great read hun!
:o god no there wont be 3 in this house!!!!! ive still gotta convince DH into number 2!!!
oohh i hear u :( DD is now in 000 long legged jumpsuits and they are just about to small, as in next week i rekon ill have to pull out the 00 ones to make room for her legs!
hope u can get some help!
another great read!!
hope u get some sleep soon!!
i havnt got u on my FB but if u wanna add me, im on amelias friends list under sam kelly, my profile pic is DD with the dog!
AFU: nothing major to report, madam is still going along nicely....
as i said to disgirl she is about a week away from not fitting into the long legged and armed jumpsuits, im devestated!! :shakehead: she is only 7.5 weeks old surely thats not normal!!!
ive ordered her some slumbersac sleeping bags from ebay ready to start weaning her off being wrapped coz she gets out more often than not so might as well get going on that now.
hope ur all keeping well!
Hi Tegam, your such a good example, lol.
Crumpet: Sounds like Summah is growing well! I've got a few sleeping bags for SB but haven't used them yet, he likes being swaddled too much at the moment.
Miztique: That sucks :( It could be wind or a growth spurt? I hope you get some answers and help soon, it's horrible when you want help and people aren't good at providing it.
Em: Awesome birth story :) So glad it went how you planned!
Lilias: I'm on FB too, pm me your name and I'll add you :)
AFM - well yesterday was a killer! I think SB had/is having a growth spurt cos he wanted to feed CONSTANTLY! I think I had a small boy attached to me about 22 hours of the day.
Gotta go, it's still not over!
Miz, I hope you can get some help - your doc sounds pretty ordinary. Have you contacted the ABA?
Kel, I read your birth story - I can't believe you were out at a playcentre while you were in labour! I hope your little man gives you some sleep soon. It could be the heat that's making him so unsettled, it's bloody awful!
Crumpet, sorry to say, but they can grow that fast :( DS2 was in 0000's for only two weeks and when he was in hossy at 3 months he was already in '0' jumpsuits :( He was a bit of a boofa though - and still is! Go on, go for three, or even better FOUR! You know you want to ;)
Sleeping bags are brilliant. Both my first two practically lived in them as wee bubbas. Especially DS1 who was a late April bub.
Tegam, glad to hear from you!!!!
Kit, I hope you don't have the stinking hot weather we have with SB attached to you so much. I am yet to have one of those days, but I bet it's coming this week when DH goes back to work and I have to try and wrangle all three of them myself. Hope you're doing okay.
Us: It's stupidly hot here - above 35 degrees for the seventh day in a row. Tomorrow is apparently the last day of the heatwave thank God. I want the big boys to be able to go outside again before they drive me completely insane! Josh is still letting me have sleep and I can't believe the difference it makes compared to DS2 (who is also still sleeping well compared to normal). Last night I got five hours' and then another four hours'. I can't believe it most of the time! He's still a pooing champion though and loves to poo in new, clean nappies. He's still got a teeny tiny waist and skinny legs so we're up to box #3 of newborn nappies. I'm going to dig out the cloth nappies I bought for him soon and see if they'll fit him yet. I can't decide whether it will be easier or harder having two in cloth, although I don't remember it being hard with DS1 and DS2...
My three big boys are off swimming at the inlaws tonight so it's just me and Josh, who is sleeping. There was no way I was taking him out in this heat (no aircon at the inlaws) and I still can't swim so I didn't want to go anyway! The peace and quiet is amazing. I might have to ship the bigger kids (and DH) off more often :D
Disgirl, I hear you, my older two winkies spent a week at my parents house when OK was about 3 weeks, It was heaven, I felt a bit guilty... You wanta swap weather, its cold here today..
Crumpet, PK is getting tom big for his 0000 but still fitting into most of them its so sad when they move up in clothes, but I have found different companies are making the jumpsuits in different sizes, target ones seem much smaller than the kmart ones, makes it so much harder to know what sizes to buy, I brought a whole heap of 00 and 0 last year for PK this winter, but now I am thinking they might all be still too big... Bugger
I read both the birth stories Boy you girls can right lol I would be lucky to write 5 lines about PKs birth lol, but will try to get it down one of theses days... They were a great read btw...
I am so cold today, have to say its one thing I really dont like about melbourne, Iwant my hot sticky weather back! lol, PK was so grumpy yesterday all because he had not done a poop, lol he ended up doing two smallish ones last night, and a HUGE one this morning...
