Hi Ladies. How are you and your lovely December babies? Just thought I would pop in and say hi. Can you believe how fast time is passing?
I am loving my time with my boy. He's such a beautiful little soul. I pinch myself everyday that we have him.

Quark has been sick...she was really bad for a while there, now Spock is sick....and DH was last week. Im starting to feel niggles now....but...must....fight...it...
Sorry to hear that TT40. Our family have never been sick so many times this winter. Bring on Summer (Olaf voice ;) )
Ok ladies. Whose having another bub? I am really trying to make myself feel ok about no more babies but I just really want one more.
Why though? Two is easily manageable for me, morning sickness is horrendous, I suffer from Mummy guilt just thinking about spreading myself over three children, financial burden of another, relationship stress, implication on our other children ... The list goes on as to why not. Is it normal and what every Mama feels when they aren't having another? To get teary, think about pregnancy and birth everyday, not parting with baby items, to just really want another.
I think everyone gets a bit emotional when getting rid of baby things. But it can be good emotional.
We are trying for 1 more. The decision has already been made for us as we have 1 frozen bub left so cant not implant it. I will be praying against all that it sticks. If it does it does, if it doesnt, we wont be going back. Too expensive and dhs age. But it will seriously break my heart.
...gotta go back to work, will hopefully bbs
My DD and DS and I are sick too. Awful head cold with temps and the muscle aches, pains and snot. Very unpleasant. I guess my other 2 DD's and DH will get it just as we are recovering.
Definitely no more babies for me. I am completely at ease with our decision. I was lucky to get no4. DH only wanted another in the hope to have a son so really it worked out well for us as we both got what we wanted. DH is on the waiting list for the snip. We don't have private health insurance so its a 12month wait.
Its been well over 15years since my first pregnancy as my eldest is almost 15. I am exhausted. I find babies so easy compared to older children. There hasn't been a time in almost 15yrs that I have not had a child in childcare so I am looking forward to going to work without the daycare run. To be able to work more and have time for me. I can't have my hair done, eyebrows waxed anything without taking at least 1 or 2 kids with me as we don't have any help with our children. If I can drop 1 off to a play date or with a relative I can't leave them all. DH and I would love to go away even for 1 night where its just us. The last time that happened was our Wedding night 7years ago. Other then the cuteness factor I can't think of any good reasons to have another. So yes 100% done. If you asked me this 18months ago then my answer would have been very different. I will miss the babies.
My eldest is working now. With all the afterschool stuff we hardly have an evening during the week at home. 4 is a lot more chaotic then I thought it would be. I found number 3 was no harder then having 2. She just slipped in like she was always a part of the family. But number 4 we are really feeling the financial pressure. Especially the private school fee's and orthodontic bill. I have $500 a fortnight come out just to cover those 2 things.
I am soaking up all this baby goodness. Its going so fast. I've already got his birthday presents and booking him into family day care for my return to work. A huge part of me is sad that this time at home with him is almost over without returning to work.
DS is crawling now. Still has 6 teeth with no more looking like coming through anytime soon. He says Mum, Dad and bub. He follows me now. If I walk into another room he will often follow. His so beautiful.
Rosie, you are such a great mum to even think of all that. What does your DH think of another?
TT, praying that little one sticks! When are you thinking of implanting?
Mildez, you are amazing to achieve all that. I agree babies are easier than older kids... Why do they have to grow up? Glad you are at ease with where you are. I hope we are too when we reach that point. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Our family is definitely not complete. Haven't set a number yet, maybe 3, we'll see. (DH used to want 6! I'm glad he's reconsidered!!) Will start TTC next year. Not looking forward to ms & exhaustion with a busy little guy!
8.5 months. 50th percentile weight, 85th hight. Love this age. His whole world is opening up, fascinated by cars and lawnmowers and animals. Very social. Loves the park, especially the swing. Fun & exciting, but still my little baby :)
Its a beautiful age isn't it? They are so inquisitive and love sticky beaking. Definitely a beautiful age.
TT40 - Wishing you all the best. Hoping that Bubby 3 stays! Are you doing the transfer soon? How is work and home life mingling?
Mildez - I remember you saying that your family was now complete. Fantastic that you are completely at ease with that decision. Did you end up returning to work earlier? How are your concerns regarding DS's development now, he sounds like he is bang on and doing awesome. Crawling!
Turtledove - also sounds like your little man is going great guns. I totally agree with you, it is a wonderful age. I find myself constantly saying 'this is my fav age' even with our 3 year old. They are just such blessings. Oh MS with a toddler, yep it isn't fun. All worth it though.
Our little man isn't crawling but he gets to wherever he wants to. Talking also. Doing that thing where he pats his mouth and makes noise, which is just so cute! It really is the best age!
We wont be transfering for another year yet.
