Turtledove now I am really confused. The literature I have been reading and what we have been discussing on facebook with other mums with bubs born Dec/Jan was in favour of not touching the upper lip unless it poses a dental risk. Obviously the tongue is an entirely different matter. How did your night go last night?

Rosey your not alone in feeling clucky. I think for me its the thought of never doing it again. I'm not a pregnancy fan but do love the wiggling baby inside. And I absolutely love having a baby. I myself would choose not to have anymore because of finances and the whole ttc thing but if DH wanted more I would need no convincing. My DH is also having a vasectomy. Is there anyway you can talk your husband out of it for now? It should be a joint decision and if your not happy about it I personal think he should wait. Not to say he will ever change his mind on more children but to make something so final if your not on the same page yet is a bit selfish. I did see a good friend go through the same thing. She was actually on her hands a knees begging him not to have it done when he was on his way to the procedure. She suffered severe depression afterwards for several years before he had it reversed and she recently had her 4th baby.