Oh and for the last two mornings PKs nappies have leaked! so he ends up wetting my bed and his PJs but I think its my fault as when I take his wet nappy off he willie is not pointing down lol must remember to point it down even in my half sleep...
lets hope we get to see summer come back soon I am no way ready to say good bye to her yet...
 i was particularly unattractive yesterday!!
she is doing really well!
i got a bargain yesterday, a sprout sleeping bag for $8.45!!!! im just waiting for it to dry so i can get her into it!
:o god ur poor boobs!
dont tell me that im still in denial that she is growing!! let alone growing fast!
:o 3 or 4 ur kidding me, ill be happy with 2!!!
we are on box 3 of newborn nappies have enough for the week id say then im going to try the aldi ones and see if she is big enough for them yet....
 for good sleep!
oh really? ill have to have a look at kmart....
i like target stuff, but i think we need to get the footless ones, the pumpkin patch ones we have still fit coz they dont have feet.....
AFU:
well girls we have a bit of a announcement to make!!
DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!
SUMMAH SLEPT THROUGH LAST NIGHT!!!!!:birthday2:
i fed her at 7 for bed and she stayed awake till 830 and that was it out for the night, DH dreamfed her at 1030 like usual and i herd her whinge a bit at 5 but she wasnt crying so i didnt go in and then i herd her at 630!!! and even then she wasnt screaming so i went and got her and put her in our bed for a cuddle and she dozed off till just after 7!!! i was soooo impressed!!!
mind u it bit us in the ass this morning coz she refused to even sleep 15mins so ended up feral but thats ok DH had to deal with it coz i was doing groceries! lol...
Hiya ladies,
Well this will be a bit of a poor me post today. DS is becoming a totally different baby. He is being so so clingy and horrible. He isn't sleeping properly and is just like his sister was when she was tiny. My eyeballs are hanging out of my head and my house is an absolute pigsty. I had a bit of a teary morning cause all I have done is sit on the lounge trying to feed, or wearing paths in the carpet with trying to settle Caelan. My poor other kids don't even get a look-in, let alone DH! He cried and grizzled all night last night and only at about 4am did he go to sleep properly until 10am. When DH goes back to work, I am going to have to deal with DS1 waking 1-2 times a night, plus not sleeping because of DS2 and then getting up at 6am with DD. I so can't do this sleeples thing again. I will go bananas. Literally. Seriously. Not joking with you, I really really will! How will I cope??? DH says 'you just will, like you did with the other two'. And yep I guess I will because I have to. It won't last that long I suppose. But to know that I will end up in the depths of depression due to the sleepless nights and exhaustion, like I was when I had them....well I just really don't want to feel like that again. Ugh. This sucks. He was such a good baby a week ago.
Lilias: will have to find you on fb. Oh and I hear you on the no sleep. MJ won't go to sleep before 2am at night and i'm exhausted. Dh is working nightshift and I haven't managed to have a nap cos she keeps waking so i['m going to struggle tonight. You'll get by hun just make sure you reach out for help and support if you need  hopefully it's just a stage. (typing one handed with MJ in my arms)
crumpet: yay on summah slleping all night!
newdawn: cold here too today I had to put long sleves on!! like WTF
Disgirl: you should have come here today for some relief from the heat it was freezing!
Kit: hope your boobs got a bit more rest today
miz: have you sorted out the breastfeeding issue you had?
TIRED that is all but mum was up and she helped heaps so i'm thankfull for that but she had to go home today :(
got u on FB hun....
you poor thing! i hope he is just going through a stage, and i really cant offer nay advice im sorry coz i havnt had experience with sleeping issues (well not yet!), but i can offer you loads of squishy 's and ill send u loads of sleeping vibes too...
thanks hun!
i replied to u on FB but just wanted to send u more 's and send u and malaila sleepy vibes!
sorry been MIA havent been on much at all really lately not even reading :O
Well i still have milk just don't know whats going on, i think K is just a very hungry baby but surely you would think he's over it by now, i've given in and ill BF all day unless he gets too screamy then ill FF of a night (1-2 bottles), but most the time i just still try and fully BF
He has been drooling abit today so i really wonder if he is teething (gums aching from the moving around in his gums) and wonder if thats why he is so unsettled, Dr said it could be possible
Well i have no idea but K doesn't like me leaving him, i clean the lunchroom and office once a week for DF's boss and tonight when i went to do it K was ok, when i get home DF said as soon as i walked out the door K fully got into histerical screaming fit, and he cries when DF holds him, i think he just loves his mummy :) hehe
Ill try get back into posting just finding it hard cause K isnt really getting into a routine so we still all over the place :( and im hating it
Hi Girls :)
I haven't forgotten about you, promise!