H is sick again *cries* she is just so miserable, all she does is cry =( not mobile at all yet...like her body has stopped all progression while its healling. I miss my happy laid back girl
DS has this weird thing going on with two of his limbs but it doesn't seem to affect him. He definitely has a weakness like an erbs palsy but at this stage its a wait and see thing and although he gets his arm stuck a lot its not really holding him back. There is no official diagnosis as such. There is certainly nothing going on inside his head as his doing everything he should be doing. Like yesterday he somehow managed to wiggle his way (he commando crawls but doesn't get his belly of the ground) over open a snap lock bag and another little bag and get himself a euchaluptus lollie. Dangerous I know. DD has been sick and left them down. He was so proud of himself. I took it off him much to his horror.
I return to work in November. DH will be looking after DS until next year when he will start daycare. I hate the thought but have to for the finances.
Cheeky little man, getting to the lolly lol. Gosh I am nervous for the day my boy starts crawling. Its a whole new ball game once you already have a child(ren) so many potential choke hazards!
Thanks for the update on your little guy Mildez. I was wondering how he was going. Opening ziplock bags, wow! That takes a bit of co-ordination. Don't think my man could do that.
What age do babies start expressing anger etc? DS has been pulling some very intense faces, tensing up, going red, veins popping in his forehead. My reaction is to laugh, and he then laughs too. I don't think he is angry, just finding new muscles. And getting a reaction. Should I be concerned?
I think it was quiet by accident that the bag opened. It must not have been closed properly. The cough lollies were already opened so I guess one just rolled out. Love seeing their coordination improve.
DS cracks little tantrums. I wouldn't be worried. I am not sure if I'd say its angry as such. More a reaction to not getting what he wants. Like if I give him to DH and he wants me he will do his banana back arched style tantrum.
Oh yes, definitely got little tantrums. Like not wanting nappy change, or wanting to play on the swings longer. Trying to teach him that tantrums don't equate to getting his own way, without agrivating him.
One of those days yesterday. Which led in to possibly the worst night we've had in 8 months. He didnt have his afternoon sleep yesterday, so was in bed by 6:30. Then up at 10, until midnight. More screaming at 2am, woke up every time we put him down, then eventually nothing would calm him. DH says its because he's gotten used to falling asleep in our bed and we should consider CIO. Which made me cry, I feel so discouraged, nothing is working and we only got about 3 hours sleep.
There have been little tantrums here too. Just a tiny little snippet of what is to come over the next few years ha ha.
Sorry your getting pressure to do CIO. You have to do what your comfortable with, don't let anyone pressure you. If it's of any comfort most babies will eventually sleep better. I know it seems hard now but it slowly improves. Was he unwell that day? My son wakes approximately every two hours but if he is sick we have terrible nights. Teeth and separations anxiety also play apart on their sleep at the moment.
I believe the unsettled sleep, small increments of sleep etc are all totally normal. All of my (honest) friends experience exactly the same.
Who's had AF return? I haven't yet. The last week though I have been waiting for it to arrive, have that exact feeling. Nothing yet
Hello :) how is everyone?
Hi Rosey and all the other Dec mums. Can't believe our babies are 9-10months old now.
I am going ok. Exhausted. DS is so clingy and I am studying my butt off for this course I am doing. It should be over in another 5-6weeks with any luck.
I return to work in 4weeks. It doesn't feel like I have had over 9months off. Life has never been so busy.
As for DS his just gorgeous. His hair is getting long now and starting to go curly. He is so busy. Crawling, standing, just cut his 7th tooth. Says mum, Dad, bub and Nan. I can't believe how much mischief he is getting into. He likes pulling things out like books, wipes, blocks etc. He loves it outside. He has also started trying to feed me a few days ago. What is everyone elses bubs up too?
DS. Is 9 months now and into everything! Crawling everywhere, putting everything in his mouth, opening drawers and cupboards etc. We are just cutting tooth #5 (and possibly 6!). He says Mum and Dad. He just got given Rhino brace for mild hip dysplasia that they've been keeping an eye on. He has it until January. My DD had the same but hers was 3-6mo. He is crawling around just as easily and eagerly as before.
Hey girls. Quarks 10mths, and starting to be mobile, i wouldn't really call it crawling though...more long a zombie drag bum scoot thing, but she gets where she needs to. I just saw hits of tooth #2starting but hasnt popped through uet. I hope it does soon because shes been waking every hour overnight the last 3 nights, im a bit over it...
Quark says mum and dad and this random loud sound we think is her calling her sister.
How does yoir son still crawl in the brace Phybee?? I just cant picture it. How long does he have to wear it?
Hi Ladies. Lovely to hear from you and get updates on your December bubs. They all sound like they are very busy moving about and cutting teeth. Hope the brace helps your wee one pheebee, yay for it not impeding on his crawling.
