DH and they boys before Daylen gets to big.

Had our 6-8 week check up, Daylen is 5.5kg, 58cm long and HC is 40cm, so he's doing really well. Had his jabs to and it's the first time I've gone alone, we both survived but it's something I'll never get used to. Makes me so sad

How is everyone going? Daylen is going well, getting very chubby, loving the coos and smiles and he's only waking once over night and occasionally sleeping through

Hope everyone and their bubs are all well xx

    Hi girls.
Slater and I are doing great. Last night we only had one feed! Dinner feed was 6pm bed at 7pm and woke for a feed at 230am and then woke at 630am! Felt great today so have just cleaned the house.

Not sure if I updated u all on his 6/52 check but he had put on 1.5kgs and grown 7cm in five and a half weeks! He is growing so well and I'm so pleased with how breastfeeding is going. He is sleeping less during the day but i figure if he keeps up with the long sleeps at night I don't mind!

I put him in the next size nappy last night for bed time - I am a little sad he will be permanently out of newborn nappies soon :-( and I put away all our 0000's one-peices away. My little boy is not so little anymore!

Raffy - how are u going with the two young ones? Hubby is already asking when we are going to start trying again lol - he wants them close together - im on the mind of let's wait atleast a few months lol. How do u find it with them being so close? How is your older boy handling having his little brother taking a lot of your time?

Mini - wow way to go you 2 on the growth of mister slater it does get sad every time they change nappy or clothes size, Daylen is now in crawler nappies and a mix of 000s and 00s it's so sad lol I had to giggle when we bought the crawler nappies the other day considering DS1 is in toddler size which is only the next size up

As for the age gap, it has it's pros and cons, we wanted about 18 months between bubs but thought it may take a while so started 'trying but not trying' when Cooper was 5 months old, and 9 months later we have a Daylen lol 14 months is crazy close, it gets super hard when Cooper needs me which is a lot more than an older bub would, but at the same time they are so close already. Cooper gives Daylen hugs and kisses all the time and in turn Daylen lays in his bouncer smiling and coo-ing at Cooper. If I could go back I would have waited another few months to start 'trying but not trying' but at the same time it's crazy hard now but I can't wait to watch them grow up together and remain really close

Thanks raffy - it's sad but a great releif at the same time knowing we must be doing things right. Had two feeds last night (1am and 430am) but its not too bad. If he throws me a one feed a night every so often I'll happily take it!

I think that's what I'm hesitant about - how much Slater will need if we have a bub close in ages. Especially during the day when hubby is at work. I'm sure we would manage but I also would worry I won't get to fully enjoy your slater if I got pregnant quickly and had morning sickness or any issues and then having a newborn to look after again. And I'm sure hubby is thinking it took us 9+ months to fall with slater so may as well start trying but like u - it could happen straight away!
I think I'll just wait till I'm thinking - yeah I can see us trying and having another. Until then hubby will just have to wait! Lol

A personal question for u girls - when did u first DTD after having your LO's? We haven't yet mainly because once hubby comes to bed I'm falling asleep and honestly sleep is more appealing then DTD at the moment lol. For any girls that had a C/S did your abdomen hurt at all or anything feel different?

How is everyones LOs going? Daylen is thriving on his booby milk but is still hungry after a huge feed so we've introduced solids, once a day, so he now has a legit night time routine, he has a milk feed followed by a food feed, then a long nice bath, which he LOVES, then a play, good old cuddles and then bedtime, in his cot, in his own room () he still wakes at least once over night but is happy to have the dummy popped back in and a back rub and goes back to sleep without a fuss, sometimes he does wake again so in my tired haze I give him a feed but generally he goes from 8/9pm to 3am then til 6/7am (depending on when Cooper gets up and wakes him up) then a feed and back to sleep til 9/10am then odd sleeps during the day.

Hope you ladies are doing well on your ends

    Hi raffy

Slater and I are going well. He was 12 weeks on the weekend - I can't beleive my little baby is three months old already!
He is really becoming a little man and it so fun to watch him everyday. He is starting to heap things with open hands more often and the other day we had some real proper laughs it was so awsome!

He is feeding 6 times in 24hrs and still having one feed a night anywhere between 1-4am. I am considering soon trying possibly sending hubby in to comfort him during the nigh to see if he doesn't need the feed cuz I think sometimes he is a little restless but then I come in and he decides he wants BBs! Plus it's hard to comfort him in the early morning wake up cuz I'm so engorged they are so hard it can't be comfortable for him! Lol

The only routine we have ATM is night time as well raffy. Ours is bath feed bed though. Usually starting about 6ish and in bed by 7ish. He goes to bed really well at night time so we are just going with what works for now.

Growing stats I think he is about 6.5 kg now so nearly double his birth weight lol - he is growing so quickly. Not sure about length but onsie long sleeve/leg 000 are really too tight now so in 00 winter style onsies but still 000 individual pants and shirts.

I think he def had a growth spurt over the weekend - slept lots more and eating more at each feed. Last couple of mornings I've only been able to express about 20mls after his breaky feed where as I normally would get 100mls+ cuz he would be only taking one side but now he is needing both. I'm hoping by still expressing after the feeds I will slowly build back up the supply. I like getting the extra 100ml I the morning for freezing when needed.

Hope everyone else is well. Hope u are all enjoying your Easter break with your families!

Just a heads up that over the next couple of weeks we will be merging the belly/baby buddies groups. Instead of 2 groups for each month there will only be one. We hope you enjoy getting to know more members through your larger groups. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact a member of the moderating team.

HI ladies. I didn't even know this thread existed. Off to do some reading while DS2 is asleep because I know it sure isn't going to last long at the moment. My gorgeous angel baby who loved sleeping has turned completley feral and has decided that sleep is evil

Hi liviam, sorry to hear your LO doesn't wanna sleep anymore, Daylen was like that and was waking every hour over night, now he's waking once and on the odd occasion sleeping through, I can definately deal with waking once haha beats what he was like before. He wakes at about 4.30, has a feed and goes back to sleep til 8.30-9! Shame DS1 wakes at like 6.30

Hi JBM we have a group on FB and mainly talk in there now. Yep 8 months has flown by! Yay on hunter getting a tooth! I love the necklaces and swear by them. Daylen still hasn't no teeth but the two bottom ones are sooooooooo close I wouldn't be surprised if they've cut by the morning, he is such a grump. Just want this teething done with so I can have my happy content bubba back. Also smack bang in the middle of a wonder week so he's definately not a happy chappy. Still sleeping like a champ so I can't complain to much. Hope hunter feels better soon