I haven't been reading or posting coz i'm a slack tart but DH is home for a couple of days only (due to the cyclone last week he got stuck up at work) so i'll hopefully pop on and have a full read through. I did take the time last night though to write P's birth story, which can be found here if you're interested.
P is doing really well and is a good sleeper which is keeping me sane whilst DH is away at work. DD loves him and sleeps through his tanty's which is wonderful. Feeding is going okay, still very sore but persevering in the hope it will eventually get better.
Hope you're all doing well, and your little bubs too!
xo
Hi everybody!
I can't believe my littlest guy is four weeks old already! I'm sensing a recurring theme.... I can't believe how old he is every week
Life returned to normal today and I'm totally exhausted! Had bedtime, all night and then all morning by myself. Only got about four hours' sleep with the boys getting up in chronological order - grrrrr! DS1 got up for the day at 6:30 to top it off. We made it to school on time though, probably because I had so long to get them all ready. DS3 has been a bit unsettled today, I think it was the garlic and onions in the home-made hamburgers last night. The older two were intolerant too when they were wee bubs - I should have just avoided them altogether. I've had to hold Josh just about all day. He needs to be upright.
Aaaaaargh! Gotta go, DS2 is after me... again....
Hi all,
Disgirl - Sorry hun, just wanted to let you know i got your PM, I will call you soon. Will meet up soon too, just atm though I have kids with the flu again, so will need to wait now until they are all better. Glad all is back to normal for you. hugs
As for the way time is flying with our bubs, I cant believe Little Chloe is 7wks today. It has gone too quick. She still fits in 5 zeros, but dont think it will be long for her to move up to 4 zeros. In the full legged jumpsuits, yet a bit longer for the summer outfits. So still little but chubbing up a bit too.
Well, as I mentioned to Disgirl, I have some sick kids again, DD2 yet she is at school, Little V and bubba chloe. Poor little things. Poor little Chloe is having a ahard time with the sniffles. Ohh and the smiles she gives me, with her little noises she makes is just too cute. Yet as soon as she gives a smile, a frown on her face soon follows. lol. She looked cranky on her u/s pics, its so funny to see her still giving that cranky look. lol. She is losing some of her hair, which looked quite dark when she was born but has gotten lighter over time, still darker then V's though. Yet will be interesting to see how light her hair gets. I love the way she tries to talk to me, really cute. I will talk to her and she replies. love it.
Anyway I need to get going, have some errands to do for DH, yay fun.... not. Would prefer to crash out on the lounge while the girls sleep. Ohh well.
Hello everybody.........im FO3 and i have been a hell slack cow haha
MIZ- i had the same probs with bf ive now got no milk :( But i was told to take fenagreek to boost supply but i got some too late
Im sorry no personals honestly ive only just skimmed the last page :S WOW has it been a crazy 3 weeks in this house. Good nights n bad ones.Last night was awesome Phoebe went to sleep at 8:30pm and didnt wake till 3am WOOOOO so freakin impressed!! Cant beleive she is 3 weeks already it has gone way to fast and she is growin too fast too.
Do hope you are all ok and i will try to pop on more just has been so full on lil miss has decided that sometimes she just like to cry everytime she is put down :( lol
FO3 - Your not the only one. lol Look over my direction.
Tegam - Hows everything going? Unlike you to be soooo quite......... Hope all is well. hugs
Crumpet - So glad Summah is doing well, its nice to have such a trouble free bub. Your doing a wonderful job. As for No.2, I thought I would only have 2, then when I did and it was another boy, I wanted another, then I lost that one and the next, then finally got my DD, then unexpectedly feel pg with DD2 when BFing, then I still felt like something was missing then tried again to have another 2 losses then little V, then i just didnt want V to be alone, and surprisingly ended up pg with Chloe. I wont be having anymore, yet I still have to keep reminding myself of that. lol. Absolutely hopeless arent I. hugs
Em - I hope all is well with you hun, hope your little girl is being kind to mummy. Look after yourself hun. hugs
Well thats all i can do for now, I am so tired and just cant function atm.
Forgot to mention that it is the anniversary today for the loss of my twins (it has been 8yrs) also the passing of my dad just 6yrs ago. Cant believe how time has flown.