My boy is the same - almost 8 teeth, waking often during the night, crawling, plays peek a boo, still bfing but loves his tukka and is feeding himself our foods, saying a couple of words but exploring with sounds, very whiney atm but still totally delicious!
He's got it until January TT40. It's quite cute! I'll have to post a video on FB so you can see. He is also saying Mum and Dad but usually Dad when he is happy and Mum when he is upset or hungry. Not sure about a sister noise yet, I'll have to listen for that.
Yea, Quarks simular with when she says dad and mum. She says mum when she has crawled somewhere and is lost or stuck, she calls me to rescue her
Hi everyone, I was in the belly buddies group with a lot of you and sort of went AWOL sorry. Our little man was born in November so I belong in a different group but wanted to say hello :)
Hi! How you going?
Hello DDB. How are you? Little ones birthday soon hey!
Hi DDB. I was in the January group but my little dude just made it into the Dec group.
How is everyone else going? What are your bubby's up to? Any Birthday present ideas? My little dude is going so well. Still on the boob. Starting to walk furniture but certainly not about to walk. He is the cutest thing. I weighed him at work a few days ago and he was 10.38kgs and 75cm long. He now has a mass of curly hair. He has a good appetite which makes him easy to feed and he finally has a bottle at times. He might only drink 20mls but its better then nothing as I return to work next week.
Hi Rosey, how is your Bub? I am good. Lincoln's bday in 20 days :(
Hi Mildez.
Do you all mind if I hang around here? The November group isn't really happening.
Lincoln is doing really well. Still a boobie monster, eats like a horse and stands now. He has started to walk along furniture a bit too. He's 11.5kg but I'm not sure how tall. He had a rough start but he's an amazing little boy. :)
How was Lincoln's 1st Birthday DDB? What did you get him? Definitely come and chat although unfortunately these days bellybelly seems very quiet. Is he walking now?
Happy Birthday to all the December bubbies.
DS is just starting to take a few steps. He took 5 today. That's the most he has done so far unassisted. He is such a cute boy. Very busy and getting into stuff now. He loves putting objects in odd places. The bathroom has to be closed constantly as the toilet is a favourite. Very hard when you have young children that need to go to the toilet and forget to shut the door.
In other news we are expecting another baby. A massive surprise and one unfortunately my husband is very unhappy about. We have been preventing whilst waiting for DH to have his vasectomy and DS is still BF a lot (although I realise after 6months its not a reliable form of contraception) It wasn't in our plan but now its on its way I can see our future with her/him in it. The MS has been pretty crippling and the shock has taken a while to sink in. After taking years and multiple m/c's to fall pregnant with the last 2 it seems a bit of a miracle to be expecting so soon after DS. I had a scan last week that showed a lovely little HB and normal looking pregnancy. Hopefully the next 7months will be pretty uneventful.
Congratulations Mildez, such exciting news.
Lincoln's birthday was amazing, we got him an activity cube and a little walker with blocks. We had a party and everyone spoiled him. He's not walking yet but cruises around furniture. He's just such a happy little man who is adored by his big sister :)
Glad to hear Lincoln had such a lovely birthday.
How did the other babies birthdays go? My DS isn't until the end of the month. We have filled the sand pit up and have him some toys for that and a car thing he can play in and be pushed around on.
Merry Christmas to everyone :)
WOW Mildez Congratulations. I hope your hubby changes his tune soon, that must be hard on you. I hope your feeling ok and all goes smoothly for you all.
Hi everyone. I don't really use a BB anymore ~ not TTC, Pregnant or caring for a NB so probably won't be on again for some time. Take care of yourselves and your little loves. Happy Birthday December Babies! Can't believe a year has passed!
How are the December 2014 babies going? (and November/Jan ones)
My little boy is awesome. Still boobing alot which is abit frustrating now my boobs are so sore. His such an active little boy. Running around, climbing everything. His pointing to some body parts and can say about 10 words. Not really putting anything together except (derit-is) for there it is. His in childcare 2 days a week whilst I work which is going ok. He often cries when I leave him but does seem to enjoy it just doesn't want me to go.
Hi Mildez, L is going well. 18 months next week. He's running around everywhere, still boobing away [emoji3] wakes once or twice a night still which is a huge improvement to what he was. He says a few words but his favourite thing it to roar when I ask what a dinosaur says [emoji23]
He follows his sister everywhere and is into everything.
They are busy aren't they? My boy is a little tornado. We are renovating so the baby gates are down and he loves pulling things out of the cupboards, bookcase, wardrobes etc. Its non stop. His favourite thing is his outdoor play. Loves splashing in water and digging in the sandpit. Feeding the chooks, chasing the dog (lucky she trots along just in front of him and is incredibly sweet natured). He also LOVES the lawnmower and Dads shed. His so different to the girls in the fact his attracted to what one would typically see as a "boys" thing. The girls try to dress him up as a princess, fairy, paint his nails etc and he doesn't want a bar of any of it.