New dawn - hehe for pointing down - they taught me that one in the hospital and I learned the hard way that it's really important :) (several loads of bassinet linen washing over the course of 2 days)
crumpet - woohoo for sleeping through! after a few dodgy nights, last night was much better - asleep at 7:30, next feed not until nearly 1am - as I'd gone to bed at 8pm, I actually had a good night's sleep (except woke with a headache unfortunately)
lilias - big, big hugs - that's so not fun. Any reasons for unsettledness like wind or reflux?
Mitz - big hugs to you too - it's nice when they just want mummy, but also sometimes not so nice when there's other things that need doing!
Anise - hope the soreness passes soon - I had to express on my right side for a while to give it a break, but now it's all smooth sailing
Disgirl - I hear you on the garlic and oninons - I've eliminated everything I can think of from my diet to see if it helps with DS's gassiness, today's new experiment is eliminating soy (which is hard since I've already eliminated dairy - no cereal with soy milk for me).
fo3 - hi! no such thing as being slack when you're a new mum! don't even think that :) I think it's amazing that anyone is able to post in here at all! Good job, girls!
csab - hugs to you for your sad anniversaries today - aren't the little bubs we have even more precious because of them :)
So, long sleeved/legged outfits are so wasted over here - haven't had DS in one at all yet - if I had another summer bub I'd invest in heaps of singlet suits - they're the most used clothing item here.
Had appt with CHN this morning - good to talk over things - DS has put on another 300g in the last week, so he's up to 5.6kg now - at least all the long feeds have been good for something!
DH's birthday tomorrow, so need to make a card to go with the presi - we already celebrated on Sunday, so tomorrow's a pretty normal day - I asked him if he wanted something in particular for dinner and he said whatever I'm making is fine, so no effort required here! A friend who is an amateur photographer is popping around tomorrow morning to meet DS and take some pics, so hopefully I can get him to smile for the camera - he's just started giving big grins this week (usually after a feed) :) Love, love, love the smiles! Makes it easier to cope with the cranky times!
Hi Ladies, sorry i have been super quiet lately, been very busy and trying to focus on the kids more and less on the computer.
Have been trying to read but sometimes it gets away from me.
Am not great emotionally at the moment, today is a year since my BFP and the start of 20hrs of medical stuff ups that almost cost me my life, finishing with the emergency ectopic surgery. Also have been trying to process Mollys birth and the wrong/right decisions we made with my care throughout her pregnancy. With DH being away so 12 of the last 14days im bushed and confused with all this. I am just so thankful i have molly to gaze at, she really is perfect and a true gift from above. So sorry about my lack of personals, im sure ill bounce back soon. Miss Moo is also 6 weeks tomorrow and i am in complete denial over how quick it os going Disgirl hehe! Dont worry about me, i just wanted to let you know why i have taken a bit of a step back from BB, FB and my mobile phone! Loving the familytime tho.
Love you all and will BBL!
thats made me want hamburgers for dinner!
oh no!
hope the kids get better soon hun!
spew bout ur milk going away hun!
glad everything is going well other than that though!
thanks hun!
its great to have such a easy baby, i really was prepared for a nightmare baby but she has been such a pleasant suprise!! im  hardcore she doesnt change!!
oohhh i can guarantee you that there is no way there will be more than 2 kids, unless a 2nd preg ended up with multiples!
 hope u coped ok yesterday
yay sounds like a great sleep!
its awsome to have a full nights sleep!
yay for DS doing so well!
hope ur DH has a great birthday, yay for smiles too!!
oh hun bug squishy 's hope ur doing a bit better today.....
AFU: well ive scored myself a :cold: and feel like absolute pooh.....
looks like ill be scoffing panadol like its tic tacs today!
we have started to swap summah over from being wrapped to sleep to using a sleeping bag.
yesterday her morning sleep, well the pathetic excuse for a sleep, she wore it and slept around 45mins straight, which she usually does but in 15 min stints usually, and then yesterday arvo she did her usual 3hr stint in her sleeping bag.
this morning i woke up at 630 and she wwas still asleep- actually she is still asleep now- and couldnt remember getting up ( coz i didnt get up during the night!) and she is wrapped!!!
called DH and he decided that becasue im not feeling great me getting a decent sleep was more important than getting up 300 times to settle her...
was a bit angry but now im so thankful, so i think we might wait till this cold passes then swap her over to sleeping bag at night as well as during the day!
so another sleep through here!
ARGH im so over my body, i have started bleeding AGAIN
Im going for an U/S tomorrow morning at 11:30 to check and make sure i have no retained placenta cause of this bleeding, i woke this morning and went to the bathroom only to leak blood all over the toilet seat and floor :shakehead: ive had enough of this
So glad everyones doing well :)
csab - sorry i missed you yesterday,i do think your twins and your dad are def smileing down on you. Your such a strong woman :)
Jen - awww thanks hun. Yep its way to hot here for long sleeved things now.We were pretty good we got all short sleeved we only have 2 long sleeved items and they were given to us.And we too have not used them.
hmm Phoebe is crying i shall be back to finish
tegam - family definitely takes priority over fb, bb and anything else technological :) Take all the time you want, and it's not surprising you're having a tough time considering you're doing it on your own atm - big hugs to you and yay for those Molly cuddles!
crumpet - boo to the cold - hope u get over it quickly, especially with all that awesome sleep!
Mitz - glad you're getting checked out - better to have peace of mind - all the best with the u/s tomorrow - hugs to you too :)
Had a less than awesome night, 3 feeds overnight because DS woke for the first one at 11pm - I think he had some wind, which woke him, but once awake he decided he was hungry too. Unfortunately that makes the 3rd feed at 5am, by which time it's getting light in DS's room, so in order to get him to sleep some more he came in with us - I let him go until 7:30am. Has had another nap now - but I can hear him, so off I go . . .
Hi all,
Jen10, I have been wondering if C has reflux. He doesn't cry alot or arch his back or anything, but does cry out like a single cry and he grizzles alot though, so not sure, maybe a more mild case of it..?? He seems to vomit alot to me. And he wants to feed alot too, which is making me wonder if he's feeding for comfort from the pain, then vomits more because he's over eaten, and vomiting hurts, so he wants to feed...yada yada! I don't know. You'd think 3rd time round I might have some idea! He's really windy too. He farts like there's no tomorrow, and by god does he stink! He hasn't pooped for about 3-4 days either so that could be a reason for him being unsettled too. If I burp him, I will usually get at least 1 burp out of him, no matter how long after a feed I do it. I have tried eliminating everything I can think of that might cause wind- dairy, chocolate, coffee, tea, certain veggies (cabbage, garlic ect...) but I don't know if that's helping or not. I'm desperate for some chocolate but don't wnat to have any in case it makes things worse, lol!
Milly, hello lovely! So sorry you're feeling crappy. I hope you can get out of it soon. Feeling like that really sucks, I know! When does your DH come home? Maybe a bit of time out for you would help? With Molly of course, but maybe you could get a massage or just go out for some coffee and cake without all of the kids with you.
And every decision you made in regards to Molly's labour and birth was right. You both came out of labour and birth healthy and as you say, she is perfect. Be kind to yourself babe. We all do the best we can armed with all of the information we have at the time. You did the right thing. Try not to second guess yourself now. You can't change it.
Crumpet, hope you're feeling better. Having a cold and a new baby is tough. I got sick with my first two within the first few weeks too. It's horrible when you're trying to work this little person out, but all you want to do is rest and you can't.
Mizqte, hope your U/S goes well and you don't have any retained 'products'. And I hope your body sorts itself out too.
I am around too, I have been reading, but finding time to post is the hardest part. And this is with DH home! I have only found time today because the two big kids are at day care today. Well, we are going ok, the last few days have been slightly better than before. Caelan slept pretty well last night, no long periods of wakefulness last night, but still he woke for 3 feeds, til we woke at 5am and were mostly awake til 7am when I finally got tired of trying to get him to go back to sleep. He is still sooo very restless though and cries out alot in his sleep, and grizzles, grunts and growls alot too, which makes for a very restless sleep for me. He's still really spewy too and windy. I am wondering if he'd be better off in his cot by himself rather than cosleeping, but don't know how it will all work once DH goes back to work and DS1 needs me to sleep with him at night too...:dunno: so not looking forward to next week. I'm thinking I will be a nut case come next Wednesday due to lack of sleep and no DH home with me...
Ok got a mountain of washing and another mountain of folding to try to catch up on, so gotta go, I hope everyone is well!
Ok back now where was i haha
Jen - Happy bday to your DH. Yay for your friend taking pics :) I do hope you get better sleep today
Tegam - Sorry sorry to hear you have not been having the best emotional time i do hope it gets better soon *hugs* I do agree everything here has taken a big giant leep back and family has def taken over its nice tho to have the time but i do get a lil lonely during the day sometimes without any adult convo :S
Crumpet - thanks hun. I hear ya on the sleeping bags. Phoebe sleeps sooo much better wrapped atm then in her gro bag :S I do hope your cold goes away fast for you.Sux being ill with a littlie
Miz - best of luck for your scan *fingers crossed* Ive had bleeding on and off too.It goes for a day or 2 then i get a bit more then it goes...sooo annoying
Lilias - hello there love :) Im not sure if i have said hi or not before ive been so absent from here lol
AFM - does anyone have some sort of routine of a morning? I seem to find i do the same thing everymorning. Get up with Phoebe at 6:30-7 feed her DH gets up makes coffee. The boys then get up and get brekky.Phoebe goes back to bed i make lunch's and pack bags. DH heads off at 7:30. I get dressed then lil miss wakes again. Then we go to school. I get back feed miss then go and try to get dishes done put a load of washing on too and sweep then try and have brekky. haha
and i seem to do it everyday.Clearly works better on some days more than others depending on missy lol.
Ok so question? Phoebe hates pooping.I mean every single time she poops she screams and i mean screams legs out straight red face and all and as soon as she is done she stops and goes on like normal. Its odd and ive never seen it before so.....has anyone else had this?
thanks ladies
i stopped bleeding wheb K was 3wks old then i started again just before he turned 6wks which i just thought was a period which went for a week then i stopped for a week then started again on monday :(
I have no idea whats going on, im hoping the U/S tomorrow shows no retained 'products' cause i dont want a D&C
Just saying a quick hello!
SB finished his growth spurt/cluster feeding extravaganza and is back in his normal waking twice a night routine (phew!). He still hates sleeping during the day, but I just keep him close. He's already holding up his head a lot of the time and he loves to be held upright so he can practise walking, can't believe I can notice so many changes in him already! DH is hanging out for first smiles :)
Uni starts in 3 more weeks, I really really hope I can keep up this year...ack!
Hi everyone, It seems we are all having our ups and downs at the moment, Im finding the school run and pretty much anything else that requires me to take all 3 of them out of the house!! lol incredibly tough, but you just carry on dont you. I hope you are all enjoying those special moments with the newest member of you family. Nellie is lovely but has been really unsettled hense not being on computer, anyway hugs to you all xoxo ;)
thanks jen!
oh no! sorry u had a cruddy night with mr D
its not fun, but thankfully its not getting worse, its just not getting better either!
glad things have improved slightly for you.... maybe a night in his cot would give u a better sleep?
summah is doing well in her sleeping bag, she has both of her day sleeps in it, we havnt tackled night because of my cold!
we have a morning routine but its not going to help coz i dont have 2 other kids to look after!
basically i get up when i wake up at 7-8am, do a few things till Summah wakes up, change her bum but leave her in her pjs, then feed her, then she plays for a hour and then back to bed at around 9-930, generally she just lays there and whinges sometimes she will sleep a little bit, then up at 1130...
AFU: well we had Summahs 8 week needles done today!
poor thing screamed like ive never herd her scream before, but they handed her over and 30 seconds later she was fine, and back asleep! my little tough nut!
have dosed her up on panadol and have to keep it up for the next 48hrs to keep her comfy and control any temp that might pop up...
other than that she is doing really well...
got another sleep through last night!!! she was wrapped mind you.... im going to wait till my cold has gone and then ill tackle her night time sleeps with the sleeping bag, days are awsome so fingers crossed she does ok at night as well!
:birthday2:HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM!!!:birthday2:
Hi everybody. I'm still here. Just a a quick one again. Like Tegam, I'm spending more time with the boys and less time on the computer and watching tele. I've also starting using the Wii Fit again with DS1 which is interesting to say the least! At least we're both moving around a bit.
Josh is still a champ, only waking up the once at night which is the only reason I have retained my sanity! Loulou, I hear you on leaving the house with all three of them! It takes me 15 minutes just to load them all in the car and do all their carseats up! This morning I forgot two different things and realised at two different times after I'd locked the house and set the alarm. Needless to say, we were late for school...
Okay, DS1 is talking and I can't concentrate anymore. Ciao!
ummmmm im pretty sure they immunised Summah with "posess my baby and make her FERAL"....
WTF!?!?!?!?!?! she is foul!
poor thing i feel sorry for her, she is so out of sorts, and cranky!
will be lucky to eat my dinner without having to hold her tonight!
a bath just helped but now she is at it again!
even the try old dummy isnt cutting it!
next inline is a early bottle in the hope she will go to bed and get a good sleep!
lilias - could you try an incline on C's cot for a day sleep (e.g. prop up the legs on one side a little) to see if it helps with the grunting etc? I've heard that's what you can do for reflux babies - maybe look into how to do it safely though - I think either the legs of the cot are raised on one end or you get a wedge thing for under the mattress. Does C get upset with his wind? D gets very distressed, especially if he's in the middle of a sleep or is overtired. Other times he pops off and hardly blinks. I'm a bit over the early morning gas pains though - it's every morning at around 5-6am atm and it takes a while to settle him again. Even if I don't feed him again then, it's the same as a third getting up anyway. Fortunately he went down again at 6 this morning and I slept another hour and let him go until 7:30. He only had 4 30-min naps yesterday, so this morning he's pretty tired - fell asleep during morning wake time (totally unusual) and has gone down without any whinging - already 45 mins this morning. Will need to wake him in the next 15 mins otherwise I'll have no hope of an arvo nap from him. Boy, I hate waking him up!! My photographer friend had to cancel on Wed so she's coming today at 3, so I'm keen for him to have a decent sleep before that so he's not too grumpy for photos :)
fo3 - I'm pretty sure that it's normal for little bubs to get all red-faced as if they're constipated when they poo - everything I've ready seems to suggest it. As long as it's soft when it comes out, there's nothing to worry about. My DS is much better about his now - sometimes I don't even realise he's done it until I change his nappy - in the early days I knew all about it while they were going through!
Kit - that's great you're back to 2 wakes a night! It's annoying when they seem to go backwards with night sleeping, hey? I'm hoping in the next few weeks, D's gas will settle down as he matures and then we should have much better nights (not that I'm complaining - 6hrs sleep is about as bad as it gets over here - mainly because I'm in bed by 9 though!).
Crumpet - hope the crankiness passes quickly - I've got D booked in for his needles, but not for a couple of weeks cause they were pretty busy, not really looking forward to that!
Big yay - we got the keys to our new house!!! DH is leaving work at 3 this arvo to go and start putting sealer on the walls - I think his dad and bro are going to help. Then tomorrow he'll be back at it again and I'll probably head there at lunch to have a look. So, a busy few weeks ahead. Full-on painting for the next week. Air-con going in after that and we need to organise the security screens and blinds as well. Tiler can't do it until early March, so we'll hold off on carpet until then as well. Looking like a mid-March moving date! By that time DS will be nearly 3 months and I'm hoping he can last in his bassinet until then - I was planning to do the transfer to the cot in our new house rather than get him used to a new room here, only to move him again once we're in the new house. We'll see. Anyway, very excited about getting the house finished!
Have a great day everyone - enjoy the cuddles/smiles and hope you get a rest in there too :)
Hello lovely ladies!
Jen, I cosleep with DS in a snuggle bed on my bed so i can't elevate his bed. During the day I do try to keep him up for a while before I lay him back down, if I can actually get him to lay back down that is! He's usuallyon me alot of the day. I am going to have to dig out my mei tie sling and carry him I think. It's just soo hot here at the mo, I haven't wanted to use it. He does get very agitated with his wind. That's the main reason why he grumbles. If he's grumbling then I know he's going to either fart, burp, puke or poo. LOL. It's just a lucky dip as to which one it will be!
We have a very unsettled time in the early morning hours too. Though it's usually more like 4am here. Adn if I am lucky it's only for 20mins or so, though alot of the time, I'm up til 6am trying to settle him, then DD gets up around then. At the moment DH gets up with her, but when he goes back to work, I am dreading being awake all of that time. I don't cope well with no sleep :(
How exciting to have a new house!! Bet you can't wait move!!
Crumpet, I hope Summah is better today. Immunisations suck. I have to get Caelan immunised at 6wks here because there's been a huge outbreak of whooping cough, so they have brought it forwards two weeks for us :( So not looking forward to it!
Mel, good on you for pulling the wii out! I can't wait til I can start doing stuff again and feel like me a bit more! I took the kids to the park yesterday with DH and DD got stuck on some climbing equipment, I tried to run to free her and I just could not do it. My body just wouldn't move that way, my pelvis screamed at me with the SPD! Plus my inside felt like they would fall out cause my tummy muscles are SO weak.
Lucky you at gettingup only once a night! I seem to have made another frequent feeder and he was just playing with me when he gave me hope that he's be a good sleeper. He is up 3-4 times a night, better than hourly feeds, but still sooo sucky!
Hi to everyone else, seems I have been away too long, a certain little person is calling me...
kel do u give Caelan infacol or anything like that??
Summah had wind issues due to her antibiotics when she was discharged and its helped sooo much!
thanks hun, she is a lot better today, bit cranky but not anything to bad...
oh no! thats a bit scary!!
i really need to have my whooping cough done, just dont get around to booking it..... is it really necessary or not??
Hey girls- just a short one, things here are a little dramatic as baby Katherine has decided to be a little freaky and start teething at 2 months old! I always knew she was advanced but this is not the kind of advanced I was hoping for!!!
Poor baby- grumpy!!!!! And poor Mummy is VERY tired!!!!!
Glenny, has she got any teeth yet? Hopefully it won't drag on for you, but DS2 started teething at 4 months and got his first tooth at 7 months! Drove us all crazy!
Hi girls! I got a new nephew last night!!!! My sister gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy. I'm so proud of her, she did it without an epidural, which she wasn't sure she could do, but really wanted to after having her daughter with one a couple of years ago. We went to visit him this morning and Josh looks HUGE next to him already!!!! They are just over a month apart in age, they are going to be good mates :)
I did the trip to the hospital with all three boys by myself - thank God mum was there to help me once I got there. Wrangling three boys under four in a hospital is not an easy task!!!
hey chickens!!
sorry no personals, have a cranky sick baby on my hands :(
poor little mite has scored a cold and is far from impressed about it!
i went and invested in a vaporiser today and some chest rub ( em, tegam chemist said its ok to use euky rub) so im mixing that with her moisturiser and putting it on her chest, in the hope it clesrs up her snot really quick!
we have been using the aspirator and are getting out loads of gunk, the poor thing....
thankfully she has still been sleeping well so hopefully it doesnt affect that, just when she is sleeping through!
might have more time to catch up tomorrow!
Oh Gleny's im with you on this one i swear K has been teething since we bought him home from hospital ive had many many sleepless nights due to him screaming until i went with mummy instinct and bought some brauer teething relief and argh relief :)
We stuck Kaidyns dummy in the freezer and he went hell for leather on it and right there and then i knew he was teething, he chews my finger and also my nipple (Ouch that hurts)
Hope you get some sleep sooon
Crumpet- hope summah gets better soon
Kaidyn has had a stuffy nose and vicks chesty rub is fantastic so is euky rub
Dis- aww im jealous i still got till around the 21st March till my VERY FIRST Nephew is due, this is my first niece/nephew so im super excited, im going down for when he's born
Just a quick one - off to playgroup this morning - had 3 good nights in a row with just 2 feeds between 7pm and 7am (finally!) - David was even smiling as he went down for his morning nap - unbelievable! I'm coping very well with sleep when he only has those 2 feeds - I usually head to bed at 9pm so I'm able to get 8 hours total sleep. Hoping he has at least 45 mins now, then he'll probably nod off in the car on the way home - a bit of a long stretch between sleeps if he doesn't have one while we're out. Fortunately there'll be plenty of people who'll give him cuddles at playgroup!
Update on the house - painting is underway - the guys got the sealer put on during the wkend, now for the paint! Quotes for security screens being done this week, tiles are being done the last week of Feb, then air-con, then carpet. Should be able to move in the first half of March - can't wait! DS is really outgrowing the bassinet now, but I don't want to make the transition to the cot until we've moved otherwise it's lots of changes for him (the bassinet and cot are in different rooms at this place). Less than a month to go!
Hope you all have a great day :)
Hello all you sweet ladies!
Jen: Wow the house is coming along nicely!
My baby is 7 weeks tomorrow, wow, time to think about number 5
Molly is getting herself into a nice litte place, i cant say routeen as there is none for her poor chicken being pulled from bed all day everyday for the othe 3 kids activities but she is coping really well. This morning was my first morning of having the 4 kids and myself ready and out the door at 7.15am.....Grace got selected for the school choir so it meets before school.....ahhh On the plus side i had a great walk killing time until Evie was due at kindy at 9am...after yesterdays walk my legs are killing me but in a good way. I have lost 3kgs in the past 2weeks.
DH home tonight for one night then away again and his sisters are coming for a visit from NSW on the weekend, So i hope they arent too much work for me. But then DH is home for 6days YAY!
Better go and get some housework done :)
